This camera is the best quality webcam I've ever used. I love the auto focus feature, it focuses great at any distance. I didn't think i'd like the base at first, but once I saw it, I realized it is actually designed very well. It can sit nearly anywhere. The base is made a little heavy to allow the camera to sit anywhere without falling over. That was a concern of mine at first until I actually held it in my hand. Even at 1080 quality it doesn't lose frame rates and with low lighting it is able to maintain it also (my much older logitech camera didn't handle low light nearly as well). I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a webcam. I have always been a fan of Logitech products. I've known that cameras with Cael Zeiss lens are better and that's one of the main reasons I wanted this one. It's worth the extra money to get this instead the next model lower. Also, the price of this on here is one of the best I could find.

I am very happy with this webcam, but my buddy's Microsoft Lifecam is nicer. The autofocus is horrible, people comment on how distracting it is that focus is constantly changing when I just move slightly. I turn it off which is nice, but it always seems to turn itself back on (probably on reboot). Logitech used to have a great reputation with me. But troubles with some of their mice, and software glitches with this webcam have made me rethink going to this company for such peripherals by default. Still, I like this camera and although I wish I had choosen the slightly cheaper Microsoft one (where you can pivot the camera), I am fine with this.

I just got off the phone to the Philippines after about three hours of trying to get the sound on this cam to work properly. We failed. I bought it with the intention of making music videos of guitar lessons and songs. Everything was fine for the first ten minutes or so and everything went downhill from there. Installing the software was easy as was recording videos but the audio sounded like I was underwater playing a sitar badly. When I tried to link a video to Facebook I discovered that the software wasn't as user-friendly as it first seemed and, indeed, was so weird I gave up. It does include a button that says "Edit Video" which brings up a screen with five links and two icons, one for Logitech's version of video chat and Yahoo's video chat, neither of which interest me. The edit video button provides a download option for Logitech's free editing software which, I discovered during this experience, doesn't actually come with the c920--apparently the option is just for decoration. I ordered this product on May 9th and was confident that it would work so I didn't make any extra effort to try it till this afternoon, well past the 30 day return deadline. I can only assume this one has some defect since the last thing the tech advised was that I hook it up to my laptop and see if it works on a second computer. I didn't buy it to use on my laptop--I lose, I guess. I'd make this a video review but I don't have a working webcam, or not at least until I hook up my old $30 Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 which, while not a great webcam, at least works well enough to use.

I love this camera, in the right conditions. There are a few things that are less desirable about it that annoy me so much I want another camera. I paid $99 for this. It is sleek, great picture, love the way the lighting self adjusts, stereo sound, great little guy.However... in very low lighting it is poorly grainy (I have had other cams that this was not a problem, the lighting just adjusted - granted poor but not grainy). I am talking about, after dark there seems to be a need for a light to be right beside the cam in order to stop the grain feed.It does not seem to play nice with other software than its own... just my personal exp, with ManyCam and Adobe encoder 3.1 maybe about 8 out of 10 times they do not argue; I ask for perfection, my bad.Bottom line.... I am going to have to give it a 8 out of 10. Worth $99.. not so sure. I would have felt better paying around $50-65Good cam overall

Plugged it in on my new Windows 8 machine and it just worked. No issues in Skype. I ended up downloading the Logitech drivers, which extend the functionality a bit. The hi-res image is really fine. Good auto-focus, good auto-correction of exposure and white-balance, which are challenges in my environment with a mix of different lighting sources depending on time of day. The Logitech software also lets you zoom and pan. I have not yet experimented with the head-tracking or motion-detection modes.Too bad I don't look better in hi-def, where every blemish shows up!

