You know how you tend to pull headphones apart ever so slightly to guide them over your ears? The Logitech H360 takes that as an invitation to snap the cheap, cheap plastic casing. I give this the second star because this a great product aside from that issue, and it's technically only a cosmetic one (if you don't mind your hair getting caught in the crack occasionally). But this happened to me once, I got an exchange, and then it happened again. Both within the first three weeks. That's just embarrassing. I hope for my next pair I can find something functionally just like this headset, affordable, but isn't fatally branded with the Logitech logo. (Recommendations welcome!)EDIT: Review changed to one star, as this ceased to be a cosmetic issue once--as even as I continued to treat the product oh-so-gingerly--the plastic cracked again, totally in half this time. These things are officially unusable. Logitech, I am disappointed.

Don't waste your money on USB trash like this. Stick to 3.5 jacks so that you can physically plug/unplug your headphones.USB headphones are garbage that require rebooting on your computer, simply because you have to disable this worthless, yuppie trash to get your speakers back in action and then Windows 7 requires you to boot.USB headphones are worthless garbage. Avoid them like the plague and stick with 3.5mm jacks

I went out and spent more than I planned because I expected quality from Logitech. At first I was happy, the headphones and mic worked perfectly for my skype calls. Then I noticed that the joint in the back felt weak, which confused me because I'm always super careful with my tech toys and the head set was barely a week old (seriously I had used the thing like twice). About an hour after that it broke the rest of the way. Besides the fact that I'm really careful with my stuff, there are way too many reviews (both on this one and the very similar H760) of it breaking in the exact same spot to persuade me that this incident is the result of anything but poor design and construction.

The headset works well. Plug it in and it works. It worked well with Rosetta Stone, which is why I got it. It is comfortable. Logitech says this is a noise canceling mic and it may actually cancel some noise, BUT, it makes lots of noise by itself. I have done a small amount of recording with it and there is quite a bit of hisssss. This is not something you can use for a quality recording, although the vocal probably will be intelligible.

I work at a web hosting company in the call center. Over the past few weeks, I have gone through four pairs of Microsoft headsets because they are so temperamental. I also really wanted a headset that would allow me to take calls, and yet still hear what is going on around me. Finally, I wanted a headset that went behind the head as opposed to on top, as I hated having the indentation in my hair for the rest of the day after leaving work.This product satisfied all of my needs and more. I love the volume and mute controls, which work very well, and the sound is crystal clear...much better than the Microsoft headset.I was a bit worried that it would have compatibility issues with X-Lite, the VoIP software we use to make and answer calls, but it worked like a charm.If I had to choose a con, it would be that it does get a little uncomfortable on the backs of the ears after many hours of use, but I believe that would be the case with any headset. Other than that, it is extremely comfortable and it's easy to forget that you're wearing it.

I bought this for gaming purposes to chat with my sister. The first day I used it no problems. After that my husband said it didn't work when he tried to use if for a work conference. When I tried it I couldn't get it to work either. I did some searching and one sight said to update windows. I did that and it worked again. For one day. Today I tried it again and my computer does not recognize it again. I tried to update again without results. I am very upset to spend the money on a product that doesn't work.

WARNING: Do your research if you plan to use this item with Mac OS X and Skype - there seems to be an inherent problem with this combination.If you Google this you will find several forums mentioning "choppy" sound with Skype, although the headset seemingly works fine with all other software. This therefore suggests the problem is with Apple/Skype drivers not the headset per se, but it is very disappointing if that was your primary purpose in buying it (as mine was!).Hope this is helpful, would appreciate comments if the situation is improved.

The headphones worked great on the PC. And it has very good sound and the mic is great. I don't wear it everyday but put it on frequently for short periods of time. I bought these in November 2011. I went to put them on the first week of March 2012 and the back piece broke exposing the wire. So need to buy a new one. Very disappointing.

Well I had hoped that the other reviewers were wrong but they weren't. I tried being super careful with them, never traveling with them, leaving them in safe place every night but the sad truth is that didn't help. I used these headphones every day for the last month, never dropped them or even pulled the cord but today while putting them on, the back plastic broke! I really like the headset so I'll probably try to glue it but that just sucks. I've had them for a little over a month.UPDATE: My second pair just broke -- I treated them so well and they lasted longer but the headband is really the weakness

Pros: In terms of sound quality I really liked this headset.Cons: However, as many other customer experienced, Sliding headband of this headset is poorly engineered/manufactured. It is very fragile, and no surprise, cracks just after couple weeks of usage, and completely broken apart after six months.

