I love using this. It's light and easy and fast! LOVE that is has hte capability of Google Play on it! So hard to find things that are compatible

It works well but was in poor condition. The power/sync cord did not work and I had to buy a new one. The memory card does not have the available memory that it was supposed to and I had to pay to have it cleaned up.

It meet my requirements for a tablet. I like its light weight and battery life. I would recommend it to any one who wants to get ebooks and down load pdf's to keep for handy reference.

Ok, I know this tablet has been out for a while but I just got it from B&N through Ebay as CPO tablet for 2 weeks. Initially, I was blown away by how the screen was more beautiful and livid than the Kindle. It is silky and smooth, unlike the Kindle Fire's grainy and unpleasant, in my opinion. Next, I explored the system's Settings and found out that the User's modifications is limited. I was not able to install the Amazon AppStore or even SlideMe apps store since B&N took away the Unknown Sources capability. So no Play Store, no Amazon and no SlideMe nor any other Third Party Apps. So I am only left with B&N apps store; I call it "The Lockdown Tablet", no incomings or outgoings except thru B&N. However, this tablet has some of the best hardware specs, same as Fire's, if not better. Of course, since this Nook has 1 GHz processor, it is able to render Flash videos from websites. But my Nook was not able to render videos from ESPN with the Nook's browser. On the contrary, the Dolphin browser, downloaded from B&N app store, had no problems rendering videos on ESPN website. Finally, the contents in the Nook and B&N apps store are perfect for children of all ages. I did neither see nor find any inappropriate apps from B&N's app store. In fact, this tablet can read stories to children or recording the user's reading and then play it back. All in all, I wished I had more wiggle room to personalize my tablet and not being restrained, but if anyone planned to use this Nook with his or her children or outright give it to them, then this would be a perfect tablet because B&N apps store and its Nook are the silver linings and help your youngsters learn at the same time.

I am very disappointed with Nook Tablet. I currently have 53 unread ebooks and 25 archived ebooks. My tablet has stopped holding it's charge. I have had my tablet for only a year and a half. I called customer service and they stated that there was nothing they could do. They offered no suggestions as to what could be the problem. Let me also say that customer service is a joke! I have called them on countless occasions, for many reasons, and they were never able to help me. Barnes and Nobles has out-sourced there customer service to, I beleive the Phillipines, and they can not speak english very clearly. I had to keep asking, "what did you say?" I can't tell you how frustrating it was. There only suggestion was to read my 53 unread ebooks on a computer. So much for B&N standing behind there product!!!! I am very angry!! I've spoken to supervisors and the like but no one has been able to help me. I believe I shoud get another tablet at no charge!!!

The nook works perfectly but I'm pretty disappointed because after taking it out of the box I noticed a decent sized chip in the top edge.

The product works as expected, but the item that was advertised was a 16gb Tablet. I was told, after ordering and paying for the item, that a mistake was made and the advertised price was for an 8gb tablet. I was credited only $10 and received an 8gb tablet. This was an error on Amazon's part that they would not honor. I felt like that was "bait and switch" approach and was unhappy with the customer service

I ordered, as advertised a new 16gb NOOK Color. When my order arrived it was a refurbished, 8gb NOOK Color. I returned it and requested the product as advertised. My request was disregarded, but at least they gave me my money back. It was supposed to be a Christmas present... bummer.

I do not understand people, they are comparing this $100 tablet with $500 Ipad, of course it is not gonna be the same. I would recommend this tablet to everyone especially for the kids.

Not only can you read the e-books on this but you access the internet for e-mail, Netflix, Facebook ect.The navigation it a bit difficult to get used to so do watch the training videos to help you out.

My husband bought two of these for myself and my daughter for Christmas. Mine wouldn't stay on unless it was plugged in and now it won't even turn on at all. My daughters worked for a day then it also randomly shut off and won't turn back on regardless of whether its plugged in or not. These are being returned and we will never buy another nook tablet.

Fantastic product, can't love it anymore. I did root it, and put Android Jelly Bean on it (the nook OS by itself is not that great) but this is just like a normal android tablet with expendable memory!

I bought it for my grandson for Christmas. His mother didn't want to use her credit card so she bought a $20 gift card. It won't let him get games or anything else unless they use her credit card. She is very upset going to get something else for him. I feel bad he can't use it.

Check your SN with Barnes & Noble's 800 number. Mine was used from BuyAccessories. I paid $70 too much as used is under $30 these days.

