This is a review of the PG35VQ. The headline specs - 1000nits of brightness, 512 zones of FALD local dimming, 200hz refresh, and G-Sync. This true HDR, the real deal, and nothing like the phoney 300-400nit "HDR" with no local dimming HDR on so many PC displays. On paper, this should be as good as it currently gets on a PC. (at least until the MiniLED panels arrive later this year)

My points of comparison are my old first generation Dell ultrawide for which this was the replacement, and my LG OLED in the living room. The Dell was 300nits of dull, lifeless, washed out flatness, capable of turning even the most dynamic of games something uninspiring. The moment I fired up a game on this Asus, the difference was, to say the least, astounding. I immediately saw near OLED levels of contrast, deep saturated colours, and searingly bright whites. Unlike an OLED, there's no ALB (automatic brightness limiter), so large areas of 1000nit white can fill the screen without the panel going into panic mode and reducing the brightness. This stays bright no matter what. It's too bright at times, in all honesty, but that's a nice problem for an HDR display to have.

As this isn't an OLED, I knew there would however be some caveats, and having read many reviews of this before buying I knew what to look for. First off, fan noise. FALD panels run hot and need fans to keep them cool. I had read the horror stories of the sister panel to this, the Predator X35 with its noisy fan randomly spinning up. On the Asus though, the fan is virtually silent, even when gaming. I can sometimes hear it a little, but it's essentially a non issue. Next up, haloing. This is a glow which can be seen around bright things on a dark background and the FALD brightens the backlight. In exists, and if I move my mouse pointer around on a black background then I can see the haloing. I also see it on HUD elements in dark sections of games. Mostly though, it's another non issue and can't be seen. Finally I was concerned over this being a VA panel, but as long as I sit in the sweet spot, right in front of the screens, it's again, a non issue.

Other things to note - Firstly, HDR in Windows is still a bit of a mess. If you don't have HDR turned on then some games will assume you have an SDR display and won't switch to HDR mode. (some however, do switch). If you run some SDR games with HDR turned on, they're a blown out incredibly bright mess. Windows itself is also a little too bright with HDR on, even with the HD colour settings tweaked as much as possible, but if you turn it off, as well as losing HDR in some games, you also lose the ability to play HDR video. It clearly needs more work.

I went through a good selection of games in Steam and GamePass, and here are a few real HDR ultrawide standouts - Jedi Fallen Order, Gears of War 5, Metro Exodus, Forza Horizon 4, GRID, Shadow Warrior 2,
Monster Hunter World, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. There are few upcoming HDR games this year which I expect will also impress - Doom Eternal, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Cyberpunk.

Secondly, this monitor includes an audio DAC and has a 3.5mm audio jack. This is listed as a headphone socket, but is fine for powering speakers too. A nice little bonus, especially if you have a second device plugged in through HDMI which needs audio out.

Thirdly, backlight uniformity isn't great. When I look at a full screen of black, I can see a lighter patch in the middle of the screen. This isn't noticeable in actual real world use, but I imagine I might notice it during a very dark section of a movie.

And finally GSync is pretty damn amazing. I had only ever owned 60hz displays before, and the jump to 144hz and above (assuming you have the graphics card to power it) is truly amazing. The fluidity is genuinely game changing. Even Windows is so much nicer at 144hz.

Also, one little quirk with this screen is that in HDR mode it defaults to a contrast of 90. This completely blows out several games so they look pretty terrible. I found that a setting of 70-75 transforms them, and it's rather baffling why Asus chose such a poor default.

I did run into some issues using a Framemeister with this plugged into HDMI, but I won't pad this review further with the specifics. It's solvable and if anyone has problems leave me a comment and I'll fill you in. In short, 960p DVI doesn't work on this panel.

This is an incredibly expensive display and for the price it should be genuinely amazing, and it is. Gaming on this thing is just phenomenal. If you've been used to an non dimming SDR display, this will be an utter revelation. As for comparisons to my OLED, well the OLED still wins in all honesty, due to its per pixel dimming, incredible panel uniformity, and superior colour accuracy, but this is a very honourable second place. If you can stomach the cost, then this monitor will amaze and delight you. Oh and you can turn off all the gamer RGB nonsense too.

