Simply amazing! I like to think of my self as a smart shopper, and I test everything before making a purchase. The Ifi from Klipsch was in a league of its own. The sound from the Altec Lansing systems was mediocre at best. JBL's little box was good for the price, tested at $99.00. I wanted something a little more substantial though. So I tried the Bose. Don't even get me started on that company. They are robbing the American public! You will get a better sound system than any Bose model for an equivalent price in another brand. I used to praise their sound, but not anymore. Again, Bose's Ipod system was mediocre at best, I continued my search...... The Klipsch Ifi was my solution. Amazing sound! The bass was right up there with the moderate home theater systems. The technology was superb as well. There are two line inputs, so I can listen to more than just my Ipod. The remote is RF, which means it goes through walls and other objects, and never needs to be pointed right at the system. They included dock adapters, so any Ipod works with the system, which is nice because my girlfriend has the Ipod mini. There are also controls on the system itself. Last, but not least, it looks great in my living room! Hands down, the best Ipod system out right now. Hats off to Klipsch!

So I needed to upgrade my computer speakers and came across alot of different 2.1 systems. Then I was at my local Costco and heard these puppies for the first time. I was stopped in my tracks and had no choice but to listen and enjoy. Wow! I was ready to buy then and there but found out they were out of stock. I eventually found them on Ebay for alot less than retail. Best thing I have purchased in a long time. It was a bonus that this was primarily a sound system for the iPod and just happened to have connections for my PC. I play online games such as Counter-Strike and other action games and the sound is just jaw dropping. My neighbor thought there was a war zone in my living room. The bass you ask? Rich, deep and room filling. Do yourself a favor and pick this system up. You can go to the klipsch website and pick up a refurbished system from them directly for around $200

I consider myself an audiophile - I have a huge system that I've built over the years, but it's so big and power hungry that its not practical in my current situation. I purchased the iFi system to play music and hook to my computer - and damn it sounds good. This system is replacing a $5000+ system (including a PS-Audio P-300 and large electrostatic speakers) and while nothing will replace or match it, this little system comes damn close!I am using the new 30gig iPod video, and while Klipsch hasn't made the exact insert yet, there is one provided that is close - just be careful! They say the inserts will be available in February.The only cons I have other than those already described (doesn't synch, tiny remote, no other inputs) is the line-in connection to the computer doesn't have as high quality sound as playing through the iPod. I want to play games with my iPod playing in the background, but the music is always louder. I also compared music played on the computer vs. iPod, and the iPod is WAY better. I have nice Audigy sound card, so it should be outputting good sound. I need to try a better cable (found a cheapie at Radioshack).Overall this is an AWESOME product, highly recommend. I found a refurbished unit from Klipsch for $200...

I've owned the Bose SoundDock for the past 14 months, and was generally satisfied. Then I heard of the iGroove, and decided to buy one and compare the two -- and sell off the loser.What a smart move. The Klipsh won, hands down, and that's not just my opinion; I dragged three friends over to weigh in. It's unanimous. The Klipsch iGroove provides true audio fidelity: crisp, bright highs, resonant bass, and every last nuance in between. Whereas Bose processes the sound into a kind of warm mush (which has a certain appeal, I'll grant), my new iGroove makes me feel like I'm listening to something much closer to "live" -- I can almost picture the room where the music is being made, it's just so much more accurate. So, the Bose got posted to craigslist, and the Klipsch iGroove is now pounding out the beats in my living room.If you have to choose between the two, here's what you have to ask yourself: do I want a one-mix-fits-all approach ("no highs, no lows, must be a Bose"), or do I want to hear every instrument and the tone of every sung note the way the music maker intended? If you choose the latter, you want a Klipsch iGroove.

Needed a system to replace the ridiculous Altec iMotion desktop speakers. Of course...straight to the Bose Sound Dock, after all Bose rules, right?? Not so. Having been a rabid music fan for over 40 years, I know what sounds right. Going through the entire catalog, Dvorak, Old 97s, Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Eagles, The Derailers, Mussorgsky...you get the idea...the Klipsch won hands down. Everything I played through it was clean, well defined, and articulate. Bass was tight, not muddy; high end was just bright enough..perfect.This is a speaker system you want to LISTEN to music. I recently acquired an Altec IM7 iMotion to use out by the pool so I can annoy the neighbors with all the bass and accellerated volume. Quite possibly if I were a hard line Metal fan, the IM7 may be a better choice...but I'm not and Ozzy sounds pretty good through the Klipsch too.

