The Epson WorkForce WF-7010 printer is a beast of a printer both in size and quality. It prints large (up to 13x9) prints, as well as regular 8x11 prints, which at its price makes it an affordable wide-format printer that is of course fast since its an Epson. My favorite feature is probably that it hold up to 500 sheets, which is pretty much a ream of paper. I feel like I am constantly adding paper so it would be nice to not have to do that so often. I haven't tried out the two-sided printing yet, but I am excited about that since there has been times when that would have been handy for both display purposes and to save on paper. It also uses Epson ink (multi-cartridges) which lasts longer and is smudge, fade and water resistant.
While this printer is great for everyday uses, due to its large size (not many people would have room for this beast of a printer) it is probably not a good purchase for the everyday person. Since it has such heavy-duty features I'd say this would be a perfect printer for a small-business or office who is looking for an affordable printer that can handle heavy loads and produce good quality prints. At less than $250 it also makes it a very affordable business printer.

My wife almost fainted when she saw the size of the box. However, it was an outer box, so the printer was not the size of a small coffin, thankfully. This is a large printer, though. You would be wise to check your available space prior to purchase. The larger size allows for extra features: it handles legal-size paper and has two trays that make it easy to print with different media. It was a snap to setup. The simple "wordless" instructions allowed me to remove the shipping projection (tape strips, etc.) and install the ink cartridges. I skipped the install disk and downloaded the software direct from the Epson web site. I connected to the LAN via a Cat 6 cable (already in place). I had no issues with Windows 7.
The print quality on regular paper is good. Text comes out crisp and photos look OK. However, when I loaded some of the Epson (S042175S042175) Glossy Ultra Premium Photo Paper the results were outstanding. I've never printed photos before with such excellent quality. The paper is critical: the same image on regular paper doesn't look much different from a better laser printer effort, but on the high-gloss paper it looks like something from a photo lab. The paper is not too pricy (about $0.60 per 8.5x11 inch sheet in a pack of 50 sheets), BTW.

It is big, as I knew, but I was told that it was accomodate the 12x12 scrapbooking paper and I cannot seem to get it to do so. I would like for the Epson company tell me how it will print 12x12 paper.

I didn't actually use this - I wanted the model with the scanner (7510). The 7510 works well, so I'm assuming that this one would be a good printer, too.

Just getting started with the new printer, and will reserve judgement on performance for now, but I really like the ability to have two paper trays. I design machinery,and work at home sometimes, and the wide format is necessary.

Epson's WorkForce 7010 wide-format printer is a hardworking standard printer. It is easy to set up and easy to use and the software walks you through every function, even when it comes to troubleshooting.
At 15 Pages Per Minute for black & White and 8.4 Pages Per Minute for color the Epson is quick and the quality of printing is quite good as well. The price of the ink is great and you can get high capacity model 126 cartridges which make it so you get more for your money, and the cartridges are also compatible with some other Epson models.
Some of this machine's features are double-sided printing, Wide Format printing options up to 13" x 19", two separate paper loading slots which hold up to 250 sheets of paper each & built in Wi-Fi / Ethernet connection for home networking.
Sadly unlike some of Epson's nicer "All-in-one Wide Format printers" this one does not have "EPSON Connect" which allows you to print directly from your smartphone, iPhone, tablet.
This printer is great for pictures and school work, basic printing and business needs. It's a good reliable printer, but if you need a little more you may want to look into one of the All-in-one Wide Format models.

The Epson WorkForce WF-7010 printer should do a good job for the semi-professional publisher, hobbyist or small-business user. Installation is relatively carefree, and an Epson phone support specialist proved to be readily available, to answer a question at setup.
Although the machine doesn't scan, copy, or fax, its range of printing--up to 13" x 19"--adds versatility. It handles up to a 500-sheet paper capacity and can print in black-and-white or color, with four replaceable Epson ink cartridges. Its 22" x 27" wide-body size and 27-pound weight make it somewhat more demanding in space and handling requirements compared to other inkjets I've known.
The WF-7010 carries a relatively low initial price when compared to a four-color laser printer. One cost consideration may be replacement ink. A local ink vendor says he's not able "at this time" to refill the Epson cartridges that came with the printer. Thus it may not prove feasible to comparison-shop for replacement ink when needed.
However, if you have occasion to do large-dimension printing jobs (and you don't need a printer that can do scanning or copying), the WF-7010 may serve you well.

Set up was tricky but quicker than expected. Of course updating is always a stalled process in set up but made it through that with ease. I'm using this in an office dedicated to business (not home office) therefore counter space was made for the printer which is large. For a home, it'll be a little overbearing. Of course it prints flyers and photos with ease but have to say that the drawers, again, seem delicate for such a brute of a machine. I say, again, because I'm using this same make with a scanner/fax and the drawers and construction are cheap.
My Canon was sturdy and well constructed but the thing just quit abruptly with a specific error. Did some research and found it's a flaw alot of people experience, so I'll take a working, cheaper made machine from Epson over a solid, error laden Canon any day!
Being in business for over 15 years, I have to say that I've always had luck with Epson products. If you need a printer for more than a few large flyers and photos, this will work for you. I wouldn't recommend as an everyday printer. It just takes up too much space for printing one or two photos/flyers a year.

