These headphones arrived nearly fully charged and sounded great. The surround sound worked great with both WoW and Fallout NV. The surround sound also worked great with VLC, you just have to go to the audio options on VLC and tell it to use 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. The range is also great.

The Dolby Digital does not work with Windows 7 64-bit and Logitech flat out told me their engineers are "working on an issue". I had to return the headphones, which is a shame because I actually liked the style.

I was not able to use my G930 -- very disapointed. Check google for issue regarding this product before you buy--wish I had done that first. Google list many same problems:I purchased the G930 yesterday and have been trying to install it on my Windows 7 64bit system. ive tried win7 and vista 64 bit installers and nothing worked. All the software will tell me is "please unplug and re-plug your logitech g930 headset".I am having the same problem. I have tryed everything. From what i can tell the drivers are not installing on my computer. I am useing Win7 64 bit, everytime i plug them in windows tryes to install the drivers and fails. I have installed the software from both the cd and from the updated software on the site, anyone have any more ideas???I had the same problems as listed above. Got error code 43 -- not proper driver -- reinstalled all software and downloaded new driver from Logitech site -- nothing worked.I shipped by unit back to Amazon.

I can't say how much I love this headset. It's wonderful to not have all of the extra wires laying about that my cats can chew on....The sound quality is great, and the voice morphing is a lot of fun to mess around with. There aren't many G-Keys, but I didn't really care about that. In all honesty, it's a headset. I didn't see the point in having it bogged down with a ton of g-keys. There are now 5 people in my gaming guild with this headset, or the wired version, and everyone sounds crystal clear over Ventrilo.All of that being said, there was an issue with my wireless internet and this headset. Every time I turned it on, my wireless would stop functioning. It was fixed by changing channels and messing with the settings of the router. Although....It is now causing problems with the wireless fence that we have for one of our dogs. I've had to stop using it because it randomly beeps or shocks her even when she is still well inside her containment area. Hopefully I can find a fix to this as well.All in all, set up is easy and it's a great headset if you want to be able to move through the house while still listening to music or talking to guildies over Ventrilo.

Here is a quick rundown:Pros:Sound QualityRangeAbility to mute - both from buttons and from pushing mic out of wayHighly adjustable and comfortable fit.Cons:Can be a little heavy over timeButtons on headset can not be configured for very many applications - only for gaming purposes.I love this headset and I use it everyday for work. On the phone for Skype and on iTunes and Pandora when not on a call. It feels so good to cut the cord and it's easy with a headset that is comfortable and works reliably. I have no regrets.

I've had these headphones for about a month now. They've always connected flawlessly to any computer I plug the usb dongle into and the sound quality it great. It's a little funky using the microphone because with a closed earphone design, you can't hear yourself unless you enable microphone feedback. The problem with microphone feedback in this case is there is a significant delay (about 0.5 seconds) which gets annoying quickly. That being said, with microphone feedback turned off I got used to speaking in a normal voice volume even though I couldn't hear myself easily. I don't use the extra macro buttons too often, but having the volume roller control on the headphone is really nice. I also love the overall quality of the headphone. Lastly as I mentioned in the title, my ears get pretty hot after some hardcore gaming. I wish I could poke some holes in the ear cups to get some air flow.

Awesome headphones! I can't hear anything while I am using them. My wife hates them. 7.1 sounds awesome while playing single player games, however, when you are using any sort of VOIP, people sound funny.

i was really hoping for actual surround when i purchased the headphones, instead of simulated, however the sound is still quite convincing. just not enough for gaming as in knowing a person is either walking infront or behind you.the headphones are really durable, and if you somehow run low on battery which is very unlikely, it plugs in from the left headphone instead of the right one. not the best for long gaming sessions because the metal the headphones are made out of is so strong that it squeezes your head very tightly. like off your head there is 1 inch between each speaker. i dont know of any heads that are 1 inch wide, kinda silly. it makes my head pulse like if u tied a rope around your arm tightly.and the worst gripe is they have a feature called sidetone, which is designed to hear your own voice inside the speakers so that you dont get the "blocked ears affect" which is a great idea.... however when you use this feature you find out that the microphone is not earthed correctly and hear a slight buzzing noise in your headphones. THIS IS A MAJOR FAULT!! could be easily avoided with a simple patch to mute if not talking like most voice activated controllers like on teamspeak.overall i give it 3 out of 5. about time there was some surround sound cordless headphones, but the testing department needs the sack, if there was one.

