right off the bat this mobo wouldn't "see" any of my SATA drives. Neither the HDD or the SDD. I DID see my BluRay reader/writer. but moving a drive there again, wouldn't be seen. Then it WOULD be seen, but not able to be boot from.
Turns out, this mobo is set from the factory to automatically use Intel's Optane memory. And if it doesn't see it, nada. You have to dig in, find the right menu (sub, sub, menu) choice and turn it to SATA AHCI.
I was finally able to get it to boot from a Windows 10 SSD, but it wouldn't boot from a Windows 7 SSD.
I gave it 3 stars because of the fact that it DID start up with Windows 10.
Could NOT get it to work with Windows 7! Windows would start 3 seconds later, reboot. Same thing if I tried "Safe Mode" it would load basic drivers for a few seconds, hang, and reboot.
I was able to get it to boot from, and use a UEFI Windows 10 Recovery DVD. But, after 4 hours of futzing this POS I couldn't get it to use either a Windows "Recovery" DVD or a Windows 7 "Installation" DVD. Several different DVDs, in fact. I could get it to boot to the DVD initial menu of choosing a US layout Keyboard, but at that point, the USB locked up. Neither mouse, nor keyboard were recognized. Changing USB menu options in the BIOS (UEFI) would either make the lights on the keyboard/mouse go out as soon as the DVD loaded, OR.. would leave the lights on, but made both the keyboard and mouse unresponsive. There were lights on, but nooobody home.
It also would not recognize my RAM, DDR4 3200. It recognized it as 2133. Now, that could be because my CPU, and Intel Core-i9700k was only clocked at 3.6GHz (natively). Or that I had to go into the submenus and figure out how to "overclock" it to the correct speed. I've never, ever had this problem with RAM. I buy a speed, plug it in, and it's seen as it's supposed to be. Whether DDR2 or DDR3, 4200, 6400, 12800, 1600, whatever, the mobo automatically picked the correct speed.
I think if you have Windows 10 (Maybe Windows H8 (that's pronounced HATE), you *might* get this to work. It has some menu choices for either Windows 8/10 or "other OS". Changing this made no difference.
In addition to having Windows 10, if you also have a love of digging into and trying to figure out cryptic motherboard choices, overclocks and lots of non-intuitive submenus.. then this is the mobo for you.
Not for me. I'm sending it back.
No, I would not recommend it UNLESS you have Windows 10, a LOVE of tiny sub, sub, sub menu choices and lots and LOTS of time. Not hours, but days or weeks!

The board this was to replace was an ASUS board. It died after about 7 years of moderate use. That is the first board that has actually died on me.

Cerró el caso y se la ha explicado claramente que no funciona el artículo

All the parts and documentation plus my Aorus sticker plate are accounted for and have protective bags and plastic wrap although that said protective plastic all looks suspiciously generic and not factory. Maybe that's just Gigabyte's way of keeping costs down I don't know.
The antistatic MB bag was taped with scotch tape and once I took out the board I noticed right away the crooked VRM modules which are clear to see in the picture. I'm not too hung up on that, as long as it's solid solder and works well I won't see it anyway but I mean hey this is supposed to be a flashy LED lit up board WTH? The VRM's also have discoloration on them which I'm guessing is from sitting in an unsealed box (not a single silica gel pack anywhere) in an air conditioned warehouse. I inspected the CPU socket pins and they appear to be flawless so at least there's that.
I've owned 2 Gigabyte MB that have both lasted for over 8 years and been moved multiple times from Guadalajara Mexico (3 years) to NH and NY for a year, Houston Texas for 3 years and now in California for 2 years now and only just started to have issues with the Z77 board. My Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 is still going strong with heavy OC'ing and many different hardware changes so I'm expecting BIG THINGS from this latest Z390 board. So far I'm NOT impressed and undecided if I made the right choice. Since it is sold and delivered by Amazon (Prime) I'm not sure who is at fault if it does not work correctly.
***UPDATE 7/17/19***
So I installed the board. The first problem I had is the extra height the I/O shield has, the back of my case has a fan and radiator and the board was very difficult to get in place, it just barely fit so be mindful of that.
Fan Headers!! Wow! And the advanced fan control seems to work wonderfully, goodbye my old friend SpeedFan! Oh and they are all four pin PWN/Volt and can each be assigned to function indivifually as either PWN or voltage speed control.
The lights are cool but I haven't messed with that yet.
The sound comes with a Gigabyte audio control panel that gives you basic sound field stuff like an EQ and choice of environmental effects. But it's pretty basic and my speakers don't sound nearly as good as with my SoundBlaster Z card, I'll miss that.
Seems to run much cooler than my Z68 board, my office is significantly cooler. Haven't tried any overclocking yet, waiting to get used to it first. The settings in the advanced part of the BIOS are very detailed and rather cryptic, Gigabyte style. ASUS has a much nicer and friendlier BIOS but this Gigabyte Aorus Pro Wi-fi is rated in general to better handle the power required for a i9-9900k and has a few more features for way less money.
TLDR:
Pros: Cheap, great power handling, decent looking, nice lighting, Many fan headers all individually controllable, Many temperature sensors all addressable, 2 m.2 ports each with nice heatsink, reinforced PCIe x16 and x8 ports
Cons: BIOS is confusing and unclear, packaging was unprofessional, documentation is lousy, not a lot of SATA ports, sound is not as great as they claim

