Seems like a good product.
So far so good. Work right on trimming palm trees. We'll see how it does on the Oaks. Check it out thoroughly before you use it because some of the parts were loose.

Seriously, I have used lots of leaf blowers before, but aside from a backpack blower, this thing is the Thor of leaf blowers. It will dry your car with ease and blow all the crap right off your lawn into your neighbors. It feels nice and balanced, and for the price you can't compare anything else to it.

This is one of the most powerful handheld electric blowers available. If you're serious about getting the job done quickly, this is the baseline. The next power tier is a gas backpack blower at five times the cost, then an even more powerful backpack, and then four-digit specialty tools from companies like Billy Goat. I bought the Worx because I didn't want to spend three hours raking a half-acre of grass.

My trial run was an hour of continuous use with matted wet leaves and driveway sand. It fast became apparent that to be efficient, a blower has to move leaves without being on top of them. Blowing from six inches just makes everything scatter as piles build up. You end up crisscrossing the section you just cleared to deal with the strays. The further your breeze carries, the more direct the flight path of the leaves. This range, and the ability to scour stubborn leaves from the ground, comes from air speed (MPH). At the same time, though, you need a big enough wall of air to move more than one leaf at once. That comes from the size of your pipe opening. The two multiplied together determine your total air volume over a given duration, or CFM (cubic feet per minute).

In physics-land (with spherical cows and turbulence-free pipes, spared from the icy hand of marketing), CFM is the best measure of a blower's power and work capacity. MPH, you can change by varying the size of the pipe; a smaller pipe makes a smaller column of air moving at a faster speed (and more impressive advertising), which is why a lot of consumer-class blowers have tiny nozzles. (I'm looking at you, Sun Joe SBJ601E.) CFM stays the same regardless of nozzle size. In theory.

In practice, trying to cram air quickly into a tiny hole tends to reduce CFM, so blowers that optimize for speeds over about 150 MPH tend to be less efficient relative to their fuel or electricity consumption. Still, if you know either value and the size of the pipe, you can calculate the other (assuming the manufacturer isn't misleading you by quoting CFM at the fan and MPH at the end of the pipe). To get CFM from MPH and the radius of a round pipe, the calculation is (radius^2)*(mph)*(1.92). That's (1.69^2)(110)(1.92) for this blower's 110 MPH and 3 3/8" pipe, with the result arriving right at the rated number of 600 CFM.

Anyway, the Worx has enough volume and speed to blow mounds of wet leaves from six feet and dry ones from ten or more. It's impressively powerful. I was switching arms every few minutes as they wore out from the backward force. Only some really baked-on mud would have benefited from a pipe-reducer attachment. Thanks to ape-like proportions or the secure fit of my spandex leaf-blowing onesie, clothing suction from the rear-directed air intake hasn't been a bother.

ALTERNATIVES:

I almost bought Toro's highly-rated "Ultra" combination blower to minimize bagging, but the vacuum functionality didn't seem that useful in videos. Maybe it'd be adequate to clean an enclosed deck area or a small yard with a scattering of dry leaves. For a larger yard, it looks like a time sink relative to a standalone mulcher. Likewise the blowing capacity, which, at 410 CFM, trails the Worx by quite a lot.

Cordless tools were also tempting. There's a 20V DeWalt people seem to like that's rated at (a perhaps optimistic) 400 CFM. Because it's a similar fan design to the Worx, we can compare power directly. DeWalt's standard battery is 20V (or so we'll stipulate; it's closer to 18V under load) and 5 amp-hours, so we're looking at 100 watt-hours total output. 15 minutes of runtime translates to a sustained draw, best case, of 400W. Assuming 90% efficiency in the brushless motor, that's 360W actually moving air. (When new. Expect a performance drop over time and battery replacements by year three.)

Compare this Worx: 12 amps at 120V equates to 1440 watts sustained, in this case feeding a 2-pole AC/DC motor that's perhaps 55% efficient. 12A is close to the maximum a device can reasonably expect from a typical 15A household socket. Even with nearly half of our power lost to heat and noise, the remaining 790W is over double what the DeWalt can manage. It's no coincidence that 600 CFM cordless blowers (Greenworks and Kobalt come to mind) have 80V/2.5Ah batteries with twice the DeWalt's capacity. Their runtime at full tilt? The same fifteen minutes, with three extra pounds to lug around from a chunk of lithium that costs more than the blower it attaches to.

And what of gas blowers? The handheld versions have around 1 HP with CFM from 450 to 500. They're usually tuned for higher MPH than the Worx, so they're likely to be a little better with wet leaves and a little worse with dry ones. Backpack blowers up the displacement and make between 1.5 and 5 horsepower. The models that you might find on the back of a professional landscaper can manage nearly 1000 CFM with speeds around 200 MPH. That's a considerable difference, but you pay for it at the checkout and in weight: figure 10 pounds or so for a handheld (relative to 7ish for this unit, plus some cord) and 20 or more for a backpack.

