судя по отзывам у кого-то в скайпе она работает, а у кого-то так же нет, так что берите на свой страх и риск.

- + Очень нравится камера, работает без нареканий что-то около 4 лет, проблем никаких нет, качество изображение конечно не очень, но для скайпа хватает. Очень хороший микрофон, ловит голос даже с другого конца комнаты, да и пишет лучше чем любой настольный микрофон до 500 руб.
небольшой апдейт: камера работает и по сей день (июль 2020), то есть уже 8 лет
.upd. август 2022 года, камера работает до сих пор без нареканий)
upd. - октябрь 2023 года - камера всё еще работает! - - Нет

This is my first standalone webcam--aside from the inbuilt ones I've used on laptops. I wanted a webcam specifically for my desktop because that's my workstation which I'm always chained to. I saw it as a nuisance to dust my laptop only to use the webcam. I'm not a video blogger, so I wanted something casual but not necessarily low-end.This webcam fit my needs and more and I'm very pleased with it. For the 14 dollars that I paid for it, it had amazingly good sound and video quality which I tested through webcam sessions (on gMail and Skype).Pros:-This webcam overachieved the quality of audio/video for its price.-The price-The in-built microphone is a real blessing. I did not want to have my bulky gaming headset on while I did a webcam session with my mom. The in-built microphone really is a hands-free experience. This was the feature that I was sold on.-Nice zoom and pan feature. Also, this webcam doesn't have a shutter for the lens for privacy but the included (and simple) software does give you an option to set your "preference" to "stream" a static picture of nature-related images (the kind that could pass off as wallpapers for the Mac). This means if you choose to do a webcam session (without wanting to show yourself) and you enabled video, they would see this picture in real time instead, but still be able to hear you.-I've been hearing issues with the clip. First of all, it is a misconception that it's a clip. It's more like a loose clamp which will work well with LCD/LED monitors (CRT may be too thick). Mine is a Samsung 2333. It may take some finesse in adjusting it to it 's not set at a precarious angle, but once you get it it stays on.-The "right-light" feature works very well. I've tested this webcam sitting in a dark room with just the glow of my computer screen, and the webcam did a good job in enhancing the light (also tested this on Skype and gTalk). In addition, I also back-lit myself, and still my face was not engulfed in shadow. This is the feature that I found very handy.Cons:-Lack of support for the Mac when other Logitech devices like their mice support PC and Macs, this one would have been a boon to the Apple community.-Maybe the length of the cord could be longer. It works for me but I could see why it would fluster others.-Always-focus didn't quiet work for me, but it wasn't a problem. It's not like I'm working out when I'm using the webcam so slight movement wasn't too bad. My friends said the frame rate would drop a little but it wasn't a slideshow.-I can't say much about the noise-cancellation since I have always had my webcam sessions when it is quiet in the room. Although one of my friends did say he could hear a conversation that was happening on the other side of the door (I live in a dorm room) so I was bit surprised at that. I think your best bet is to not rely too heavily on this feature of the webcam since it seems to be a hit-and-miss. If noise-cancellation an absolute necessity, then I would play it safe and upgrade to a more high-end webcam.-Correct me if I'm wrong over this but on this page, this webcam is listed to be YouTube Ready and yet on the packaging of the box , it doesn't say anything about YouTube (it re-iterates that it works for MSN, Yahoo, Skype, GMail, and AOL but the Amazon product page also has the YouTube logo. Does anyone know what this is about? Please let me know if you find out.**edit: This webcam is indeed, YouTube ready and can be found under the Logitech Webcam software (not Logitech Vid HD which is where I was looking). You can take pictures/record yourself and then publish to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter where you will be asked to log-in to any of these accounts. It's good to have this right at your fingertips without having to open your browser.Final verdict: Definitely get these. I was going to settle on webcams that were cheap but too bulky, or sleek/small but too expensive. The C210 balances price with compact design along with quality very well, and it falls in perfect harmony. They also happen to go tremendously well with my Logitech LS11 speakers.

