good for low definition photos which i need so you can send up to 50 photos as an attachment with an E - mail generally .
looks very good and easy to use , got it at half price great camera , slightly bulkier than my other small cameras although still fits in large side pockets easily .
Pleased with purchase , would recommend if you want a good camera at a good price , does most hings cameras 10 times the price , i don't feel so bad having to replace things that don't cost a lot when accidents happen eg dropping into water or sand / concrete etc.

A few CONS to consider, though, are battery life, size, and movie noise. BATTERY LIFE is a problem with many Canon Powershots I've read about, and this one is no exception. You will definitely have to use rechargeable NiMH batteries unless, as one has said, you own stock in an alkaline battery company. Even then, as my camera ages, I've had trouble keeping my camera running for photo shoots. One thing that has helped is a battery monitor from the program CHDK, and I have been able to get the juice I rightfully deserve out of those batteries. AAs are very handy to get and use, but they do have their drawbacks in terms of strength and speed (for flash recharging, etc). The SIZE of the camera may be a drawback to some because this is certainly not a pocket camera. It's solid and has a sturdy hand-grip (which makes it good for precarious one-handed pictures or awkward angles), but, if you're going for stealth or stashing it in your pocket, you're out of luck. Lastly, I've noticed a lot of "washing machine" NOISE on VIDEOS (whether played back on the camera or on the computer). This can interfere with sound if the sound of something you're recording isn't pretty loud. If you're not planning on taking many movies, don't consider this a downside. The video itself tends to turn out very nicely.
The PROS are numerous, but some things to focus on are the vivid color option, macro mode, and white balance. I think one thing I have used the most is the VIVID COLOR option in My Colors (Manual). It yields great color every time, and it's especially breathtaking for foliage or sunsets. Make your photos stand out from those with a cheap, dull gray cast. This camera takes great pictures all around, but this option bumps it up to incredible. Another thing is MACRO. For those who have tried to take close photos, only to find that they are blurry as all get out, this is a big deal. My first camera didn't have macro, and I frustrated myself so much to try to get a good close-up shot. Macro mode focuses in close for great, sharp pictures almost every time (just don't get too close... at mere millimeters away, you're simply beyond the camera's focusing capabilities. This camera does not have Super-macro as some of the other Powershots do.) This works awesome for bugs, food, rock textures, etc., and it also seemed to help (in my opinion) keep slightly moving objects in focus (my photographic specialty is taking pictures of flowers in the wind. They always seem to be the most beautiful then :P). Thirdly, the ability to change the WHITE BALANCE is vital for professional-looking shots. Ever taken a picture indoors that was way too yellow and dark? Or have you ever been frustrated because you can't capture that perfect color on "film"? With its seven options, this Canon makes it easy to switch from indoors to outdoors, from fluorescent to tungsten, or from sunny to cloudy. You can also go for the two extremes of fussiness: auto lighting or custom. In custom, just point at something that should be paper white, and, with a press of a button, you're all set to shoot the colors you really see. All of these things help to boost your skills and offer you more room to be creative and take charge of your photography and turn out better and better photos.
Overall, I say it's a very nice beginner to early professional camera. I was able to take fantastic photos with it and learn the ropes to better photography without being overwhelmed by the options this camera had or being held back by a lack of features. I am getting ready to say goodbye to my little Powershot because it is finally beat, after the literally thousands upon thousands of photos I have taken over the years, sometimes under fairly adverse conditions, pushing her to the max to get that perfect shot. (If one photo is good, 10 different ones of the same thing are better, right?) If a picture says a thousand words, I've got a bookshelf of the best books of all time. And I owe it all to my Canon Powershot A560.

AND THE PICTURES ARE SUPERB

Looking for another one, probably used of course.
What I have has been a great little camera but the prongs to the battery, one has broken and searching for another one.

Great camera