As of mid-2020, two other corded blowers are worth a hard look: Toro's F700 and Worx's WG521. The Toro arrived first in 2019 with a hefty 720 CFM rating, a bigger two-arm handle, and a better cord retention mechanism. The WG521 is the response: 800 CFM and 135 MPH (claimed) from a ~4" nozzle, albeit still intended for one arm. All three blowers are beastly and often close in price; pick whichever best channels your inner Tim Allen.

ACCESSORIES:

A motor this powerful benefits from a thick (low gauge) cord for longer runs. You lose a bit of performance with thinner cord. The generic orange 50-foot extension everyone has is 16-gauge. Feeding a 12A load for 50 feet, it'll have a voltage drop of about 5V. Heavier 14-gauge loses 2.5V on the same run, and industrial 12-gauge, only 1.5V. The scale is linear, so if you double up that 16-gauge cord for a 100-foot run, you'll lop off 10V.

How's that play out here? From a short and fat cable (that the cheesy plastic strain-relief piece won't actually accommodate; just tie an overhand knot over the two plugs instead), we'd expect a 1440W draw (12A * 120V, or a bit less because the house wiring itself has some drop). Losing 5V drops the total to 1380W. That's about what I found when I tested the Worx with a watt meter.

12ag / 3 ft = 1423W
14ag / 100 ft = 1352W
16ag / 50 ft = 1351W
16ag / 50 ft + 14ag / 100 ft = 1280W

With the progressive thumb dial at the lowest setting, minimum draw was 260W.

For shorter runs, disconnect extensions you don't actively need. Every cable sheds a percentage of the energy it carries to heat. As above, skinny cables lose more. Coiled on the ground and coupled with a high-load device like the Worx, they can build up enough heat to start melting insulation, which tends to cause sheepish expressions and insurance claims.

This blower is also loud enough to merit hearing protection. On an A-weighted scale (approximating human hearing), measured outdoors from three feet, it makes 82 dB on low and 91 dB on high. Indoors or near a wall, volume jumps by 10 dB and subjectively doubles. While the sound character emulates a vacuum, my Shark only measures 72 dB indoors; you'd have to run over a rat's nest of lamp cords to make one this loud. Amazon has a number of comfortable muffs for less than a Jackson that'll keep your ears intact.

You can find electric blowers with more toys, but few that'll get the job done as fast as this one. It's a bargain at the asking price. I'll update if I catch any reliability problems.

This thing is terrifying. I didnt believe the reviews until I purchased it. It's so powerful. It blew all my leaves into the field in about 5 minutes. Then the sods from my garden started peeling up so I switched it off.
I pointed it at my house because some leaves were stuck.
It started to rip the siding off.
It parted my beard and almost blew it off.
My girlfriend walked in front of it as I screamed...
I am still waiting for her to come back down to earth.
** Will update when she returns and hopefully lands somewhere soft. Prayers are welcomed.

Bought this based on the reviews. Initially had a mulch version which was more expensive and not impressed with the volume of air coming out. Speed was iffy but I have little experience with blowers and it didn't move debris on the driveway that much better than a vacuum cleaner exhaust port. This cheaper one was well reviewed so decided to try it out. It is lighter and blows faster with more volume. The build is fine but don't use vacuum function as the blades inside are all plastic and debris will damage it. The reason it blows better than the mulcher version is the fan blades are lighter weight so they spin faster vs the metal ones on the mulcher.

The first one I received was faulty ... It would not start. The box also was previously opened.

The second one I received worked fine.

My biggest complaint with this product is that the plastic tube is not designed to come apart once you snap it together.

This blower exceeded my expectations. It is very light and well balanced in your hand and has all the power you can handle in this type of configuration - literally. Since the blower handle is above the body, using it at full setting puts quite a bit of back pressure on your wrist and shoulder. This will not replace backpack type for sustained work. But if you have a small/medium sized property, this is all you require.
It can get underneath and move a sizable pile of big leaf maple leaves no problem. Full setting also moved 3/4" stones! The variable speed feature is a must and not easy to find at this price point. In summary:
Pros:
1. Lots of power
2. Not too loud so far as leaf blowers go
3. Variable speed works well and is adjusted easily with thumb wheel of supporting hand.
4. Has wall mount keyhole on bottom so it can be wall mounted easily using a nail/screw.
5. Excellent price
6. Solidly built. No rattles.

Cons;
1. Ergonomically difficult to control on high power setting. Pushes back hard on your hand!
2. Cord has a hooded cover and connector is keyed so there is only one way that the extension cord will connect. This is required for safety, but the connector of my 12 gauge cord barely fit over the hooded connector.
3. Strain relief not great. Likely only fits 16 gauge extension cord.

