I mixed up screws.. nw looking for screws. Cld some one help me

Rough & Tough m'board can be used more time without any problem & disturbing.

The VRM indeed delivers quality, constant voltage at manageable heat levels. Overall, this board meets my needs. I have, however, been let down by its build quality. The retention clip on PCIE slot one cracked and fell off the board when I slotted my RTX 2080. Of the many issues that can crop up when building a new system, this was both unexpected and unique for me. I reached out to Gigabyte customer support in hopes they could just send me a new retention clip I could install. No such luck - the retention clip is not offered "to the general public." An RMA is my only option. Disassembling my system so I can send and await a replacement board is not really an option for me. Had the response been "sorry that happened - we'll overnight a replacement board with a return shipping box" I would have been quite pleased. The response I received was not what I expected for a board falling into the upper mid-range.
Lesson learned I guess.

Update: The release plastic pins at the slot 16x for graphics card is weak and they can break as one did; But if you are thoughfull and in my case I salvaged it, be aware that to release your graphics card you will need a long handled screw driver to push it down to release your graphics card...only real way to save the release pins. Bad design...but great motherboard. One more thing, in my previous computer I had to hold the delete key down to get into the BIOS, on this board you must tap the key to get into the BIOS. And it has a backup BIOS chip, and although you can not update it, it will allow you to restore the old BIOS, and then just update the BIOS and you back. It is a good thing. Also, be careful when upgrading motherboard with memory or other, you need to unplug the cord...because they use voltage on USB etc., and you can screw up stuff if you do not. I also noticed that my GTX 1080 SLI works better now and it does run 10 C cooler, which is really cool with better fps. And if you liked this review you will click the thumbs button.
Update 01-29-20 Motherboard is great. I have been updating bios now as it is easy with Q-bios. It is easy. I am running now on bios F10b.

To see if the bluetooth worked on motherboard And it did.

The VRMs have a great heatsink with a heatpipe, so VRMs stay cool. The board is heavy and well built. I returned an Asus Maximus XI Hero that had issues and got this instead. This board is a better value and has better power delivery. The only downside is the bios is a little bit less intuitive, but once you get everything set up it's not a big deal.

cpu mark score of 20352
cinebench r15 score of 1631 (stock got 1472)
Also getting 2 Mb/s more on WiFi download speeds with 50 Mb/s connection speed by using the on board antenna. Not sure what that's all about but it was a nice surprise.
if you want to get into the real technical details of this board watch buildzoid's videos on youtube.
all in all, gigabyte has the best VRM of the generation of boards, and the worst bios (not a big deal).

How's the board/bios compared to my previous experience with Asus? Well, my 9700k is clocked at 5.0ghz on every core, and it is sitting at 25-35c(using a kraken x62, and default paste as well) at side, and underload it NEVER goes above 65c. Pretty sure I hit the silicon lottery here(that's a first). The bios? It's fine. Is it an Asus bios? No, not at all. However, is it as bad as people make it out to be? Absolutely not, it's fairly easy and self explanatory. The RGB fusion works completely fine in my experience as well. So, overall I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Another thing: If you have Corsair RGB RAM, then it will also be detectable by Gigabyte's (awful) RGB software and cause conflicts. I've given up trying to get the mobo's RGB to do the thing I want (single static color), and have disabled it entirely so I can keep using iCUE. Gigabyte hasn't bothered to upgrade its libraries to include Z390 board support, so third party tools to manage RGB LEDs just don't work.
One thing that's worth mentioning: The BIOS is not too great, with everything stuck in a bunch of nested menus that aren't too easy to traverse (and duplicated info in places too). I sort of wish I had spent more to get an ASUS board with similar VRMs to make use of their new (and actually good) AI overclocking.

Some people complain about the BIOS but in my opinion is not that bad. When you think about it, if you are planning to get this high end mobo you should be able to work with any BIOS.
Overclocking - I have the i7 8700k with Corsair's H150PRO cooler and I am at 4.8GHz with temps in the ~68c during stress tests. During gaming my CPU sits around ~60c. I also OC my RAM from 2113MHz to 3200MHz and it runs perfectly and cool (haven't had a single BSOD). Worth mentioning that I did all this overclocking using the profiles that come pre-installed with the Mobo, it took me less that 5 minutes to OC my system.
Looks - I think the MOBO looks more clean that its predecessor Gaming 7 and the RGBs are not as invasive (imo). The gray/silver/black colors are generic enough to pretty much fit any theme you have going on with your rig so I was very happy about that. One bad thing might be the MOBO's status meter/display on the bottom of the mobo since you can't turn it off, but since the display is under my 1080ti EVGA GPU and I can't barely see it I really do not mind but be aware of this.
Software - Yes, I do have to agree that their software can be improved especially for the RGBs, took me a little while to set my Mobo colors the way I wanted. But if you are like me that have one same static color all the time, once you configured it you won't have to deal with it again.
Overall, this is a solid high end motherboard and if you are looking to do heavy gaming (like me) and a little bit of OC then this is your motherboard. If you are an OC enthusiast then you might want to look into the Master or Extreme editions of this mobo gen.

