I picked up a pair of these to back up my main headset. I use headsets in a variety of ways - music, video consumption, flight simulation, recording voice-overs for corporate material - but, most importantly, for mission-critical conferencing and phone calls (Lync, Skype, Google Voice). The USD $20 price seemed like a no-lose option as a low-cost backup.Upon unpacking, I noticed the headset has no physical controls to switch, mute or adjust volume. These are common on USB headsets, and I have become spoiled by being able to quickly mute/unmute in mid-call without using software controls. You get what you pay for, and the packaging is not clear about the omission.Setup on Windows 7 and 8 was a breeze: plug into USB and headset was automatically set to Default Recording and Playback device and mixed to max levels. There was no need to manually load drivers, additional software... yet.After a day of hard use while travelling, I found that the headset is tough to pack into anything less than a large computer bag. The earpieces do not fold or collapse, although the mic swivels up to the headband. I am assuming it's just a matter of time when the earpieces will not make it through security intact.The playback quality from a variety of sources is above average but not excellent. During calls, I also found that the playback isolation lacking. If you find yourself in a loud cafe or airport, it can be difficult to hear the remote caller or playback source at max mix volume. Enabling Loudness Equalization (Device Enhancements) nearly solves this problem. However, callers have never complained about background noise, even when asked. Test calls to echo services confirm that the noise cancellation seems to be doing a good job.Another concern is the length of the headset's USB plug itself. At roughly 2" long, it was easy to accidentally leverage the computer's USB port excessively. If not careful, this can ruin your computer's ports easily.Overall, this headset is an excellent value if you're willing to forego some of the functional and travel-related annoyances. For me, this is a decent backup for mission-critical use. For non-critical, non-travel use, I would strongly recommend ordering a truckload!Update: After many weeks of use and travelling, the headset is still intact, not broken, and works as designed.

My employer purchased this headset for everyone in our company so that we can use Skype instead of the phone to be in touch with our new European office. Having evaluated for a week, I am afraid that I cannot recommend it.While the headset is perfectly adequate for VOIP applications, it suffers from a number of significant flaws when compared to other headsets at this price point.First, the microphone boom pivots only 90° instead of the full 180° like most comparable headsets. This means that you can only wear the headset with the microphone boom in front of the right side of your face. This might seem like a trivial defect, but it is a significant annoyance because the connecting wire runs from the point where the microphone boom meets the right earphone. The problem with this is that the wire always runs down the right side of your body. If your workstation is configured with your computer on the left side (as mine is) this means that the wire always causes your body on its way to the computer. This is highly annoying.Second, the microphone boom itself is made out of rigid plastic rather than a flexible material like most competing products. Depending on the shape of your face, this makes it difficult to position the microphone optimally.Third, the quality of the audio captured by the microphone is decidedly subpar when compared to competing headsets at the same price range. I use Dragon Dictate to do most of my text entry on my Mac and recognition accuracy was significantly worse than other comparable microphones.Fourth, the sound quality of the stereo headphones is really quite poor. They are most comparable to the cheap earphones handed out by airlines in international economy class. The sound they produce is thin, reedy, and altogether unsatisfying. This is quite all right for VOIP, but forget about listening to music with them. This is terribly disappointing for a product made by Logitech, as I am a big fan of their classic Z-2300 2.1 speakers.Bottom line: if you are in the market for a headset for VOIP applications and someone (like your employer) gives you a pair of these for free, take them, they will do the job. If, however, you are planning to spend your own money on a headset, stay away from this product. For exactly the same price as the Logitech, you can pick up the analog version of the Andrea Electronics PC Headset (NC-185VM), which has a sufficiently high quality microphone for speech recognition as well as a competent pair of earphones.

