This is the best IPS screen on the market in this class of device.MicroSD card slot, for up to 32GB of extra storage.Built-in Microphone for voice recording, particularly usefull to "read" books to your children without having to physically be there.Reliable Wifi card.1 GB built in RAM for smooth, fast video.Netflix and Hulu.eReader bests the competitions.Easy to root, if that is something you would do.Cons:It's $50 more than some low end hybrids.Much like the other low end tablet's, it runs on Android, which is not the best tablet experience.Limited apps, although the list expands almost daily.Overall, this is a great device and although it is $50 more than some of the competitors models, it is also a far more refined product which doesn't have many of the problems of the others.Highly recommended!

I bought this Nook tablet as a replacement for my Nook color that I loved but dropped. Before going with the Nook I had tried 3 different eReaders with poor results. The Nook is far superior to other eReaders I have used. The tablet is very functionable with a quick browser and is easy to use. Screen quality is excellent, videos are as good as my LCD TV, and there are several different settings to use while reading. Battery life is very good as well. The only complaint is the speakers. Even when the volume is as high as it will go, content is barely audible. I use headphones instead when I need to listen to something. Other than that, no complaints. Have reccomended this eReader to family, friends, and co-workers.

I bought the new Nook, and I LOVE IT! I had 2 people that DO NOT HAVE ONE try to talk me out of buying mine, I'm so glad that I did not listen to them. I am disable and have to go to the Dr. alot and it comes in handy while I'm waiting, as a matter of a fact me and my daughter fight over it. THE BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT! At night when I can't sleep I watch movies on Netflix and play games on it. I am sure I will have to buy my daughter one sooner or later, and my oldest grandson Loves it, he plays games and gets to read childrens books on it. I'm sure sooner or later I will also have to get him one also. I tell everyone how happy I am with this product. Great to use and so small it fits in my purse. I can't say enough about this product.Melba Hyatt

the tablet work perfectly and the battery life is so long that I recharge every 3 days and I only watch video, the down side of this is that has no keyboard language seetings (I watch japanese tv and I can't search for the tv shos names) and has no copy-paste options in web.One other thing, if you are not from USA or Canada, you can't buy or even download free apps (you have to purchase a credit card and only allow this 2 countries). I hope an upgrade software may solve this.

While the hardware is acceptable, B & N locked up the operating system to make the Nook Tablet virtually unusable as a Android. device. You are restricted in getting all your apps from B & N and certain websites (ESPN3) are also blocked. Very frustrating. I am sorry I did not return it and get a general use Android tablet from Samsung or whoever.

I wanted to love this. I really did. I tried for 2 weeks. But I hated it. HATED it.1. The charger LOOKS like microUSB but it is not. Therefore, you must lug around a dedicated charging cord.2. The browser is not quite right. There are little things that just make it not good. Like when you click a link, there's no highlight or box to indicate you selected the link. And there's not way to open a link in a new window. And other quirks that I didn't know I appreciated in my other browsers until the nook took them away.3. Can't use android apps, or amazon apps, or ANY apps that aren't dedicated to the nook. Seriously, how many formats are we going to ask our app creators to make. And the B&N app prices? RIDICULOUS.I will be getting either a sony e-reader (uses ACTUAL microUSB to charge) or a samsung galaxy (an ACTUAL tablet). The nook tablet tries to be both and fails at both.

Barnes and noble put this out to be used as a tablet but it does not have the access to apps or the capability to gain access. Almost all apps that you re used to finding cannot be found. I could not even get the Facebook app for this tablet. These days what is a tablet without the apps? A reader! And that is exactly what this is. Nothing more nothing less!

Pros: Easy to handle. Lightweight. Fast processor. Flawless operation. Sharp and vivid color screen. Expandable storage. Easy to use.Cons: Short battery life (when rooted). Occasionally breaks wireless internet connectivity.Summary: This is the best 7" tablet $250 can buy. Once rooted, the NOOK Tablet becomes a full-fledged Android tablet. This is perfect for those of us with tight budgets. I now have access to all the Kindle Books I can get, along with thousands of Android apps. If you are willing to make a few initial software changes to your hardware and only pay $250 for an Android tablet, I highly recommend you consider the NOOK Tablet.