The solution has generally been to change the USB port. Minor issue but for a luxury product like this???2) BASS BASS BASS - WTH? I mean there is almost no bass. I have tried mucking around as much as possible with the EQ but it doesn't deliver. IMHO, its good for gaming but not to listen to ur fave music. My Logitech Z5500 is the choice for that3) Feels kinda heavy and sometimes its uncomfortable after a while

I purchased the Logitech G930 for two purposes: 1) Gaming; 2) VOIP phone calls on my PC.1) As for gaming, the surround sound is amazing. I use it with Call of Duty, and I can hear where every footstep, gunshot, and explosion are coming from. I do however hear some occasional clipping (fuzz-type noise), but It is mostly curable through adjusting the sound on either the game or the headset... just need to mess around with it a little bit to find the best audio settings.2) For VOIP Calls on the PC, it works great. I'm just using my Google Voice/Talk from my browser, and the mic is very clear and crisp. Audio is great.The only other issue is the headrest on the top... The foam pad is not very wide, so the pressure of the headset resting on your head is focused in one area - I'd prefer it to be more flat/wide. But overall, this is a great headset, and (so far) worth the money.

You don't realize how luxurious having no wires is until you finally go wireless. The sound quality on these are awesome.They fit nicely. I wish they had been made of a softer cloth than the somewhat stiff leather, but if it says anything I've fallen asleep with these on multiple times.Being able to program the side buttons is absolutely awesome. No longer is it a "BRB" to get drinks, smoke etc. You can bring the conversation on Ventrilo with you and not miss anything.If you have been waiting for a good headset, go ahead and get this. You will not be disappointed. :)

I was tired of spending $15-25 for lower quality headsets and having them break only after a few weeks of use. I was a little hesitant at first to spend so much for a single headset, but I'm so glad I did. I love the surround sound and the voice change effects cause quite the laugh. This product was everything it stated and more. The best investment I could have made.

The reason this design kicks butt is... the recharge and wireless receiver adapter. Similar to a USB wireless device, it enables one to place the transceiver away from the computer on the ground to get it kick up a few feet allowing the range to drastically improve. The best part is that the cable length is built into it. With this I can hit the can in between SC2 games and not miss a beat, (or stall the next round if I need a couple extra seconds). Second best feature? The scrolling volume control on the headset - this is AWESOME. No more stupid clicking the side of your head trying to get the volume up or down, just scroll baby! It is pretty sweet.So what about the competition, there are a couple decently scored headsets out there. Well I searched and tried a number of other less expensive wireless headsets. They sucked. Seriously, they were horrible. They either had abysmal range, annoying 6in recharge cables, or painful wearing problems with ears or weight on the top of the head. This product fixes all these concerns.I paid close to $130 for this unit, this is probably the least expensive of the worth buying headsets. I haven't tried the more expensive ones, I read a number of those reviews and saw the price and figured most are expensive junk (the only thing better is cheap junk). Good luck, but I suggest getting this one.

I just got these today, and I am truly impressed. There is no wireless lag even with a wireless router sitting about 10 ft away from the transmitter. The sound quality is impeccable, solid and extremely robust build, insane comfort, there really is not much else to say.I just think the software is a little buggy/laggy, but otherwise a 5 star rating.

