My wife had a SX20 and with the excellent performance of that model we went with the SX50. Zoom is fantastic and pictures have all turned out really well.

This should be fine for avg. size person, but football player size, not enough finger room in the grip. ok

Birthday gift for my son. He absolutely loves it. It has wifi so it loads all pictures right on to his phone quickly and easily.

This is one the best cameras i have owned.The super zoom telephoto 1200mm is unbelievable.I got this camera for my upcoming trip to New Mexico, Colorado and Utah.And in this tenure the camera has performed to its expectations.However its not that great in Low Light situations but performs okay..(Well its a Super zoom Bridge Camera..Peopleusually buy it for nature,wildlife,zooming photography.)i liked the feel of it and ergonomics wise its a great camera.RAW format is a Win here great for those who use it for editing, touch up, finishing in Light room and Photoshop.However one limitation i saw was while i was cropping a lot for few pics i had to compromise with the qualitybut that's not a big fuss.

Just what I needed as my previous, next step down Canon PowerShot just wore out. However, I'm finding it is very sensitive to movement. It is amazing on zoom shots. Craters on the moon smile at me!!

I've had this camera about a month and love every element of it. I was debating on stepping up to a full sized DSLR but, for cost considerations bought this model.Our community sponsors a Youth Fest during the 4th of July week. There are a lot of activities planned for the kids, from tykes to teens. I shot photos of the kids on the practice tee and putting green. One of the photos i took will be featured on the cover of a local magazine. Not bad for learning the camera over just a few days.Only negative is that it comes without a manual. You have to download the manual, which is about 270 pages. I really would prefer to have this information in hand where it is more usable, than online.

I recommend this camera for anyone who doesn't want to spend a boat load on a camera.this camera takes wonderful photos and is easy to use

I have had all of the SX series and the SX50 is the best yet. The zoom lens is great and this camera has all of the features that you could want. I do a lot of wildlife pics and this camera fits the bill.

pretty much what i wanted. I bought it for birding, very pleased with it, only thing I dislike on it is the auto focus it is hard to focus on birds in trees it tries to focus on the tree branches in front of the bird. Only other thing is i cant really see to much out of the view finder but I still think its worth it.

The camera is easy to use. Just set it on auto, point, look, and snap. Perfect picture every time, every shot.

its just what my wife wanted. Its fairly straight forward. I haven't used the wifi feature yet though. Good quality camera.
