I own an iPad with Retina display but as portable as it is, I needed something just a little smaller that I could slip into my purse and pull out whenever I wanted to read a book. I have been looking at the Kindle and the Nexus 7. I was like two seconds away from snagging a Nexus 7 when I decided to research the iPad Mini.
It seemed the better choice for me as my entire digital media library was on iTunes and I didn't want to have to rebuild it on another platform. If you use the same iTunes account, all of your iOS devices sync up and you don't have to maintain libraries on multiple devices.
I was surprised at the screen. While not a Retina display, it is the iPad 2 screen resolution shrunk down in a smaller package, giving Retina like sharpness.
I loaded up the Kindle app and I was in business! I haven't found anything I can do on my full sized iPad that I can't do on the mini except full 1080p HD video, but It is hard to tell the difference on the smaller screen in 720p HD.
The only negative I can see is that streaming video buffers a little slower on this device when compared to the full sized iPad, but that is just the differences in the hardware itself.
I think this is a great unit for someone looking for full functionality in a more portable package.

I bought this for my gf and the ipad wont charge. battery problem. Spoke with apple and they are replacing it with a new one. perfect service from apple, but the product is defective. Additionally, the warranty from apple is only good since the first purchase from them, so buying it from sellers other than amazon or apple eat up the warranty time frame. lucky for us, we had a month left.

I bought the iPad mini as the original is very heavy and harder to handle. I also did not have wifi on my original iPad. I have traveled twice with my iPad mini and it has been awesome. It is exactly the right size and I had no problems using it to check my email and messages while out of town. I actually have been using it everyday as I am now used to the smaller size and find I prefer that to my larger one. Very happy I made this purchase.

I love it! I like having the extra memory since my phone is already telling me to dump stuff in order to update. Great graphics and easy to use. Nice sound. And it arrived earlier in the day than expected.

it is a authentic ipad that is sealed in a box, but I suggest you buying a 32G one if you have enough money.

I love my Ipad mini! I bought this in the Amazon Warehouse deals, and it came in perfect condition! Most importantly at a great price! absolutely nothing wrong with it, it looks brand new

I just bought this brand new mini iPad for a great price I was surprise for the price I pay I got a brand new iPad the box still sealed. I love it. I would definitely recommend to my friends to buy this in your store.

I loved my iPad 3, I used it for everything: music recording, as a teleprompter, word processor etc. I am obsessed with portability and design so I wanted the iPad mini but waited on purchasing because it didn't have a retina display in the first installment. So when the second version came out with a crisp screen I jumped at the chance and there are no regrets.
The form factor is perfect on this version, it fits great in your hand, it weighs much less than the iPad (I can't speak for the iPad Air since I have never owned one), and it has the same great screen. Yeah I know its not as sharp or colorful as the Kindle and some other tablets, but the difference is slight and nothing beats the feel and functionality of an apple.
I'm really enjoying it.

This one is more exciting as the Retina display is great for Facetime as well as to watch movies. It does lose WiFi connectivity once in a while - I believe this is a known issue - once I restart it works again.

Great little iPad! I use it all the time at work to RDP into my servers as well as connecting from home. Kids like to watch movies on it too.

It was intended as a gift and it was well received. I gave it to my assistant for her birthday and she said that it was the best gift she ever got. She is very happy to have it and to use it. So do her teenage kids with whom she shares it.

It's an Apple product, so I am a little biased. It;s great to browse the web and play games. Battery lasts forever (days on end) and its super light and compact.

The product is fine, was new and in good conditions... My complain is with the shipping! I payed on Monday for one day shipping and this item arrived on Thursday! I waist my time waiting for it all Wednesday and part of Thursday! And it didn't arrived until Thursday afternoon! I should get my money back on that!!

My boyfriend bought me the white iPad mini about 6 months ago and I love it! It's really handy when you're in college and have a tiny little desk! My laptop was too big to fit on my desk but the iPad mini is a perfect size and fits nicely in my purse. Of course when buying one don't forget to get a durable case cause this thing is so thin and light, it's easy to drop.

Gave this to my granddaughter for her 4th Birthday an the child just loves to sit an learn. We down loaded some learning programs an it makes the little princess sit on the sofa an learn rather then watch TV! When she's done she puts it on the kitchen table! She's already learning being carful along with good learning time!

I ordered this iPad after having a very frustrating experience with another seller. I was in such a rush, and needed the iPad as soon as possible, but didn't want to pay extra for shipping. Before this ipad I had the Samsung galaxy tablet and I must sat that there is nothing like this out there. The speed of this Ipad is extremely fast and the amount of work you can get down is beyond.

I told myself I'd never buy an apple, but my school had a sale on this model and I was in some need of a tablet for school, so I grabbed one of these. Cut to two weeks later, I'm eating with a group of friends and pass an empty cup over the iPad, in its case, and it falls the three inches down to the device. An empty, plastic cup. Three inches. And the glass around the button shatters like satan himself hit it with a hammer. I will never purchase an apple product again. The cost of screen replacement is literally half of what I spent buying this damn thing.
Idevices shatter more easily than a child's dream of being a princess.

I ordered an ipad mini - it arrived - worked for 2 days and doesnt turn on anymore ! it was a present for my son and now its broken ! the little boy is so sad . what a waste of time and money !

Literally just got my iPad and I love it!!!!!! Apple makes great products. I will be purchasing my MacBook in a few weeks and I know that buying it from amazon I will not be disappointed. My iPad accessories are on the way. Love apple