Well, I wanted to get this up and running quickly to do a review of it, but honestly got a bit hung up in a few places.First things first, mounting it on the monitor wasn't terribly intuitive. Maybe I'm just new to portable webcams...When they say "clip," they don't mean it in the usual "spring-loaded for tension/gripping" sort of way. I had to read the manual to figure out how it's supposed to rest on the laptop monitor. Apparently you line up a little tab on the bottom with the front of your laptop screen, then adjust a rubber-footed leg on the back so it braces against the back of the laptop screen.Once it's on, it seems stable enough that it won't fall backward when you adjust the webcam. Though, it's pretty easy to pull off in the forward direction, since there's nothing bracing it in that direction. So, if you reach for something behind the webcam, be sure not to hit it from behind or you might dislodge it, and I won't guarantee it's sturdy.Secondly, when I installed the webcam on my HP 1000 Mini netbook, it started crashing as long as the Logitech webcam was plugged in. I THINK it was conflicting with the onboard webcam, as the crashing stopped or at least was far less frequent when I disabled the onboard webcam.Honestly, I'm not sure whether it's a hardware issue, a software conflict issue, or a "user malfunction" issue (though having worked with computers for a good while I don't think I did anything the average user wouldn't do in trying to set up the web cam).To get away from the conflicting hardware, I moved the webcam over to my desktop and installed the drivers there. (I'm running Windows XP on both machines). On the desktop there was no issue with crashing the machine. Which is a relief, on account of my old SiPix iQuest Roam would always crash it. So, it's a point in Logitech's favor that the desktop didn't crash after the webcam was installed.However, when I started testing the webcam and some of the software that comes with it to adjust things like contrast, brightness, etc. (handy for low-light conditions), the video started getting intermittent but persistent vertical white lines across the entire video playback.I haven't yet diagnosed the issue. So, I'm not sure whether it's specific to that system (the video card or some other defect), the Logitech hardware (general problems or a defective unit) or a software issue (I first noticed the issue when playing with the settings for low-light video, but that may be coincidental and the problems may have developed regardless; setting the software back to the default values did not seem to correct the issues).At some point, I'll come back to this and try to get it all figured out and working properly. But for now, I'm giving it a rest and working on some other stuff.From what I did see prior to hardware/software issues, the image quality seemed reasonably good. Though, my old webcam was a junky VGA (640x480) unit that pretty much ANYthing would be better than. This unit supports up to 1.3 megapixel resolution (1280x1024), which is toward the low-end of their offerings. So, this is a very entry-level unit. For the price it seems decent enough. I'm not sure why one would need a considerably higher resolution webcam, except perhaps if one was doing a lot of professional videoconferencing or using it to produce professional-ish videos / still images (one would think that you'd buy a real digital camera or video camera for that stuff, though).----------Update (7-25-10): On the up side, I decided to test the microphone today and turned on Skype. I set the microphone to the webcam and set the video to the webcam. I clicked the test call button. Recorded a message. Message played back fine. Unlike the Logitech noise canceling (I call it voice-canceling) microphone I bought months ago, this actually picks up voice pretty danged well from a moderate distance (you don't have to swallow the web cam's mic to get proper voice to pick up). I pinged a friend in Australia who's been bugging me to chat for a while. First call, Skype wouldn't patch through the video either way. So we hung up, he killed GIMP (he was editing a big image on a slow computer) and reinitiated the call. Everything went swimmingly. We talked for about 1/2 hr. Video was of good quality. He said the image quality was extremely sharp (he could see detail on the wall behind me, there was no pixelation and the image looked well-balanced despite lamp being sort of in the background; though I did have to move it off to the side earlier, else the image was blown out or I was too dark in the image).So, it seems to work fine now. I'm not sure why the video developed weird white vertical lines in prior testing. Maybe it was just a Windows issue or a transient software glitch. So far so good. Certainly beats out the old webcam from 2002-ish that would constantly crash Windows.