As a faithful owner of the nook color, I went to my B&N just to try it out.. and was absolutely wow'd!!! I purchased it immediately and sold my Nook Color. This Nook Tablet is much improved and well worth every penny! It's been 3 weeks and I am still amazed at the super-fast responsiveness, the crisp and vivid screen, the overall build quality, and the small drop in weight does make a noticeable difference to me. The interface received some touch-ups that makes usability much more pleasant and more organized. This tablet is powerful and packs a mean punch. I don't go anywhere without it! I came across the Fire yesterday and immediately lost interest after taking a glance at the cloudy-blurred looking screen and swiped my finger across it which in turn revealed a sluggish interface.. this 10 second interaction simply solidified that I made the right decision to upgrade to the Nook Tablet :) Hope this helps!

Had my GF get me this tablet assuming that there would be a plentiful selection of third-party ROMS and other hacks like the Nook Color...WRONG.For whatever reason (some people speculate NetFlix content protection) the Nook Tablet is boot-protected/requires a signed bootloader so it will not boot off an SD card like the Nook Color. There is currently root support, although the 1.4.1 update may or may not break this.Shame on Barnes and Noble for not embracing the success they inadvertently gained through the Nook Color's ease of hacking. The technical specifications are very good considering the price you pay, but it's unforgivable to prevent people from turning the hardware into a much more usable customized platform.Sigh...on to the Galaxy Tab...

I was anxious to get this and play around. However there was no instruction manual included. You have to download it from the web. I've never had a smartphone or tablet before so I can't compare this to anything - however just getting around wasn't very intuitive. I don't think this would be a good gift for anyone that has very limited computer experience. I'm just astonished that they would (in an effort to save money) omit an instruction manual.I've had mine for about 3 days now and I can download apps, play games and access the web. So far I'm very happy with my experience. But I do wish there were more apps available. I'm sure I have alot more to learn about this gadget. I'm going to go to my local B&N store and hopefully I'll find someone to help me out.

I bought the Nook Tablet yesterday. It took less then five minutes to set-up since I already have earlier version of the Nook (Nook Color) and an account with B&N. It quickly synced with my purchased content & downloaded the magazines I subscribe. The tablet is amazingly fast & easy to navigate. I watched a two hour movie from Netflix on it without interruption. It streamed the movie flawlessly. The picture quality was as good as the one on an HDTV. Only complaint I have is the sound volume but I understand that this is not an entertainment device, it is an e-reader. Sound quality is acceptable while streaming music via Pandora. The new tablet is bit lighter and screen is little brighter as well. And finally, the main function, reading experience is as good as on the older Nook color. I definitely recommend this reader.

I was pretty excited about my Nook Tablet. Thought it was a good price, had the expandable memory, and android giving access to a vast app market and nice user experience. What I got was an updated firmware that limited me to only being able to use B&N apps and an extremely limited version of the market that is virtually pointless. There are barely any free apps to simply amuse myself with when bored (including ones that are free in the traditional market like angry birds and such), all the thing can really do is function as an e-reader and play some movie files. With this in mind, I regret not getting a Kindle Fire, or shelling out a little extra for an actual tablet.

this is excellent tablet, excellent touch screen response and button controls. When you hold it in your hand, you will feel that its built tough and can withstand rough handling(my 17m old tosses it sometimes out of excitement and its still holding good). Battery is also good, last about 8+ hours; the old drawback is that there are very limited apps on Noon web, but I heard there's a way to sideload adds from Amazon that I haven't tried yet. But yes, I would highly recommend it.

I was debating between the Nook Tablet and the Kindle Fire. I sided with the Nook b/c of the brick-and-mortar support at B&N stores, clarity of screen and SD card slot. I am very pleased with the choice I made.

I have tried the IPad, the Kindle, and the Sony, and nothing has worked better than this Nook Tablet. It's light, the screen resolution is amazing for movies, and the applications I use work beautifully. Even the speakers are excellent for what they are. No complaints at all.

Decided upon the NOOK tablet over the Kindle fire. Happy with the choice so far. The 32 gig memory gives lots of possibilties. The reader works well. Using mostly for free audio books downloaded from LIBRIVOX.ORG.