I had hopes that this printer would work as well as my Stylus Photo 1400, and it did. The two-sided printing feature works perfectly and is a real fool-proof time saver. As is often reported, the only downer is the cost of replacement ink, and how often it needs to be replaced. Epson has a reputation for quality photo printing but they have also created a very serviceable production printer that produces high quality prints.

Had it for less then a month used not much dut to holidays fun. I had no problems setting it up by myself, usually the DH does this. It is hooked up via USB since it is only for my use. Will come back with update postive or negative once it I start using more often.

Great printer so far, only one issue is that I thought it came with a rear feeding tray. But outside of that this printer has been great.

I do graphic work on the side, so when I had the opportunity to get a printer that can produce up to 13"x19" prints, I took it. I've heard of Epson, but had never owned one. I'm not disappointed. It produces quality prints, it is as quiet as a printer can be, and it's relatively fast. It can also hold up to 500 sheets in the bottom tray, so that is a plus. I have an all Mac household, and have experienced no compatibility issues when hooked to my Airport. I installed it to my main computer, and have been able to print from my family's other 2 computers by selecting my Epson connection when printing. The only problem I encountered was not being able to to print from my iPhone or IPad - I get a "No AirPrint" notice. I emailed their customer service and they were prompt to respond, but have not been able to resolve the problem. If I am able to fix the problem, I'll increase my rating to 5 stars. (PS - Please be aware that this printer is large compared to average home printers, 22 x 16.3 x 10.4 inches. It's also just a printer, so don't expect to be able to fax or scan items.)

I placed this Epson WorkForce WF-7010 printer in the office. It immediately becomes the work horse printer. Setup was super easy: there is an Ethernet network port on the printer. I just plugged it into the office network, loaded the CD into a computer, and followed the screens. The installation program automatically located the printer on the network, installed the driver, and got the computer ready to print. I then took the CD to other computers and repeated the procedure. The installation program recognized that the printer had already been assigned an IP address when I installed it on the first computer, and skipped that step. It was well thought out.
The printer has two paper trays. I loaded one with regular Letter size paper, and expanded the other tray to hold 11x17 paper. It is very easy to choose which tray to load paper from. Finally I can see my design files in 1:1 actual size!
There is an iPad app "iPrint" by Epson from the app store. It enables printing from an iPad. Highly recommended.

The Epson Workforce WF-7010 is a big oversize printer which turns out fast, crisp copies with excellent color. Easy to set up and use, it has two paper trays with adjustable paper guides; both trays will hold envelopes, letter, A4 or legal size paper. The ink cartridges are individual so that if one color runs out you don't have to discard the whole cartridge. Perfect for all kinds of home or business desktop printing, including brochures and advertisements, multi-page folded newsletters, family trees, brochures, photographs, and art projects. Especially art projects!
Access to this printer is excellent in case of paper jams or for replacing ink cartridges, which are loaded from the top. The printer is somewhat larger than an ordinary home printer but if you have the desk space and need, even occasionally, an oversize printer for your photos or other home or business printing projects, the Epson Workforce WF-7010 is a great choice. Highly recommended.

I purchased the epson because the printer I had was always cleaning itself and was an ink hog. This does much better on ink, prints better, and is a relatively fast printer. Wish I had purchased it rather than put up with my old one the last few years, it would have saved me some stress.

I have been searching for a wide format printer, but couldn't decide what to buy. Finally, I chose this one. It has been the best decision I've made. The quality of the prints and the vibrance of the inks is wonderful.

They must have changed the wording in the description I'm seeing today for this printer, because when I ordered it, I could have sworn it said "wireless". Make sure you understand that this printer does need a wire, either an Ethernet connector cable, or a USB cable. Perhaps the fact that there are no connector cables in the box is what they meant by "wireless". Anyway, I was hoping for WiFi connectivity, so I could put this printer up near the kids computer, but WiFi is not what it does. The other surprise to me was its size - much bigger than I had pictured in my mind. It's solid feeling, but rather overly-hefty. It prints well, although the colors of photos might be a little better on some other printers. The ink cartridges sure are small. Once I got it set up, with a cable I had to go buy, it has worked dependably so far.

Very nice product, and a very good price ($130). Was easy to set up and install software. Haven't used it too much yet,but lines appear sharp and color is good. Mostly used for diagrams not photos, but photos look pretty good too.

Printer arrived well-packed via UPS. Installation was easy although it took well-over 15 min for the color cartridges to prime. Since this has a fairly large footprint, plan ahead on where you will put it and make sure you purchase a long enough USB cable (not provided). It handles 11" x 17" 110# card stock with ease - my main reason for purchasing it. For an occasional user like myself who uses it primarily for text instead of pictures or photos, it was a good bargain.