Well I bought a NOOK Tablet last year and it was great for about 1 month after the time of purchase. Since then, I have had to get a replacement and now the replacement is giving me lots of problems. Barnes and Noble keep telling me that my device has a manufacture defect, yet they wont issue a refund. I would not recommend this device at all, unless you are really into books and have the patience and energy to keep fighting with a company that doesn't see their mistakes. Also, the app store and email app is upsetting. The app store is blocked so that you are only limited to B&N app store which doesn't offer much. There are no messaging apps available for this device. The email app is very out of date, and limited. Please consider all of the pros and cons before you waste your money on something that will only give you headache after headache.

I bought this to load textbook pdfs on, and to be able to faff around on the internet and watch movies. So much lighter than 40 pounds of books, and way more powerful too! I love that it comes with a micro sd to be able to add memory. For what I paid, it is fantastic!The only issue I encountered was that the keyboard freaks out if you try to type while it is plugged in. If I had paid more for this, I'd be miffed, but at $50 I can't even bring myself to take off a star.

And what is it? Why it's an outdated B&N Tablet! A friend of mine purchased this after seeing my 9in HD+ tablet, but wanted the smaller 7in version. It works fine for what it is, but it caused her much confusion as it did not seem "as nice" to her as my 9in concerning screen quality.And that's because this is not the NEW Nook HD with a 1440X900 screen resolution and upgraded hardware, firmware, and software which has been on sale everywhere since the B&N Father's Day Sale was extended indefinitely. This is the OLD Nook color with a standard 1024X768 resolution screen and minus the upgraded hardware and OS.IOW this is the old model :)So if looking for that "new, on sale" tablet by B&N like my friend was, well, this ain't it. She will be returning hers and getting what she wanted initially.As for this one it looks fine and works fine for what it was, but comes up short these days, period.

I love my nook and love my books. This is my 2nd nook color. 1st charging port broke and no longer charges. This one has some glitches and I wish B&N would fix the things people are complaining about bc it is the same problems for everyone. With all the issues, lower the price. Plus, found kindle books are cheaper then b&'s and kids del has less issues than nooks.

this is such a great tablet. one time didn't work. acted weird really weird. needed to be cleaned. now I keep eyeglass cleaning clothes (disposable) for it. has worked like a charm since. hooks up to the computer without the shelves going away. book reading is great too. I use it for an ereader with games that I sometimes play, but mostly as an ereader. recommended.

Hi folks, I have just purchased a brand new Barnes & Noble 16 GB Nook Tablet. I've been wanting an eBook reader for quite awhile, so I was really excited when it arrived by FedEx this morning. I'm a disabled American Veteran, and on a very limited income, so I receive a small allowance each month for my personal items. I had to save for several months in order to purchase an e-book reader. I did a lot of Internet searches, reading, and comparing features before choosing the "Nook". I also based my choice on past experiences with Barnes & Noble (book stores). I never expected them to "ROB" me as they did. I bought the Nook with my own money, and it is mine. Shame on you B&N for stealing from a loyal (ex) customer. I trusted you and you stole from me. If any of you are thinking about a Nook, "Be YE Forewarned", B&N has a nasty little bit of firmware just waiting for you, on the Internet. This little thief will lock up your Nook so you will only be able to download books and apps from Barnes & Noble. You will buy only the things they sell and you will pay their prices. There are so many free apps and ebooks available, but you will not be allowed to have them, if you purchase a Nook. If I had it in my power, I would have everyone to buy some other brand and teach the "Big Guys" a lesson on how to treat people. Had I known about this "Hi Jacking" of my property, I would not have purchased it. I hate to sound like I'm pissed off, but I am pissed off. With all the nice features, the Nook would be a great piece of technology, were it not for the stinking little virus waiting for you out there in Cyber land.Tom MullisPS: For those of you who know how, you can do this thing called, "rooting", but there are many of us who are not able to do this procedure. And I'm pretty sure Barnes & Noble will soon write a piece of software that will take the Nook back, and prevent you from doing it again. The folks at B&N are not dumb, they will figure it out. They are not dumb, but they are crooks, willing to cheat and steal for that, "almighty doller". So beware. By the way, are there any lawyers out there willing to take on a "class action" suit? I'm so glad I bought this it has everything and is stout and strong . heaver then the newer ones so no worries about breaking so easy I hope they start making them stronger anain like this one.