The video on this webcam is excellent. However, the limitations are audio-related. I did testing in Win XP SP3 and some testing in Linux.Pros:Video Quality -- excellentCompatibility -- good -- even works in Linux Mint 12, and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. No software provided for Linux, but Skype works.Software (Win) -- very good, easy-to-use, records video as H.264 .MOV (QuickTime) files.Cons:CD -- none included. Must download latest from website.Audio -- built-in "stereo" mics, but stereo effect is minimal (actually unnoticeable).Audio resolution can be as high as 48 kHz (bit-rate not mentioned).Audio Commentary.I am trying to make a budget pro-quality recording studio using a laptop, webcam, and M-Audio FastTrack Pro USB sound card w/ 2 Audix microphones on XLR cables (or possible a Mackie mixer connected to the M-Audio). The biggest problem is that any alternate audio source selected, computer mic or external sound card, only records monophonic -- not stereo. To record in stereo, your only choice is the webcam's built-in mics. Since the webcam's mics are only inches apart, the stereo effect is not even noticeable.Worse yet, the user is not told of this limitation. In the recording software configuration, when you choose the audio source, no mention is made that any other source besides the Logitech webcam's built-in mics will make your recording be monophonic. When choosing the audio quality, this caveat is not mentioned either. This is absolutely unforgivable.I confirmed this limitation with Logitech tech support. To do a HD video with true stereo recording, you must find 3rd party software.I hope Logitech's software developers remedy this outrageous software limitation.

I upgraded to this camera from a Lifecam and the differences were insane.It's got great picture, great color, perfect hd, and I have had it for months with zero problems.I have friends who bought it and disliked the color range, but they said they preferred another Logitech camera.You can't go wrong with any of the newer Logitechs. They are perfect for people who use them on a daily basis for work, youtube, or just chatting with friends.I like this camera especially, and have recommended it with great satisfaction to many of my friends. They've also bought it and either loved it, or loved it almost as much as the Logitech c910.Either way, the company makes amazing cameras for the price. I never expected how great it would be, and I might buy a backup in case this one breaks, or as a present to a friend.

Disappointed with this purchase. After visiting online reviews of different cameras available, I settled on this one as I was interested in the creative element of the video effects feature--creating your own video mask, fun filters. Turns out logitech's software and menu screen no longer supports and/or offers this feature. Essentially it is a video camera with sound capabilities. The "Right Light" automated color balance and light contrast do not perform well in a variety of light conditions. Although manual settings can allow for proper light and color balance with resulting excellent picture, these settings cannot be saved, and must be manually recalibrated everytime the camera is turned on--1 star for lack of ability to save settings to personal preference. Sound and optic quality perform well.

Due to the h.264 the picture quality scales nicely at almost any resolution, this means that 1920*1080 can stream at 320*240 on slower connections and still look amazing, over all the video is almost perfect (there are a few issues with focus but i outright disable that)The audio on the other hand, is worthless.It boasts stereo, but all that does is give uneven audio that doesn't even sync in most situations.The audio is flat-out muddy and not worth it, if you want this webcam for the amazing video quality you should probably have a separate microphone.

This camera rocks. It is super clean and clear. I see no grain in the picture what so ever. Nice 1080p resolution fills my 24 inch 1080p monitor. There is no lag in the picture or sound of their voice. The sound is clear and crisp. I have a separate mic but the mic on this camera sounds better then the one I have for gaming.Overall I'm very pleased with this camera and I love how small it is. Fits perfectly on my Viewsonic and you don't even really see it.I would highly recommend this for everyday use talking with family and friends.Received this in 5 days with Amazon free shipping to Hawaii!

The construction of this webcam is unlike any other I have seen. I purchased for $72 and it is a steal! People tell me the quality is amazing. Full 1080p, a good mic, and the software is not as bad as I remember it being on lesser Logitech webcams. This is also the heaviest webcam I have experienced. Not in a bad way, but more towards the solid construction behind the C920. I have renewed faith in webcams! It mounts perfectly to my ASUS VS238H-P. The camera also mounts to a tripod, which I can see being very handy for professional usage.

