I read the product reviews and decided I wanted it. I purchased and received promptly. The Nook works great and even came with a cover as a surprise. I did not think charger was good so when I checked with seller they immediately said they would send another which they did. Nook Tablet works fine and seller was a real gem.

The Nook Tablet we bought as a birthday gift for a teenager in a Nook household was Dead on Arrival. A call to Nook tech support confirmed that the product was defective, and they assured us that a legitimate seller would replace it. We requested a replacement from Worldwide Distributors, but they refused, suggesting that it was a warranty issue. I then filed a complaint claim with Amazon, who contacted Worldwide Distributors. Their response was to point out that their return policy states that they will not take back electronic products which have been opened. (How else can a buyer find out if it works?) That's a nice gig if you can get it, selling high dollar electronic products with no responsibility whatsoever if they turn out to be worthless junk. Unfortunately, Amazon backed up their claim, based on the "published" return policy. In 12 years as a steady Amazon buyer, I've never looked up and read a return policy. It's sad to think that I have to from now on. (When I buy DOA products at my local Radio Shack, they exchange them without batting an eye.) So I'm stuck in a protracted fight, out over $200.00, and own a paperweight that looks just like a Nook Tablet. Then again, if I write up a good return policy, I can sell it for new on Amazon and get my money back! BUYER BEWARE!!!

Overall I love it. Works as if it were brand new. No screen damage. Only noticeable damage are a few small scrapes and scratches on the frame but nothing substantial to ruin it. Very satisfied with the Nook!

Quite some time has passed since receiving my Tablet but the good news is I STILL love it! I use my Nook for all sorts of things from playing music, games, reading magazines and books...also the alarm clock. I could go on and on but I'm incredibly happy that I bought a Nook Tablet : )))

I received my new Nook Tablet today, charged it, and with great anticipation went to find my favorite magazine, The Economist. I found it in the App Store as expected, but found no way to access it without buying it again... I have a print subscription that gives me full access to the digital edition on the iPhone/iPad, Android, and even on the Blackberry. I called tech support for help and was told that, even though this is an Android device, the standard Android Apps have been disabled. I was told that I would have to buy a duplicate subscription through the B&N store if I want to read The Economist on my Nook. It seemed like an absurd statement, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. To my astonishment he made, with an apparently straight face, the same absurd statement.That's the end of my relationship with B&N.

If you want an e-reader, get an e-reader - the battery dies in a few hours (or a couple, depending on brightness settings). If you want a tablet, get a tablet. There are far better options for a similar price. If all you want to do is read magazines and buy a few apps, fine. But this thing is truly lacking. I've owned mine for 6 months, and haven't changed my mind about it yet.UPDATE: The product gets even worse with age. It will not fully charge, ever, and at 15% it goes crazy. It runs all sorts of apps, closes them, types things into the browser, and won't let you use the tablet at all. This may not seem like a big deal, but it is unacceptable. 15% should still be enough to read for a bit, rather than going psycho and taking over the device.

I bought as new, but was sent a used Nook, I had to take it to a Barnes and Noble store where they graciously exchanged it.

Word of warning...you only get 1 GB of free space for non B&N purchases. If you have a large collection of eBooks, songs or movies, you simply can't get them on.

the nook color is a great tablet. it sometimes is very slow but it is still a good tablet. i have dropped it a few times and it is still okay.

Was not new. Would lock up and not come on after one hour. Would have to plug it up to get it to wake up. I got most of my money back. Cost me 30 dollars because it could not be sold as new. Very upset.

I would give it a -10 stars if I could. Customer Support/Tech Support is horrible. You go to India and get the standard script read to you. My Tablet was damaged and had to be shipped in for refund which I had to pay the cost of shipping, per post office tracking they received the tablet on September 28th. I called on October 5th..they said they didn't have it, the 10th called back and "Arjay" assured me a refund would be issued within 24 hours and she would send me a confirmation email. I called again today the 12th because I did not receive an email to see if refund had been issued and was told that a refund will be issued in the next 1 or 2 billings cycles which is 1-2 months. Every time I called I have to talk to 3 or 4 different people all of whom are confused. It is horrible to purchase a device...find out it is defective and have to wait up to 3 months for a refund. Horrible...I will never buy anything from B&N again!!!!

I'm happy, satisfied and proud of myself by selecting such a wonderful tablet like my NOOK. Honestly it worths more than a five star rating.I will recall a phrase in a movie, it came to a certain point when I had to decide between style and substance...That's right! I got both on this Tablet.The product arrived two weeks ago, I did charge the battery and afterwards registreded the product so I immediately starting getting books, nowadays I have plenty of Nook Books to read ahead.My co-workers and friends love the aesthetics of the Nook look, as I love all the features in the device.Pros: All of them.- The screen is so clear ("Wows!" me all the time), fast response to tasks, easy menu, fast processor, Micro SD card slot added 32GB extra fun (big smile), lightweight, long life battery. etc.Cons: None

Bottom line, I am a grandma. A real grandma. I got the Nook as a gift because I read a lot. I enjoy it tremendously for books, magazines, newspapers. Games too. But, the charger and cord ARE JUNK. Total junk. I am into buying two at a time now. I don't jump up and down, just sit in my recliner. The plug end (mini usb) is the worst. My husband has used glue, electrical tape, and whatever to salvage this most recent one. Poor poor quality on the charger and cord. There has to be a better way.

I got my Nook Tablet 16gb for christmas. I love it! Its display is one of the most advanced in the world, it has pleanty of storage, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, and many other great fetures! its wonderful HD display makes it very ideal for moviee, videos, and apps. It comes preloaded with Netflix and HuluPlus, plus there are ways to put your DVD's onto it. It has the largest bookstore (around 2.8 million and counting) and an app store (several thousand and counting) that is just HUMONGO! The app store isn't as big as Apple, but its shurly a runner up! Get it! Its worth the money!

I have a nexus 7, however I wanted a tablet just for my books and newspapers. This is prefect for me. For those who want to separate your reading from the other tech devices you have plus I made a investment in Barnes & Noble books and magazines. This is the way to go.

I am having a bit of difficulty with using the alphabet as it is. Really almost is necessary to use a marker to use it well. I think that should be included as part of the product when sold.

now im not entirely disappointed but i got an 8GB Nook when i clearly ordered a 16GB. i dont know if there was an error but the box says 16GB and the Nook itself only has 8GB. other than this problem, which will be solved by a 32 micro SD card, the product was really nice and in good packaging. so ill leave it with a 3.5 star rating.

I was excited to finally have a tablet, but it wouldn't work. I tried the initial set-up and the device would not pick-up any WiFi signals! I took the device to a Barnes and Noble store and they couldn't get it to work either!
