We just received our Canon Pixma 1p6000d photo printer and we were really excited to set it up. Well, after putting in the printer cartridges we started to run the printer and we received a mysterious ERROR 5110 message. When we consulted the guide we were told to contact customer support, so basically there's nothing we can do but wait until tomorrow morning to get help. After spending almost $200 on this printer, we're very disappointed that we are having problems with it and we haven't even used it yet! We're probably going to return it and get an HP printer.

Overall, and so far, this is a great printer. Pictures are fast, clear, and have good color. Documents are great. I am not a photography aficionado, so I cannot speak to the finer points about hues and what happens when you alter the exposure, etc., etc. I am a "casual" printer user. I use this printer to print digital photos of my kids and for occasional text documents. 4x6's come out in less than a minute...unreal. And they look great - better than the "professional" photo lab we've been using. I honestly cannot believe the features on this thing...it has more options than I know what to do with. I really don't use the PictBridge options, as I tend to edit all photos on the computer first - so I can't give much opinion on this. All in all, I will never, ever, ever buy another Epson or HP (have had rotten experiences with both).

Be warned that if you buy one, the set up instructions at one point direct you to "attach the USB cable." Guess what??? The #*#*# thing does not include a USB cable. Even the really inexpensive HP digital camera cames with a download cable...Big screw-up on Canon's part..Order a cable with it unless you want to make a separate trip to town to buy a cable..The one star rating is due entirely to not being able to hook the *$*$*$* thing up when I have the time...

I opened up the box and in ten minutes I was printing. I love the clarity of the pictures but it makes a difference what kind of paper you use. The Canon paper works great. I have not used the computer to make any changes to the images but the pictures I did print were amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Ok, I'm just a typical home photographer but I think the printer is spectacular. People can't believe that my glossy photos were printed from home. Easy to set up, easy to use, and wireless printing (using an adapter you must buy separately) to permit printing from a laptop works fine. I have no idea why people are complaining about the text qualities of this printer. I use it primarily for text and I think it looks just great. A terrific home/office printer and an exceptional value.

Once you decide on the quality of printer you like, one of the first things to do is check on the ink cartridges. Replacement cartridges can run into big bucks, especially if the printer only takes 2 tanks and you have to replace the entire color one even if only one of the colors run out. This printer uses multiple tanks, which is good, BUT I could find no generic/compatible cartridges available for it yet. Try looking on the web for the CLI-8 cartridges and see how much they cost. The other Canon Pixma's like the 6000 have compatible cartridges that are available very cheap, so watch your wallet when considering this product.

Got this printer from Amazon about a week ago now, we are very impressed with the photo prints and features but it seems that Canon is not willing to lose the big money by allowing cartridges out on the market. I'm afraid that we will run out of ink before we can find a reasonably priced source for canon ink!

I've only had this printer a few days, but so far so good. It is really fast and the print quality is very good. The only reason that I say it isn't excellent is that with the default settings and Canon Photo Pro paper, shots taken indoors without flash have a slightly more orangish tone than on my calibrated monitor.

my pictures are awful... all green hued... maybe I am supposed to make adjustments - I haven't read the manual... but out of the box the pictures are hideous...

В xl я всегда предпочитал обычные.
действуют в два раза дольше и стоят меньше.
Черный недосягаем, с совместимых картриджей.
Приехали в блистере amazon в течение 48 часов.

оригинальные Картриджи Canon, совместимые прекрасно и запечатаны. Советую всем, у кого есть принтер. Цена как в супермаркетах, несмотря на то, что это справедливо.

Как сказал, не то, что можно было ожидать значительной, что. Они делают то, для чего они были созданы, и просто. Стоит меньше, было бы лучше!