I wanted to get a camera to hook into my home media center in my living. It displays through my 42" tv. I also bought one from my brother in Chicago. When I chat with him the widescreen shows his entire livign room (consisting of a 7 person huge wrap around couch and a wide recliner) and in great quality.Pros:- long usb cord for use with tv computer display.- widescreen shows an entire room- amazing qualityCons:- improves quality of video for the person you are chatting with, but not the quality you see them (give it as a gift to them, and it's really a gift for you)Gone are the days of the crappy built-in webcam of your laptops!!!This is a really great gift for whoever you chat with as it makes the picture they see great. So it is best to gift this to someone so you can see them better.

Tried it with Skype and Google plus. Excellent. Managed a simultaneous link up with Belize and London (and Georgia), perhaps not quite 3 continents. Very simple plug and play with my Windows 8 and install the additional management software of your choice. Although to have it at its very best, probably would need a fairly fast connection. My test connection was only 3 Mbps, it all worked, but it did inform me my bandwidth wasn't optimal. Ah rural Georgia, when people in Belize can get faster internet - mind you my British pal there does own an internet cafe....

Wow, I bought this camera with an Amazon gift card my parents gave me for my B-bay, and have a very old Logitech web cam, that worked well, I have a you tube ministry where I make videos sharing the truth of the gospel, and this camera is ideal, excellent detail, great sound, easy to set up on my new windows 8 computer, I just downloaded the drivers.I like the way you can adjust the picture quality, and also take high resolution pictures, plus its ability to sit on a tri pod. I was going to purchace a more expensive web cam to make my videos, but this small web cam exceeds my expectations in quality and ease of use!

I shopped for a camera to replace my old one, which was only old by technology standars (8 months). This camera was priced at over $100 at my base exchange, and so I searched good-ole trusty Amazon. They had the same camera for HALF the price I could have purchased it in the store for. The quality is amazing. Though the 1080p isn't bluray quality, it is still really good, especially if you are just using it for Skype. It blows the camera my parents are using out of the water. Now they want one.

This is by far the best web cam I have ever owned. I usually call from a room that can be medium lit and previous cameras made the background in my room completely black. This camera is able to capture every shred of light in my room in vivid detail. The autofocus could use some improvement as I am using a mac with it. Also, I would like to see driver support and logitech software for the C920 on mac...not solely PC.

The web cam is a great camera... my issues are with Logitech's software. I have other devices installed and Logitech's software would not allow any changes in microphone or speakers... after two uninstall/reinstall's I still can not get the in-camera speakers to work! Nor do the "video effects" work at all! The uninstall/reinstall gives you a different software than when you do the original install [ which does not seem to be available on a reinstall] I use Windows 7 64 bit... the original install did not check or ask HOW I wanted it installed... then nothing would work! A LOT of work to install a simple web cam!While the camera is great, the lack of ability to select/change microphone/speakers and other Logitech software issues is what gave this camera its 3 stars... OK BUT NOT GREAT!

I'm creating an inexpensive multi-point business video conferencing system using low-cost, off the shelf commodity components, and I'm using the Logitech C920 as part of this effort.Considering that a top quality PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) camera can be several thousand dollars, I needed an alternative that could put out a reasonable 1080p image at an affordable price. Since I can control the lighting and so forth, I don't really require anything special in terms of low-light performance...all I really need is a camera that puts out a credible image when displayed on a 10 foot projection screen, and is simple enough to work with a variety of online video conferencing systems, including Skype, WebEx and so forth.So far, the Logitech hasn't disappointed me. It was easy to setup (assuming you have a Windows PC in the mix) and it performs well. Construction quality is good for the price, and it's so small as to be easily mounted in a variety of settings (mine is attached to the top of a 65" plasma monitor using a custom bracket). With good lighting, I get very good video quality out of this small camera, even when compared to my firm's $100K Telepresence system.I can't really speak to the audio quality - we're using an in-ceiling microphone and speaker system, so we have little need for the built-in audio on this camera.On the software front, so far we haven't had any issues whatsoever, and the camera works with just about everything we throw at it. The one exception is Macs - although we have good results viewing video on Macs, it doesn't seem possible to connect the C920 to a Mac directly - you need a Windows PC somewhere in between (it *does* work with Windows under VMware Fusion on a Mac, so long as you have a really fast Mac).Definitely recommended at the price.