I bought BRAND NEW CONDITION. Don't want to give you elaborate explanation how awesome it is. HOWEVER, IF YOU WANT TO BUY A REFURBISHED ONE, YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL. ONE OF MY FRIENDS BOUGHT A REFURBISHED ONE FROM THIS WEBSITE. THE SOUND IS AWFUL! WITH THE LIMITED WARRANTY, HE WAS NOT ABLE TO RETURN IT. NOW, it is in the trask bin. Just want to share my lively experience how great this item is. Anyway, the price of Brand New and a Refurbished one is not much difference. What you pay for difference is much better sound guality and 5 Year Warranty!! The price of Brand New Item on Amazon at $225 is such a great deal!

Want the sound of a full size stereo system in your living room? This will do it. It has three big pluses over the Bose Ipod Player: (1) It has better treble sounds thanks to Klipsch proprietary horn tweeters, (2) It doesn't have the artificial surround Bose adds to its player to make the sound fuller--consequently you get a more realistic sound, and (3) you can play other MP3 players on it, not just the IPOD (although the remote only works for IPOD. Also, I am noticing better pricing on the Klipsch than on the Bose. So, it is not only better, it is a better deal.

I use my ifi with my computer in my office. Before this, I owned a set of Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers and sub. I have to say I think they sounded a little better than the iFi system. Granted the iFi is not made specifically for a computer system, (with the Ipod in it, it won't dock/update with the computer), but you can use it as such, and they do give you a connection to hook into your computer so you can listen to the Ipod and hear computer sounds as well,(the connector is not included though). As a stand alone unit it sounds great and has good room filling sound, you may need to tweak the Ipods EQ to get the sound you want though. The remote control is a joke. It is this tiny little oval hunk of plastic with all the buttons all the same color. Every time I try and use it I have to look at it to see which way I am holding it then push whatever button I want. There is no up or down to the remote because it is IR and works from any angle, but that means you never know which way you are holding it. You could not use it in low light conditions. Klipsch has a payment plan for this system which was convienient if you don't want to spend all the cash up front. Seems a little expensive for what I got but I am happy with it and the sound.I am on my 3rd, count them 3 docks. The speakers are the best sounding I have ever heard...but...the dock works for approx 6 months to 1 year then you get nothing but crackling and a volume control that goes haywire. Do some research on these and you will see 1 million complaints for the same problem from their own website to all over the net. Klipsch in the meantime does nothing but cancel the line. Some people try and sell them for 4 to 5 hundred. Don't be fooled, they are discontinued for a reason.

Since I got my IPOD in December, I have been in the market for a way to enjoy my favorite tunes at home. I had considered the Bose System and then the Klipsch and then lo and behold the Boombox came out. I finally made my choice and bought the Klipsch. I don't know all the technical jargon and my ears aren't as finely tuned as some of the reviewers but I can tell you this, it is a great way for me to listen to my music at home. The room is filled with good sound and the itty bitty remote is great as well. Only dissappointment I had was I ordered on the 5th and it didn't ship until the 11th. Got it on Friday the 14th and have enjoyed it all weekend.I am sure the other units are great but I am "Thoroughly Pleased" with my choice.

At $50 less than the BOSE iPod speaker system the Klipsch is a great deal. I have found the sound to be outstanding - a rich bass as well as no distortion at high levels. I am very pleased with the Klipsch iGroove and would definitely recommend it to others.

I have listened to Bose, Klipsch promedia 2.1, and the Klipsch Ifi beats them both hands down. Simply put, the Ifi is the best 2.1 computer speaker setup in the market today, period. There is no competition (well, not unless you want to spend a couple tens of thousands of dollars on a real audiophile grade stereo setup).

