I still use my old Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop. This memory works like a charm for this computer, order two modules, read the manual on how to remove the old ones (manual is online with Dell), plop in the new ones, reboot and presto, you have 1G of memory. Did not upgrade the BIOS, still have the original Windows XP on it (with full updates of course). Recommended.

I also had a Dell Inspiron 1100 that I wanted to upgrade memory on. I had tried Kingston and no matter which side I put it in or what order or just one... it wouldn't work. I was able to put the Corsair in, turn it on, and it worked with out having to do any jumping through hoops. The Inspiron recognized both memory cards right away and worked right off. Now it's running 1 gig. While not good enough for some of my kids games, it works well enough for most internet browsing and a lot of the kids games.

I purchased this memory for my Dell Inspiron because Dell recommended it after some thorough testing. As another reviewer stated this memory will not run without constantly rebooting the PC.I replaced my existing memory with this new memory because my PC was running slow and diagnostics showed my memory did not pass all the tests. After replacing the old memory with the Corsair memory, the PC wouldn't stay up for one minute before crashing and I was receiving Memory Management & Non Page Fault error messages with the blue screens. Curiously, the Corsair memory passed the diagnostic tests. Now that my old memory is back in my PC, I've not had one blue screen.

Great memory! 8 GBs boosted my HP m9040n Memory & Processor Windows Index from ~5.6 to 7.1 while running Windows 7 64-bit OS. No issues with overheating.

Excellent set of memory; installed on a Dell XPS400. I only experienced a slight improvement in performance, nothing to wow you, but certainly nothing wrong with it. I was getting frustrated with internet performance, so I thought a memory upgrade would help. What really helped was installing Mozilla Firefox Internet Browser as my default and getting rid of Internet Explorer. Wow!, what a difference in load time of internet browsing, wish someone told me instead of getting lucky.

Installed easily by the included instructions. Worked immediately. Great performance improvement -- more RAM helps computers cope with modern bloatware and advertising saturated websites. Max out RAM by filling every available slot! The easiest and cheapest performance upgrade along with disk optimization and removal of junk processes from startup, etc.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop that was really old and really slow. I had read the reviews for this memory module before buying. And it works exactly as everyone has said. My laptop went from 256 to 640mb of memory (apparently I had two 128mb modules originally, so after replacing one with the 512mb it gave me a total of 640mb...which the laptop recognized immediately). Works fine, and I did notice an immediate increase in boot up speed. Plan on purchasing a second 512mb module to replace the other 128 still in my laptop. Great product, totally compatible with the Inspiron 1100. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely buy again.

I bought this product from amazon and first of all it didn't ship for over a month causing a delay on a big project, and once I got the ram it fried my board. NEVER BUY FROM AMAZON DIRECTLY!!!! I'm contemplating suing for damages!

I've been building computers for half of my life; it comes with the territory of being a generation-y adolescent. I've used Geil, Buffalo, OCZ, Crucial, and most other brands on the market, but over the past several years I keep returning to Corsair. They have great quality peripherals, courteous and intelligent support, and they're like the energizer bunny - they just keep going. And going.I built two computers, one for myself and one for a friend, with nearly identical internal components; only difference was the RAM. He opted for Crucial Ballistix while I went with the pricier, though more reputable, Corsair. Three years later, he's had to RMA his OCZ twice due to intermittent boot attempts; I recently purchased two more sticks for my old PC which I turned into a server.The bottom line is, you might think you're spending more when buying Corsair, but when you consider the longevity of the components in your computer and compare it to the other products on the market you'll see you're really getting what you pay for (and then some!)

Not the best memory sticks out there but they will give you a good boost in operations speed. Definataly buy if your still running only 2gb's and you can fit 4gb.

I ordered two of the 4 GB kits, but received two 2 GB kits instead. The packing slip says 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) and the product says 2 GB : 2 x 1 GB clearly on the outside of the package. I RMAd these and Amazon sent out a replacement shipment- also two 2 GB kits. I emailed them and they did not offer to get me the correct product, but instead refunded my money. I'm not sure if this is incompetence on their part or their way of not honoring a good price on 4 GB.

Title says it all. Corsair timing is a mystery. If you can find the advanced timing settings on their website please post them because I gave up after an hour of looking.

These memory upgrade cards installed with no problem on the computer board and worked as I hoped they would when I turned the computer on.That is all there was to it, and my computer now has twice the memory and is much faster. No problems what-so-ever.Thanks, Cuerno Verde Kid.

I had a motherboard with a 2GB limit and needed budget paired memory. This fit perfectly, the name carries alot of respect and it didnt dissapoint. I have been running it overnight and no issues. Good memory.

This ram is probably the most solid choice for anyone purchasing ddr2800 memory.I have purchased this ram for use in multiple rigs, and it always performs flawlessly.Corsair also has great customer service and their products are definitely top notch.This is good overall memory, running at decent timings, will get the job done.Not the best for overclocking.

The Corsair Memory card solved a problem with my Dell 5100 Laptop. Dell created a certified memory card that was to be a replacement for the 5100 memory upgrade but for some reasons the Dell memory card wouldn't work on my 5100. Dell couldn't offer a solutions. I searched the web and found a number of folks were having the same issue on their 5100 . I also noted that several offered the Corsair Memory card as a solution.
