I love it. The iPhone 5s is an evolution of the iPhone 5, and isn't necessarily a must-have. It ushers in new technologies that will soon be standard on all of Apple's devices. While most consumers will be happy with the 5c, the 5s is better-suited for gamers and power users. If you want a phone that just works, then the iPhone 5S is a very good place to start. Apple has made it look effortless which is no simple task, and in doing so - by making it look almost too easy - you can sometimes miss the beauty and power in your hand. It's stunning to use, there's stacks of power, it's without gimmicks and a nod to the future. It's these simple elements that make the iPhone 5S, for us, one of the best phones on the market. There's a lot to admire about that.

The phone was in great physical condition when I received it. It had very little wear on it. About a week after using the phone, I could not get it to charge or even turn on. I did some troubleshooting such as buying a new charger to no avail. So I brought it in to my local Sprint store to find out it had a one year warranty. I was delighted! I brought it to the apple store and they said the phone was defective. They swapped the defective.phone for a brand new iphone 5s. I would definitely buy from this person again.

I bought this product a couple of months ago, and it shipped and delivered timely! I am very pleased with the phone because it looked brand new and worked fine! HOWEVER, I soon found out that this phone is not unlocked, and is locked to AT&T. My carrier is under AT&T, it's called Red Pocket but the data doesn't work and the reason being why is because it isn't unlocked. So I have to get the phone unlocked and or switch my carrier. Honestly, this is the only problematic thing about the phone.

I bought this used through Amazon Warehouse deals to save money. It came in the box just like new. Good price. No signs of wear on the phone. As an upgrade from the 4S, I would say I am overall happy with the 5S. It is lighter, faster, and bigger so no complaints there. I bought this to use on the Ting network, which saves me a lot of money on my phone bill. My average bill is $30+ a month for full service. The difference is that I pay by usage. As long as I do not go crazy with data, calling, texting, etc. my bills stay low. The highest bill I have ever had was $55. Some bills were as low a $24. So I recommend saving the money on an expensive cell phone plan and using this great iPhone from Apple.

I think the good and bad of iPhone 5S are well known and I won't dwell on them here.
I had an iPhone 4S and wanted to upgrade to a newer model with more storage 64 gb and didn't want to get iPhone 6. Since 64gb is discontinued on new models of iPhone 5S from Apple, the only way to get it is through resellers like Amazon. I highly recommend Amazon warehouse deals, because you can return them if not satisfied. I initially got iPhone 5 and returned it without trouble. This one, I will keep, because it works well and suits my needs.

Total Piece of Junk. Our company distributed these paper weights 4 months ago. What junk. Text messaging doesn't work half the time on Verizon. Battery life is atrocious. I need chargers everywhere. The Safari browser sucks. Proprietary charger sucks. I cant turn the brightness up to a usable level or my battery is sucked dry in half a day. To think this can be used for business is ridiculous. There are so many complaints we are now testing Windows phones. A much better choice for business. Let's face it, the real IPhone user is primarily interested in gaming apps anyway. Great for little kids I guess.

It is simply a fine versatile smart phone, it has all of the capabilities and apps I can even think of. Buying refurbished it was easy to afford 64 GB, able to hold and manage my large music and photo/video libraries. As soon as I started it up it began synchronizing with my two Apple laptops, and now is continuously updated, and all devices are able to use the Apple system transparently, including iCloud iTunes and the many good supported apps. I bought the 5s because it's the right size for me. It fits easily in any pocket. The pictures are good enough that I almost never use my digital cameras. This iPhone is always with me and there is very little that he can't do.

Sweet upgrade from my old iPhone 4. If your 4, like mine, got slow with iOS-7, the 5S will restore the snappy performance of earlier iOS versions. I have not found any area where I think the 4 was better. I guess a 6 would be nicer yet, but not worth the extra dosh for me. Note that unlike earlier Verizon compatible CDMA phones, the 5s does require a SIM card from Verizon to operate. You won't be able to use the phone at all without one. Verizon provided this to me at no charge.

I purchased the gold 16 GB variation of the iPhone 5s and it is so beautiful for a device. The gold color on the back is very light, more like a champagne color, but it's a very unique and unseen color for any phone, which makes, whoever buys it, stand out and unique. it's an iPhone, so that only means that it's synonymous with greatness! I love the new, fresh OS that came preloaded on the device, and the hardware is excellent too, especially the newly-debuted fingerprint reader. This phone is just downright simplistic and user-friendly that even your nana or grandpa can use it.