I had a set of ProMedia 2.1's that, unfortunately, had to be returned because the subwoofer was sounding a lot like a set of speakers that I blew in college... I returned the defective ProMedia's and bought the iFi. At first, the iFi is a bit of surprise. The ProMedia's have a sound that is excellent, but tailored to modern tastes (heavier bass, less mid, etc.). The iFi is much more accurate and provides a fuller soundstage. If you are very used to bad sound, they will sound a bit different at first. Then fire up a symphony orchestra and you quickly realize what you've been missing.These speakers do an excellent job of reproducing your music as it was meant to be heard. The difference in quality between these and the ProMedia's is instantly apparent as well. The ported sub, the weight of the whole setup, everything just screams high quality.Joel

I recently purchased the ifi after trying out the JBL onstage, the Altec Lansing im7, the logic3, and the bose's sounddock. The ifi is by far the best--its not even in the same league as the others! I purchased it at costco for only $200 which is a great deal--$100 less than the bose and about 10 times better. I have never owned an expensive home stereo system so can't really compare it to that, but it sounds awesome to me. I know that you can hook you ipod up to a home stereo system, but I like that the ifi recharges the ipod and that the remote controls the ipod.As to the others, I thought the logic 3 was junk and returned it. The JBL onstage was okay but kind of tinny. I did buy the im7 as it sounds good for a portable system, has a battery option, will be good for outside, and is $100 less than the boses. However, if you do not necessarily need something portable, get the ifi--it is so much better than the others.I also love the remote which works anywhere in my house even on different levels.

?The other reviews here have said it all about the sound quality of the Klipsch IFI system, I just want to point out that, as this system seems to be marketed as an iPod specific accessory, it is not. The IFI has two mini jack inputs, one on the back of the Sub right next to the iPod dock connection, and one on the back of the dock itself, and should work with any other mp3 player on the market.I have the Creative Zen Photo, 8 gig MP3 player, plus the Linksys WMLS11B wireless music system, (which allows me to wirelessly access any music on my hard drive), hooked up to mine,with excellent results.It looks like anything that can be adapted to a stereo mini jack will work with this system. So don't let all the reference to the iPod stop you from buying and experiencing the excellent sound of the Klipsch IFI.

Purchased an open box from Klipsch and boy what a deal. The iFi is by far the best stand alone speaker system for your iPod. Make sure you have encoded the music at a high bit rate or you will notice a difference.

I picked this unit up at Sam's Club recently for $199 and love it.Sounds great. Remote works well with my iPod 5G video. Onlyunit similar in size I have heard myself that beats it is my BoseAcoustic Wave. But that is a $1000 piece of equipment. Thisunit is definitely worth the price of admission !

I just bought the ifi speaker system from klipsch and I gotta say it has any other ipod speaker I've seen beat hands down. From the heavy, solid quality of the sub and sattelite speakers to the clear, signature Klipsch sound this is a serious system not a plastic tabletop setup. I don't have a problem with the small remote but I found the hex nut allen wrench adjustment difficult to handle. I do appreciate the fail-safe it offers, as you certainly don't want anything to happen to these puppies. A small price to pay for the awesome sound it delivers. Everyone walks into the room and says, "wow! what's that?'

I am a bit of an audiophile so I don't take MP3s seriously, whether running off an iPod or some other player, but Klipsch has come up with something that makes MP3 sound *almost* as good as CD. My nephew got one of these for his birthday and I was quite impressed at the sound quality, even the subwoofer is pretty decent...no match for a good audiophile Hsu or SVS sub but much better than the other Klipsch computer subwoofers which were always a bit underpowered.It certainly annihilates that pathetic Bose SoundDock POS...not much of a surprise there of course, Bose is the biggest scam in consumer electronics today. If you shop around you can sometimes find it marked down for a lot less than four hundred clams.

I've been looking for a replacement system for my ten year old CD shelf system/player that was on it's last leg. Man, this system ROCKS! It will rattle the windows. It's easy to set up, it charges the iPod while it plays, and for me, I like the fact I can set the alarm on my iPod and wake up to music. Bought it out of Ft. Worth, Tx. Great price, and packaged perfectly.This is a must system for any iPod owner.

I purchased this product and am 100% satisfied. Speakers are solid (metal-not plastic)and sound is great. This is not an accessory or a cool gadget. This turns your ipod into a kick ass home stereo. Sound is crystal clear and as loud as you could possibly want. Speakers can stand alone, be placed on speaker stands, or hung on a wall. If you are into your music, this is well worth the price. On a side note, I purchased this product refurbished for 1/2 price from the manufacturer and it works great and there are no cosmetic blemishes (this is a possibility as indicated on the site).