DH bought this for me (here) a month ago. He really likes his!Sound quality is very good, mic and ear both. Works very well in Skype.Headset itself is very uncomfortable. Weird shape; almost zero padding. Pain at top of ears & side of head.Back of headset sticks out over an inch behind the back of my neck. Cannot rest my head against the headrest any more! Pain in the neck.If I do let my head rest against the chair's headrest (which is what it's for!), then the back of the band pushes the earphones an inch forward of my ears. Then it hurts worse than ever and pinches even tighter.I have pieces of old socks wrapped around the band near the ears to try & reduce some of the pinching pain. Doesn't really work - there isn't enough room between band & earphones to make installing padding practical.If Logitech would make these in several sizes (how about Small, Medium or Large?) it might be better for more people. This unit might make people with giant heads happy, but my normal head is having an awful time with this unit. Neck and shoulders are not enjoying this either.

Comfortable. Sounds ok. Perfect for Skype and stuff like that. BUT.. there is currently a bug. Choppy audio with Mac OS X Lion. It doesn't occur with Snow Leopard.Example: [...]There are **DOZENS** of URLs from various forums referencing the exact same issue. Works fine under Windows, but not on Mac OS X Lion (10.7)Otherwise, it's just fine. Don't go returning it because of that issue. It's not entirely unusable, just not really ideal. I'll be keeping it because it works fine with iChat, of all things.

I had absolutely no problems with this product until I tugged on the USB lead accidentally. It was a minor incident, as in a very small but sudden tug on the cable. After this, the product no longer worked. After contacting the retailer, I was advised that it was past the product guarantee of 7 days from purchase. Now looking for a more durable headset.

I usually don't leave reviews for simple headsets meant to be used primarily for online chatting. However, this Logitech headphone prompted me to leave this review to warn people of what they may get themselves into.The comfort is sub-par, but that is expected of a supra-aural headset. These will put pressure onto your ears, against the side of your head. It will start to hurt after a short period of time.Many people stated that the headphones will not last long and fail. I can also relate, as my pair of the Logitech H330 have failed within a month. It is recognized by the computer, but the speakers and microphone simply fail to work.As a USB headset, it is very simple and convenient to use. The quality however, leaves much to be desired.

I purchased this headset to use with Rosetta Stone on a Mac.It works just fine in Garage Band but I could not get it towork with Rosetta Stone. Then I went to the Rosetta Stonesupport website and found that that have a note there sayingthat Rosetta does not work with USB headsets from Logitechbut work fine with Cyber Acoustics. I subsequently purchaseda Cyber Acoustics headset and it works just fine.Surprisingly this has been known for a long time (2006 on Logitech Website)but Logitech has not released an updated driver and Rosetta has not fixedthis in their software.

The USB plug works in some of my older computers, but not in a newer Lenovo thinkPad.it goes in 2/3 the way and then blocks, leaving a loose connection that comes and goes as the cable is moving around.Customer support insists that it is a standard USB plug and say it is not a known problem, but I read reviews and I know I am not the only one.All other USB devices uncluding another Logitech (now dead) headset used to work on my laptop.I will return this product for refund.

I bought this headset mainly because I work from home twice a week and I wasn't happy with my previous headset. I was previously using the Logitech Clear Chat Wireless Headset. That headset just had numerous problems with it so I decided it was time that I just played it safe and went with a wired headset.Despite my previous experience with Logitech, I purchased the H360 anyways. After doing some research I found out that it actually takes advantage of Skype's new codec. At the time I purchased it, there were only 3 headsets that did this, so that was a major selling point. I have made many calls with this and people always tell me that I sound really clear. Someone even said I sounded too clear. haha.Since I use this for work, it is also important that I have a headset with great noise canceling. The H360 does not disappoint. I have tested this out and I can have my tv awfully loud in the background without the caller even noticing.Another feature that another user mentioned was the fact that it works with your PS3. It doesn't mention anything about this on Logitech's website or on the packaging, but it works great. My PS3 even recognizes it as a "Logitech H360".Now for my cons. I think this may be a personal thing, but sometimes it tends to hurt my ears if I don't have it on just right. This is definitely something that probably varies from person to person though. Another minor issue is the shape. Although I love the behind the head fit, it makes it awkward to set down on a desk. This is only an issue for me because I am constantly setting it down and picking it up.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. My only regret is that I wish I had waited a week or two. Logitech released two more headsets that take advantage of the new Skype codec and their design looks like it may be a little more comfortable.