240fps looks amazing. I was a 4k gamer before that and heard all the pros play with high refresh rate. I played 4k for over 2 years now but was curious what exactly 240fps looks like.
It is amazing, even though I had a downgrade in resolution, the frame rate has quadrupled. Its like driving a car that goes 60mph and driving a car that goes 240mph.
You will easily predict where your opponents go in matches. In gears of war 4 horde mode, playing as the sniper is so easy to hit headshots even when an enemy is running sideways far away from me which is near impossible on 60 fps.
Mind you also need hardware to support the high refresh rate. I have a gtx 1060 and a i5 6600k. I have to be honest, my frames are usually around the 140-160 mark but it feels so smooth and responsive that I am going to upgrade to a gtx 1080 so I can get a consistent near 200fps or more. I play my games on full HD, low graphic settings to get the most out of the frame rate. If you are a pc gamer or looking to become one, from someone who has had a high res and a high refresh rate monitor, I 100% encourage you to go for a lower res with a high refresh rate monitor.

Il confezionamento del prodotto si mostra abbastanza buono e solido per il trasporto. Tutto stà sempre ai corrieri, il mio è arrivato sdraiato con alcune scatole sopra -_-‘ con una botta in un angolo ma che NON ne ha precluso il funzionamento.
L’unboxing è stato facile, grazie anche i pochi video online, e cmq il codice stampato all’esterno della scatola è PG43U e basta. Successivamente riconosciuto da alcuni soft con PG43U altri con PG43UQ…cosa che ancora non approfondisco del perché questo dettaglio variabile.

Qualitativamente il monitor è di Ottima fattura, con audio passante da dport 1.4, anche discreto ma non vi aspettate bassi profondi. Mi sarei aspettato dei neri più veri, molto di più del normale nero di un LCD, invece siamo lì. Il monitor è arrivato a 0 pixel bruciati (per fortuna) e c’è nella garanzia la solita <5 o >5 come garanzia generale.

Mi sarei aspettato davvero di più, ma considerando che è il primo DSC con 144Hz in 4K e dport 1.4, comprendo anche la mossa di mercato.

I 144Hz in 4K li raggiungerete solamente in sogno!!! Uso una asus strix 2080Ti OC su un Intel i9 9900KF con 32gb a 3200hz ed ho cercato di raggiungere il massimo degli FPS con COD Modern Warfare ma è letteralmente IMPOSSIBILE XD, ho dei droprate assurdi. I settaggi grafici sono in 4K full ULTRA + RTX. In pratica si gioca fin dall’inizio dai 58/50 ai 120hz variabili in moltitudini condizioni ed anche andando avanti nel gioco è questa la realtà. La fluidità c’è, ma non vi aspettate i miracoli!
Per farla breve è un’utopia raggiungere 144hz stabili durante tutti i titoli del momento (ma era cosa nota nel momento in cui recensisco 09/03/2020).
(chiaramente i test sono stati fatti STOCK, senza alcun OC di nessun tipo. Sistemando bene windows10 ed i settaggi della MB sono arrivato a 80/110fps. Probabilmente è possibile guadagnare ancora un 20fps ma non è alla portata di tutti, in quanto sono OC spinti al massimo)

Confermo il funzionamento con il cavo HDMI 2.0 a 120hz, ma unicamente alla risoluzione 2560 × 1440 (QHD, WQHD)!!!

