Bought this ram here, service was fast and efficient. My pc is a custom built,with an intel 8400 core 2 duo cpu, with the dg35ec mobo, running xp home, if anyone cares. THis ram is 1.8 v which is very important according to the intel service guy I contacted on the phone. This ram installed easy, booted up no prob, and the machine runs like a raped ape! Huge difference. Now lets see if the rebate goes thru and I get paid.

I added 4 more Gig to my current Quad core Q6600 setup. easy to install. My 64 bit Vista definitely improved performance.

CORSAIR XMS2 4GB ( 2 X 2GB ) PC2-8500 1066MHz 240-pin DDR2 CL5 Dual Channel Desktop Memory KitAt first I had problems because one of the DIMMs was bad, but very politely Amazon takes care of everything ... The second problem was the time to put 4 DIMMs 2gb I had to manually change the voltage in my BIOS to the reports 1.9 as the default is 1.85 which caused me not to recognize me .. The third was warming but a fan OZ Ocz Xtc Memory Cooler buy through Amazon and my machine works very well .... It does not get as disadvantages but as points to consider when purchasing these reports, but the performance is excellent ...

I concur with Nima, this RAM is terrible for overclocking. Any attempt to do so, even very little, resulted in fatal system crashes, and the memory diagnostics tool in Vista always said hardware failure, until the FSB was brought to default again (I have a P5E-VM HDMI board with the E8400 Wolfdale processor). I haven't had other problems with it but I've only been using it for a week. It's not worth the approximately $25 (after rebates of course), even if you're looking for cheap RAM. Corsair needs to stop using crap ingredients in their hardware. My next RAM will be made by another company.

4GB of ram for under $[...] after mail in rebate is too good to pass up. I just put together a new HTPC last night using these and am well pleased. Left Memtest running all night and there were no errors. DOA sticks of ram should not influence your buying decision. I have purchased DOA sticks of Corsair, Kingston, and Crucial ram over the years...when a working replacement arrives, it does the job just fine. You will most likely replace your system before a non overclocked, working stick of ram craps out on you. Bottom line, if you are not looking to overclock, this ram is a steal at the moment! You can use the money saved from not buying expensive overclockable ram to purchase a faster processor :)

Having read that the Inspiron 1100 was picky which memory it recognizes, I was a bit nervous to install two CORSAIR Value Select 512 MB PC2100 266MHz 200-pin SODIMM - upgrading from 256 MB. However, the installation was very quick and easy and it works perfectly. What a change from before !

I have owned my Dell Inspiron 1100 almost 7 years and it has resided in the closet most of that time. The new memory woke it up. It was delivered with only 256mb and the increase to 1gb made the difference. Installation was easy and it works with no trouble at all. I now have a useful laptop.

This memory worked great in a Dell Inspiron 1100. I tried some Kingston RAM and the laptop wouldn't recognize it (even after flashing the BIOS).The laptop is much faster now. Before the upgrade the Dell was virtually unusable. It took over 20 minutes just to boot up. I still wouldn't play games on the machine, but it is great for e-mail, internet, and office documents.

Got it from amazon, insert it into my ASRock Mobo, boots right up. No issues found. According to the manual, my Mobo can address 2GB of RAM, I put these RAMs in, the system found 4GB but only can use 3GB, strange but happy. By the way, my BIOS is v2.0, these RAMs won't work with v2.1.

Vista x64 on a Dell XPS 420, went from 4gb to 8gb of this ram. Intalled w/o a hitch and working fine for 2 months. Not a significant improvement in responsivness, but the price with rebate was too good to pass up. It's also fun to say you have 8gb of ram.

This memory gives fair performance, however one of the sticks I received does not fucntion at all - a sign of poor quality testing. Beware of this, unless you are happy to ship returns back and forth until you have a good set.

Bought a pair of corsair PC-6400 modules. One module was DOA. Corsair Customer Service was great and processed an RMA in no time. Good Product, Great Customer service.
