There is a great 3D panoramic view shot on the camera although my pictures are a lot lighter than the real thing so maybe there is a setting I haven't found yet, my sunsets are quite pale in comparison to my Samsung phone photos.
The face recognition is ok, a bit hit and miss, if the lighting is different it struggles to recognise me, but you can put in a code if this doesn't work. The fingerprint was more difficult, it took ages to read mine properly (could have been my fault though) but after 2 days of setting it up and lots of frustrating backwards and forwards emails with security codes, it is now set up beautifully and I am very pleased with it, This would probably be the case of any phone setting up the security codes though.
I am just waiting for my phone cover to arrive, I opted for the glass one as the colour of my phone is far too nice to cover completely, I got the blue one.
As you can tell, I am not a techie type person so found some things fiddly to set up, but I am very happy with it, value for money for sure. I am not a big phone user so didn't want to pay a lot for the latest gadgets, half or more, of which I would never use, photos, texts and a couple of games is all I use it for, so I am happy with it all.

Finest phones....
Roll on the Huawei Operating System...to kick Google's ASS!

I am so pleased with this purchase. It has plenty of memory, a good display and the rear 'triple' camera is absolutely fantastic.
The P30 Lite is surely comparable with other mobiles costing much more. At £182, this must be considered a bit of a bargain.
Its a "factory" SIM Free UK device so there are no nasty and annoying telecom logos or additional 'bloatware'. The power adapter has the correct UK 3-plug and the screen comes ready fitted with a screen protector (albeit not tempered glass). I wish all manufacturers would do that!
The mobile auto updated to EMUI (Android) 10 on first power up. I then used Huawei Phone Clone to move data from the old to this new mobile.
It did a reasonable job though about 20% of the APPs didn't copy (probably due to the change in Android version). So, it took about an hour to manually download and install the missing APPs. The good news was that device set up (eg. WiFi settings, contacts, screen layout) did copy across.
I use a slim case and a wireless charging card. Wireless charging works fine and is reasonably quick.
I also added a 128gb micro SD card - so I have plenty of space.
I don't play many games on a mobile but everything I have tried works smoothly and well. Video playback is excellent.
I have a Huawei Matebook D 14 2020 laptop so I am able to use 'Huawei Share' to connect to and control this mobile. Its great when working at home.
If I wanted to be harsh, I could say that battery life could be a tad better. That said, it easily lasts a day and has improved after a couple of full charges - I just bung the mobile on my wireless charger when I go to bed.
Overall, I am very chuffed and rather pleased....

The Huawei P30 lite cost me £205 including a case and screen protectors. It's impressive looking right out of the box. The weight feels good and the phone feels sturdy and premium. The back of the peacock blue model is stunning and the screen is crisp, bright and has excellent definition. The phone was intuitive to set up and as easy to use as my Samsung in operation. The fingerprint scanner hasn't let me down once. I haven't had chance to really test the camera extensively but I can say it takes the best quality pictures of any phone I've had to date. There are no issues with access to Google products with this phone as it comes with play store, maps and all the expected apps. I really researched this phone before purchasing and you don't sacrifice much performance for the price tag. The foremost difference
compared to the flagship phones is the water and dust resistance and premium screen materials. I've had the phone 2 weeks and have no negative points to raise. I'm thoroughly Impressed and happy with my purchase.

However, and this is a BIG one, it doesn't have the Google play store or any other Google services! Ok, this is partly unfortunate cause it is due to the current USA/China issues and I don't expect them to openly advertise it on the product description cause nobody would buy it. But honestly, in this time and age, a phone is useless without Google! The Huawei App is an absolute joke at this point. It doesn't have half of the Apps I use and have already paid yearly subscriptions on (myfitnesspal, downdog, gymondo, citymapper, clue and the list goes on and on...). Meaning that this phone is absolutely useless to me! I can't even seel it cause nobody would knowingly buy a phone without Google Play! I am so disappointed. I hope they either up their game and make the Huawei app as good as Google Play or get a way to get Google Play. At this point, £250 completely gone to waste.

For anyone who is waiting for their headphones, you will need to register on the Huawei website (23 May till some date in July).

The internal memory size + expandable external memory, screen resolution and screen size is wonderful for downloading movies for a long flight
The camera is great in full sunlight and also in low light too, great for holiday pic on the beach but also landscape/ scenery
So far nothing bad

Edit- I've had this phone for a few months and it's still great. No problems with memory or anything. It's a fab phone

I returned it straight away and it's now been 12 days and no sign of a refund or even a confirmation that they've received my returned package. What is going on??? I ordered at the very start of December and now it looks like I won't even have the phone by Christmas.
Phone is the same price as in store so will definitely buy in store from now on.

You can't edit a video in its gallery. I can't believe this. Now i respect samsung s10e. The little things i used to underrate. You can't edit a simple video anywhere on this phone unless maybe you install an app which i didn't try.
If you use instagram, this phone is not good for loading, it makes the IGTV videos out of diameter. But when i used my samsung, it's perfect.
You know like samsung has the search option on the emoji box, this one doesn't. You have to scroll through and get what you are looking for but on my samsung i can search the emojis and type in, for example, pointing, and all the pointing fingers up and down and left and right will pop up and i choose which one i want.
And then, some of the apps i transferred to it which are not even samsung specific won't work on it.
These are the few i've discovered. I'm pretty sure there are many more flaws. It can't beat samsung. Not even the cheapest samsung galaxy!
Now the things i like about it are the fact that it has a tiny glowing light like samsung galaxy s6 when you have missed calls or messages. The screen is big and typing is sweet and auto corrections are made so perfectly. Camera is definitely better than the samsung s10. It has it's on dedicated thing like samsung so it has its own step counter, voice recorder, etc. I prefer using it to surf than my samsung 10e.
I got the 250GB one so ample storage cos i do a lot of videos and music. One thing you will definitely enjoy on this fone is typing which is what attracted me in the first place, not knowing it's a crappy fone, sort of.
The call page has a lot of features samsung doesn't have, like notes, calender, hold call, add, mute. Samsung doesn't have notes and calender. This fone has speed dial too though i don't use it. Every other thing is fine. It connects to my bluetooth in the car and to my Bose sounds 20 and 30 series and bluetooth earpieces tho it took some time before we got to that 🙄. Quite tall, i think it's 6.2inches. This phone will be very good for someone who just wants to make calls and maybe send whatsapps and surf internet. If you want to use it for more complax runs like you do music or more demanding task, this fone will frustrate you. I won't recommend for you. I will look for a better fone with better music player functions. There's nothing interactive about this fone, everything is kinda annoying. Well, i shoud have known that £250 phone wasn't gonna be that great.
