Got these out of the box and installed them right away... no sound. Disconnected and made sure all my jacks worked and drivers were up to date... no sound. The most I could get out of these was feedback from the sub. Returned and won't be getting another set.Also, went to the company website and found zero resources for trouble shooting or support. Complete waste of time.

I was very impressed with the quality of these speakers. They have out performed other well known brands of speakers I have used and for a fraction of the price. I would definitely recommend them for gaming as well as music. Exellent bass.

Looks good, works good, and price was right. Not sure about the audiophiles that are hating on this thing, but if audio quality is that important to you, then spend more money. If you are like me, and just using built-in speakers or cheapos that came with your rig, this is definitely and upgrade. My games, movies, and music all sound great!

ok so i was researching them and i read some negative reviews and i started double minding BUT OMG....i am so happy i chose these. I am currently playing Battlefield 3 on PC and HOLY S***T i was blown away by the bass.it blew me away. the speakers sound like they are a pair $150 speakers, very crisp and clean for a 2.1 System. I then watched The dark Knight Blu Ray. and i felt like was in a F*****G theater i wanted to watch another movie after it was done.OK so if you like heavy bass these are for youIf you like playing games with high bass and crisp voice this is for YOUAnd of you like TO PARTY WITH HEAVY BASS LOOK NO FURTHER LADYS and gentlemenAnd they look nice to.trust me you cant go wrong with these GET THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only complaint, and not worth a reduction in stars, is that the LED on the front of the volume/bass/power control unit is BRIGHT. I toned it down with a bit of black sharpie, it took a few coats. Not a big deal, but annoying for some. If your computer is lit up like a Christmas tree in June, it's not an issue. I however have a very low amount of light emanating from my case, as I like to sleep with music.Yes, these speakers are flat, it's to allow the use of an EQ properly. The highs are crisp, the mids are deep, and the bass resonates at a very low level, despite being a paper woofer in a light surround. The whole system looks amazing, though I hide my speakers due to limited desk space, I'm kind of ashamed to now, the satellites are very pleasing to look at, a nice design, and the anodized looking driver is a nice touch. The plastic face on the woofer enclosure looks neat, and provides adequate protection for the driver.Tuned with an EQ on a proper sound card, these speakers really do hit every note, and have a great, full sound. On a reasonable budget ($50 is what I paid) these are quite the deal, and worth every penny.

Speakers are nice and clear which I liked, but after a month of using these speakers, the sub broke down. I was very high on these speakers because of all the positive reviews but I wouldnt think that the subs were that weak.

Nice sound for what I use these speakers for. I use computer speakers out on my patio by my pool with my iPod and like to have a bass that I can control separately. These speakers sound awesome for my application. We'll see how they survive 117deg heat this summer! (Scottsdale AZ - Hot!) Where's that pool girl now with my brewski......

First off, let me start by saying I only gave it 4 stars because the first set arrived with a bad sub woofer, and I had to return and exchange with Amazon. Once the second set arrived and I set it up I was pleased with the sound quality, it's definitely the best bang for your buck. As other customers pointed out there is sound "leakage" when using headphones, however it's not enough to bother me. My only complaint is the cables are too short.

Very impressed by the quality of sound from these. They look nice, bass is good, and I like the control box with the quick bass adjustment. Very good value for the price. I rarely take the time to write reviews. This one is worth it.

I received my speaker system and was amazed when i saw this huge box. I opened the box and didn't expect to see a large speaker system. I was expecting a mini speaker system that was displayed in picture. For the price this is an excellent choice if your on a budget. If your interested in this product i recommend you dont pass this up!!!!

Don't buy these speakers, they have this ultra powerful blue light on its volume/bass controller. When its on, its really bright and annoying. Unless you like a bright blue light shining into your eye, I would recommend something else. The sound quality is good though.

There is nothing to compare this system to in this price range. Yes, they can be over driven and at the higher volume levels they will distort. But, for their intended purpose, you'd be hard pressed to find this sound quality at twice the price...

If you are looking for great sound and great value for your money, look no further, just by these. They look good and the clarity of the sound is unbelievable. My Wife said she thought it surpassed the high end surround system that we have in the front room. I could not be happier.

These speakers work very well. I do get a bit of a "whine" from one of them on occasion when they are on and nothing is playing. To solve that, I turn them off.

To be honest I was kinda skeptical until I seen the reviews , and sure enough when I got it I was satisfied w the product the only thing I that is wrong w it but can be fixed . A lil bit of interference but once I moved it away from other devices it worked perfectly. Overall pretty decent sound and full bass .

This system is much much better than expected.It was a gift for my son and man does it rumble the house!I had no idea how powerful it would be for the price!This set has incredible bass that rattles windows when turned up,for real!For the price I highly doubt you will get anything close to the power of this system!

I bought a $330 TV and this set of speakers fixed it. The speakers sit behind my TV completely out of sight. Pandora and Netflix sound great. They are also not so loud as to block all adult speaking when teenagers are using the system for their musical needs (I used to be one of those !@#$%^&* youngsters). They only thing is the blue LED power light is very bright (for watching netflix in the dark) but this is easily fixed with a piece of electrical tape. Terrific buy for my application.