This tablet is awesome...it took me 10 minutes to root it and turn it into a complete Android tablet legally...i did this without changing anything that originally came with the tablet...so now i have the barnes & nobles tablet with full Android market...best of both worlds...simply awesome

- + 1. Великолепный мужской девайс, достаточно прочный, и в тоже время элегантный и стильный. Имеет размер с бумажную книгу и свободно размещается на любой книжной полке вместе с печатными книгами. Корпус выполнен из тёмной, но не чёрной матовой пластмассы. Что в свою очередь даёт приятные тактильные ощущения, а если говорить по-русски: в руках он «тёплый», по сравнению с алюминиевыми аналогами.
2. Рамка, поскольку она матовая, не отвлекает внимание глаз от экрана.
3. Великолепная фирменная обложка с четырьмя точками крепления, на которые планшет крепится намертво. Материал обложки так же матовый и приятный на ощупь.
4. Экран очень яркий, что обеспечивает хорошую видимость при офисном освещении. (А на ярком Солнце хорошо видно только на экранах с электронными чернилами.)
5. Маленький размер пикселей обеспечивает очень качественное отображение текста на экране. Пикселей почти не видно, даже в очках.
6. Хорошая цветопередача и высокий контраст изображения.
7. 32 Гига внутренней памяти. Эту позицию стоит отметить особо, так как ни один производитель не указывает на то, какая именно память внутри девайса и самое главное: сколько циклов перезаписи она выдержит. Дело в том, что внутренняя память используется в качестве системного диска, на котором постоянно идёт перезапись битов обрабатываемой информации. Но количество циклов перезаписи одной ячейки памяти вряд ли превышает 5000 циклов, то из этого обстоятельства следует предположение о том, что чем больший объём уже впаянной памяти - тем оно лучше.
8. Наличие слота для карты памяти.
9. Не очень высокая цена за качественно сделанную ВЕЩЬ.
10. Автономной работы хватает на 10 часов просмотра видео при 25%-ной яркости экрана (больше всё же прослушивание того, о чём говорит докладчик). На работу в интернете полного заряда аккумулятора хватает на 4-6 часов при яркости экрана 25-35%.
11. Очень удачный размер экрана: 9 дюймов при соотношении сторон 3:4 – идеально подходит для чтения и работы с текстом. - - 1. Андройд!!! Столкнулся я с приложениями к этому хвалёному чуду и обомлел… Дело в том, что пользуясь более-менее современным софтом в Windows – я вдруг оказаться в прошлом, в лучшем случае, где-то в самом начале этого века. Если программное обеспечение на платформе Windows позволяет делать все необходимые для работы манипуляции с файлом, то программное обеспечение на Андройде позволяет лишь осуществлять самые минимальные манипуляции.
Поэтому всё же лучше брать планшет на Windows 8, если есть необходимость пользоваться уже привычным софтом и иметь максимум возможностей для работы с файлами. Ну а если просто для интернета в качестве смотрелки и читалки, то вполне подойдёт и Андройд – всё у вас будет летать со скоростью света.
2. Железо отстаёт от требований своего времени года на два, FullHD показывает с большим подтормаживанием. Другое дело, что этот Фул на 9-ти дюймах абсолютно не нужен.
3. Нет на корпусе разъёмов USB для подключения внешних устройств.
4. Нет автоматической регулировки уровня яркости экрана.
5. Покупал в интернет-магазине (располагается на территории телецентра Останкино, это не реклама магазину, просто там продавец очень толковый в области электроники) брал вначале Сентября за 8500рублей + 500 руб. за установку последней версии Андройда и самых необходимых приложений. (Из которых самым полезным приложением оказался Тотал коммандер)
Но дальше начинается бизнес по-русски: фирменная обложка (без которой, ни куда) стоит 2400 рублей при наклеенном ценнике в 40 долларов. Матовая плёнка на экран (то же фирменная) стоит 2000 рублей при наклеенном, но замазанном ценнике в 23 доллара США. Так что, если потребуются дополнительные причиндалы к девайсу – надо приготовиться стать щедрым покупателем…
Прошло какое-то время, и мной было сделано удивительное открытие: оказывается, художественную литературу гораздо интереснее слушать на плеере, ну или на телефоне, чем портить своё зрение при её прочтении.
Всё началось с прослушивания авторского чтения Вени Ерофеева его безсмертного творения «Москва – Петушки». Это стало для меня настоящим потрясением: там столько у него между строк понаписано, что прочитать на бумаге и осознать, что именно там сказано просто не получается. Для этого надо слышать интонацию голоса, местами авторские комментарии, а ещё, конечно же, надо было ЖИТЬ в ту ЭПОХУ, что бы понять всё сказанное автором между строк.
Для читающих текстовый носитель информации – будет только текст и только свои собственные картинки описуемых событий. Голос автора несёт куда больше, чем просто текст, будь он хоть рифмованный. Кому не верится – наберите в поисковике: Александр Галич «Облака», послушайте пару-тройку раз. Если убедитесь, что им сказано сильнее, чем прочитанные вами эти же рифмованные строки, значит, в некоторых случаях, живая речь может быть убедительнее печатного слова (набранного текста).
И вот, после таких размышлений, я и пришёл к выводу о том, что иногда в художественной литературе, записанной на аудиофайлы, встречаются интересные мысли, убедительные фразы, ценные наставления, которые хорошо бы скопировать и разложить по полочкам (в смысле по папочкам). Создавая тем самым свой собственный аудиоцитатник из которого потом можно будет самое ценное переложить на бумагу, используя в качестве аргументов, фактов, цитат и реплик (кстати говоря, многие, до сих пор, цитируют крылатые фразы из советского кино и их смысловое содержание актуально даже в наши дни).

