- + Объем(не толстоват из-за объема), скорость передачи данных, скорость вращения шпинделя, кэш.
- - если только греется чуть сильнее штатного харда. а так, пока все ок., пользуюсь более 1,5...

- + Малошумный, 16 мегабайт кэш, 7200 об/мин, датчик падения.
- - Похрустывание при парковке головки.
По совету знакомых приобрел взамен 250 гигабайтной модели. 7200 об/мин против 5400 об/мин...

I would stand corrected by myself. I now believe that the HD ignites a fan when it warms up and the fan was making the noise all along. When the unit is not warm the drive is quiet. I could even improve on that if I wanted, bought a shosk absorbing material from Edmund Scientific instead of what appears rubber insulator. So please disregard the rest I had written, and apologize if I had negatively influenced anyone.I have just installed 2 of these drives into my Pavilion dv9000.Yesterday I was in the other room, and suddenly my wife (who is a good woman and knows zill about computers) came afte me running telling me that something was wrong because my laptop was giving a strange sound, just like previously when the HD was beginning to scare me, that it was about to die. I was sleepy so I shut it off.Today - first day I am using it, - and all I am wondering is, that how long can I put up with this? They are about as loud as my desktop (but closer to my ears...) . My desktop has about 8 fans 5 hard drives, etc. This seems simply unbearable. Like watching a film on a truck...Now apparently this is when they are running to do something. When they are relaxed, then it has a middle strong state, and then it goes totally quiet. So if you are buying this to do absolutely nothing, than you are in luck. Also if you are over 80, and can lower the volume on your hearing aid.Since I have 2 of these new drives, I was able to verify that both are equally screaming so this is not one defective unit. Still amazed by the number of defective ears out there.George

Highly recommend this drive. I am so happy I did this to extend the life of my Dell Inspiron-1525 notebook, which is now faster than ever besides swimming in free space. It even boots twice as fast as before. Easy upgrade if you purchase the "Apricorn EZ-UP-UNIVERSAL EZ Upgrade Universal Notebook Hard Drive Upgrade Kit"(I got mine at www.amazon.com)

Well lets see,7200RPMSata 3.0GBPs interface in a notebook320GB16mb cacheThis little beast is the next best thing to getting an SSD. I find SSDs premature because they are limited in writes and even though it is a large number, it will be easily filled within a year. This is placed in my HP dv7-1270us. It fits into the caddy perfectly without a problem. It came in antistatic wrap surrounded by bubble wrap to hold it. The FreeFall sensor is only available in the BJKT suffix in their Black line of notebook drives. The HP ProtectSmart inside my laptop is a gimmick.The performance is very fast of course. Copying from the previous drive in eSATA mode got around 70-90MB/s write speed. Loads Windows 7 build 7100 within 25 seconds literally. This sped up my vLiting and other intense write speeds by at least making it 20 minutes quicker. The FreeFall sensor ACTUALLY works, not a marketing gimmick in other competing hard drives. I made it copy 7GB worth of ISOs just for the heck of it and when I purposely crouched myself and the laptop as if I was dropping it, the write on the screen paused after the 200ms and resumed within 2 seconds like normal. It won't quit out on you in the middle. Lets say you dropped the machine while you are copying large files, once your laptop is on the floor, the files will continue like normal without a hitch! Amazing!!! I have owned this for 2 months and it works great. Loading a library of 20,000+ songs encoded in FLAC takes no more than 5 seconds in Winamp. Loading the songs into the drive took about 45 minutes and 1 minute to add to the library in Winamp. This drive actually gave me 15 minutes more battery life than the stock Fujitsu in both idle and being used. HP ProtectSmart doesn't recognize this but who needs it when they got the SecurePark and the FreeFall sensors built in?

I picked up this hard drive to replace the hard drive on my laptop when I upgraded to Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade. At first, I was concerned that this hard drive wouldn't fit - there's always that worry in the back of your head.Imagine my surprise when I openned up my laptop and it turned out that what it had from the factory was an 80GB Western Digital Scorpio 5400rpm. This Scorpio black was the same size as that hard drive and all the fittings were exactly the same.Replacement was a snap. It took 5 minutes and was loading Windows 7 onto it about 10 minutes later. Perfect!This Scorpio Black is Western Digital's high end hard drive for laptops and has a freefall sensor that will park the drive if the hard drive or the laptop it's installed into should be dropped.If you're worried about fit, this Scorpio Black is standard sized and if you're wondering, open up your laptop's hard drive caddy (should only be 1 screw on most laptops) --- if you have my luck, chances are that you already have a Western Digital in there.Overall, I'm ecstatic about having a Scorpio Black for my laptop.If you own a laptop, don't skimp out - get this drive! I'm buying another for my other laptop! That's how much I like this drive.Fantastic!

Fast. Works perfectly in a early 2010 MacBook pro. Does NOT get hot. I can only hear it in a quiet room with nothing else happening...besides that...don't hear it. I'd buy again
