Good solid performing monitor we got with a new PC. It's big enough for my hubby to view pages side by side, and for me to see easily with visual impairment.

You will not find a better deal for 1080p. It's a great monitor, it looks good, and its performed well. I have really enjoyed the larger screen for my laptop. And now I have the option to dual screen for homework. I wish the tilt had a bit more range, but overall it's been fine. It wass very easy to assemble as well.

The value for this monitor was the best that I could find. The one problem that I have with this monitor is the lack of adjust-ability in height.

Decent enough quality display on this monitor, but it failed after 18 months. I did NOT buy this from Amazon (but I am buying the replacement from Amazon and not another HP!). The place I bought it warrantied the computer for 24 months and the monitor for 12 months (part of a bundle that didn't make that very clear). Sounds like HP knew something about the monitor that I didn't! Expensive monitor to only last 18 months.

I have the 22" HP Monitor for work. My husband has been squinting using his laptop screen. I plugged his laptop into my monitor to show him how the larger screen will help him become more productive and efficient. Now I can't get him off my monitor, so I purchased this monitor for him (maybe I will take the new one). The HP quality have never let me down and the sleek design of their monitor is a plus. This is a keeper!

This is a great monitor and has good ratings in CNET too. It's coming with all the required components. It doesn't have any USB ports. But light weight and thin, this is super awesome for the money I spent.

For the price this is a very nice item although I was somewhat concerned having never purchased a monitor via mail order. It arrived undamaged and was packaged extremely well.Set up was a breeze, plug and play and your on your way. It took me considerably more time to unpackage the unit that to hook it up.The images on the screen are very sharp and the colors vibrant. Recommended.

Can't complain about these monitors. Great picture. When purchasing just be aware of the cables you need it does come with cables but if you the dual monitor set-up like me you will need to purchase an extra cord recommend HDMI.

I bought this monitor from Amazon and used it for couple months now. I have to say, this is by far one of the best monitor I have used. Obviously if you are looking for 3D monitor or 120 Hz monitor this is not your monitor. This monitor is a traditional 60 Hz monitor at 1920 x 1080 (1080p). Here is what I have to say about it,Pro* Affordable price.* Lightweight.* Plug n Play.* LED makes it bright and energy efficient.* Has four modes to select from: text, movie, pictures, and games.* Has many options for tweaking.* Excellent color reproduction.* Accepts VGA, DVI, and HDMI connection.Con* Lack of USB hub.* Lack of built in stereo speaker.* Lack of DisplayPort support.Overall score: 5/5Three cons I have listed are simply features I would like to see. Having them would make this HP monitor even more stand out to competitors.

The LG 2311 X 23" (HP) is a great computer monitor for the price. My wife was unable to play her games on the monitor we had purchased years ago. With the higher screen resolution she is able to play her game. A happy wife is a happy life. Would recommend this monitor to my friends...

It is an absolute shame that HP has decided to take a giant step backwards in their monitor development by removing VESA mounting as an option for their new monitors. My older 2310 monitors are great and they are mounted on a VESA arm mounting system but this is no longer an option with the 2311 generation of monitors. Good luck trying to find 2310s - they appear to be sold out everywhere.I checked several of the new HP monitors of different sizes and none of the new models that I found appear to be VESA compatible. I guess HP must not be interested in the computer enthusiast market.HP monitors are still some of the best looking monitors in the business. But - if I can't mount them on VESA then I will not be using them. Very disappointed.

My first experience with HP/Compaq was a laptop that I invested so much money and trust in it. After 6 months the wireless card died. After two years the mother board died. I discovered that HP stopped supporting that product and wouldn't honor warranties for items purchased in other countries. SO much for HP's so called "world wide support". Absolute BS.I vowed never to buy a HP again. But years passed by and I came across what I thought was a good deal for HP 2311x LED monitor. It was on sale in Fry's. I was kind of attracted by its sleek design (so stupid). Just a week before I had received a Viewsonic LCD monitor from Buy.com. I jumped on the HP deal and returned the Viewsonic.Now I am writing this review on my DELL laptop with the HP monitor sitting on the floor. Suddenly today it stopped working. I connected the VGA output of my laptop to the monitor and all I see is a white screen. Connected to my Sony Blu ray player. It seemed to work fine on the HDMI until I decided to switch back between VGA and HDMI. Now both inputs have a white screen.Now its been 2 months I have had this monitor. So I wanted to check the warranty on HP site. Guess what ? The Serial# and Product# was not recognized.Thank you HP. Now I will never again throw my money at you!