I installed some new parts: Intel i7-8700K on this, with a Corsair AOI, and Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 with my recycled parts: Soundblaster Z, Asus 1070, and various SHDDs, SDDs, and M2 SDDs. The board reset itself several times over the course of a few minutes, and then popped me right into the BIOS. I checked the settings and the Aorus had correctly detected all the drives, RAM settings, and CPU settings. Saved and exited, booted right into Windows 10. I installed the apps and drivers and it's been humming along ever since. Two weeks of gaming and streaming and no blips, bloops, or glitches.
Asus has become expensive for what they give you on their gaming boards. I think Gigabyte has won me over to the Aorus side.

So far I’m happy with this motherboard especially after seeing my boyfriends Asus board and to be honest his bios seemed more confusing but there are things I liked about his Asus.
This was my first experience with a motherboard and pc building. I could understand fairly easily where to connect everything since it’s labeled pretty good and was able to get my new pc up and running without any issues that I know of currently. It seems like everything is working great, temps and etc look normal. Building my first pc was challenging at times but I took my time (maybe too much time 😆) and had a good experience in the end. I’ll be sticking to building and upgrading my pc myself unless something makes me think otherwise. I’ll have to update after some time goes by but I’m hoping all is A-OK!! I would recommend this motherboard. 🙏
OTHER PLUS: Rgb, I downloaded the software to control the motherboards rgb and was able to change the colors and features easily (there was 6 different leds sections on the motherboard I could adjust). It looked awesome once I did this but I don’t have a case that’s open and would even show the motherboards pretty lights off so it’s not a huge priority for me to get more familiar with this feature quite yet.
CONS: Only con I can currently mention is some things get more challenging as a beginner to pc building. Learning how I should manage cooling/fans and if I should be adjusting anything is something I’m still learning. I did enable XMP but as a beginner it’s hard to know if I should be doing that. So as I mentioned I have learning to do :) currently, I have basically just connected all fans to my cpu and am using bios on auto/normal mode, I recently got the fan software and also have that on a normal mode and haven’t messed with any settings. I took my time building this pc and I did research a bit further online (videos and forums/guides) to make sure of some things I was doing like exactly where to put a m.2 NVMe ssd.
My build:
Gigabyte Auros Ultra Z390
i9 9900k
EVGA Ultra rtx 2070
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 (enabled XMP)
Noctua NH D15 CPU cooler
X3 Noctua 140 mm pmw case fans (connected to motherboard)
Samsung Evo Plus 970 - 500
Seagate HDD 2TB
Corsair RM750x PSU
Fractal Design Define R5 Black

Don't market your product as this awesome RGB solution when it's actually just one big RGB problem. In fact, don't market your product. Just give up. No one loves you any more.
Also, I bought the Gigabyte RX 590 Gaming 8G. Why? Because I can't control my motherboard RGB lighting scheme so I bought an orange GPU (the only good one I could find) to match the Aorus Ultra's orange color scheme which I can't change. So I had to get a GPU that matched the motherboard instead of matching the motherboard to my special edition Sapphire Nitro RX 580.
All the pictures of the RX 590 show it with an orange led light. I get it today. Plug it in. Boot it up.
Orange light! Yay! Oh, nope. It's cycling through the rainbow. It started with orange to screw with me.
So I install RGB Fusion 2.0. No control over GPU whatsoever.
So I install Gigabyte Xtreme Engine. Supposedly this is what I'm supposed to use to control my GPU's rgb. No control over LED lights whatsoever.
So I install three earlier versions of Xtreme Engine. No control over LED lights whatsoever.
So I install Aorus Graphics Engine. No control over LED lights whatsoever.
tl;dr: no control over gpu's led lights whatsoever.
So now I have to return this GPU, and buy a new motherboard and probably a new gpu. One thing for sure: neither of them will be made by Gigabyte.
Oh and my first Aorus Ultra was DOA. Replacement worked fine, apart from no real, workable support for RGB. You know, RGB being the reason you buy these Aorus boards in the first place.
Good night.
