Had trouble replacing the memory in a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop. The computer was still good but needed more RAM to function better. Bought RAM at the store according to the specs for the computer but it didn't work. The specs were right but the memory wouldn't work in the computer. Found this RAM through a search from people with similar problems. This RAM worked perfectly from the time it was installed. The computer now has a second life that will keep it going for years. If you have a similar problem with a Dell Inspiron 1100 or similar Dell, this RAM works well and the price is right.

Installed in a Dell Dimension 4700. Replaced the original 512MB with this memory that is that fastest that the system can use. System booted up fine, and performance was improved as expected. It has been running several months now with no problems. Corsair memory has not let me down yet.

My old Dell Dimensions 2400 needed a ram upgrade, and I always trust corsair with memory. The ram was easy to install and it worked on the old junker without any problems. It probably boosted the speed twofold! Thanks corsair!

I bought this 2yrs ago and have had no problems with my box until now :) the PC is used to develop, Linux services (web, sql), virtualization and no hangs nor slowdowns have been noticed

Well, I am no computer hardware aficionado, but I do know that there are a couple of things I would like to share about memory with you. If you already know a lot about memory, this review will be pretty elementary for you.This memory worked great in my computer. Upgrading from 2 GB to 4 GB was probably one of the wiser decisions I have made with my workstation, and it will help me get a couple of more years out of it rather than purchasing a new one.A couple of things to note about this memory. There is memory speed, which is denoted in the title of the memory (800 MHz). You should always make sure that the memory speed is compatible to the memory you currently have in your computer. That is one thing I found out. Also, the pin size that it denotes needs to match up (240 pin).Also, the other thing I quickly realized is that 32-bit operating systems and motherboards have a cap limit of 4 GB of memory. This means that buying these two chips meant I had to remove the 2 GB of memory (2 X 1 GB chips) out of my board, and put them in storage. The annoying thing is that it appears on the board you could do such a thing because of there being four slots, but that is not the case. If you are using a 32-bit operating system, 4 GB is the limit.All in all, upgrading your memory makes a world of difference. I am seeing it in many areas of my computing. Hope this helps!

Okay, so 4gbs of RAM for under a hundred dollars?? How can it be any good?? Well yes, and it's *great*! And, to boot, it's got faster processing power. I don't have any problems with it and it has definitely sped up my system. Remember, too, that if you run the 64-bit version of Windows7 (or Vista or XP), you'll get all 4gb's of RAM; however, if you're running the 32-bit, you'll only get about 3gbs. The rest goes to graphics, which is actually a good thing in itself. So check it out, buy it, and love it.

I bought this to make an HTPC from a Zotac Ion motherboard/computer. It would bluescreen after a few minutes. I played with using one stick, changed the order, loaded several versions of operating system from Windows 7 to Vista to XP 32 bit and 64. It would operate LONGER in safe mode, but still would BSOD (blue screen)Swapped with some older Corsair 1G sticks and works fine. It might be just a compatability. They are working fine in an Asus motherboard but I never was succesful using the 4 Gigs in the Zotac.

I only gave this a four because one of the two I ordered was bad and I had to send both of them back to Corsair for replacement. I am being told that two packs are paired together so even though one of them worked I had to send them both back for replacement.I have read over and over again that when adding RAM buy the exact model of ram that is already in the system or replace all the chips with the same new models. I already have these exact two in my system and since I went from 32 bit XP to 64 Bit Windows 7 I decided to up my RAM only because I could.Windows 7 is so much faster than XP it is truly amazing!I did NOT by the RAM to make Windows 7 faster I bought the RAM because I could and because I am staring to do a lot more 3D CAD and Animation and that takes a lot of horsepower.BUY THIS RAM IT IS WORTH THE PRICE!

Upgraded from 512MB (2 x 256MB sticks) to 1024 (2 x 512MB sticks). Simply installed the RAM and it worked like a charm. The laptop runs noticeably faster. Very satisfied with this product!

not much to say or explain, but something to complain, my mobo a (GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX (great mobo after you got it running)) detected a failure on the power supply right after i inserted the ram modules and turned it on, i tried one by one then, and found out the one that was giving the problem, so the one that was DOA(death on arrival) felt pretty hot even if i did set the voltage to 1.8v as it was told on the package, soo what i complain is that this little piece of memory was threatening my mother board, power supply and other components on my PC. then i started to read the reviews and i cant believe Amazon dares to sell such a bad quality item. i m abroad as i told in previews emails to our friendly Amazon.com sells department. so i would like to know what shall we do now... will you keep me as very unhappy buyer i m serious... i waited for almost a month for this memory to be deliver, and when i finally get it one of the 2 modules is death?

purchased this item and received it rather quickly, installed and passed all memtest checks, had some issues getting it to run with the other 2 gig matched pair i had installed but with some tinkering with the timings everything worked out fine and is running smooth. definitely a graet purchase especially at the price, would have picked up more if it was available.

The first Set of TWIN2X4096-6400C5 modules died after a few days and the second set is very unstable on my Intel DG45ID motherboard.I get the "Dreaded Blue Screen" about 2 times a day (or more). I ran MEMTEST86+ and did not have to wait very long for errors. Every pass through the test failed!On Corsair's forum, the RAM GUY seems to think these are 1.9 volt modules and the intel motherboard selects 1.8v by default.I am still waiting for a resolution from Corsair!

I only had 2GB in my Dell XPS 400 (4 X 512), so I bought these and they worked just fine. My previous memory was PC4200 (DDR2-533), but these automatically adjusted downward to the slower speed.

I doubled my PC's memory from 512 to 1 gig with this module, and the only difference I notice is a slight improvement in the speed at which programs open. I bought only because there was a $10 rebate, but I would not pay the price with no rebate. It simply did not make the performance difference I was expecting.

Bought this memory to increase from 1 GB to 2 GB in my AMD desktop. Didn't have any problems with it at all. Installed, booted and everything worked!