Parto col dire che l'esemplare che mi è arrivato è assolutamente perfetto: nessun pixel difettoso, nessuna traccia di sporco dietro al pannello, retroilluminazione omogenea. Questo modello monta un pannello AUO particolare, prodotto esclusivamente per il pg258q e anche altri 2 esemplari che ho visionato da miei conoscenti erano perfetti.
Da assiduo utilizzatore di videogiochi competitivi online, possiedo già un altro modello con pannello TN 240hz del quale sono soddisfattissimo.. istantaneamente sono diventato dipendente dei 240hz, perché offrono un'esperienza visiva impareggiabile.
Per quanto mi riguarda non c'è paragone con 4k\1440p, hdr, oled e cose simili. La vera esperienza videoludica si acquisisce avendo un effetto smooth TOTALE delle immagini in movimento, con tutti i dettagli sempre perfettamente fermi e a fuoco qualunque scrolling\rotazione subisca l'immagine e tutti gli elementi che la compongono. Oltre a questo, la riduzione dell'input lag rende l'interazione col gaming assolutamente 1:1, andando ad eliminare qualsiasi "filtro" tra il vostro controller\mouse e l'alter-ego virtuale.
Questo è vero gaming per me. Inutile dire che gli occhi ringraziano (intendo anche a livello di comfort visivo) e pure le performance online.
Il pg258q ha un pannello incredibile in fatto di pixel response, dettando nuovi standard a riguardo.
Col profilo ICC reperibile su un noto sito che recensisce monitor e i settings da loro consigliati, il pg258q se la cava bene tutto sommato anche in fatto di colori. Per il sottoscritto è un pannello da gaming puro che merita a occhi chiusi 5 stelle su 5, con un film opacizzante che per fortuna è molto meno invasivo di quello che montava il pg278q.
Strutturalmente il monitor è curato, con una base stabile che consente le solite regolazioni delle basi professionali. Esteticamente il look cibernetico e futuristico può piacere o non piacere, ma dona al monitor la personalità che merita (io sono per look più sobri e seri sinceramente). Il logo che viene proiettato sul tavolo funziona bene, ma lo lascerò disattivato per sempre.
Il monitor monta il modulo gsync che fa il solito ottimo lavoro, sincronizzando il refresh del pannello coi frame in uscita dalla scheda video, per immagini prive di stuttering e tearing. L'esperienza su Battlefield1, Counter Strike e titoli simili che uso ogni giorno è di altissimo livello.
E' compatibile anche con 3d vision2 per gli amanti del 3d con occhiali attivi nVidia (kit non incluso voglio precisare).
L'alimentatore è esterno col solito mattoncino visto sugli altri monitor Rog.
Il menu a schermo per i settings è asciutto.. c'è quasi tutto lo stretto necessario per un monitor destinato a questo utilizzo, se non fosse per la mancanza della regolazione del parametro della definizione (avrei preferito regolarla un filo più elevata per rendere i pixel più vividi).
La risoluzione 1080p abbinata a una diagonale tra 23 e 25 pollici rimane secondo me la scelta migliore per un gamer che fa competizione online: la definizione è più che soddisfacente, il carico sulla gpu non è eccessivo e permette l'erogazione di tanti frame per secondo, infine la diagonale e il rapporto d'aspetto permettono di tenere facilmente tutto sotto controllo. Ho provato tutti i vari modelli 21:9 gaming, ma questi fulminei "piccoletti" sono impareggiabili dal mio punto di vista.

Seriously disappointed and annoyed with this monitor. Totaly unacceptable build quality issues for a £1,000 monitor.

There is horrendous back light bleed. The image is completely washed out and almost gone after only moving a few degrees around the monitor. Black levels are aweful straight on (very washed out dark areas)

Worst of all is the Yellowing. There is a permanent yellow tint that I cannot correct with settings. it's almost as thought the blue light filter is on, but permanently.

Build quality / Quality control is "meh" at best. The monitor itself is wonky on the base (There is no swivel adjustment) and the right side is slightly higher than the left (enough to be distracting)

Thankfuly i'll never use them, but the inbuilt speakers are very "Smartphone from 10 years ago" All tin and rattles. Seriously, TV's at half the price have sound technology that is miles ahead of this.

After going through hours of monitor tests and calibration images, I cannot get this to even display full colour gradients (Which my budget samsung can)

This is not on for a £1,000 gaming monitor. My £99 24" Samsung had better color reproduction and almost totaly pure whites compared to this.

From researching forums and seeing other reviews, buying these monitors is a STRAIGHT UP LOTTERY! If you're willing to gamble and roll the £1,000 dice, go for it. If you get a good one, it's a breathtaking display. but prepare for the possible disappointment.

Will be requesting a refund and exchange for something else.

I've been an ASUS fan for years, and most of my build is all ASUS RoG gear, but it feels like their build quality, and QC have slipped as of late on many of their items. Time to start a new build with a new theme methinks.

Update: March 2020: Still stuck with the same monitor. Amazon are unwilling to ship me a replacement and seem largely uninterested in providing any support.

ASUS Direct have been more helpful, but their only solution is to send me a "service exchange" monitor (Which basically means they will give me a dusted, second hand monitor)

If I was buying a cheap-o screen, yeah fine. But to drop a grand on a faulty display, then have both the retailer and manufacturer basically tell me you're either stuck with what you got, or you can have a second hand unit. No thanks. Last piece of tech I buy from Amazon...

This monitor is noticably fast. The refresh rate, response time and Gsync make it a very powerful asset for games like CS:GO, Battlefield etc making for an incredibly smooth experience. Do you need 240hz over 120Hz? Unless you only play CS:GO, probably not because most games won’t perform at that high frame rate consistently. But when you look at the market you’ll be lucky to get 120Hz gsync monitor much cheaper than this one at the moment. Only thing I don’t like Is the contrast ratio of TN panels but that’s nothing specific to this monitor in question, it’s 95% of “gaming” monitors. Seen some reports of “bad backlight bleed” but outside of the normal spill around the edges I’ve not had any issues there. Anything other than an OLED panel with have a certainly level of backlight bleed. The monitor it’s self is very robust and has a great build quality. So far I’d say worth the money.