It booted fine, all drivers loaded.
I went into bios, to change CPU TDP from auto (65W) to 50, to see at what frequency the CPU would run.
In theory it should run fine even on 50 Watts, but now my PC ends up in an infinite boot loop.
I tried resetting the CMOS, even take out the battery, and for 30 seconds short the terminals, but no success :(
So I reordered 2 more. Both of them, from the start, got stuck in an infinite boot loop.
100% failure rate out of 3 boards?
I can only speculate, that the boards are NOT compatible with the core i5 9400f out of the box.
All else was thoroughly reexamined
For the short time the first board worked, I was unable to get more than 2 pcie graphics cards working plus a pcie 1x slot. For no apparent reason, did it not accept 3 GPUs in the full size slots, nor accepted more than 1 pcie 1x slot with riser.
It's been 3 whole days of hell, trying to get this to work!

Problems:
One small issue is that the board does not come with a pre-installed motherboard speaker. This usually isnt a big deal and is very cheap to get one for it if you do need it (This is not the speaker you'd use for gaming or anything like that but rather to diagnose the motherboard itself). Still just seems odd that a board almost $200 can't include a 20 cent speaker.
The BIG problem however is that while the board supports 9th gen processors, it does not come with the latest BIOS update, or at least mine did not. This means that while you can put a 9th gen intel CPU into it, and have the BIOS recognize it AND have it pass all POST testings, it will never boot. The only way to fix this is to first put an 8th gen CPU in, and update the BIOS manually (Which is kind of a pain but not super difficult to do). However when you already put a CPU in, you will have to take it out and hopefully know somebody else that has a compatible CPU just to be able to update it a usable state. If you take it to a computer repair store, the going price for this procedure is about $200. I was lucky to know a person that builds computers as a hobby that did it for me for $45, but I should not have to pay money to get support for something the box ALREADY SAYS IT SUPPORTS. This is really unacceptable on Gigabyte's part and I would not buy a board from them again.
After finally getting that done, everything works great and I do not have any issues with this board, but I just can't believe Gigabyte would advertise it supports 9th gen, when it doesn't do it out of the box. A lot of people building a new computer may not just have an extra CPU laying around to update it to bring support.

I have built over 300 computers and have never run into this issue before and always use a feather touch with the cpu. I can only guess that the pins were too high or received bent. This is the last gigabyte product I will purchase after the horrible customer service and the lousy response.

I bought a i3-10100F, which the board says is compatible but it's not! At least, not this Bios version.
I read that some people had the same problem. It turned out that the motherboard must have been shipped with a per-production Bios which is ONLY compatible with cpu with builtin gpu. Mine doesn't not have one. Even with a PCIe gpu card, the board will not work. It beeps error every time!

I’m not planning to overclock so this is perfect for me.
It could be better if there are some more pwm fan headers to install more fans to run the pc silently (there are only two, one for cpu cooler and one for system fan)
You can connect the system fans directly to the power supply but they’ll run at full speed.
Overall the product is good.

Loading of windows 7 is right but pen drive senses only not detected, so i tried to install
Chipset INF Driver on windows 7, I tried in many ways ultimately failed (see the picture). This manes total crash in windows 7.your mouse stalls keyboard disabled , there is no way to get out from this without power off ..
I am trying to contact GIGABYTE but failed to contact from their support site.
I am going on formatting and reinstalling 4 times.
after that I decided to install Windows 10 this happens a charm everything goes right without any issue.
SO; ANYBODY LIKE ME WILL FIND A SOLITION FROM MY EXPERIENCE>
If other solution (may be cloning) is found plz share. I THINK IT IS THE BEST PLACE to Share his experience that may help other who are in problem.

最初Windowsが起動しなかったのですが、CWS?を有効にしたら起動するようになりましたので、しばらくはこれで使います

I considered the position of SATA ports while searching for the perfect motherboard in this price bracket...
As when I upgraded to my new GPU AMD RX 570...
The size of GPU was such... That it covered out all the SATA ports of my old motherboard...
It's better to check the position of SATA ports in motherboard... If you are upgrading to a new GPU...
As the days the going by... The GPU size is increasing... So it's better to analyze all the required port positions before buying a motherboard...