Just purchased my iFi at Costco for half price $199.00 and I could not be more pleased. Not only does the unit sound fantastic but the price was the best I've seen by far. The unit can take input from your computer or any other mini-stereo plug output and produces rich, room-filling sound with power to spare.I'd listened to all the competitors (Bose, Altec Lansing, etc.) and this unit blows the others away. It's worth the retail price of $399 but I MUCH rather get it for half that :)Thanks, Costco and Klipsch!

I'm surprised not to find more reviews of this product here. I've been using the iGroove for about two weeks now and am more than impressed with the sound quality - easily comparable to the Bose system for iPod. I use the iGroove with an iPod mini which is pretty secure in the adaptable base - I believe there are adapters for all of the iPods.The iGroove comes with a tiny remote which provides power, volume control and advance through tracks only. It's a bit on the heavy side despite it's relatively small size, and does not run on batteries which makes it not entirely portable. Also, the power cord is substantial and difficult to conceal if you're planning on using it on a desk or shelf.All in all, despite these minor flaws, the iGroove won me over with it's sound quality. Although the sales pitch seems to be that it has all the sound of the Bose system for less money, but actually the price difference is only $20.

la verdad es una maravilla, las bose puede que sean mas populares pero la calidad del sonido del Igroove es extraordinaria, le das mas valor a tu Ipod , se convierte de ser un walkman caro a un sistema integral de sonido.

Well, to say that I am very excited to own this system would be an understatement. Love the quality of sound, I was going to go for Bose Dock but luckily came across Klipsch iFi ..what a system ! I never owned Klipsch earlier so now I can definitely vouch for the quality product they have made. Definite buy for people who care for great quality of sound. I am enjoying the music at this very moment sitting in another room ... remote does work. Just wish there was a way to jump across playlists !!!! any body listening ?

good: pure crisp sound. nice look. cute little remote.bad: default volume when you first turn it on is too loud. I want to be able to use my IPod as an alarm clock, but speaker won't self activate when the alarm turns on. doesn't hold nano as securely as I'd like.OVERALL: good quality product.

I am very impressed with this little system. I was looking for something to use in a bedroom other then headphones to listen to my Ipod, and this was a great purchase. The sound is incredible from such a small unit and it is very easy to operate; the remote also controls the docked Ipod, which is one of my favorite features! If your looking for speakers for you Ipod at a reasonble price, this is your best bet!

I already owned the Bose Sound Dock, which certainly provides power to bring the music on your iPod to life...well, this system is truly room - even house-filling. And it's got the dynamic range to reach more longer distances. The amp provides a really intense depth and reach to the overall sound. Ever since I bought the iPod, I dreamt of finding a way to make it my main music system...well, that's what the iFi does! I do not use anything but this system in my home anymore! And for what you get...the price is great. Yes, the remote is tiny, very basic and difficult to handle, but a minor quibble overall.

Everything you've heard, and read is true: It offers transparent reproduction of lossless iPod music. The only downside for me was the full retail of about 400 bucks (plus shipping) I paid for it here at Amazon. My advice is shop around. There's better deals out there.

When I set this system up and pluged my ipod in it,I was blown away with the sound.This system sounds 10 times better than my head phones.I am so happy I purchased this, because it gives memore use out of my ipod.

When it comes to Ipod systems, I believe you will find the Klipsch ifi to be the best. Sure there are minor things they could improve upon - like the remote which allows only basic functions, however all in all, I think you'll be pleased with the sound quality and performance.

Klipsch knocks the ball out of the park with this one. Of all of the "made for iPod" speaker systems on the market, this one raises the bar to an entirely different level. The iFi gives you high quality audio that sounds as if it is coming from a much higher priced Stereo System. These are NOT multimedia speakers. These are audiophile quality speakers that you would use in a home stereo. The remote and control dock make this a one of a kind system. I can not sing the praises of the iFi enough. If you want to make your iPod your home stereo. BUY THE iFi!!!!!!!

Forget the Bose. This is the one!It will be interesting to see how the new i-Deck performs next to this, but at the moment this is the only iPod speaker system to own.