A vertical line of distortion appears randomly in the centre of the screen creating a mirror image on the left or right extreme edge of the screen.

Apparently this is known problem with this model (Asus ROG themselves posted about it on their website). Not known to me before I bought it! Asus request buyers do an RMA and send it to Asus so that they can update the firmware, with the consumer footing the postage bill!!

Amazon should not be selling a defective product. I can't fault it for actually playing a game it's just going back to the desktop when things to wrong. A real shame because that 165Hz overclock was outstanding.

Do yourself a favour and buy something else.

I should add this is the PG279QE, since this review section appears to have mixed in reviews of other Asus monitors which is rather stupid.

I have specifically bought this monitor for one purpose: Multitasking.

Other than the fact that I now have more horizontal screen space on my multiple windows, I can also run my games on 3440x1440 at 120 Hz.

With the addition of G-Sync, it makes the Ultrawide experience flawless.

Even though I downgraded from 165 Hz to 120Hz, it was totally worth it. Bear in mind, I only play fast-paced games casually. Most of the time, I play driving games, such as Forza Horizon 4 and Project Cars 2.

For those two games, other than VR support on Project Cars 2, the immersion in racing is unmatched, in comparison to a 16:9 monitor. The curvature of the monitor also adds a lot to the immersion. It is a very impressive monitor indeed.

Other than the fact that the price is extortionate, I would highly recommend the monitor for immersion purposes in games, or for multitasking on multimedia.

The graphics card used for this monitor was a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super.

The reviews online saying it is the best monitor for gaming is an understatement. TN panels are meant to have bad viewing angles, but damn is this thing great with angled viewing for a TN panel! Also, the brightness is so strong that I had to turn it down a lot, which is awesome!

The monitor design is so sexy that you just want to feel it up all day (gigity) and the cable management is great for keyboard and mouse too! You have so many great picture settings for different games depending on if you want scenic or prefer framerate!

There are options to add a selection of crosshairs to the screen for extra precesion or because your character doesn't have them unless scoped (so a bit cheaty lol)! The settings buttons on the side of the monitor are pleasant to operate, but this monitor lacks instructions to tell you how to setup some things and it didn't explain how to get rid of said crosshairs or the FPS counter on screen. I had to ask other people for that, which is why this is 4 stars, otherwise it is 10/5!

Hotly anticipated, I ordered this greatly reviewed monitor (27" 16:9 1440p IPS). I was in awe upon unpackaging it and plugging it in. But then I turned it on....... Oh no, the dreaded backlight bleed. As you can see in the image, it was attrocious and unusable. I made sure to tell Amazon as much.

I of course started the return process only to be told they can't replace it! Ridiculous! So I have been left no option but to get a refund and reorder. I'm sure it is an epic panel when properly built, but for now, I am left wanting.

I recommend this monitor, but expect to have to return it the long way round. All other similar monitors from other manufacturers use the same panel, so this sorry story is the same and common across all competition.

The optimistic few that keep trying are often rewarded for their perserverence, and I am determined to be one of them. I will update when my quest meets it's end, one way or another.....

Edit: 3 time lucky! I finally got a monitor with decently little backlight bleed.
This monitor has changed my life!! High refresh rate with beautiful colours is an experience to behold. I thoroughly recommend getting one if you can put up with the lottery.

I’ve owned other ultra wide monitors and IPS glow seems to be always an issue. This monitor had a fairly balanced colour temperature on entire panel however IPS flow was present where I was hoping it would be eliminated (just assuming because of the price). I would have kept it but unit I have received had cosmetic fault at the back. Backlit ASUS logo was not fitted in properly/was slightly pushed in which I found unacceptable especially when paying this kind of money for monitor. Issues with returning the item to Amazon requires completely separate review to be written.

Der PG279QE ist der Nachfolger des PG279Q, die beiden Modelle sind nahezu identisch. Die Specs sind die gleichen, es wird das gleiche Panel verwendet, das Feature-Set ist das gleiche.
Das einzige, was sich leicht verändert hat, ist das Design, aber auch nur minimal, wie aus den Fotos ersichtlich ist. Deutlichster Unterschied ist die nun fehlende Beleuchtung am Standfuß.

