A great phone
I ordered this phone due to the great reviews that it had. I've had Samsung phones previously and am not very techie but due to the price of this phone I decided to give it a go. I can't review it thoroughly as I have no idea how to use most of it. Ive downloaded the manual which is extremely long and ive not read most of it to date. I've managed to add my contacts and make calls and send text messages. I also managed to set up my email account so that I can access my emails. I am still struggling with working out how to answer incoming calls but that's my fault because I haven't read the manual. Ive set up the fingerprint recognition and find it easy to use. I've also used the camera but only to take very basic photos. Again I need to study the manual or remember to take my glasses with me when I want to take photos. Again that's me not the phone.
My niece has this phone and she loves it but unfortunately lives to far away from me to educate me.
The battery life is excellent. The volume is great. I never have any problem hearing the caller even without using loud speaker. It's early days for me with this phone but I don't regret buying it and I'm sure it'll be even better when I learn to use it properly. It seems to be able to do so much. Ive not used face recognition hence no stars given.

Great phone!
Love this phone. Just switched from Samsung Galaxy 8 as I don't want the curved screen anymore which is impossible to protect, and I can't afford the latest Samsung flat screen model. This phone is fantastic and there are no downsides to my swap at all, in fact the fingerprint reader is way more accessible and responsive, the wide angle camera is amazing, and I love the colour and feel of the handset. Once you get over the loss of familiarity of a brand like Samsung or whatever, you quickly realize this is a fantastic choice at a great price. I'm a convert! Very pleased. Battery life is also great.

Great phone but zero app access
Right. First off this is a lovely phone, great hardware and lovely camera.
OK, it's too large for your pocket like every other phone on the market right now but I can't knock a star off for that because every phone company doesn't understand human pocket sizes right now so it would be unfair to specifically penalise Huawei.
That said, it has ZERO access to the Play store or the Amazon store. This means that you get NO USEFUL APPS unless you don't speak English and want a weird foreign store with unknown apps in it. The only app I've managed to get which is commercially available that I want is WhatsApp. No banking apps, no ebay, no amazon, nothing.
The only way to get access to an app is through a weblink on your phone desktop to your browser. This is tolerable but not what you'd choose if you knew this before you bought the phone. Then again it's £200 less than a decent Samsung phone so perhaps it's acceptable but I knocked 3 stars off for this. I tried downloading and installing the apk's for the other stores - it simply doesn't work.
This phone regained 1 star because this is the first phone company I've come across which provides live support through the phone if you need it which I have used twice and it's very handy.

Buy this phone and you wont regret it
I decided to change my old and terrible iphone 7 for this phone and honestly I can not be happier with the purchase! The battery life and the camera is the best thing ive ever seen in my life and the size of the phone is just perfect! Im never using other phone im gonna stick with haweii if it doesn't give me problems in the future.
Ive only had the phone for a day so cant really say much more I still need to discover some more things.
The only annoying thing is sometimes i get pop up adverts in google chrome but I Think I managed to block them!!
Dont waste your money or your time buy this phone and u wont regret

Very impressed with this phone
Phone delivered 2 days early. Very impressed with it. Easy to set up and to transfer contacts photos etc from old phone and easy to use. I can't compare the camera on the phone to the Samsung galaxy or iPhone because I have never owned 1 but the camera on this phone is very good, much better than on my old phone which cost about the same. Facial recognition works most of the time but fingerprint recognition is difficult to set up and use. Would definitely recommend. Good value for money.

Must buy for the price!
This phone IS AWEEESOME FOR THE PRICE. I got the peacock blue p30 lite for £180. The phone has great battery life. I can play games and it will genuinely last for a long time (ofc will vary from people and typea of games and apps they use). The fingerprint scanner is instant! Like no lag when using it. The face rec is decent too, I prefer the fingerprint but I use both and they both good. The phone looks sexy as hell too. But its a fingerprint magnet, so buy a clear case in addition since UK models dont get cases. And oo charges really fast too.
It does have a tiny amount of lag when there are lots of apps open but its only 4gb and ONLY for £180 its a no brainer. Obviously, there more expensive phones will be better no doubt, but this will do everythinf you want. And it has google play services too.
Will update this review if anything changes.