- + - общее качество сборки-изготовления, дизайн, "фирменность" устройства
- цена в 6 тысяч рублей: другие 9-10 дюймовые планшеты с 32 ГБ и разрешением Full HD и выше стоят от 8 т.р. китайские, от 11-12 т.р. - брэндовые.
- хороший аккумулятор, заявленное уверенно держит
- неплохое качество приёма Wi-Fi
- слот для микроСД (на других брэндовых планшетах вроде Apple или Amazon часто отсутствует). - - - нет камеры
- на родной прошивке нет установки из *.apk файлов, только приложения напрямую из ПлэйМаркета.
- железо на сегодня уже средненькое по производительности
- как и писали, экран склонен к заляпыванию
- Модель уже не является совсем безоговорочным выбором из бюджетных 9-10 дюймовок: по этой цене есть 9.7-дюймовые китайцы с 4-ядерными ЦП, 2 Гб ОЗУ, чуть большим разрешением экрана (Retina) и камерой.

- + Отличный экран с разрешением FullHD. Кино смотрится очень хорошо, цвета приятные. При чтении тоже все замечательно, шрифты очень четкие.
В отличие от похожего на него Kindle Fire HD 8.9 в последней официальной прошивке (2.1.0) присутствует Google Play Market, а значит полный доступ ко всем приложениям андроида.
Небольшой вес, один из самых легких планшетов с большим экраном.
Довольно мощная начинка, хороший процессор, без проблем тянет HD-видео, интернет-серфинг и многие игры.
Памяти много, и её можно расширить с помошью карты MicroSD.
Очень хороший встроенный динамик. Для кино, аудиокниг или игр вполне годится.
Отличная сборка и внешний вид. - - Разъем для зарядки и обмена данными нестандартный.
В планшете отсутвуют камеры, USB-OTG, 3G.
Экран немного "желтит". Не сильно, так что особенно не мешает.
При работе нагревается в районе дырки для ремешка. Тоже не сильно, дискомфорта не вызывает.
Планшет в Россию официально не поставляется, могут быть проблемы с поддержкой.
После включения планшет требует обязательной регистрации, и в России она может не сработать по разным причинам. В этом случае его можно зарегистрировать в тестовом режиме. Как это сделать - можно посмотреть на сайте 4pda в теме посвященной этому планшету. При регистрации в тестовом режиме могут быть недоступны некоторые встроенные приложения, но Google Play Market...

4. Не заряжается от пк (только от розетки, хотя может это только у меня так)
Собственная прошивка из коробки мне очень не понравилась, рекомендую сразу использовать CyanogenMod, с этой же прошивкой пробовал карту...

Из коробки после регистрации (для адресов gmail нет проблем в России) и автоматического обновления доступен play.google и русский язык. Если установить права администратора (root, описано на известном сайте и весьма просто в исполнении), то можно изменить размер системных шрифтов и устанавливать любые программы с СД-карточки. Превосходен в качестве ридера, для просмотра и прослушивания контента из интернет. Однако В Контакте и gmail мелкие шрифты и тексты (сообщения) не масштабируются, Канал "Совершенно секретно" онлайн не работает...

Отличный монолит, корпус без отпечатков, но экран быстро заляпывается и довольно сильно зеркалит.
Не знаю как стоковая прошивка не видел, сразу после включения прошил на CM и стал довольно неплохой планшет. Поддерживает все видео-форматы. MKV-аппаратно. FullHD 30fps спокойно тянет, без тормозов и пропусков кадров.

