I don't think it is possible to find a better multimedia speaker deal for under $40.00. The speakers set up easily and, despite their looks, can stay fairly inconspicuous. I have mine set up on top of our armoir withsome decorative plants to hide the sub. I am using this with the excellent AirPort Express to pipe my iTunes collection into the living room.

These speakers are great!! I purchased this system and when it arrived the right speaker didn't work, but no problem. Amazon emailed me a return shipping label and sent out a new speaker system immediately. I received the new one and it sounds great. I'm using it to play with my MP3(I'm not an IPOD fan), and the bass is great. It's not a blast you out of the water system, but for my needs it's plays loud enough. For the price I would recommend it.

For $40, I don't know if you can get better speakers. They look amazing with my white Macbook! The volume range is great, the bass KICKS when you turn it up, the sound is clean, and I am very happy I did not buy $300 Bose speakers. Also, just used them at a party, they get loud enough to dance to in the living room but not loud enough to dance to all the way in the kitchen. Great deal. The plugs are a little tricky (have to match up the triangles/squares... why?) and confuses people.

I am very please with my purchase. It came in a timely fashion and was easy to hook up to my Mac. I also like the power the little speakers have I can go into my office crank the music and finally get some work done!

Bought a set of these tonight and plugged them in when I got home. About 10 minutes later, I unplugged them and reboxed them up. Gonna return them tomorrow.so....Well, to be fair, let me give the whole story.First, I got these at CompUSA, which I have never had much luck with, but that is a personal thing I suppose. I only mention it however, because once I opened up the box, there was a duplicate set of manuals (one of which was not wrapped like the other one). It seemed like they might have been opened before. But that's not necessarily bad. Maybe they just did not work for someone else.I was shopping for them because I am redoing my computer/media room and the speakers I have now are real estate hogs. I have one of the Logitech 5.1 THX sets and I love them, but I have no way to utilize the rear speakers on this particular computer and the bass unit is a bit bigger than I can use. So...I went down and grabbed this little 2.1 set up after reading a few decent reviews. I liked the looks and they sounded pretty good in the store compared the the others.Anyways, they are not bad, but they are pretty "thin" and "tinny." There is very little if any mid range and the bass, once I tested it out on a variety on styles of music and spoken word tracks, sounded more "blurred" than like proper bass.So the sound was disappointing, but they are only $100 speakers, so...But then I noticed that the little green light on the left speaker went out. I played with it for a bit then noticed that that jack in the back of the bass unit was depressed and angled lower than the others. Bottom line, I could not get the cord to stay plugged into it for more than a minute or so.So, I have a faulty unit that may not really speak to the speakers that much. True. But I do think I got a good sample of the speaker sound, and it was lacking. The unit also seems a bit fragile as the plastic, while looking nice, is very lightweight and just looked fragile. My Logitech speakers, because of their stupid short cords (short for me, that is) fall off my desk all the time when I am moving things around and I fear that if one of these JBLs fell onto my carpet it would break.Anyways, I have spent too much time saying too little probably, but there you have it. I would agree with others who say that the sound is lacking...sub-par. I also agree with others who say the unit itself is fairly flimsy. The style is great and I love the small footprint. That is what I really wanted them for. But the sound and the build quality were not worth it for me. Maybe they will be good for you. Just keep your receipt and all your packing material. : )

I bought this speaker system thinking that it looked like it could do the job. Big disappointment, it worked for about 3 weeks and then totally just quit. Save your money and buy something else!

These are simply great!!One review said that the little speakers don't work..but I think that's because you didn't properly plug them.They have shape at the end of cord and have to plug intight. Speakers are more powerful than you'd imaginethese little ones to spit out.

Wow, not going to lie. I bought these speakers becuase a buddy of mine had them, and I couldn't live without. Sweet looking, incredibly small, great base and treble. I would buy these hands down over any other $50-60 dollar speakers on the market. Great buy!