In researching before buying these, I failed to notice anyone mention how they worked with Dragon and thought I'd post a review...After reading so many reviews about how easy this product was to break, I took one reviewer's advice and reinforced it with black electrical tape. It fits comfortably (I do have a small head), even with glasses on. I do medical transcription, so I wear them for around 8 hours a day. They are ideal for comfort, quality sound, and not messing your hair up (as long as you are tucking your hair behind your ears). I was worried the sound might not be ideal for transcribing, but there is surprisingly clear mid-range with this headset, which is ideal for transcribing.Now for the exciting part... This works GREAT with Dragon Naturally speaking! I previously purchased the Plantronics DSP 400 headset (since Nuance gave it rave reviews for working well with Dragon on their site) and was frustrated with it. The headphones wouldn't stay in place no matter what I did, frequently causing the mic to move in and out of range all the time (causing mistakes in accuracy). I gave up trying to use them (will be selling them on ebay soon) and decided to try this Logitech headset out. Overall, these headphones not only stay in place, but the accuracy of dictating to Dragon is 80% better than the Plantronics in my opinion! I am well pleased with these headphones and recommend them for Dragon users!

Bought these for work. They are comfortable, don't pinch my ears, and sound is terrific! Mic is good, not fantastic, but way high quality for the money spent. For what I use them for (Voip phone) they are perfect! If you're looking for work headphones that have great sound quality for a reasonable price, these are the ones. In some of the other reviews people said that they were flimsy, but I don't think that. They have to be bendable and adjustable for your neck, so that they don't put much pressure there. I have mine adjusted to just under the back of my head and I literally don't know they are there. Care is always required when adjusting headphones, so don't be real hard on them and they will last........

I used to use my laptop's built-in mic for my Skype calls. My friends have reported that I sounded strange with it, so I switched to this headset. I chose this headset as it looked cool, was known for a quality mic, and it's Logitech. Here are just a few things I gotta say about the headset after extended use for the past month or so.* After my first session, my friends say I am now quite clearer.* The microphone is very sensitive so it may detect noises in the background. A simple adjustment to sensitivity will fix that.* The audio quality is alright. These aren't really headphones you buy for topnotch quality. Just "enough". Not much bass.* using them after three or four hours will cause damage to your ears as the headset is very uncomfortable* the mic needs to be raised higher than your nose to prevent others from hearing breathing (even when sensitivity is lowest)* the switch on the cable used to turn off the mic doesn't work (at least on mine it doesn't)* the cables from the speakers on the headset which blend into the main cable bend upwards and is extremely annoying

Bought these to replace my broken Logitech ClearChat headset because I wanted ones that go behind the head at a similar price. The ClearChats were comfortable but I wear my headset to listen to music and make voip calls all day while I work and after a few hours the headset leaves a numb spot right on the top of my head.These headphones arrived broken, the left speaker didn't work. That doesn't bother me, these things happen, but I was glad to return them anyways because they feel incredibly cheap. The ear padding is just a thin piece of foam stretched over the plastic and there's no way it would have been comfortable for long use. The whole build quality is really low and they have a lot of plastic creaking as you put them on. They don't even bother to paint the logitech logos which I know doesn't affect sound quality but it shows how these headsets are built as cheaply as possible.

Logitech claim it is compatible with Windows and Mac OS. It does work perfectly on Windows Vista / 7 but it doesn't work on OSX Lion or OSX Mountain Lion (latest versions.) Just like its predecessor the H330. There is a constant hiss coming through the speakers when I connect it to my 15" Macbook Pro, late 2011. The speakers and the microphone function but the hiss is terribly distracting. I contacted Logitech support but they claim it is a OSX issue. I also own the G330 Gaming Headset, which works perfectly with my mac, but it has an annoyingly heavy volume control in the middle of the cord.I really wish they would make this headset work with macs because it is affordable, comfortable, and works well on Windows. However, if you have a mac look elsewhere.Mark

I just purchased and picked up this H360 Logitech USB headset for personal use. I usually skype and don't want people to hear me nor have to talk in the little mic hole on the laptop. I was hesitant with the many negative posts about this unit but since I got a great price I decided to try it. The headset fits on my head perfectly and I didn't have to enlarge it. The earpiece was comfortable and didn't felt like it was squeezing my ears. I tested the mic and the person on the other end (skype) said it was clear and loud. I tried the mic the other way and I could hear it being very clear and crisp. The headphone sound was also good and I didn't hear any echos or revert when I'm talking or hearing. Overall, I give it a 4.5 but this is because it was brand new. I'll keep using it and maybe we'll see in a month if the pieces fall apart like some say they did. thanks

I've got a razer carcharias, an expensive logitech, and this headset. This is my headset of choice. It's light, doesn't make my ears hot, has decent sound, and the mic quality is good. You can't go wrong with this product. I also had to replace one previous to this one under warranty. Logitech was very easy to do RMA with.

