Overall, this should be a wonderful piece of hardware! It has everything! It has excellent reviews.... but warning on the driver. I put it into my CD driver and it kept grinding... Mine could have been just one bad driver out of millions. I have used Logitech devices before and they have been fantastic.

Couldn't get it to work with AIM, but it didn't much matter, it works magnificently with MSN Messenger. I've never had a problem with it, I've rarely ever had lag issues, or performance issues of any kind.Sometimes there is a bit of an echo in the speakers, but it's not so much that you can't get over it.All in all this is a great product that produces a VERY clear picture if there is enough light. Also, the filter on it for brightening in low light situations is very good. I'd recommend it to anyone. It fits snugly, but securely on the screen of my Dell Inspiron 9300.

Not only did it live up to my expectations, it surpassed them. Setup was automatic and painless. The camera's quality is better than average and it is very, very tiny which is important for a "Road Warrior". The camera will zoom, pan, autofocus and "Track" your movements if you wish.All in all, you cannot go wrong if you need a high quality, tiny laptop camera.

If your looking for a decent web cam for under $30 this is one of the best. It works great on a laptop and has a nice carrying case to transport it while on the road. The resolution is great for the price and the microphone is sensitive and can pick up sound great and cancels out background noise fairly well. The face tracking software could be better but I don't use it.

I was surprised when I opened my camera to see that it also had a microphone and and earpiece. So I got more for my money. It fits perfect on my notebook and it's very easy to install. It's a bit pricey but I have to say that it's woth the money.

easy to install. Only problem is it stays on constantly. Not sure how to shut it off.It does have a way to adjust the picture. It comes in nice and bright but sometimes is kind of fuzzy and not clear.

I've used a few times and it's pretty cool..I must say. I researched this on cnet and it got good reviews. It's easy to install and works great on my computer. You don't need a headset to talk...since the cam has a mic on it. So I can't complain about it

Overall, I am happy with the purchase. I'd recommend it to anyone who cares about the quality of the pics/video they want to send. If you expect to use it infrequently, I'd buy something cheaper.Pros: Easy to set up, excellent software package, great picture and video quality (have yet to try the microphone yet). The software has some cool avatars and you can get more from Logitech's website. A face tracking feature keeps the camera focused on you and allows the avatars to mimic you. It's easy to adjust the camera specs for different environments. The semi-hard case is cool to have.Cons: It was pricey, but it's balanced by the quality. The clip could be a little better. It takes a little fiddling to get it to sit on the lip of my T series ThinkPad. Also, the cord could be longer. I could see someone with USB ports towards the front of the machine having trouble with the cord length, but it's not a problem for me.

The video was remarkably sharp, but never could get any sound no matter what I or my computer guy tried. Returned the camera and bought a quickcam pro elsewhere that worked fine. Go figure.

The cam did a really nice job keeping me in touch with my wife who was away for 5 days as part of her Phd program. The kids and I could see and hear her clearly. The only draw back I think for all these notebook cams is the way they mount to the laptop, they have a tendency to slip off easily if the edge of the laptop is rounded over as her is. My compaq presario is more of a square edge and does not preset an issue. The camera even has face tracking software to keep the persons face in the shot...

When I ordered this webcam I never know it would be so easy to install and use, plus the clear images, pictures and videos are great, now I'm enjoying my PC more than before, The Mic and headphone are so great and helpful too..Awsome!!!

The Logitech camera was very easy to setup and very good quality. Got it setup in minutes and the picture was very good quality. I got it for my 15 year old daughter and she was very pleased. Good for the price.

This is a great inexpensive option as far as webcams go. I have purchased others with more features and a higher price tag, but find myself seldom using the extras. This product does the basics, and I think that's all that most people really need. Zero problems!

Nice cam but not the best...This little bulky eyeball shaped cam may look little outdated on your desk, there are many sleek cams now for the same price...quality is OK with day light, room lights will have grainy images...easy to use...

Average camera - the quality is average, the cord it too thick so you cant put it in a stable shape while you want to move it around. I think for the money they could have done a better job. But it is not that bad.

Logitech is a company that has won numerous awards both for product design and functionality. I was pleased to see this characteristic extend even to their lower-priced offerings.The Logitech QuickCam Chat appears to be the latest iteration of their popular QuickCam Messenger. As far as styling is concerned, it is quite basic and unremarkable. The ball shape and superiorly-placed shutter button are quite typical for Logitech webcams.Package was basic but complete, and included a rudimentary set of headphones with a microphone for videocalls (apparently the application to which this particular model is geared to). Also included were a quick guide, and a software installation CD.The webcam itself has a standard multi-directional swivel on a ball-joint, and is mounted on a semi-flexible stand. This stand can be molded to fit on practicaly any surface, even the top of a notebook PC's screen.Installation of the software and camera was smooth and I had it up and running in a few minutes.Camera video performance was adequate during most indoor lighting conditions. A focus ring was available for fine-tuning, but I left it alone since it appeared to have been preset for the standard focal distance of about 2-3 feet. Still photos, as are typical for CMOS cameras, were of extremely poor quality.It is interesting to note how people blame the camera for "choppy video" or "grainy pictures", when these are obviously the result of a slow internet connection and poor lighting conditions.For the price, this web camera can't be beat for basic video chat. Why anyone would even want to use it for any other application, let alone for taking still pictures is beyond me.

Enjoying my new web cam,particularly when I`m talking to friends via IM. Lots of fun. Satisfied with purchase transaction, Delivery was made in fair time, Purchase price was good.and item works well as stated No problems. Would do business again.

Its very compact, sits nicely on the laptop but if you want to chat without a headset, its useless in the sense that you get echoes. and that is very disturbing. Picture quality is very nice and resolution is pretty good.

it is ok in daylight but very poor performance in low light conditions.......if planning to use at night then better to get a good one especially the Logitech Quick Cam Fusion which i got later and is the best one for me so far in the lowest of light conditions

I love this webcam!! It is my first webcam and it was easy to install. I bought one for myself and one my husband in Iraq and we both get to see each other very clearly. The color is not perfect But it is not a problem at all. It has a cute sleek design that fits my notebook perfectly. I really could not have asked for more especially because I got it with the rebate.

All I had to do was put in the software CD and plug in the web cam. Everything started working immediately with the Skype account we were already using. Could not have been easier. Highy recommend.

I like the compactness of this webcam, and that you can just zip it in its tiny bag and put it away. I also believe the clarity is pretty decent, and I wish I could see myself more than the people who I view, since their camaras have minimal lighting and poor quality compared to mine.

This product is one of the best webcam I ever used. At first, I thought webcam for laptops may not be as clear as desktop webcams, but this product proved me wrong. It's handy size allows me to bring it wherever I go. Excellent pick!