Some room for improvement, but overall, a really good blower.

I've read that most electric blowers are very under powered, for this leaf blower I read that it is very powerful and that many are pleased with it. when I researched this one has the most CFM's out of all the other leaf blowers and I have to say this is a great leaf blower and great bang for the buck. I read in one review a guy wrote that he also used it to dry off his car after hand washing and after using this once in my backyard I completely get what he meant, and I can see me using it on the car after a nice hand wash. I don't think you will be disappointed with one of these.

This leaf blower has a variable "throttle"; wide open it has an incredible blast. (I laid it on the driveway one time and plugged it in, not realizing it was ON -- it took of down the driveway like a little rocket!) It is strong enough to move ponderosa needles in clumps, and to blow them out of longer grass, as my other, smaller one was not. I'm pleased with it.

Corded means a slight decrease in manoeuvrability, however the extra power gained from non-battery operation is ideal for my uses. There is no power cord so a separate power cable is required. There is no ground prong on the input of this blower, therefore 3 pronged power cables are barely able to fit into the circular sleeve surrounding the connection port.

I keep this blower covered when not in use, so no dirt is introduced to the internal components. Working like new after a couple years of biweekly use.

I didn't buy this to blow leaves and stuff off my lawn...I actually use this as a blower to blow dry my car after I wash it. The wind force on this is great for cars that have a ceramic type coating that makes it hydrophobic. The water will just blow off so you do not have to wipe it down. -- think the blow dryer at the end of a car wash tunnel, but portable.

The fact that it is pretty lightweight makes it great for my application. I can easily move it around my car to get at different nooks and crannies.

One thing I will definitely say is that you should wear ear protection when using this...especially if there is a tendency to have this close to your ears - like when I am blowing the roof of the car. A simple pair of headphones is already good enough to not make your ears ring afterwards.

Works much better than another brand I had that died. Love the variable speed. Great power to blow thick layers of damp leaves into piles. Easy to move around all the yard with 100 ‘ extension. Used to blow off all the leaves on and in the catio on balcony. Even blew the snow off the vehicles. Clears off the sunroom roof and used in som eaves also. Good price and so far very satisfied . Suction is right at back not bottom so sometimes catch my jacket.

OK, so I may be hyper-critical, but I have a dairy farm and use blowers at least 4 times a day. I ordered this one because it looked well built and the intake was on the rear. It said 'one hand operation'. Look closely at the pics, it's a MAN using it with one hand. I'm a 5'1" woman and carry 50# bags of feed frequently, but this thing is HEAVY for one hand. And, if you use 2 hands, it sucks all your clothes in, so if you're a guy--get it. If not and you don't want wrist strain, then get another brand. Now, to be fair, I complain about my other blowers also. They all have the intake on the bottom and that's not idea either--if you ever hang those down, they suck your clothing. The ideal placement for the intake would be on the front of the blower, away from your body--guess they need some women to help with designs. Overall, the motor is good, but it's too unwieldy for my frequent use.

My wife and I were in the market for a new leaf blower as our current one just didn't have enough power for us. I read some reviews regarding the WORX Turbine and found that Amazon had the best price for it. It's as described in that it's a lightweight electric blower that gets the job done and is priced quite well compared to the more expensive battery and gas powered leafs blowers. I highly recommend this for any normal residential use.

I bought this blower to dry my car. I have used it on my old , but I was a little disappointed because the water drops did not move fast on. So I went back to using the microfiber waffle clothes. Until I tried the blower on my new car and I was amazed how helpful was to dry my car with it. That is because the new car is waxed not like my old one. Now I use this dryer every time on my new car and I love it. It is so so powerful but could be just a little tiring if you cary it of a long time. ( just a word of caution to put tape on at the extension wire joint point so it will not slip while plugged in).

Yes it was a bad pun but it's true, this really blows. I'm greatly impressed with the power of the air that comes out of it. I used it for the first time this morning. The leaves were very wet after several days of rain. I had no issues creating piles of leaves or getting leaves that we're stuck in the grass. This is far better then the blower and vacuum machine that I had previously. The volume of air appears to be more important then the speed of the air that comes out. In the past I could only use the blower when the leaves were very dry and not to deep. Today I was creating large piles a very wet leaves with no problems.

Pros:

- large volume of air
- power moving leaves
- no mixing of oil and gas
- adjustible airflow. You don't always want full volume
- not quiet but much quieter that a gas model

Cons:
- a little heavy
- teathered to a cord

I do have to admit that I could not find my 100 foot outdoor cord so then purchased a new cord. Plus I purchased two pair of headset ear protectors. So the extras ended up costing more than the leaf blower.

Btw, I later found my old 100 foot cord but by then I had used the new one. So I gave one to my son.
