It has 2 paper trays and that's really convenient. The driver was very easy to install and it was up and running in minutes.
It doesn't come with a usb or network cable. It connects via USB or a network cable and is not wireless enabled. It's very large though- it has to be to hold the large paper, but this can be a problem getting it INTO places to sit - so we had a problem getting it connected and had to get a usb extension cable. It would be really nice if it were wireless enabled, especially because of the size.
That said, we are quite happy with it. Just note the dimensions before ordering it so you can plan on where to put it!

Duplexing works automatically and is fast on standard letter paper. On longer paper, the printer prints all one side and then signals you to flip the paper and put it back in the tray. That's OK since I don't tend to print on larger paper all that much. Also, on regular paper (not the good stuff) there's definitely some ink bleed through, so I set the printer to draft quality and that makes a big difference. I'm guessing that will save some ink, as well.
I think it prints pretty quickly considering the price.
So far, so good. I'll update if any issues arise.

Update: I guess there's a reason this printer is inexpensive; it's problematic to print anything out of autocad to this printer; sometimes a sheet comes out fine, sometimes you get an error message (that invariably invites you to but some epson ink online), the printer spits out a few blank sheets and then nothing; I like the pretty flashing lights on the printer that tell me nothing. I guess I'll read the manual to see what's wrong; oh wait; THERE IS NO MANUAL! Only an online guide that's worthless.
I'll be returning this printer.

workforce 1100 vs workforce 7010
the WF 7010 has it beat with about 20 seconds on Best settings.

I would encourage anyone in need of a new printer to consider the WF7010 and as an added bonus you get the wide printing capability plus you get two paper receptables that will hold up to 500 sheets of paper.
It is truly a GREAT Value.

Be warned this is a large printer, that is to be expected when you see that it can print large format paper but it was still a bit surprising to get it out of the box and see how big it really is.
22 x 16.3 x 10.4 inches ; 27.1 pounds
Installation on my network through Ethernet went well. My only caution on that is that the first screen that identifies the printer shows the printer greyed out. I discovered that you just push through, hitting next and finally it all installs and lets you print a test page. The first test page took several minutes. After that the test pages from the other two computers were quite prompt.
I installed the software on an Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP machines. All worked fine, saw the printer and printed out beautifully. I printed out some photos on glossy paper and they were also beautiful. I know from past experience that Epson printers actually do print out better on Epson brand paper but I was more than happy with the results from the Canon brand paper I already have.
I have had the Epson multi-cartridge printers before and it is cheaper to use. When you run out of magenta, you replace the magenta cartridge rather than an entire multi-colored cartridge. The cost of operation is definitely better with this printer.
Overall it is a nice printer, the two trays and network ability mean it would function quite well in an office setting. The price and the operating costs mean it is a good value for the money.
I recommend it.

Regular black-and-white documents print crisply and clearly, but it is the color that blows me away. I have printed everything from birthday invitations to Christmas cards on this printer, and some people have asked me where I got them printed.
It is a little big and takes up a bit of space, but it is well worth it!
Overall, an excellent product.

Print speed and noise for the product is relatively standard. It's not super quiet or very fast. Photo quality prints are sort of stretching the concept and very dependent on the paper, but do look professional. It doesn't struggle with irregular paper sizes and the drawers are easy to manipulate. Everyday print jobs however do look cheap. I would recommend this printer if you have a real need to print oversize graphic projects. For this specific use it's affordable and it delivers surprisingly good looking media. But be prepared--for everyday print jobs you may need an additional printer. Perhaps one with a scanner or copier...

That's not to say that the output from this printer isn't good. It just isn't as good as the 6-color photo printers.
The things I like about this printer include:
- It will print on large paper. This is the obvious one - and it's the reason most people would choose this product.
- It is pretty fast.
- The black quality is excellent.
- It is cheaper to run than a standard inkjet - but still more expensive than a laser.
The main negatives for us include:
- No wireless support. At the end of the day, this ended up being the deal killer. We tried a couple of wireless solutions with it, but finally gave up altogether.
- It is very big. This should probably be expected with a large format printer, but it will turn off people who want to use it as a hobby printer.
- The color output isn't as good as the photo inkjets.
For me, this printer kind of lands between a color laser and a photo inkjet. It does bring large format printing to the table, but then it doesn't perform as well as the photo inkjets. If it were a 6-color photo printer with wireless capabilities, I think it would appeal to a far larger audience.

For me, I have nothing but praise for this printer, and the software driver ( I use a Mac).

This printer is perfect for my uses.
Pros:
Easy to set up.
2 printer cartridges- you can choose which cartridge you'll use from your printer dialogue. Since I print on card stock just as often as I print on paper, this is incredibly handy.
Really easy 2 sided printing- just select 2 sided printing from the dialogue, it prints one side, then pulls the page back in to print the other side.
Can print 12x12 digital scrapbook layouts
Fantastic print quality for an inkjet.
Separate ink cartridge colors so you can replace ink as needed.
Cons:
The cons don't bother me, but it is very big and a little too heavy for me to move by myself. I needed my husband's help to set it up on my printer table. Also it's not wireless, so it's inconvenient to use with my husband's laptop.
I'm really happy with this printer.
EDIT: It's 10/28/2014 and this is my favorite printer ever. The Durabrite inks are fantastic for my printable crafts, fabrics and transfers. Using it with the print and cut feature on the Cricut Explore and transfers for dark fabric simulates the look of old 70s transfer tees very well. I've recommended this printer repeatedly, and will continue using Epson for all my crafty printing.