Length:: 1:30 MinsThe g930 is actually an awesome headset. The design is great, listening to music is crisp & clear, wireless is now a luxury I won't be able to live without, and these could very well be the best headphones I've ever had.However, there is a major problem plaguing this headset, and while it could most likely be fixed with a simple driver update, sadly logitech just doesn't seem to care...The deal breaker occurs when using the mic, there is a constant buzzing/interference sound. It doesn't matter if it is completely silent when I'm recording, the sound won't go away! Doesn't matter if I'm using the logitech drivers, or windows default drivers, laptop or desktop, doesn't matter if I'm on Win XP machine, or Vista...If you browse their support forums you will this is a rampant problem with everyone who owns the g930. And you'll also see that support is pretty much non-existent too. Such a shame, I would love them except for this one issue, and these headphones are now going back...

I have this headsets for over a month now, i can tell you they are great. I run on Win7 32 bits, and i don't have any problems whats so ever. There are a lot of great things like the sound, surround, range, battery life and so on...I want to tell you guys about the problems i've noticed there are small problems but all in all 5 out of 5 stars:- the driver needs a lot of work to start with the charging monitor - it does't tell you when the headsets are full when you are charging them...- a few noises in the joints that gives the impression of low durability, but i haven't had any problems what's so ever.- low versatility of the G keys, but i think this is a driver problemThat's about it. All in all a great headsets @ great price.Buy, play Have Fun!!!

I bought this set to use for gaming and Skype and they have exceeded my expectations. The people I talk to say the microphone works great, the sound is incredible and most importantly for me, it is comfortable to wear and doesn't feel like its squeezing your brains out like some headsets I have worn.

Ok heres the deal, this headset is unusable to me because of a feature that they added on it. The headset auto shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity coming through the headset. I am guessing they did this to prevent the battery from draining while in wireless mode, which makes sense. I dont understand though why, when the headset is plugged in, it still shuts off. You can be using your computer reading a document, and if you dont have any sounds coming out of the headset in that time they will shut off. So then when you go to do something with sound, you need to press and hold the power button on them for about 5-10 seconds. Sometimes that wont even work, and you need to unplug the cable from the headset and replug it in. I cant understand why they dont have options to adjust this in the software, but they dont.So unless you want to constantly be turning your headset back on, stay far away from this. Otherwise they work good, but not the most comfortable compared to the razer and steelseries I have had.

I bought the Creative Labs Sound Blaster World Of Warcraft Wireless Headset and used it for 3 months before they literally snapped in half. I didn't abuse them and when they broke, they broke from a perfectly normal motion of removing them from my head. Upon a Google search, I discovered HUNDREDS of other owner posts stating that their did the exact same thing. I couldn't replace them in warranty because Creative Labs requires a serial number, which is NOT printed anywhere on the headset itself but only on the box... which I had long thrown away.The Logitech G930 was my new replacement. There are many user reviews on this headset you can read. My review is simply going to consist of the following statement: For the same price...The Logitech G930 Headset is SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY to the Creative Labs WoW Wireless Headset, and is by far, the best wireless headset I've ever used.Thank You, and have a nice day.-WW_DaggerEDIT: As of 8-28-2011, I am no longer using these headphones. They signal is continuously dropping out and the software I have found has serious bugs with Windows 7 64-bit. These two things take make this a one star product for me. If your using 32 bit windows or XP, they still get at least a 4 star rating though.

i had read other reviews that said this headset had issues with cutting out, mic problems, and battery issues, but i dont know what those people are smokin but they need to quit!! this thing performs beautifully on both my laptop and desktop and the 7.1 sound they produce is nothing to scoff at i can hear perfectly when im playing crysis or battlefield if an enemy is coming up behind me.all in all its the absolute best 7.1 headset you can get for this amount of money in my opinion.

I couldn't get the software to install on my Win 7 64 system. I was told it was a corrupt file on my system and I went so far as a complete reinstall of everything and still couldn't get the software to install. It might be for the best though as many have reviewed this item with many Mic issues and so so performance.I returned the item and can't really give it a good or bad rating but wanted to relay my experience. I have given it a 3 rating for this reason. Logitech support as I have state in other reviews of Logitech products recently is:"Logitech tech support system is pretty good and they get back to you quickly but it always seems like they are grasping at straws and using the customer forum as their answer center."