The picture is sharp in both HD (720p or 1080p)modes, but it is REVERSED--flipped horizontally. What should be on the right is now on the left, and vice versa, and the only way to get the picture orientation correct is to select a lower resolution mode (360p or 480p). Logitech Support is only marginally helpful and could not correct this problem for me or duplicate it in their lab. Even with the most up to date software, and plenty of hardware capacity, and a personally guided"clean boot" with their tech rep, there was no correcting this problem. I'm close to returning it. What is the point of having an HD camera if it doesn't work properly or allow you to adjust orientation settings in HD mode? Buyer beware!UPDATE! Uninstalling and Reinstalling the software has clarified one aspect. In HD mode, if I hold up something printed to show the camera, even though my screen image is still reversed, the words someone else sees are in the correct alignment for reading clearly from left to right. The image reversal issue may be for allowing this feature, which might be useful to the other person viewing this sort of material.

The camera was very easy to set up and is of high quality make and performance. The cable is typical length, so some might find it useful to get a USB extension cord, depending on how far away from your system it will be. It has motion detection recording capability, face-following, and with the Logitech software it can adjust the angle of its view once zoomed in at least a bit. Definitely worth the price, even if it can't swivel left and right on its own.

Misleading advertising! Bottom line it is a "good" webcam BUT if you are going to get it because of the “special effects” forget it, there is none. I ordered this web cam and another Logitech low end model (for $20.00). There is a good bit of difference in picture quality however not enough to justify spending $90.00 on this one! No install CD, you need to go to their site and hunt around for the software (and I do mean hunt.) May send this one back because I wanted one with special effects and this one simply does not have it. Do a Google search on “no special effects on the Logitech C920" and you will see all the complaints (and BS runarounds posted by Logitech.) Really surprised this company would do this, they HAD a good track record…. Until now!

The installation of this camera couldn't be easier the HD quality is magnificent. The only reason this isn't a 5-star rating is because of the software. I've not been able to get the "special effects" to come up, but that's not an issue with the camera itself. I believe Logitech has an issue with the current level of software. Beyond that, this is the best webcam I've ever had.

Frustration X 1000!!!! Installed the software that you must download as it is too expensive to burn a CD and include it in the retail package!!!! and don't give me the tired old excuse of "Well if you download the PKG from our wonderous website you will have all the latest drivers, etc....BULL... 133 MB of garbage software that most people NEVER USE!!!! Burn that Cxxx on a CD and give a link to download the latest drivers......That would be best for most customers...Hey Logitech are you DEAF!!!!! Okay so the primary software to run the Webcam called "LWS...Logitech Webcam Software" crashes with a Data Protection Error warning and a search of the Logitech support website shows this has been a problem since 2006 and it is too complex a problem to post a solution on the web....You Must Call Tech Support on your own dime .....NO Toll free number. So I wait until their office on the West Coast is open and get a offshore callcenter....Tech offers to help and we do both of the solutions that he knows about... neither work!!!! So he offers the only advise left...return the Webcam.............Thanks for NOTHING!!!!!! Lenovo 510 with Windows Vista Home Premium...... WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS BUGGY SOFTWARE!!!!!! I mean come on 6 years to solve a KNOWN PROBLEM!!!!!!I had to give this one star in order to post this review!!!......I wish I had the choice to give it a Negative 5 stars!!!!!!

It is about as good as it gets.. It looks amazing and took me about 10 seconds to install.. You plug it in, it automatically goes to the driver site and says" go get a coffee or something,it'll be about 10 minutes".. So I did.. Came back and it instantly popped up w/ my mug staring back at me on it.. Opened windows movie maker and started my video game vids for Youtube.. It was that easy.. If only all products worked as well as this one did right out of the box.