Microphone was decent, sound wasn't the best. I got them mostly cause they were cheap for light gaming. I personally couldn't wear them for more than an hour (with or without glasses) without them becoming so uncomfortable I had to take them off. Returned.

I was using it for a month or so and suddenly it just stopped. The usb device is not recognized by any PC I plugged that into.Its total waste of money. When it was working the sound quality was good but I found its style very awkward and uneasy. anyway it has stopped working for good, any positive memory about it fades very quickly as it didn't serve me for long.

Got this headset about a year ago after my previous one randomly stopped working. This one has treated me well so far. Sound is acceptable, doesn't cut in and out like my old one. I only use it for gaming with my PS3. My only complaint about this headset is that it gets uncomfortable/painful for my ear sometimes, but only when using for extended periods of time. Otherwise I would have to recommend it. Even after accidentally sitting/stepping on it a few times it stil works as it did on Day 1.

[UPDATE] My review's content still stands, but Logitech immediately replaced them for free and with express shipping, no questions asked. EXCELLENT customer service on their part! So far my second pair has held up better than the first, but I still don't really trust them not to eventually break. [/UPDATE]I was looking for a high quality headset primarily for Skype use for my business. After reading reviews across a broad swath of headsets, this one seemed like a good choice. I'd owned Logitech headsets in the past and was pleased with the durability and quality, so I ordered this set. The sound quality was above average and the comfort was off the charts (swiveling ear pieces and expandability are fantastic!Unfortunately, however, this headset snapped in half after only a week. That was when I discovered the part of the headset that goes over the crown of your head (for the life of me, I can't think of what that's called right now) is made entirely out of plastic with no metal support whatsoever. Who would design a headset like that? It's not as though I'm lashing together bundles of wood with it. It was inside a thick, reinforced accessory bag inside my messenger bag that had plenty of room to breathe and move without anything heavy against it. I was careful, and I'm *not* one of those reviewers that blames a product for their stupid use of it. Simply walking with the bag from one place to another snapped the headphones in half beyond the point of repair. There was nothing I could do with them but throw them away. I honestly believe these headphones would snap in half if they fell off a desk, which I believe is within the parameters of reasonable usage.I would not recommend buying these headphones. They're incredibly fragile and poorly made, and I'm extremely frustrated I wasted this much money on them for only having had them for one week.

I bought this headset to replace an older Logitech headset, which I use with Dragon Dictate on my Mac OS X. After trying numerous headsets, including the ones that Nuance recommends, I have found Logitech - H360, in particular - to be far superior to anything else. The headset is very comfortable and easy to put on and, most importantly, works exceedingly well for voice recognition.

I bought this while waiting for a replacement wireless headset from Logitech to be mailed, and needed something for online chat, gaming, and work. I was specifically looking for a USB device instead of an audio jack at a fairly low price since it would only be a backup headset.The rotating adjustable boom isn't rickety or loose and is perfectly placed for receiving voice audio. There aren't any additional features such as a control on the wire itself.The ear pieces are made of foam and sit comfortably without smooshing my head (and my glasses) making my head ache, which is great. They are really lightweight.If you're looking for a solid USB headset with good audio and without any frills, this is a great choice.

What's the benchmark for measuring good earphones?This is it: I left them in my shorts, and ran them through the washing machine. And I'm listening to (very clean) music on them right now!Seriously, if they can withstand total immersion, soap, the rinse cycle, and keep on working, I'll buy more any time! BTW, the volume control I bought as an add on went through, too. And it's working, so I give it a thumbs up as well.As for sound quality, most of the listening I do is on the treadmill or in an airplane, and I'll never know $300 earphones from $3 ones in those environments. So who cares?

I want to echo earlier reviews. I The connection point where the headband meets the earphones is very fragile. I have owned several copies of this headset because I created a Dragon Dictate profile with this headset. The headsets work fine, except that the connection between the headband and the earphones break at the slightest provocation.I have several other Logitech and Plantronics headsets of similar design (behind the neck), and none of them have broken even though they get much heavier use.