Works out-of-the-package on the Mac. No software to install. You do have to select the headset in your audio system preferences, and you might have to do that again in your application. Recording into Audacity required setting both the audio device preferences and the global sample preferences (from 32-bit float to 16-bit pcm), despite already having selected the headset in the system preferences. If you're just doing skype, don't let those things scare you. It has no such settings to worry about. The headset worked in Logic after setting only the audio device.The headset is comfortable enough, though having never used a behind-the-head headset it was not obvious how I was supposed to wear it. Also, the mic at first pressed against my face and it was only with a bit of irritation that I figured out you can just bend it out of the way. After you get it on try adjusting the size of the band behind your head. It's most comfortable for me almost all the way in. It might not work well on a child-size head, unless maybe I have a child-size head :)It's not terribly easy to get it on and off with a pony tail, as it has to go under the hair, but I'll probably get used to that and adjust. I can't really wear glasses with this headset because of the clips that go around the ear.The playback quality isn't great for music. The recording quality is good. The instructions say sound quality may be degraded if you plug into a USB hub and recommend plugging directly into a USB port on your computer, so if you were planning to use a hub, figure out before you buy this headset what you'll do if you aren't able to use a hub.

I've tried multiple headsets and like this one mostly because it is the most comfortable headset out of all the ones that I've tried, has decent sound quality for phone calls, and is just a clean, well-executed product. Had some kinks with them here and there (we probably bought altogether around 30 over the course of the last couple of years) but, overall, I am pretty happy.

I had this headset for less than four weeks before it stopped working altogether. It worked perfectly up until the day that no device would recognize it, and showed no signs of trouble before that. Knowing that it was a pretty cheap headset, I was very gentle with it, and deliberately avoided twisting or folding the cord, or doing anything else that would cause wear and tear. It died spontaneously anyway.Before it died, it was easy to use, the sound was pretty good, and I thought it was good value for the money. You're probably better off paying a little more for something that won't break in less than a month.

These things worked for about a year but all of a sudden the usb part with the chip inside got extremely hot and melted the plastic casing. I'm sure if they were left plugged in any longer they would have caught fire good thing they kept connecting/disconnecting and my computer was annoying me with the usb noise so I realized there about to some serious damage.Thank god the headset didn't short out my motherboard I would not recommend this headset.

Inexpensive headphones and microphone works well. I bought it to use with Dragon Naturally Speaking, and was satisfied overall. But the plastic band breaks easily at a point where two plastic pieces are joined with three screws. I take very good care of my equipment--my keyboard is over 12 years old, and I recently replaced a mouse that was older than that. But this design is just fragile.

The design of the headset itself is a bit awkward to position being that it is a behind your head type of headset; which I'm not as used to. As far as functionality it serves its purpose fairly well for its price point. Records well, playback is decent. I actually do appreciate the volume control being a push button because the volume sliders tend to be very sensitive in my experiences. Going to test it out on Ps3. Hopefully there are no set up issues like others have mentioned.

I've had this headset for 2 1/2 months.From the beginning, it didn't "sit" comfortably over my ears, requiring frequent adjustment.Tonight, while putting them on, the right earpiece snapped. At least one other review has noted the same problem.I don't think the adjustments had anything to do with the break. Whenever I shifted the headset, I grabbed the bar behind the ear to adjust the position. The break occurred where the earphone itself fastened to the connecting bar.On the plus side, the sound quality was great.Overall, though, 2 1/2 months from a $40 headset isn't worth the price.

Ok i bought this wired usb headset based on price and b/c one or two reviewers mentioned it worked with PS3s. neither of them mentioned how, so here's how you configure it. Oh one comment: the Logitech website an forums are the WORST EVER. What a garbage company website. Anyways, back to the instructions:1) In the main menu (NOT your video game, whatever you might be playing), select "Settings" then "Accessory Settings"2) Select "Audio device settings"3) Plug in your headset and then choose "Logitech H360 Headset" for both the input and output devices. You can adjust the mic settings too.Optional: you can mask your voice by choosing this optionComfort is marginal at best. But for the price, I can deal with it.

Compared to similar items, this is a good choice. Voices transmit well. The only problem that I see with this headset is being hard to put in your bag as it cannot be fold and it may be broken. Rather than that it is really good.

One week after buying this headset it began to fail in very inconsistent ways. As other reviewers have said. it sometimes will be recognized by the system, and not other times. I have verified this on Both XP, Win7 and Mac OS 10.6.

the H330 headset is simple of use and affordable ,pros: plug and play makes it easy to install and simple to use.microphone does a great job strong enough for others to hear you even if it is nowhere near your mouth.lightweight makes it feel as if its not even worn and speakers are strong.cons: the shape of the headphones means that you have to adjust where you wear them and no volume control.only major problem is that im an avid gamer and during gameplay it would cut-off in a loud static and freezeup the game, but in shockvoice it works great.