Sits on top of Apple 30 inch Cinema display. Plugged into USB in back of display. Worked immediately! No drivers or software needed. Tested it out in GoToMeeting and using Skype with excellent results. In GoToMeeting Webcam Preferences gives you 4:3 (Normal) or 16:9 (Widescreen) options and it works very well in either. Looks good even in low light conditions. Tested the audio and compared with using the Blue Snowball. Blue Snowball gives very good quality close-up audio but as soon as you move the angle of your head or move away from the mic the quality degrades. By contrast the stereo mics on the Logitech c920 sound good and consistent even when I walked around the studio. Though the maximum audio quality not quite as good as Blue Snowball, c920 audio certainly good enough for any webinar or video conferencing. Highly recommend!

I got this camera for a dual-purpose microphone (Ventrilo/Mumble) and video chat (Google Plus, Skype) device; and while the software is intuitive and as full featured as anything else I've seen on the market, it was not as high quality as you would expect for something at this price. The video is crisp, clean, and lends great credit to the device; and it's a very small and unobtrusive device that sits attractively under my monitor, but no matter what I do I cannot get the microphone to work in a pleasing manner.It doesn't matter if I'm utilizing Skype, Google Plus, Ventrilo, Mumble, Steam, or any number of third-party overlays, no combination of inbound/outbound settings seems to give it an entirely pleasing microphone usage.

The camera and microphone quality is great. Everything else is a bit half baked. The camera does not pivot sided to side, only up and down, this is a big nuisance if you do not need the camera perpendicular to the screen. The tripod hole can maybe fix this for some people, but it is not ideal. The software is pretty terrible, the motion capture is pretty buggy and needs the program to be opened (windows 7 pro), the controls are pretty lame and overall the software is crude and lacks basic features and was clearly not designed by anyone with an interface design background. I could do better, it just seems like it was an afterthought when it is really an opportunity Logitech should take full advantage of since their hardware is generally very good.

I have had this camera for a few days, and so far it cannot do something very very simple that I want it to do. All I want is to be able to see what is in front of the camera, in real time, on my computer screen in full 1080p hd resolution. For one thing, the software that comes with it does not seem to be able to show a real-time image of what is in front of the camera. Previous webcams I have owned all had something that could do that. Furthermore, I have not been able to get it to show a full 1080p image. I have been trying numerous free trials of webcam programs, some of which feature the capability to handle 1080 hd or above. When I use such programs, and set the video to operate at the correct resolution, what I get isn't even at the correct ratio -- it is 4x3 rather than widescreen -- and it is definitely not showing 1080 video. I would guess that it is not even showing anywhere near 720 video. Maybe 768 x 1024, but more likely 600 x 800. I have contacted customer service and so far it seems that they didn't really even read my question, since all I asked about was how to have 1080 video show up on my own computer, and they sent me a bunch of information about Skype and other programs, telling me how to use the camera for video calls, etc. I know that is probably what most people will buy this for, but I don't think what I want to use my camera for is all that unusual (I want to have live video of art demonstrations I give in class to show up on a projector).I will update this if I find out that there is a way to do what I want to do. But to me it is a mark against Logitec that I have to work so hard to so something so completely basic with this camera. I'm going to try a little bit longer, and then I will be sending this thing back.

I really needed a new camera and after looking at some reviews settles with this one because of the HD. First could not get it to work on my home machine (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - x64). It was being recognized but no video woudl show. Then by change I plugged it into a different USB port ... it requires a USB 3.0 port to run correctly, the older 2.0/1.0 ports appear to be the problem. I did not further investigate beyond that as I am just happy it works (Skype, Google Hang-Out, etc.) but all I can say I am VERY happy with it.