I like the H360 headset. I use it for working at home and talking with clients through the computer. Sound is good from both ends. The mute and volume features work well. My only complaint is that the connection is USB. I'd prefer direct connect to audio.

This headset is ok, sound quality is acceptable and I was overall happy with it. Then it broke within the first 60 days, the back just snapped in half. It happens I'm not too worried I'll just contact Logitech and get a replacement. At the support website I discover my support account for my many, many Logitech products has been disabled. The phone support number is a toll call to New York and I live in California. Now I'm unhappy. I then wait on hold for about half an hour just to be disconnected. Ok, that happens sometimes too. Call again, disconnected again. I've just paid a toll call for no support. This item is the least expensive Logitech thing I own, if my keyboard, mouse, sound system, or absurdly expensive remote were to break then what. I don't know if Logitech customer service is bad, it's simply unreachable.

I bought the Logitech H360 headset because I do a lot of work from home and on the road, and therefore need a VOIP headset that I can wear all day, and I also needed a USB interface since my laptop does not have a dedicated microphone jack. I'm happy to report that the sound quality, microphone quality, and overall comfort are top-notch (every other headset I've tried leaves my ears feeling sore after the first hour). The only downside (as others have mentioned) is that the plastic housing around the adjustable slider tends to snap if you pull it too hard. So I ended up using black gaffer tape to reinforce it (doesn't every guy have this in their garage somewhere?). For 30 bucks I'm fine with this. I spend my days either on the phone, or listening to music online to keep me focused. I literally could not live without this.

I got this headset after being poked fun at by my friends in Ventrilo. My other headset's mic just blew out so i was only able to hear them and not speak, resorting to typing back my responses...Pro: Overall this headset is not bad. What surprised me the most was the good construction and comfort when worn over many hours (barely noticeable - in fact you are more aware of the cable than the headset itself). I never got a complaint about the sound quality over Ventrilo. I have stepped on them at least 5x (i cringed each time it crunched, the way you cringe when you know you just crushed a piece of electronic) each time popping out the ear piece. I was able to snap the ear piece right back in each time but that took it's toll on the wires.Con: So, I stopped playing online games and with the need for online chatting gone I use the headphones a lot for listening to music while trolling blogs and when i hear a good song I just can't raise the volume up =(. Minor complaint really.At 30$ for me it was kind of pricey knowing that I would have to replace them (i tend to break things) but they held up pretty well against me and they worked everytime. If Logitech had put a volume booster, of some sort, on these then they would have found themselves a poster boy for these headsets in me.

The H360 has a warble when used for audio calls on Skype, and in screencasts (I'm a stats professor recording a lot of step by step solutions to problems). It could be a bad battery, it could be the wireless (Bluetooth being demon possessed and all) but in the end, I'm just tired of fiddling with these, with hoping they will work next time. Today I bought a USB wired headset to replace this wireless model. For the price difference, you can buy two wired models and not have to worry.

Got these with a gift card for my birthday. I used them for playing games online. I didn't like the behind-the-ear, but managed to wear them like a normal headset and they worked well. However, after less than 3 months, the mic just stopped working. Called cust service and was on hold for 15 min. They answered and the call was dropped. Called back and after 15 minutes they helped me out, and it all seemed easy. They told me to send them info, and then call back. Called back - after 30 min on hold, they booted me out. Called back - after 45 minutes on hold, someone answered, but my call was dropped. Calling back - still on hold after 30 minutes - and this is not an 800 number! Some sort of call center probably in India, becuase they are hard to understand, and the calls keep dropping! Do yourself a favor, purchase a differrent brand.

I bought this product for gaming in a budget pinch since my higher-end headset finally went on me after years of service. I was expecting a rather underwhelming experience with this product which would probably last only a month or so. However, this headset has lasted me for a year and a half so far with no problems. The microphone comes out very clear (Or so my mumble/ventrilo friends say) and the sound quality is decent, especially for the money I paid for it. Overall, I would highly recommend this headset to anyone on a budget but still wants a durable and reliable headset.

I had these for about 4 months when the bridge holding the speakers broke. I glued it back together because I passed the date to returned them.Broke again on the other side.Gave up and bought another brand.