For the price this is a great tablet. It lacks a camera, GPS, and bluetooth, but that still leaves a lot, between web browsing and running lots of Android apps. Barnes and Noble did cripple these with limited software through their store but I did get around that by rooting mine.That said, I was sort of surprised to see this pop up as something recommended by Amazon today. The newer version is faster, has a higher resolution screen, is lighter despite same screen size, and has bluetooth. (Still no camera or GPS). B&N also is now allowing access to the Google Play Store. It is available on the newer version but I don't know if they updated the software for this one to allow access. I suspect they didn't but this would be something to check on if considering purchasing.If you want a tablet for web browsing, checking email, ebooks, video, and many other apps and this is as much as you want to spend, then it isn't a bad deal. I would recommend paying more for the newer version--the Nook HD. (They also make a version with a larger screen, the HD+)Also note that there are third party programs available which will allow you to boot a rooted Android system off of an SD card. This will give more options but I found the original Nook Tablet to be sluggish running off such a card--possibly because I also went to Jelly Bean and this might have been too much for the older tablet. I wound up going back to running the rooted software directly off the tablet (but rooting is more work than inserting a card). The HD works well off a rooted Jelly Bean card.

When B&N designed this one, they were putting together a reading device that also happened to have some tablet features. As a result, what you get is pretty limited.It's a fairly sturdy device by feel, and not difficult to hold for a while and use. The quality of the screen is pretty good and it's not difficult to read for extended periods of time (so long as you're not out in the sun anyway, almost all LCD screens perform poorly there).Very little of the space on the device is available for sideloaded content by default, so you need to use microsd cards to add more if you want to do too much with that.You can sideload content from any source that uses Adobe DRM for epubs, and also epubs that don't have DRM at all. This means that getting ebooks from the library is pretty simple. You can install an Overdrive app and do it directly without going through a computer if your library uses overdrive.You can root it to get access to more apps. If you want to run a more pure version of Android, you can go for either putting together a Cyanogenmod card yourself or purchase one already made from Nook2Android.B&N gives away a book and an app every Friday on their blog, so that's worth checking in on regularly.On the whole, this is an okay device for reading and can be a kind of nice semi-tablet to give to someone who normally tends to load their computers/tablets up with viruses by being carelessness. It's locked-down state works in your favor from that perspective.For more general tablet use, this is a pretty poor choice. Also, as of mid-2013 the later devices (Nook HD/HD+) have been radically marked down, so if you're going to buy one of these you should look to get it pretty cheap. Otherwise, it'd almost certainly make more sense to hold out for something more full-featured.

My wife's Kindle Fire exceeds this tablet in all capabilities. I own a Nook Tablet and I wish I had bought a different tablet. The Nook app store is pathetic, not to mention that most apps that are free for androids cost money on the Nook store. If streaming video from Youtube, this tablet has a tendency to freeze up, the internet has shut down on me many times while checking emails. This tablet also does NOT allow third party application downloads. One good thing that this tablet had was a predownloaded Netflix app, which had quit working. So basically, this so-called tablet is no different than an e-reader. If I could, I would have not purchased this tablet and saved my money for a better one, even the Kindle Fire.

I bought the 2012 Nook and had constant problems with the device going dark. Took it back to B&N many times and finally in 2013, when I was no longer able to access the web, asked for a replacement since I had purchased the extended warranty. After three calls to customer service (each time I was told they would send a replacement) I just gave up. The last time I spoke with a rep was November 12, 2013. Two months later I received a replacement. The battery charges just to 60% and loses charge within a hour. Tricky thing about that extended warranty, when a replacement is sent the warranty is voided.Bottom line, spend the extra money and get a reliable tablet.

From a geek point of view the tablet does not have 16GB for you to use. It's like the PC advertisement from way back when. You get about half of that. They, NOOK, take a large protected area and mark it for NOOK use. You get about half for your gooks and other stuff. The tablet is nice and fits good in your hand. This is nice upgrade for me and I liked the backlight that allows me to read in low light situations. I like it better than the bigger ones. Buy it and you will not regret it.

This is the second one I bought (this was for my mother). The only draw back to this is not being able to access Google Play store. You have to get your apps throught the Barnes and Noble store. Most that are comprable with what you get on full android are not free and they don't get the updates as often.