The worst decision I have ever made. This phone overheats on the charger every night now and will die in a matter of an hour. I have only had this phone for 2 months and honestly things just keep getting worse. I guess that is what I get for buying a refurbished phone. It's honestly worth the extra $100 to just buy from Apple. Then at least you know it will work and you can have them fix it or bring it back if it doesn't. I'm very disappointed.

I was a little skeptical at first about buying this phone from amazon because i got it at the price $499 (brand new!! Sealed) but i couldn't be happier! The phone of course is running ios 7 straight from the box and the touch i.d is probably the best thing ever. If you're debating whether to get the 5c or 5s definitely spend a little more for the 5s its totally worth it. The camera is great. Extremely fast and extremely clear. There are new options on it like the slomo effect which is fun to play with. The dual tone flash takes mobile picture taking to a whole other level. The best camera on a phone in the market. Take that from someone who has had a galaxy note 2 and samsung galaxy s3. The screen size is something people might not want to over look. If you have extremely big hands i would say go in store and try it out, see how well you can operate it. But its definitely "one handable" meaning you can use it with only one hand and not ever have to over stretch. The resolution is crystal clear, no doubt about that. Although the phone is 1.2 ghz it is blazing fast. It is a 64 bit. I can play heavy games like GTA and not ever freeze on me, even with lots of apps running in the background. Battery life is as expected when dealing with apple. But one thing i have noticed standby times are incredibly great. I can go to sleep with my phone at 100% and wake up and its at 99% sometimes still 100%. This phone is not "droppable" you'll have lucky moments when you drop it and it doesn't shatter but if it falls too high and too hard or at the wrong angle, your screen will be gone. Though I've had mine for over a month I haven't cracked it because i always keep it in a case. So invest in something protective like a speck case or otterbox or some generics.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL BUYING THIS PHONE. I read a lot of reviews saying that the phone worked and a few saying it didn't...I bought it, the box came with a Sprint sticker on it, but it is not a Sprint phone. I brought it to my Sprint store to have it activated, and was told by 3 different people that it is not Sprint compatible. I'm very disappointed. I would recommend getting this phone elsewhere, if you can.

If you're going to use only Apple downloads and apps, and not use Audible or anything else that isn't bought from Apple, then this phone might be okay. However, Apple discriminates against products not bought from the iTunes store. For example, an audio book bought from iTunes can be backed up to the iTunes library on one's PC. Not so with an Audible book downloaded with the Audible app. So far, I have not found any way to back it up into the iTunes audiobook library on my PC.
In addition, Apple seems to use my cellular data on a daily basis to upload about half a megabyte (think of a 100,000 word term paper's worth of data) daily, even when I have turned off push notifications, Siri, location services, and just about everything else. The only thing that stops this upload is turning off wifi and cellular data. So much for having a "smartphone"!
Then there's the matter of "garbage collection". When one loads something onto the phone and later deletes it, the storage doesn't seem to become available. One has to back up the phone and restore it in order to have that storage amount available again.
And, then there are the bugs. Sometimes the backup and restore fails to restore the photo album. Other times, it fails to restore the ringtones. And, if you manage to change the setting for manually dealing with music, a restore might try to load all your audiobooks onto the iPhone. The only thing that gets this to stop may be to restore to factory settings, and then to manually add back everything.

I'm very happy with my iPhone 5s; I've used it since launch without major complaint. A few of the smaller iOS updates had glitches that were annoying as always, but they have so far, always been quick to rollout the next update with the repairs. This is a good size and weight for my severely arthritic hands to hold and function with. I use this as my primary phone, for a lot of reading via the Kindle and Ebooks Apps, streaming music, email, social media. It works fast for me regardless or whether I'm on Wifi or 3G or higher connections.
Has been durable - as someone who manages to break everything - this has continued to survive me.

So I ordered this phone which is new and I got a used phone. Furthermore it is supposed to be factory unlocked but it's unlocked by AT&T. I entered the IMEI online and checked it. The phone was bought and activated in May 2014 six months ago. Half of the warranty is gone. The cables are old, soiled and dirty. The phone has scratches on the side. The headphones are fake. I can tell from the sound quality and there is no apple logo at the back of the headphones case. The box was unsealed and is not original. I received a 16 gb phone in a 32 gb box. I don't know if words can describe my frustration right now. Have a look at the pictures. Also the "R" and "L" are fading from the headphones. The phone was dirty and had finger prints over it.