Dass die beiden Modelle fast identisch sind, heißt leider auch, dass sie zwar die selben Qualitäten haben, aber auch unter denselben Problemen leiden.
Ich hatte die naive Hoffnung (nachdem ich bereits einen PG279Q wegen Pixelfehlern zurücksenden musste), dass die Qualitätskontrolle beim Nachfolger verbessert wurde. Dem ist leider nicht so - auch mein Exemplar des PG279QE hatte wieder einen Pixelfehler. Bei einem günstigeren Produkt würde ich deswegen kein Aufhebens machen, aber bei 750 € erwarte ich ein fehlerfreies Produkt.

Was sich meinem subjektiven Eindruck nach beim PG279QE verbessert hat, ist das Backlight Bleeding; allerdings ist das ohnehin von Modell zu Modell unterschiedlich, vielleicht hatte ich bei meinem in der Hinsicht einfach Glück.

Was den Rest angeht, haben die vielen Rezensionen zum PG279Q eigentlich schon alles gesagt. Deshalb nochmal zusammenfassend: Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger macht der PG279QE nichts schlechter, aber auch nichts besser. Es ist praktisch derselbe Monitor.

I have had this monitor for 7 months now and I have absolutely no issues with it. Gaming is simply awesome on it and at 200hz the games are super smooth but you do need a beefy graphics card to run games at a respectable frame rate. Both SDR and HDR is amazing but there is a lack of HDR titles at the moment.
I have not experienced any flickering and the fans are only barely audible and most of them time you don’t even know they are on. I read that if you set the deep sleep options on this eradicates the noise which seems to work for me. I also keep the plate that hides the ports off as this may keep it cooler and quieter. The build quality is phenomenal.
Overall, it’s an amazing monitor for gaming, movies and work - 5/5.

I had high hopes for this monitor, but I have been constantly disappointed. I was willing to forgive the weird looking text due to the BGR (rather than RGB) subpixel layout, but this monitor also has an incredibly annoying backlight flicker whenever variable refresh rate (VRR) is enabled.

When running the monitor with VRR off the picture is stunning and the HDR 1000 brightness is incredible, but being unable to use this monitor without disabling one of it's major features is an absolute deal breaker. I purchased this monitor in May and having now spent nearly 4 months testing a total of 3 monitors though the ASUS ROG RMA process I am now completely done with any hope of receiving a fully functional screen. The money they are asking for this thing is an absolute disgrace.

As of August 26th 2020 the monitor has ceased working entirely with the splash logo barely flickering when powered on, no OSD is visible and the screen is completely blank.

Purchased this in September of 2018. Since I bought it It has always had a weird screen glitch where occasionally a black line appears across the screen at random times. This really annoys me as I payed £500 for this monitor and I thought it would be good quality. The monitor has a good menu and you can customise a lot of the settings. It also has a very nice refresh rate of 240hz which is very nice for gaming. Overall I wouldn't buy this as it is very expensive and if its defective like mine it would be a big waste of money.

I got this on a deal through Amazon, where a German firm was selling second hand, but was being backed by the Amazon warranty, so I didn't get it brand new.
As far as I can tell the only difference was that the box was different and the power supply unit came with an EU plug, but no dead pixels and everything else was included.
Anyway, onto the review - Stunning! I already had another g-sync screen to compare it too. The Asus is better quality, after a bit of tuning on colours, looks great and is smooth as silk on fps games. A very good purchase.

Disgusted, Disheartened and extremely-stressed; these feeling what i was engulfed in, over a week regarding asus Rog-swift (PG348Q).

I bought this product for gaming/movies. I was on the market for a exstrely-vibrant, color-accurate, sharp-picture, so i found the Asus ROG-SWIFT (PG348Q) which ticked every box on my need list... i looked at alot of reviews about this monitor which all mostly positivity: 'YouTube', 'amazon' Althat, So I bought the monitor for £1,095 new. the seller was amazon the monior came with 3 year warranty from asus.

My experience with PG348Q

I had the product for 5 months no
fault. one night I turn the monitor on for game of Black ops 3, and out of the blue the screen starts spacing out on me, first I thought it was the hdmi cable, I turned the monior off then turn it on, it stoped for a couple of seconds', then started again - I was worried at that point. Up to this point there was nothing wrong with the monior... I enjoy playing and whaching movies on the monior the reviews do not lie the picture is breathtaking.