I recently used this for the first time when communicating with a computer programmer in the UK via Skype. I was in the Dallas area and I was communicating with a programmer via e-mail about a project I needed done. We ended up screen sharing and talking via Skype and I used this headset during the duration of the call. The programmer said he could hear me very clearly. The sound quality was great on my end as well. We were on the call for over an hour, and while these were not 'painful,' my ears got very fatigued by the end of this call as the flat headphones are snug enough to stay on your head - so they push on your ear cartilage ever-so-slightly. Ideally, I would have had the cup-style, foam padded headphones, but for the price these are very reasonable and decent quality for short communications and short-term use.

I purchased the item and received it promptly as usual when dealing with Amazon. The reason for the purchase was to record audio books for a non-profit. The reason for the price range? I'm a full time college student-'nuff sed. The package arrived in perfect condition and after the customary struggle with the security packaging from Logitech and a review of the product literature I was ready to begin.Unfortunately my eagerness to begin the recording process was soon dampened by a steady hum in the headset as I recorded the first 3:30 minutes of audio. I played back the recording hoping that the hum was just an anomaly present while recording, sadly, it was still there. Next, I tried to listen to the recording using a simple set of earbuds. No Joy! The hum was still present.I hate to return anything to anyone if it can be reasonably avoided so, I attempted to isolate and filter the hum utilizing my limited equipment and expertise. I finally identified the frequency range as being in the neighborhood of 200-250 hz. Unfortunately there was still a remnant of the irritating little noise that I was unable to remove. The sound quality was improved but, not enough to be acceptable to anyone listening to the recording-especially when the recordings are intended to be hours long narrations.Near as I can tell, the audio quality for a headset in this price range was surprisingly good, better than expected. The same goes for the mic', the "sound canceling" was adequate for my purposes and the recording (minus the hum) was true. Who can tell though?!? I mean with that background noise constantly hovering around I really can't give a solid enough evaluation of the item to recommend or condemn the product to anybody.On the bright side, Amazon returns seem to be a breeze. After a few moments I had a return authorization and a pickup day with the promise of a pre-paid shipping label from UPS.So far the return process has been painless. I started shopping Amazon around Christ-Mass time and have been pleased with all of my experiences thus far. I am giving them the benefit of a doubt for now.

I use this as my primary headset at my workplace. We do online tutoring and I do it for 5+ hours daily. Thus far, I've been very pleased with the performance and comfort of this headset.Design:* Flexible headband* Metal frame and adjustable. That is a MUST for behind the ear headsets.* Microphone rotates and flips up easily when not in use.* Comfortable earcup foam.Comfort:* I was surprised at how easily I could wear this headset, even with my glasses. The point in which the headband meets the earcups has just enough space so my glasses frame can fit.* It's very light so I barely feel any weight on my head for 5+ hours.Performance:* The microphone is very good. My students hear me clearly.* The speakers could be a little better. It's decent and performs as expected. Nothing too impressive.Overall, this is how a behind the ear headset should be designed - flexible, metal frame, and adjustable. It's very lightweight and is comfortable for even 5+ hours of constant use. It has served me well in the workplace. Definitely an option to consider.

I had some difficulty figuring out how to get the headset to work with Windows.Once I downloaded all Windows 7 updates it worked fine.

I bought this headset because my Audigy 2 ZS soundcard caused my mic to be static-y/choppy in Ventrilo on the 64-bit version of Windows 7. I saw that using a USB headset was a workaround for the problem, so I went and ordered this one, since it had the same over-the-ear phones, behind-the-head band as my current headset did. Installation was easy, plug and play with Windows 7. Just make sure to change your default sound input/output to the USB device.When I got this headset I immediately noticed the great sound quality coming from the earphones. Everything was sharper and more precise than with my previous headset. Voice qaulity is also much better than my previous analog headphones. Overall I was impressed with the performance of this headset. The adjustable headband in back is a nice touch.The problem with this product, however, is the weight and ergonomics. I don't have an oddly-shaped head or anything, but after about a half hour of wearing the headset, the plastic bands that go over the ears start to press down on the tops of my ears. This can get uncomfortable real fast. It invariably gets worse the longer I keep them on. So, just be aware that they can hurt your ears. Overall good product though.***edit****After a few months of light use, they snapped, just like many other customers' headsets. Avoid this product at all costs!