I bought these speakers and hooked them up to my MacBook. The instalation was as simple as plugging headphones into an iPod! For $50 these speakers are excellent! The sound quality is great, and although they are small they produce a good volume! Excellent buy!

Installation is a breeze and sound quality is more than enough to use on any high-end desktop system. The wiring is long enough to allow the ideal positioning of the speakers and sub-woofer. You can adjust the volume from two touch-sensitive buttons on the left speaker, and the sub-woofer has two rotating knobs for bass and treble.Apparently exists also in gray and black, but may have been discontinued, so hurry!

The JBL Creature II pc speakers have a better than average sound for a 2.1 system. The controls are easy to use with separate bass and treble controls on sub and volume control on of the small speakers. They are loud enough for an average room.

These are really good mediocre speakers, but they won't "blow" you away. They are good computer speakers for a one room sound system, but isn't good for a whole house solution. BUT great sounding speakers for a 1 or 2 room sound system, and awesome for computers!! SOOOO much better than your typical computer speakers. The two speakers are really little and take up very little space. The subwoofer is pretty big and takes up alot of room wherever you put it. I gave it four stars because the treble and bass knobs are kinda flimsy and are wobbly. AND also if you try to blast it, you get either a real tinny sound or too much bass..it just may take some playing to get it just right......but I have to say, these are the best computer speakers I have gotten, and I have had quite a few high dolllar computer speakers...I paid a fraction of the cost for these compared to others, and these compete really well...awesome!!

This is a good product considering the price. Sound is decent and it's a good sound system for a laptop in a classroom. As a teacher, this sound system provides what is required for the price. Not wonderful, but not bad either. I'm happy with its performance.

Great little speaker. Appearance wise, it is very attractive and has caught a lot of attention from our visitors. Sound quality wise, I'd say it is the best speaker you can get for under $50.

Keep in mind I'm not blasting these things extremely loudly. But in my office setting the sound quality is great and the price ($40) is pretty awesome too.

After weeks, if not months carefully researching many speaker systems for my iRiver (tyring to avoid the iPod hype)I eventually trusted the former ratings and bought this system, and I'm really glad I did!!!It sounds superb, the base and treble adjustment are perfect, looks great and gives out as much bang and quality as my $600 home theatre system.My iRiver loves its new pairing and is allowed to fully bloom at last!!Buy this system and you'll not be disappointed - I thought about shelling out the extra for the silver ones but who cares, the white finnish is great. The only thing that should have been more accesable is the power button as you have to grope between the wires on the back but don't let this put you off at all, it's more than livable.The volume controls are very clever too, no knobs or buttons, somehow it adjusts when you hold your finger over the up or down sensor pad on one of the satelites :-)

This little system has great sound. The bass really is amazing. Also it glows green underneath in the dark, kind of cool. I would recommend this product for small to medium spaces.

I got mine about a month ago the first set I got were defective but i'm guessing someone purchase them ruin them and returned. Anyway went back to the store exchanged for a new set, couple them with my cheap dell and even with this lousy sound card in my lousy dell the creatures work great in fact I'm enjoying some classic rock as I type this comment, great set love them and highly recommend.By the way we all shall post our comments on any and all products we buy, I always research things I'm planning to buy and yes I make my decision based on other consumers experiences, so keep posting good or bad it's all important.

These are small form speakers designed for a mixture of Film and music. They are the best looking and sounding speakers you will get in this price range. You get what you pay for and with these speakers, forty to fifty dollars is a very small price to pay for the sound you get. Just consider that these speakers will not blow you away with clarity. They are for easy listening through medium loud sound. Not for gaming though.

This product may look good, but as soon as i got it and hooked it up, i noticed a terrible hissing noise from the left satellite. It's only tolerable if i keep it on low volume.I was totally disappointed with this system.

Very good sound for very small price.Bass and treble control is very useful.Suits mp3 player and computer perfectly.Only (minor) problem: not portable (works on AC current and a bit heavy)
