While some may justifiably complain of inconsistency in quality in identical Canon products, rarely does one hear that the good, or corrected by Canon, products are less than stellar, and this camera proves it. While not elegant in its materials, it seems rugged enough, the IS works, the pictures are excellent, and it's a breeze to use. The optional underwater housing makes it even better when compared to others in the price range. I have a Canon dSLR, and several Canon film cameras over the years, and my experience is that the company flat makes stuff with which you can have years of reliable fun.

I'm very satisfied with the camera. It's an upgrade from my first digital camera which was four or five years old. The batteries last longer and the picture quality is very good. I'm still working through all the features. Easy to use on auto setting.

It`s probably a good product but so far only frustrations. Three weeks and hardly any use. First, the card that comes with it holds a total of 4 pics!! Then the supplied batteries died after 8 pictures. Every time you turn it on you must fill in the date and time. It must be a huge power user?

Received the A570IS for a Christmas gift, even though I have only used it for a few hours, I think it's a great camera. There are so many picture mode and manual settings I will probably never use them all. Some reveiws talked about batteries not lasting long enough. They should have had the old Fuji I had, I could only take about 10 photos on a set of AA.

It is compact and gives me pictures of high quality. In Night mode, there is a considerable time gap between two snaps. One must be prepared for that with this model. I dont think it is a drawback with it. In A series, it is one of the best cameras.

I have used two earlier Canon point and shoot digitals and they have always worked very well. The A570IS is fabulous. I can shake it as much as I want and still get a perfect picture. My only complaint is that the build quality has gone down a bit to make it available at a low price. I spent less than $9.00 for the matching Canon carrying case. If it gets dropped the camera won't be damaged.
I highly recommend the A570IS.

Easy, small and very simple to use. I am a novice at digital photography and this camera works for me, not too technical and nice results if you just follow the instructions.

Excellent Camera for the Price. I love the image stabilization. Have not had a blurry picture yet with it on. It does loooove those batteries! I knew that was the case before I purchased it so I keep an extra pair handy at all times.

Cute, but too small for my big ol' paws. Wife happy, me happy.
Photos good. Operation simple. Should have included DC adaptor/battery charger - I'm getting danged tired of buying AA batteries.
Menu system is pretty well thought out - I didn't have to look at the manual to set up the camera.

Don't buy this camera. I tried 2 recently and both had "low battery indicator" problem. Low battery indicator comes after taking only 4-5 shots on freshly charged batteries.

Nice, easy to use point & shoot digital camera. Great pictures. You need to purchase a larger SD memory chip (like the 2GB Kingston) which needs to be formatted before use. Camera default is for max pixel pictures so recommend follow directions at setup and reduce the size.

I love this camera. It takes great pictures. Everything you could want in a small camera. Easy to use. I'm not a great photographer, but even I can take good pictures with this camera.

A very fine camera , this is my first digital camera . It is relatively simple. For first timers I would recomend a short course in photography with a camera of this nature.

I have recently switched from an older Sony cybershot to this Canon and I am very pleased with the better quality pictures that I get from this camera. No more red-eye or out of focus pictures as with the Sony (not all the camera's fault, but some was). Nice size too, smaller than I anticipated for the features.

No matter how much some of the other reviewers brag on this camera, just read the complaints about how fast it uses up batteries. That makes it a big "NO THANKS" in my book.

This camera is very easy to use. We purchased one for ourselves as well as one for my parents. We are both first time digital camera users. The pictures are great and our children love the video feature. We would highly recommend this camera for its ease of use.

This is a great little camera for the price. Easy to use, convienent to carry etc. I got it to replace my older bigger Kodak in order to always have it handy for quick shots of the Greatgrand sons, they grow up and change so quickly. I love it.

I had originally bought this to replace my other digital camera on the suggestion of a fellow blogger. I was not sure about how user friendly it would be, but after the first shot I knew I would love this camera! I will be ordering another for a family member because this is such an excellent camera!

I love my new camera. I am still learning how to use all of the features on it. It is a great camera for the price. I was using a Nikon coolpix 5700 until it crashed on me. My husband and I researched for a while and settled on this camera. It is compact enough to take with us all the time. We have a 22 month old daughter and it was hard to take pictures of her moving around with the Nikon, not with this one! I can capture moving pictures of her and they come out clear and the same quality as some more expensive cameras out there.

This camera is perfect for beginner who would like to take shot however they want. With image stabilization and scene mode its perfect for outdoor & indoor shot. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

I purchased this camera as a Christmas gift for my mother. She needed a camera to take pictures of her artwork so it could be uploaded to her art club's website. This is excellent for clearly capturing the details of her paintings. Also takes excellent everyday pictures.
