Tested with different graphics cards and computers with the same result.
I have a few issues with this product shown below:
1: The product images are showing its a G-SYNC Monitor, its not, its a G-SYNC Compatible Monitor, there is a difference.
2: The flap at the back that covers the cable connections is a bit difficult to close when you have DC Jack, 2xHDMI, DP and Audio Out cables fitted, especially when they all have the RFI filter on each of the cables.
For issue 1 I sort of already knew about due to doing research, so I am fine with that, I could of gone with a ASUS G-SYNC display of the same size for cheaper but I liked this one.
*** UPDATE ***
I have had my second one of these displays for about 2 Months and have had nothing but issues, I have added a video of the fault along with an image of it when its having the issue.
This issue is an intermittent one where it could be fine for a few days and then all of a sudden it has this issue.
I have tried several other display cables including VESA Certified DP 1.4 cables along with the supplied DP cables, first display has no issues with any of the cables.
I have also tried swapping the ports on my ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2080 Ti card and only the new display has the issue.
So from this I am thinking I have just been given a dud display, which I will be returning.
And as for ASUS, they have not even answered any of my Tweets regarding this issues.
So for this issue I have gone down to 2 stars, would of been 5 apart from the issue and the lack of support from ASUS.
Don't get me wrong, the quality of the display is great, sure it suffers with the back light glowing through when displaying dark images, but that is fine.
I will update this review once the issue has been resolved.
However, once you get it assembled and have recovered from the necessary exertions and contortions you will have a truly impressive screen.
Easy setup, great size 27", picture quality is spot on.
Cons.
1 hdmi port, stands take up a fair bit of desk space. When you remove the stands you lose the extra lighting feature.
All in all for what I use them for on gaming with consoles, I've had nothing but good things to say.
On another note with the ps4 pro it outputs as a 4k monitor at 60htz and on the xbox one x it outputs (with freesync enabled) at 1440p at 120htz and 4k at 60htz. (And both at 1080p)
In a nutshell its a nice monitor which is gsync compatiple with nvidia cards and works well with no noticable ips bleed and a great refresh speed of 1ms and can be mounted on a monitor stand streight out the box.
After all that was done, ended up being an amazing monitor, no blur, no input lag, better than my my Acer 240hz in terms of EVERYTHING.
HDR on this thing isnt that great. Colours washed out and brightness is lower. Not a pleasant thing for the eyes.
G sync works amazing on this also.
Finally I'm uncapped frames!!!!! Taking full advantage of my pc hardware. I didnt reliase how much of a machine I had built (lol)
I understand right now theres no way to play fully 144fps in 4k but for what this gives and how awesome picture quality looks with sharpness and colour it's a must buy and then by the time 144fps in 4k is a thing fully, you already have the monitor to do that so win win really.
Quick key points
Easy adjustment like they said.
Easy to set up stand. Litterly felt like plug and play lol.
Images are surreal
HDR is trash for it.
They also include asus made display port cable that can handle 144hz 4k.
Overall from my experience I think its money well spent. A slight knock back to the brightness of colours and were set that's the only reason I knocked at full 5 star off due to how bright they are. Hurts my eyes after awhile! Am sure I'll get used to it since it's obvious my old monitor was cheap and only 60hz. I'll add an edit in a few more days to see if my eyes get better from colours and the 144hz jump from 60hz.
The Down side: Don't even bother unpacking the supplied HDMI and/or Mini Display cable, they're utterly rubbish and don't even support the specs required for this monitor to work properly. Macbook was flickering every few minutes. Luckily the right cables are only one search away. (make sure they support 4k, 144hz refresh rate etc...)
