Works as it's supposed to.
Great product, works the way it is supposed to on my boiler system. I replaced both of mine which went out, after living in this home for 6 yrs and so no telling how old they were before we moved in. Heating company wanted $800 to replace one, so I found them here and 4 bolts later saved who knows how much for both.

This is a great pump for the price
This is a great pump for the price. I replaced another Grundfos model that was manufactured in 2003 and finally went out when it ran dry when my well was down and in need of repair. I wanted to point out my disappointment in the quality of the plastic used to house the electrical components and wiring. My new unit arrived damaged beyond use because of the cheap flimsy and brittle plastic the manufacturer uses. I was able to salvage the new pump by switching out the electrical box from the old unit I was replacing, so user beware.

Heavy duty, quiet pump!
I love this pump! Only 25 watts and virtually silent! Others have mentioned that it gets hot. Well, what do you think would happen if you have 120 deg water running through it? My only personal downside is that after I installed a good ¾" hot water return line, I actually have good gravity flow, so my hot water lines are staying warm (over 85 deg), even with the pump off. tip: I recommend either letting it run all the time or installing a timer since the aqua stat switch I installed never goes below 85 deg on my return line to run the pump. I recommend this pump, which is much less expensive than the one with the built in timer. I simply got a $10 plug-in timer for it. Easier to set up and if the timer fails, the pump is still good.

Replaced its predecessor like magic minus a couple issues
Dear Vendor: Please provide the correct picture. Use mine if you have to.
This pump was purchased to replace its 1999 vintage predecessor. It let off a burnt rubber smell and ceased functioning after 21 hard working years. The old product number was 59896163 (blue) and this is the 59896155 (red). The model numbers matched (UP15-42F) as did all of the other specifications. As you can see the original pump's housing has two small pipes connected to a pressure differential switch.
The burnt out unit was removed. The opening was cleaned and the new pump fits perfectly.
This is easily worth 5 stars, but I'm removing one because that picture is wrong. Also, the screws that hold the electrical cover to the body seemed too long for their holes and I ended up zip tying it.
The fact the original blue portion could be leveraged saved a lot of gaskets, wrenches and headaches.

Good product, nice price
Perfect replacement for my failed motor. Like others, I noticed brown discoloration of the water after its installation which I not noticed before. However, I think it likely that the hot water tank, which is 18 years old, is rusty. This pump was one quarter the price of the stainless steel version, which was the only one available locally.

Hot water re-circ to keep from freezing
I installed this a year ago to re-circulate hot water when the cabin temperature drops below freezing. I also installed an electric valve to keep hot from flowing into cold under normal use. So far, this has worked perfectly. The flanged water connections make it easy to install or remove.

works great
I replaced an old version of this pump, which incidentally had been installed incorrectly. The motor shaft should be mounted in a horizontal position, the one installed in the home I recently purchased had been installed vertically, and the pump made a lot of noise. I installed the new one correctly, and placed it on a timer, works like a charm and is very quiet. You will need the flange set, the pump includes only the O rings.

Great if you want rust in your water from the first week
I started seeing rust in my hot water after a few days of this being installed. This is what the interior looks like after two months of service. I consider it worse than trash. Trash comes cheep. This not so much.

Great product, easily repaces older unit
I had the older model of this unit installed for almost 20 years, and it finally failed. I installed this newer model replacement in about 10 minutes, could not have been easier. Tip: When you go to pull your old pump out after removing the flange bolts that hold it to the pipes, support the top water pipe before pulling out the pump unit. The water pipe was likely sweated into position with the pump already present, so the pump is taking a the weight of the pipe. When you pull the unit, be sure you don't let your water pipe collapse downward and break it's sweatted connections. Also, tighten the bottom flange bolts first, then do the top set.

Doesn't match the pictured model
I bought this to replace my old ups15-58fc model. The main reason I chose this model is the exhaust screw in the center. I have another wilo pump with that screw, and last time it was stuck, I just turned the screw and fix the problem.
Unfortunately, what I received doesn't have that screw. The pictures in the product description are misleading. Just don't wanna bother to return it. But I think the seller/amazon should update the pictures.

We plumbed in a water loop to the farthest point ...
The pump or flange is rusting internally and causing the hot water to turn a brown color. We shut off the pump and closed the valves before and after the pump and the water is clear. Tried contacting customer service to try and resolve the issue, but they do not reply back. Poor customer service. I had purchased from them before, but never again. Went and purchased a Watts pump instead and the rust color went away..

Faulty Pump
Pump made high pitched squealing sound right out of box. Plumbstock has been very slow to respond to my request for a replacement pump. Recommend buying from a local distributer. Might be more $$, but a warranty return would be much easier and less expensive.

Exact replacement
Brand new condition, exact product match. So far so good. It was a quick and easy install. Just copied the previous units wiring. No leaks, I could barely hear it running. Only think on my part is that I should have considered buying a larger volume pump since we added more rooms with to the base board heat, but everything seems to be working. Hopefully this unit last as long as the last one (20yrs).

You can never go wrong with Grundfos pumps. I just replaced one this exact model that was 22 years old and the new one is built exactly the same way - to last. Durability and reliability that is built in like this is quite rare these days. It is more than worth the money. It even costs less than some of the competition.

Works fine BUT the only problem is that there's no way to tell if it's running. I had installed it and hooked it up but thought it wasn't working. So I tore it apart and found that it was actually running, but was so quiet that there's way to know.

Not a super brute pump as advertised failed within two months the manufacturer told me when I called for warranty told me not to buy there from Amazon because the manufacturer does not sell 3rd party . Amazon then agreed to take it back but I lost my return label and then could not print another for some reason so I emailed Amazon and they would not return my emails

Does the job.
Works great, not to loud, uses less power than my previous pump. Needs to be fitted to size of existing pump opening ,and you need flanges to mount if you old pump didn't have flanges .