This is my first experience with using a webcam. The brand name, Logitech, and the low Amazon.com price and Amazon customer reviews convinced me it was time to buy this webcam. You can use the Logitech Webcam C210 on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The "Getting Started" booklet is printed in English, Spanish, French and Portugues. Their are also Logitech URL's listed to help you with setting up or learning more about a feature. If your computer does not have a monitor stand with USB ports to connect the webcam to, it will still work if you connect the webcam's USB plug into your console, under the VGA plug. Your computer will instantly register that you are connecting a webcam driver. At this time, do insert your Logitech installation disc into your console. A window will pop up with your Logitech Webcam Installation. It will take you through 4 easy steps during the installation. Basically you will be waiting 13 minutes or less while it automatically installs, then it will help you with signing up to Logitech Vid HD, so you can do video calling, cam to cam. During installation, you might get a window pop-up that tells you to update. No problem. This is easy too. Just agree. It only takes 14MB. You will notice, 2 icons have appeared on your menu screen. Logitech Webcam and Logitech Vid HD. On some websites, you do not have to have the Logitech Vid HD software on to use the cam. Just click on the Logitech Webcam icon on your menu screen and it will work as well. After you have set up your free Logitech account and have read the Terms of Service and Privacy notice, you will see a webcam video of yourself, behind the windows, if you sit the webcam on top of your computer monitor. This should freak you out. You will notice a mysterious green light has turned on just to the left of your webcam eye. It wasn't there before when you opened your box.With the green light on, it means, "you're on honey". You are broadcasting and the whole world can see you now. The microphone is on too. It is located on the bottom side of your cam, the small hole. Just speak in a normal tone of voice. No need to be loud at all. I like to play music when I video call. Two problems I do have is that lights in the background, a lamp and tv set, look too bright and have a white-out appearance. Also, their is nothing to quickly click off the microphone at will except on the websites itself. You can put up your Logitech webcam window (click icon) to fine tune your webcam. It has "RightSound" and "RightLight", to adjust your sound and light. With this webcam, you can also take pictures. It works well with yfrog. You can also make a video and upload it on You Tube and make a video movie and edit. I am satisfied with the product. It works with medium speed service. In video calling, the video on the screen does have a slight half-second delay. The flexible clip/base on the webcam bends both ways, just for sitting on top of the monitor or sitting on something. I thought it would be nice if they would invent a rotating clip, more like a clamp, so that if you wanted to clip it on a lampshade or something else sitting on your desk. Another feature is Motion Detection. You can set up your webcam to record video when it detects movement. If you are looking for the cheapest webcam that will serve your needs just for chatting by video calling or to take a quick picture (3,2,1), I recommend the Logitech Webcam C210.

The set up is really easy, you can just plug it in and go. That was a great unexpected feature, since my disc drive doesn't work on my laptop anymore. The mic is good, the picture is good...the only thing I could complain about is that sometimes it takes a little more work than you might want to do to adjust it and sometimes there seems to be a delay when speaking to others on Skype. But that might be my own computer or connection problem. Other than that, I'd recommend it any day. 4 stars only because nothing is perfect. :-)

It is a very fine inexpensive webcam. It is plug and play with Windows XP SP3, Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8 Preview. It is plug and play with every Mac OS from 10.5 up and plug and play with Linux Ubuntu/Mint variants (probably others, I just didn't test them). When I say plug and play, I mean no driver downloads, no software installs, nothing. Audio and video. I work in IT; this camera is about as universally compatible as they come. Video quality is fine with a decent frame rate, resolution, contrast and sharpness. Audio is crisp and intelligible. Low light quality more than adequate and better that the built-in cam on my MacBook. No, it is not broadcast quality, nor is it HD, but it is more than adequate for Skype, Google Voice/Video Chat, or recording SD vids for YouTube. The stand is a stand and not a clip, so it will not attach securely to a laptop, but it works adequately with all the desktops and laptops I've tested it with (6 setups). For the price, this product is a good choice.

After trying several different webcams, I chose this one by reading the reviews from several sites. It turned out to be the best one so far for Skype. I have owned a cheaper version of Logitech webcams that turned out to not be what they advertised, but this one is better than I anticipated, the picture is crystal clear. I can't say anything about the built in mic because I use a headset with a mic. I recommend this one to anyone on a budget.
