- 2x Thunderbolt ports
- Amazing VRMs that deliver plenty of power.
- Two full x16 and x8 PCIE lanes
- A nice, clean, aesthetic
Negatives:
- Utilizing the second M.2 slot will disable the third PCIE slot. Thankfully, the third slot only runs at x4, so it's rarely going to be used for anything important anyway.
- It's very expensive for a B550. You can find an x570 cheaper than this that will likely have everything you want on it.
- No on-board USB-C header
If this board had an on-board USB-C header and was $50 cheaper, it would be perfect.

The reason I chose this particular motherboard is because of it's built in Thunderbolt ports. I have a Caldigit TS3 Plus thunderbolt hub which I use as a one cable solution for my Macbook Pro to connect my mouse, keyboard, headset, LAN, and monitors, as well as to charge the MBP. I wanted my desktop to also have Thunderbolt to quickly swap this hub between the MBP and my desktop and avoid the hassle of reconnecting all of those said peripherals every day.
At this time, there aren't many other AMD mobos out there that support Thunderbolt (i.e. the ASRock X570), and Thunderbolt add-in cards can be pretty pricey (and unreliable). If you're looking for Ryzen 5xxx compatibility, PCIe4 (on the CPU), and Thunderbolt, then this mobo might be one of the few that'll meet your requirements. I was able to justify the price once I considered that I'd need to buy a separate Thunderbolt card if I picked any other motherboard. I chose this over the ASRock because of a mixture of aesthetic, form factor (was not going for the micro itx form factor, needed more PCIe slots), and reliability (reviews on the ASRock seem a bit shaky).
Pros:
Aesthetic is perfect for no/low RGB and LED builds
Thunderbolt built in
Good VRMs, stable overclocking results (haven't really bothered pushing the thing until Ryzen 5xxx drops though)
Cons:
As the other reviewer mentioned, no USB Type-C header. I have a disconnected USB Type-C port on my case that is very sad. Existing solutions are not great (very few reliable PCIe cards that can provide this header, or try to convert existing USB 3.0 headers, which this board only has one of)
Notes:
Price is justified (to me) if you need the Thunderbolt functionality. If you don't, there are probably other mobos out there that will be a better price or have other features that would make them a better choice than this one.

If you're like me, moving from a Mac to take advantage of a 5900x (or 5950x) and RTX 3090 for design work, this is THE clear choice.
If you're a gamer and purely considering this board because of it's look.. it's still not a horrible buy if you're willing to pay a little premium for the aesthetic, imo. But otherwise, other reviewers are probably right that most X570 boards are probably superior for the price if you're not making use of the thunderbolt 3.
UPDATE: Being picky here, but one thing I would have loved to see (just because my case supports it), is a header for a front panel USB C. I'm sure this is irrelevant to 99% of people, but I have a ton of USB C 3.1 external SSDs that I'm connecting and disconnecting regularly between home and work, so have the convenience of the front port would have been a plus for me. And then I could keep my primary thunderbolt drive and thunderbolt 3 hub in the back full time.

Great on board support for all 7 of my fans without forcing me to add splitters.
Great on board thunderbolt 3 [note that for tb3 video, you will need to connect a short pass thru display port 1.4 cable from your graphics card to the display port in on the back panel. It is not included].
I have built more than a hundred systems over the years, and this board allowed for one of my fastest builds to date.
Be aware, with two m.2 drives installed, manual says that you lose the last pci3.0x16@4 slot. WIth on board tb3, I didn't find this to be an issue - comparing against my ASUS STRX b550e mobo with a tb3 expansion card, I didn't get any more usable expansion slots than with this board.

I've bought a few Gigabytye MBs in the past few years and in general love them. All the recent DOA reviews on the Gigabyte boards gave me pause but I've never had issues with them. My bad for hooking everything up, even the water cooling, before power on test. The high DOA count and all the people reporting needing to pull CMOS batteries to get their boards to boot just says they don't care anymore.

Running with AMD 2400g with Corsair 8GB ram and it's running smoothly as butter.
RGB strip is an added advantage.
Good Sound 5.1 output worth every penny

Its a fantastic piece of hardware. I am pairing this with a ryzen 5 2600x running at 4.2 ghz.
The voltages are perfect and so are the thermals. All the nodes stay within a decent 40 deg celsius.
RGB lighting is lovely. A treat to watch. Though gigabytes RGB Fusion software is a mess and keeps crashing. I am controlling lighting directly through the BIOS.
M.2 drive speeds are good BUT DO TAKE NOTE that if you use a M.2 drive in slot 1 then youre SATA ports number 4 and 5 will be disabled. And Using in slot 2 will revert Pcie to run at 8x.
My Corsair Vengeance RAM is easily running at 3200 mhz in XMP.
No trouble setting up and recommend all fellow pc builders to buy without hesitation.
I bought it for 12000/- which is a steal price for this hardware.
Thanks to Gigabyte Aorus, Amazon and seller Appario retail for quick delivery.

Cons: the price is a little too much for only one pcie 4.0 slot.

I got this 😠😠😠

I am photographer. My old computer is i5 3330 with asrock h61m bord finely I am upgrading. I do lot of research for everything cpu, motherboard, ram everything. Finally I chose this motherboard first I think I go with asrock b450 Steel legend but in my research I noticed that motherboard has some heating issues. Then I desides to buy this motherboard
friends the overall performance of this bord is mind blowing everything is run smoothly i pair this bord with amd ryzen 7 2700x with 32 gb 3000mhz XPG ram everything of my workflow is super smooth
I ran some stress teats and bord heart is not more then 40°C
I exported Lightroom images of wedding about 230 images it take around 1h 27 min but my old computer I exported same images but it takes 4h 53min
In photoshop I do lot of work plugins filters graphic works I am full time photographer and designer I spends lot of time on pc I made lot of multitasking on pc some time I did not turn off my computer. It's like 1or 2 days I completely on pc when i am going with amd i think that heating issues are going to cause but wrong amd ryzen master software is super and this motherboard is doing completely fine with fanes all 3 fans are connected to bord only one fan is connect to psu
Friends overall this bord is super for max useage don't go too much this excellent motherboard, RGB is super.
I think this should helpful to someone
Thank you friends 📷📸🎥

Although, the packaging says it is "Ryzen 3000 Desktop Ready" fact is this motherboard required a BIOS update to support Ryzen 3 3200G. Now I'm stuck because I don't have a spare compatible AMD CPU which I can use to boot the system and flash the BIOS.
Otherwise, it is a features-rich good quality mid-level motherboard.

Por otro lado, a pesar de la gran conectividad q tiene, en la placa madre, solo trae un conector USB3, por lo tanto si tu gabinete trae un conector USB-C, no podrás utilizarlo con esta placa.