This is an excellent monitor at any price. It has superb resolution and is trouble-free like most HP products. I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants a larger size in their viewing screen. I don't see how anyone can give it only one star. This product is aces in my book!

I bought this monitor from Staples when it was on sale around this thanksgiving. The setup was easy. However I didn't get any video/signal from hdmi; video from vga works just fine, but my primary reason for buying this monitor was to get the video output from the hdmi port.called HP tech support twice to resolve the issue, both times it wasn't helpful at all. The tech person was reluctant to offer any good help, he mention about some kind of paid tech support since my computer isn't hp. I told him since I just bought this monitor why should I pay for the tech support.basically when I connect the hdmi cable from my computer to the monitor, the monitor keeps on cycling on searching for signal, saying "no single". however, when I connect the hdmi cable is connected between the computer and the monitor, I do see second monitor, just no signal to the monitor screen.I even tried hooking up the hdmi cable from my new bluray play, same result.What annoyed me was the unsupportive tech support. At the end of the hour long call, the tech guy said he would call me with answer the next day, I didn't get any call from HP, such a disappointment. HP you're better than this!

I bought this monitor at Best Buy for $179.99 as a replacement to an old Acer monitor. I wanted something with a higher resolution for gaming - the old monitor had a resolution of 1650x1080.When I brought the 2311x home, however, I found that it simply wasn't a good as I'd hoped. This monitor pushes towards blue by default and even after calibration still showed a notable blue tinge in whites. It's not really something you can tell unless you have another monitor to compare it to. I also found the 2311x did not have great black level performance. It simply doesn't become dark enough to provide a great experience when watching movies.Also, this is a 16:9 monitor rather than 16:10 used by older widescreens. Having used the 2311x, I found I didn't like the 16:9 aspect ratio. It's too narrow vertically for document editing.If you don't have much experience with monitors you may find this to be sufficient or even great. However, I couldn't stand it, and I ended up returning it. I did what I should have done in the first place and spent about $160 more for a Dell 2412M, which is dramatically superior.

I have an 3 year old 22" CFL backed lcd 1680x1050 monitor which worked great for me, but I rather have an 1080p monitor. After seeing this monitor on sale on another site for a price that I can't refuse, I brought it.The monitor came in and the monitor was very sleek. It has vga, dvi and hdmi connections but only comes with vga and dvi cables. Even though it has an hdmi connection, it does not have integrated speakers, so I would not plug in your xbox or ps3 on this unless you don't want to use it without sound.I have brought and used led backed laptop and TV screens and I never had much complaints about the screen until I brought this monitor. The display is kind of blueish and it is just too white. Even other lcd monitors that I had the backlight diffused into the screen so it does not glare so much. You can tone down the blue-ness by configuring the color level but the I still have the glaring white-ness that I didn't have before.I guess if I had a choice for my next monitor whether it is an lcd or led backed I would probably choose an lcd despite it uses more energy than an led backed one.

the HP 2311x 23-inch LED monitor is a great computer monitor has a great picture, but the last years model the HP 2310x 23-inch LED monitor was a much better product the 2311 has a slower response time and no audio out plug.

I purchased this item to be used with my macbook pro. I had used a previous hp monitor with the computer, and was very pleased. This time no amount of tweaking could produce a good image. The text was blurry and colors were awful. After an hour + on the phone with HP, I decided to return it. Won't go back to HP for nothing.

I bought this monitor to replace my old monitor which was smaller. this monitor came in and is HUGE which is great. works for my computer, but HDMI wont work for my xbox. the biggest reason i got this monitor is because it had and hdmi port so i could play my xbox on it. previously i playing it on a horrible tv. i tried replacing my NEW hdmi cable for another NEW hdmi cable, no luck. so i plugged my xbox into another tv's hdmi port and it working just fine. in all product is great. sharp picture. great display and size. hdmi port didnt work