P30 Lite review
This review is for the Huawei P30 Lite 2019
The build quality of the phone is excellent, I wasn't expecting a premium look and feel for the price.
The screen is fantastic, vivid and extremely clear.
On using thee phone, apps runs super smooth, no lag or stutters at all you really would think this phone costs many hundreds of pounds if you didn't know the price.
Multi tasking is easy, even half n half screen like YouTube and Facebook at the same time no stutters nolag.
Internet WiFi is strong with not one issue.
Loads of storage 128gb always great.
Games look very colourful and run perfectly.
Videos look amazing.
Camera is in a league of its own for this price point.
Now the big question does this phone lose play store after updating to android 10? Not this phone is not affected by the Google services restriction only the P40 onward doesn't have play store so you're totally safe with the p30 lite 2019.
And it Has a standard headphone socket!!!

Really worth it, 2 nd sim card not working!
Everything is perfect price and all, just really lovely, but battery life is really bad considering its a new phone, i had honor 8x and battery somehow was lasting longer for me.
Other than that this phone is really good, lovely camera and everything works perfectly.
REASON IVE CHANGING MY REVIEW!
dual sim card option is not working!!! Its not on the system, there is slot for 2nd sim card but its not working! Ive tried ang googled all the options, its simply not there and god knows why, for people who need to use 2 sim cards, dont waste your time buying this phone

Really incredible
Really incredible phone, especially for the price. I feel like my phone does everything the newer iPhones or Huawei flagships do which is really impressive. The battery lasts well unless you're constantly using it or have apps that are running in the background etc. Everything seems to be great, a lot of storage, runs multiple things with ease and the camera quality is perfect for me. (Based off using it for 2+ months)

Great if upgrading from a low spec phone
After a year of using the Motorola e5 play (a basic but decent phone) I decided to splash out a bit more money but didn't want to break the bank. Bought myself a sim free Huawei p30 lite from amazon and have been impressed so far. Excellent display, very clear... Not as vivid as some high end phones I've used in the past but then this isn't a high end price. The fingerprint reader is excellent, very quick and responsive. Sound quality is a little poor due to mono speaker but OK with earphones. The camera is OK, not outstanding, but perfectly acceptable for the cost of the phone. Storage capacity is 128gb and expandable via micro sd card should you need it. The look and build quality is pretty solid. Overall a great phone if you're migrating from a low spec model but this model reveals its limitations with extended use. A solid 7 out of 10!

Good phone for price
Good brand, cheap version phone. All as described, fingerprint and face recognition works perfectly. Screen is brigt, battery last all day for my use easily. Opens all aps quickly, gps operates perfect. Sound quality is ok. Not the best headset, but shouldn't expect earbuds for that price of phone. Ordered another one for my wife.

Good Phone
Nicely designed phone I believe this replaces the P20 PRO as the features and spec are very similar but better and nicer to hold.
Decent enough and priced very well. If your a fan of android then this is for you. If your looking for spec this will not go out of trend for a few more years it does alot that most up to date phones have and do.
I'm a p20 pro user and brought the p30 lite as a gift and it actually feels and looks awesome and for the price I'm considering of going for the handset myslef. Very equipped and comes with a 128gb drive which is really good and the camera is Superb compared to others.

Not bad at all !!!
Despite all those with: no no to Huawei I can say that this device is really good, has a camera taking good pictures with 64MP AI quad camera which is sufficient for human noticing about 8MP, had 5G connectivity which bring you up to 360MB/s download (about 20 second a 2GB movie) sadly not wireless charging, but quick charging make it all up for it.
Physical fingerprint scanner which I prefer.
GooglePlay does not support this phone but I personally have all application required: from home banking to smart home...
Precisely very accessible, works in 5G network and 4G network with dual SIM simultaneously, has 128GB ROM, also plenty space for GBits of music and GBits of pictures and 4K movies, plenty of space is stil left for other things after I was done with it🤗