Update:Ok, I finally got this installed, so can provide some feedback on using it for Skype. Let me start by saying that my purpose for this camera is to use it above my living room TV (to which my PC is attached), as a way to Skype friends/family from the living room. This means that I won't be using a headset for the sound, but will be using the built-in microphones and the tv speaker.The video quality on this camera is truly excellent, as many other reviewers have commented. The audio situation, however, is an entirely different matter. In this living room setup, this camera is completely unusable in the audio department. The microphone on the camera picks up audio quite well from people in the room, even seated 8 feet away on the sofa. However, as soon as the remote party speaks and sound comes out of the TV speakers, the setup falls apart. The sound from the tv speakers is picked up by the camera microphone, and then it tries to do some sort of background noise suppression, which then leads to all the sound from the remote party being clipped and unintelligible. I tried to adjust just about all the settings in both skype, the camera drivers, and the tv ... but nothing improved.-------Well, I haven't been able to review the camera yet, due to the HORRENDOUS installation experience. I have an extremely standard PC setup (2 year old Dell desktop, Windows 7 Ultimate). The "smart install" software for the camera crashed about 5 minutes in and told me my hard drive was full (it has over 1 TB of free space). Then I downloaded the "full install" (140 MB), and it froze my whole computer for 5 min ... then finally recovered ... and started a 15 min long install process, that is has yet to successfully complete yet.

We use this camera primarily with Skype for video calls. The people on the other end are always impressed by the image they get -- good resolution and framerate, probably owing to the hardware-based video compression. Autofocus is quick, and the stereo microphones are sensitive.Installation was a snap. The Logitech software is easy to use -- just download the latest version from the company website.In the past, we've used web cams from Microsoft and a few other Logitech units. This is by far the best made and best performing webcam we've had. Overall, it's a great choice that performs well in "real world" conditions. Highly recommended.

This was my first web cam to use with Skype. It was simple to set up and get working. The picture is very good and I really do not have anything bad to say about it except the price was a little high. I have always had good luck with the Logitech brand especially if you’re buying the higher end items. If you’re looking for a Camera with some good options and a good picture then this may be the camera for you.

I have had a Logitech Cam in the past and it served me well and I still use it some, but the software does not work on Win 7. This cam works very well, Great Pic. The one thing I do not care for is that the window in which the picture is shown is not changeable in size. I would like to see that remedied, otherwise, Great Cam........SHALOM...........Brother Randahl

Always in the past we've used a cheater cable to hook up a regular video camera to a laptop for important things. This one does 90% of that quick and easy! NO ZOOM (a bit of an electric one but not great) but other than that, excellent picture quality, fast response, good microphone, good looks. Nice Blue neon around it to tell you that you left it on...saved my butt once. Overall a great choice, a little pricey but worth it.

For the price, it's not a bad webcam. Like most other Logitech cameras, it appears to have what I call the "Logitech Grey" filter enabled - images seem to come out a little on the grey side. Most noticeably, the green channel seems to be quite understated - lime green comes out looking more like sage. Still some of the classic Logitech "fuzz" occurring, as well. Ultimately, though, it's better than my built-in, and better than some of the other Logitech models. I'm a little disappointed, though, given the hype around it. You'd think they could nail this thing by now. If you're anticipating a "wow" factor, it's just not there.

a very high quality webcam, with a wide viewing angle. There are cheaper webcams that would fit the use case of a majority of webcam users. However, if you have a need (or the expendable income) for the highest quality consumer webcam, you've come to the right place

Worst camera and last Logitech product I will ever buy. Logitech has gone done the toilet and it remains to be buried there forever. I can't believe I paid 100 bucks for this piece of junk. 1080p my butt. It's worse than my 7 year old 640p camera. I am totally serious. Microphone has a constant eco no matter how you adjust the settings. I installed the drivers and tried both Skype and Logitech Vid HD, still sucks. I am so furious at getting ripped off by Logitech that I cannot even begin to express it. DONOT BUY THIS CAMERA, 1080P is a lie. Logitech also screwed us revue owners with their honeycomb update which is full of flaws. This prooves one thing and that is that Logitech does not give a dam about it's customers. Unbelieveable. Never again.