I recently bought this speaker system to use with my Logitech Squeezebox (internet radio). The subwoofer really adds a lot of dimension to the sound. Although they aren't super-powerful speakers, the quality is very good and it's exactly what I need. I plug these into my laptop, too and listen to Pandora. Very, very happy with them!

I was looking for speakers for playing music and video games with and came across these as I researched.The reviews as well as other websites and reviews seemed to only rain great reviews on these speakers besides the very few bad reviews. To make a long story short I ended up buying these for 50 dollars. When they came in the mail I immediately set them up and put them to good use and let me say I am incredibly surprised by the speakers. I listen to music every day and my regular computer speakers just did not cut it. For those looking for speakers with a bit of bass, these will do the job for you easily. They produce a surprising amount of bass. The only slight problem I have with these speakers is that the mids aren't very strong but it's honestly fine if you have a good equalizer on your computer. I recommend these speakers all the way. Especially for the price, these are a great buy and make me a content customer.

I got these to replace a 7-year old logitech 5.1 set that went out. Didn't want to deal with 5.1 setup for the very light amount of gaming that I do. I can say that they sound really good blasting dubstep while I'm working from home, with a lot of extra room on the volume knob. Bass is good, maybe a little on the loose side, but it's a pretty small sub. They are gaudy looking, but I'm okay with it. The unshielded red mirror drivers are kinda cool. For the money, would definitely buy again. The Maximum PC review combined with user ratings sent me to this product.EDIT: I am currently using headphones at full volume - and notice NO bleed through to speakers. Perhaps this was an issue that was corrected with later manufacturing runs.

I bought this sytem because it was a low price not really exspecting much from it but the first day the treble is a little sharp but after that its amazong nice deep bass and nice speekers i would recomend this to any one who wants a good system for a low price

This is a great speaker set. It's sounds really good for the cost. They look like gaming speakers, so if that's a hangup for you you might want to consider something else.

Its loud and if you listen to anything with bass, your definitely going to enjoy this stereo set. One of my friends came over and is buying it as soon as he gets money for his birthday. Thats all i have to say, should be enough to explain how good of a deal this is.

I am rating these based on their price point. You will find better systems, but those cost much more. That being said the sub does drowned out at higher volumes, but the controls are very handy, so when you turn up the volume, gently lower the bass knob a small bit to compensate so you do not hear any unpleasent bass, and even worse damage the sub.These are great for video games and watching video. Again, not the greatest, but very good for this price. These are not designed for music, but I do play a lot of music out of these, and they easily outperform any cheap 20 dollar pc speakers with no question. So if you want a value budget speaker system, this is your best bet because for something better, you would probably have to spend 3 times the price.

For the price- I can't imagine a better value. I purchased this after reading the extremely positive reviews and have to say it lived up to my expectations. For a cheap, tiny speaker set- these pound. I have purchased numerous speaker sets for both home and work and this is by far the best I have ever purchased for the price. It is so worth the extra twenty bucks over the logitechs and the like. You won't be disappointed!

The genius gaming speakers are fantastic, far exceeded my expectations i have a nice 139 dollar swan diva 2.1 set up in my computer room and for 50 dollars these things sound far too close to them for the money. Are they as good of course not but best many 100 dollar systems ive heard including the bose companion. They have no tweeters 1 intergrated woofer but truly sound smooth, the subwoofer is of course not a high end design but truly shakes a smaller room. The secret in my beleif is the factt that genius uses a seperate ampflier powering the speakers and sub, it allows the best signal to come through the cheaper speakers, I truly own high end speakers, b&w, energy, swan multimedia and for a bedroom/gameroom these things lack nothing its nice to be suprised by an affordable product great for movies too! Jut an update the amp blew out after 3 months of little use so I dont know but mabey the quality and price issue demonstrted itself here.

I first heard about these speakers after reading a relatively beaming review about them from Maximum PC. I had been searching for an inexpensive set of computer speakers to augment the sound of my 32" LCD TV so I decided to try them out.For 50 bucks I couldn't be happier! Back when I was in college I bought a set of 68 watt (peak, not RMS) Cyber Acoustics speakers for my computer and was disappointed with the sound quality, high range clarity, and the 'boomy' bass. I was worried these Genius speakers might be the same because it had a smaller subwoofer and less wattage, but I decided to trust the positive reviews...and boy were they right! The sound quality is very good considering the price, and the subwoofer is deep and clear as long as you don't turn it up too far. The warm mid range is a little lacking, but again for the price I will not complain too much. If I wanted concert quality speakers with exceptional sound reproduction and frequency response I would have bought more powerful and expensive speakers, but these speakers strike a very good balance of sound quality and price. If anything their sound quality is above their price point.I have the speakers set up in an average sized living room, and the speakers have more than enough power to fill up the space.Overall, I would highly recommend these speakers as an excellent budget upgrade to your TV audio output or as conventional PC speakers.

These are great speakers for a good price. My son has autism and is blessed with exceptional hearing, and he loves them as they are great at producing sound without any background noise which I would not be able to hear, but it would cause him pain. They are very good speakers, proven by better than normal hearing.