Excellent phone, regardless of price.
I am not a heavy phone user, predominantly using it for the Internet, my bank and keeping track of my shares when I am out and about; so I doubt I really am testing this phone.
Pros:
- Beautiful screen. Crisp and vivid.
- Camera is fantastic. (plenty of compliments from other people with more expensive iPhones)
- Quick processor, recognises face and fingerprints quickly.
- Keyboard easy to use
- Good quality in phone calls. (previous Nokia was shocking on loudspeaker)
- Plenty of space for SD upgrades.
- Quick charge: pretty much charges from 1% - 100% in 1hr 20 mins.
Cons:
- Battery life - have to charge every day pretty much from new.
- Possible new updates from android / Google. (not a problem for me but for others possibly)
- Speaker isn't as clear and loud as previous Samsung I have owned. It's location at the bottom of the phone does not help.

Already comes fitted with a screen protector.
The phone is excellent as this is the second one that I have purchased, although I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't state anywhere on the description that it already has a screen protector fitted. Basically I've ended up buying a screen protector when there was no need for it on both occasions. Only after it was delivered and fixed on I did a Google search just to check, and ALL Huawei phones come with a screen protector as standard, which is actually better than the ones available online because it is that hard to notice due to the excellent fit. I've now got a screen protector fitted over the top of another screen protector, which I suppose gives extra protection but in the end is really a waste of money.

Caution: No Google Software
A really nice looking, good quality device that works exactly like the other Huawei (P9 Lite) that i needed to replace but with better quality hardware EXCEPT Huawei devices apparently no longer come with access to the Google Play store.
I have found ways around this by adding some website shortcuts to the homescreen to replace the apps that aren't available (of which there seem to be many (Insta, BBC & Sky news, etc). However, can't seem to access Amazon Prime Video or Netflix at the moment.
The phone seems to be great quality and I think I'll survive without the apps, but do hope the Huawei installed App store gets up to speed ASAP

Great phone
I’m really happy with this phone. The icons at the top of screen, ie, showing battery power, signal etc are a bit hard to see as quite small (maybe it’s my eyes) and I can’t find an option to increase size slightly. Not a big issue at all. Really happy with the camera and it’s features. I’d a Moto G phone previously, have had iPhones but I prefer this. 128gb memory is great. Last phone only had 16gb and kept telling me to delete stuff. Transferred all my photos, apps etc over. Happy overall and have been using it since start of March.

It's NOT DUAL SIM
I just got my second phone in three days, the first one kepts giving a network error, never recognized any of my sim cards. Returned because it was faulty.
Second one is going to be returned tomorrow. This time the network worked fine but it's not DUAL SIM, it doesn't read the second card and you don't have an option to choose it on the settings.
Although is a nice phone, very fast and light. Really pleasant to see, great screen and the battery last more than other similar phones with the same features.

Useless. Can't download any apps!
Seriously rated the P30 and after trashing it, needed a replacement with dual sim. Couldn't find a P30, so went for this. Everything that was compatible with the P30 is not available/compatible with this one... essentially I have gone back to basics with a fancy-looking handset. I use it for calls and pictures only. Texts don't work. Facebook messanger crashes as soon as you opening it. Volume turns itself on and off. Avoid.

Really good phone
This is an awesome phone! For the price this is a great deal. The finger print being at the back makes sense so you can open and grab the phone same time, ultra power saving mode is awesome feature and the battery seems to last forever. Its a little on the big side coming form IPhone 7, otherwise really good and it's fast too 128gb space as well👌🏿

my black Huawei P30 Lite 128 GB 6.15 inch FHD and i'm well impressed with it abit annoying first imputing your finger print but did it eventually arthritis in both hands so I cant straighten my fingers..I would recommend it ,google a bit of a pain imput your emailthen your password then it don't recognise that fgs happy though

Disappointed
Had to send this back I think it was a refurbished or re-used mobile phone, as the original seals were broken and covered with new black seals, you could see the original seals under the black seal and it did not come in a cellophane wrapper all mobile phone boxes come cellophane wrapped. and all the contents inside the box were moving when I shaked it, usually the bits and pieces should be placed in little compartments inside the box to avoid scratching the mobile phone, Most disappointed as I needed a mobile phone pretty urgent.