I thought this was an HD tablet. IT IS definitely NOT. It won't run Google play which is needed to play some of the games I like. I have been shown by a Nook rep @ one of their stores that I can at least download books from my local library which is very important to me.

It is almost like having a mini laptop .. I used it more for emails and games .. the wifi receiver is goodbut sometimes lack the receiving wifi power I think .. it does sometimes not able to connect and musttry several times before it takes .. but other than that its a nice little unit.

This thing has been through so much. Closed in doors, thrown across the room, been the object of desire in a toddler tug of war and it still keep working. It i just fantastic! To any one complaining that he app store for barns and noble is too small I say just sideload google play with the root kit. It is easy and doecker skills to do.

I wife was wanting eBook reader and out of all the different tablets she decided on the Nook! Which in its self if a great piece of hardware very durable! However I'm just waiting for her to get tired of the propriety Nook UI, it took my about 30 seconds to discover the CRAP B&N setup up on this device!!! So when she get fed up with it, I will root it and install a full copy of Android OS on it. May even go for broke and drop Kit Kat on it!!!Barns and Noble - I love your stores, but you are as bad as Apple with propriety BS!!!!

Just picked up a refurbished Nook Tablet from newegg's website and its amazing. Only has a 1024 x 600 pixel screen but from a foot away you can't tell the different between this and a device with 1200 x 800 pixels or more. Reading is a pleasure. I've had all the Kindles and all the Nooks and for the best overall reading experience the Nook is better.Why? The Nook devices feel great to hold. The plastics are soft, all the buttons are in good places, and recharging takes no time at all. Also, the software layout and navigation is easy and logical. Next, the font choices, sizes, and other personalizations are all useful. And finally, no freaking ads. You can personalize your home screen and on the Nook Touch you can select your own photos for the screen saver.What's my problem then with Kindle? Couple things. The ads of course. Also, I personally don't care for the software. You are stuck in their software with no way to personalize it. Boring! Also, the buttons are in bad places so you can accidentally shut the device off. On the lower priced Kindles the font choices are fewer and the smaller size choices are useless unless you use a magnifying glass. And the devices aren't as nice to hold. At least on the Fires they took the idea from Nook on making the backs have a soft plastic.I'm pretty sure that anyone who takes the time to try both Nook and Kindle will like the Nook better. As reading devices go they just make more sense. As far as a full fledged tablet goes you'll have to look to Apple or Samsung in my opinion. Matter of fact I am writing this review on my iPad and shortly I will go back to reading on my Nook Tablet.

I bought the Nook Tablet as a gift because of the previous tablet had been worn out. She adores it and takes it just about everywhere she goes. It's great to help out with homework for those difficult questions that are beyond her parietal's expertise.

I received my Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet for Christmas last year (2011) and my husband received the Kindle HD. I use mine just about daily. I read emails on it, read books, watch Netflix while on the treadmill it's amazing to have. I've had a lot of issues with the HULU app, I've had issues where if it times out while I'm on a page and turns off, I'll try to turn it back on and the page I was reading is not visible. Meaning the page before and after is so I have to go out of the book open another book close that then reopen the book I was reading and magically my page reappears. Now, less than a year later the power cord stopped charging my nook. It looks like it's charging but it is not. Yesterday, I call customer service, and they were helpful until they sent me to some barely English speaking person to help me. I supposedly fall under warranty, they wouldn't help me until I was able to plug the device into a USB port I didn't have one available to me. So after 15 minutes I had absolutely no luck. Today after another 13 minute conversation with someone else who because of the language barrier thought I was asking him to reset my password instead of send me another usb cord(?????) he told me that I should call back in 5 days because they're out of stock on cables. I may get it in the mail though, but in 5 days if I don't, call back and check on it. I got no confirmation number, no confirmation email, nothing. I mentioned that I do use this thing daily. Well now I can't for possibly 5+ days and I'm not super excited about it. I should mention my husband's kindle has the same capabilities as my Nook, and he's not had any problems whatsoever with it.For me to use it daily, means that I really enjoy being able to read a book, read my email, watch a show, but I probably would choose Kindle over Nook, there's really no advantage having the NOOk instead of the Kindle.

It works well but was in poor condition. The power/sync cord did not work and I had to buy a new one. The memory card does not have the available memory that it was supposed to and I had to pay to have it cleaned up.