I used to be a huge fan of logitech products (headsets and wireless components). I own this particular headset but it does not work well with Windows Vista or Windows 7. Basically no sound. Browse the internet for "H330 no sound" and read the responses from Logitech's customer service. They are awaful, basically they are saying you are doing it wrong, blame Microsoft, or no response at all. Horrible product support from this company. And when calling their support in India it's a 15 min hold and 30 min run around to keep you busy but not solve the problem. DO NOT buy Logitech if you have aspirations of running Vista or Windows 7, maybe I'll find a product with decent stateside product support

As near as I can tell -- from my own experience trying and failing to install this thing, and from the records of people being told off by Logitech for complaining about it online -- this device is not compatible with Windows Vista and 7. That is a bit of a problem given that the box says that it is. ("Works with Windows and Mac OS" is the exact phrasing.) Even those who did manage to get the stupid thing installed experienced the headphones or the allegedly noise-canceling microphone producing feedback or cutting out inconveniently; apparently this thing can even crash Skype.If there were any recourse available to a common plebian robbed by mighty Logitech, I would take it; as it is, I'm just going to have to by another set of headphones -- from a different company.

This is not a good headset if you have a highback office chair. This is because the headphones will stick out behind your head. Then you can not recline as normal and have to hold your head slightly forward. The earpieces are also quite bulky, certainly not designed for people with normal to small heads.

I bought these with the intent of using them during my deployment so that I can talk with my family. It is been only about 4 months and the support that holds the ear pieces together has broken. I have found that there is really no good way to put them on and take them off without stressing the plastic. It was constructed with two tiny screws and this is exactly where it broke. The design was good but the construction is lacking.

These replaced a more expensive Logitech headset that were accidentally broken. The earphones are a bit on the flimsy side but they do the job. The sound volume is on the quiet side for music but work great for Voip calls. The microphone is very good. Overall this is a great product for the price.

Warning to those who do not know:If you do not have a sound card that supports USB sound connectivity, do NOT purchase any microphones or headsets that run on USB! These will not work unless you plan on purchasing and installing an all-new sound card in your computer that will support playing & recording audio via USB port.For those with older computers, it is a simple task to look at your sound card port (where you plug in your speakers/microphone - usually in the back of your PC)... If you see the green, red, and black standard audio ports, but NO USB on the same metal plate, then you should not get a USB driven audio device unless you are ready to upgrade your sound card in order to fully support these devices.There may be updates to the software or drivers on your sound card manufacturer's website, so check there as well before you decide not to get a USB sound device. However, 99% of the time, these USB speakers, microphones, headsets, etc. will not work without the proper physical USB plug on the sound card itself.Just a little FYI for those about to buy without checking.--Xo

These headphones work just fine. Very lightweight and comfortable. Microphone sounds good on recorded speech and the sound quality is what I expected. For an inexpensive headset this is a great bargain.

This is a great headset for the money. I purchased at my local Super Targer for $29.99. I use this headset to record Skype conversations on Pamela Recorder for my podcasts. I really like the ear pieces as they are different from traditional over-the-ear headphones. Traditional headphones pinch my ears which can be painful when I wear my glasses. These do not pinch my ears and are much more comfortable. Something else I learned as a podcaster is to make sure the recording level is set to 45% in Windows 7 (under Sounds in the Control Panel). I didn't have this adjusted for the first several podcasts I recorded and the audio quality was very poor (it had defaulted to 89%). Once I lowered the recording input to 45% (determined after some trial and error) I was golden and my audio quality is very good. I may continue to use this headset when I record solo podcasts as my MXL 990 is very large and gets in the way of me and my laptop. In my opinion, the H330's audio quality is almost as good as the MXL 990, and is far less intrusive when I'm recording.

I bought this to replace a failing headset for use with Ventrilo to communicate with teammates while gaming.The biggest positive is that it has no inline controls. That may sound like a negative, but my last two headsets had those controls and that was always the point of failure when the sound started going out. Had to jiggle the cord around to get sound back.I plugged it in one of the front USB ports on my computer and Windows 7 recognized it right away and installed the drivers. Then I just followed the short instructions to configure it in the Windows Sound control panel and that was it.Windows 7 automatically mutes my external speakers and routes the sound through the headset as soon as it is plugged in, and returns the sound to the speakers when the headset is unplugged.The sound quality on this headset is better than I expected from such a lightweight unit. And the voice is crystal clear according to my teammates, who had accused me of living in a tin can when I spoke using my previous headset.About the only downside I can list for this is that the headset is not reversible. The boom mic must always be on the right hand side, as it only has a 45 degree range of movement. It can only move in one direction when in the full upright position. So you are out of luck if you want to use the mic on the left.