This phone is quite simply Incredible! The pace of the phone the M7 Chip! Everything which is inside is needed in a phone and it works perfectly! The Camera is amazing the Burst Shots and Slo mo is just amazing! I see everybody picks out all of the bad stuff about this phone but you have to look at the amazing capabilities of this Phone the Touch ID the Camera! It is easily the fastest device, the most battery efficient and All-round best looking phone! I adore my 5S I just can't say anything bad against it! It is Absolutely amazing! Can't wait until 2yrs time till I can get my upgrade :D Well done apple!

There’s not much point talking about the iPhone 5S’s performance here other than to say it’s very, very fast and extremely reliable. I’ve not experienced any issues with apps misbehaving other than the Pages app, which has since been fixed. Apple’s iOS certainly has its limitations but the fact that it just keeps working well is a godsend to those too busy to learn every little foible of their phone. I’ve not experienced the slow-down effects that tend to occur on Androids after lots of apps and updates have been installed - the iPhone 5S is rock solid.
iOS 7 is a wonderfully simple operating system and while quite a few complained about the new design I was delighted with it, as well as the added touches. While the ‘Today’ notification isn’t something I’ve taken to, the multitasking menu and the Control Centre are great and the lack of them was one of the reasons I picked Android over iOS in the past. The Control Centre is still missing a quick access button into settings which is particularly annoying when wanting to switch Wi-Fi networks. It’s the apps available on the app store that cinched it for me, though. As a mobile gamer the depth and breadth of titles is fantastic – Limbo, for example is a great little game that you can’t get anywhere else.

I bought this phone on last August but i got blue screen on it and tried to fix with one year warranty. However when i went to apple store, they said i could not get 1year warranty bc it already expired.
DO NOT BUY THIS. it is totally used or old one you can not get any free repair if you got some problems.

Following ownership of a iPhone 4 years ago - I became very frustrated with Apple as the locks on music transfers and the complexities for moving pictures etc it drove me crazy!
So I exchanged out to a Samsung Galaxy S4... great phone, great Apps, functionality very good - but the flaws of Samsung OEM Apps and the Google App takeover is confusing... Android have some wonderful Apps both OEM and third-party BUT, and it is a big BUT - none of the Apps are complete! Non of them do what an Apple App do - what with the various ways of syncing calendars and photo's - I have duplicated music and photo's all over the place as it's like a civil war App going off inside the phone software! It's crazy!!
As a result I decided to go back to Apple iPhone - it's got simpler with the 5S, in no way perfect (10/10) I'd say more a 8/10 but compared to the Samsung Galaxy S4's overall rating I'd give it a 6.5/10 - purely down to the internal conflicting Apps.
Apart from the obvious (iPhones are better looking (exc HTC One M8)) there is very little difference in the actual technical specifications - the iPhone probably just clinches it but the software in the Samsung has left it flailing...

This was a better experience than I expected. The phone came with the original box, marked with a dirty "Used" sticker. The charger, the cord, and earbuds were included. None of it looked like it had been used before, but who really wants a pair of used earbuds? Not a scratch was on the phone, no lint, no signs of pocket use or humidity. There were some finger smudges on the screen and the back, but who cares at this price. I was abel to activate the phone in 5 minutes. The wife loves it, and it seems like the phone works the way it should. It was factory reset and ready to go, even came with a small charge on the battery.

This phone was a major transition from android based phones. After 2 weeks of really getting accustomed to this Apple iPhone it really changed the perspective I have of apple. First, it is pricey but worth the investment because of its smoothness, quality, and warm feeling of ownership it gives you. Second, battery life was an substantial improvement over many android phones I have owned that do not have a problem draining on your time. Siri is awesome and a person that does not use vocal command devices will have a great time with issuing out commands and asking questions.
My only cons are I wish that many android based apps were transferrable but no complaints because the way technology is common to adaptation and delivering the very best to its consumers it'll only be a matter of time.
The screen display is excellent but unfortunately this phone isn't as big either compared to other ultra smartphones but definitely makes up with its sleek traditionalistic screen and clarity. I think if you can afford this product and need a device that can be used wonderfully in a personal or professional setting then this is where it's at.

Yep, bought this instead of the iphone 6, not new either. Purchased it nearly new, experienced sound problems, took it to Apple, they swapped it for a brand new one. RESULT! The phone is great, the right data size too and the form and function beats the Iphone 6 which as an upgrade is rather pointless for the money involved.