I had previously purchased the predecessor to the Logitech C920, the C910, and I was interested in seeing what improvements, if any, Logitech had made to an already excellent webcam. Physically, the two look very similar, but the C920 has a somewhat smaller body and adds a tripod socket, greatly expanding its usefulness. Like the 910, the 920 has an articulating base, but the 920's base has been subtly redesigned to fit better in more situations. Neither of them really work all that well on the thin bezel of a laptop - they're more meant for a desktop monitor - but the 920 with more hinge points will be easier to position. The 920 can even sit on a desk, though the angle is probably not so good for most use.An addition not immediately visible is that the C920 has its software built-in - just plug it in to a Windows PC and it will self-install the software. (Mac users can download software from the Logitech web site.) The software includes some silly thing that will superimpose a cartoonish face on your eyes and lips - this didn't work well for me and I can't imagine who would want to use it on a regular basis.The picture quality from the C920 was superb, as was the audio. One can zoom the picture but no panning feature is provided.

Got this webcam for my wife to use for Skype calls to her sister in Australia. It works great. Easy to install and set up, nice picture and good voice on the other end. It includes a feature to follow your face if you move around, and zoom in more if you get closer to the display. All very nice. It replaces a Microsoft LifeCam v7000...also a nice device, but I have to say the Logitech has a better picture. I recommend this device.

Got this as a replacement to an old QuickCam Ultra Vision SE that finally saw it last day. This camera is leaps and bounds ahead of that old trusted companion. The image provide by this device has to be seen to understand just how crisp and clear. I use it mostly for skyping (personal and business) and it delivers. Price point is spot on and if the life of my previous camera is any indicator, this one should last about 6 years as well.

I have Windows 8 on my PC and when I plugged it into my USB hub it automatically downloaded the correct drivers and it worked !!! I was so excited. I use it mainly for Skyping, but it could be used like any other Web Cam. I'm pleased with the quality of the video transmitted and also like the blue stripes that light up on either side of the camera when it's active.Also, I was worried about whether it would work with my monitor, since it's about 3" thick, but the adjustable base made it easy to just sit it on top of my screen, even though it has a rounded back.

After reading several reviews, all of which rated this as the best webcam, I purchased the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920. This is an awesome product at a reasonable price. The product is easy to install, easy to use, and the picture is crystal clear. It is a great webcam at a reasonable price. This product performed so well that I purchased a second one to replace the internal camera on my laptop.

This webcam must be the most complete cam out there. Great image quality with features all built in with the logitech software. It is definitely the best option for anyone using this for skype, video or voice. I use this in my office and it does what it needs to great, people are able to both see and hear me clearly.

Bought another web cam so my son could Skype from his computer. This camera is the best of the five cameras we have had recently. We have had a Microsoft camera and a variety of other models of Logitech cameras as well as an off brand. We also have Dell and HP laptops with integral webcams. This camera installed easily, the built in microphone appears to deliver clear, undistorted voice, and the video quality is very good. The most noticable feature is that it does not appear to be as sensitive to light levels as some of the other cameras. It transmits a good picture with lower levels of lighting. For our use it was worth the higher price compared to cheaper versions we have had.

I found the quality of this camera to be pretty great overall. The mounting system is smart, and the included software makes it easy to take a quick pic or video using the camera. The microphone could be better, so I recommend another mic.I don't think this is for someone who is looking to record videos in 1080p for YouTube or what have you due to the framerate, but the picture resolution is plenty for taking a quick pic at your PC or Skype calls.

This Webcam was instantly recognized and configured by our MAC OS -- I was a little worried at first since it did not say clearly it was compatible. FaceTime (Apple's version of Skype) also configured it automatically. But, when initially using Skype, there was no sound. One has to go in to the Skype Preferences and manually pick the audio from the C920.

I realize that this is made for PC. However I took a chance and bought it for my mac because the specs were the best logitech had to offer. It works just fine for Skype, but all of the controls are hidden away for PC users only.