I phoned amazon about the fault one of the amazon technicel engineer troubleshooted the monitor the fault was still there after, so technical engineer gave me ASUS phone number so I rang it explained my fault in detail, the employee of the technical department at ASUS troubleshooted the monitor and wanted pictures so I gave him the first picture through email to ASUS technicel department which was the one i put on amazon of the red, blue, green vericel lines. He questioned me on the fault like physical damage etc, which wasn't the cause to the fault. So Aftre baslickly he said "we can't send you a new one out it's like for like" I said "no why should i, i bought this new, i only had it for 5 months, I saved for months worked my entire summer away for this monitor, then I get this employee at ASUS say "like for like" like it was a second hand monitor... this argument went on for days in to a week back and fourth from amazon to asus. I got stressed and more stressed with this problem, I'm under the mental health with stress, anxiety and OCD; i am not saying this for empathy but this is how ASUS treats their
customers. This left me disgusted, disheartened with Asus. At this point I'm just exstremly-stress out this case was on the edge of a lawsuit with amazon. So they said: "Just send it back to us and we'll fully-refund" so i got every penny after all that aggravation. i'll never buy eny-thing which is asus band again.

Upgraded from a 60Hz to this.

The difference is massive. People are sceptical about the whole refresh rate thing, stating that the eye cannot detect it (my Dad being one of them). When I showed him this vs a 60Hz he couldn't believe it.

I highly recommend this monitor.

It came well packaged, with everything you need (even a HDMI and DP leads!).

The only suggestion I give is that you probably need to turn the brightness down to about 25.

EDIT: after owning this monitor for a week it now has quite a large dead pixel on the screen, very visible and distracting on white screens. After spending £500 this isn't really what i expect

The main issue with the other monitors seems to be backlight bleeding from IPS panels, but on this 24.5 inch TN panel right now it's perfect, 240hz as advertised. The only issue for me is the stand is a little big, a little bit unnecessary but I just need to buy a bigger desk really. You can turn the display light off underneath the monitor so not sure why I've seen people complaining about that. And that's about all really, colour quality is better than my 60hz benq monitor. Overall just a very nice monitor

The product is one of the OG IPS 1440p panels and promises a lot. The g-sync module is great and the performance is good too. Games are smooth on it.
HOWEVER.... the quality control is poor, mine had very poor backlight bleed, IPS glow and image retention was an issue as well. If the panel was properly QC’d it would be a different story.

AMAZING MONITOR !!!! ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER USED! I thought i would be disappointed with no VA panel but the IPS is just fine its so bright that at times even during the day i cant even adapt to its amazing bright screen!

Nvidia Gsync is flawless and so smooth... 120Hz is an upgrade to my previous 100 FreeSync monitor...

The contrast brightness and saturation is great... nothing too bad just needs a tiny tweeking on the Nvidia Control panel and /or calibration the screen, but other than that the 2K screen is flawless... the curved is perfect for my set up... not too curved and the width is great too!

I would 100 percent reccomend these over the Alien Ware and most other products... you wont be disappointed...

The only drawback is the built in speakers...but i feel like its pointless and i never use it due to me having a set up for speakers already...

Picture quality is fine for me, same or better than a 27inch samsung monitor I was using. No dead pixels and arrived in 2 days with free shipping with Hermes. First thing I did was test 240hz with the "UFO Test: Multiple Framerates" website and it's the performance is the real deal. I chose this monitor because I'm on a 980ti, i7 4770 so 1080p will do fine for me whilst still having GSync. Maybe I could have chosen a cheaper one but w/e. Frame/stand build quality reflects price. I haven't tested the SRGB mode on games to see the difference but gSync works fine.

I love this monitor, its sleek and easy to adjust on the fly, i can happily switch from one game to the other.
The only small note i would say is the preset gaming modes need to be trialled with your games to get the colours right, the presets are quite washed out if you've adjusted gamma etc fro a different monitor.
Well worth buying and i will be investing in another one before too long to set up a dual screen setup with this monitor, plus it's got a 3 year warranty :)

I already have the Asus Rog PG279Q which is a 165hz monitor at 1440p. I use a GTX 1080Ti so i wanted to push my frame rate. After reading all the reviews on this monitor i made the jump and purchased it. I can hand on heart say this monitor is an absolute BEAST! Anyone that says that the jump from 144hz to 240hz is hardly noticeable must be blind. The smoothness and snappy response is unreal. The only downside i can think is that i was used to 1440p and i downgraded to 1080p so sharpness isnt as good but i will take performance over visuals everytime. My PG278Q is now being used as a secondry monitor as this is just TOO GOOD!
