Really useful tool. Very good cutting and easy to use. Did a really god job until the blade no longer turned around a month later. V disappointed.

Easy to use light and very accurate

Very nice Saw putdown with useless parallel guider Laser is powerful and helpful. Quality material very nice design Lucky it comes with the case. But If you want to cut anything under 10 mm and you relaying to parallel guider it is useless you can not use it. the worthless technical department won't do any help they don't have a replacement parallel guide. I tried to cut my 5 ~6 mm thick 200mmx 250 mm simple tiles to use with a parallel guide because is the wrong design my tiles went inside of u shape of the parallel guider instead should be touching it. In more worst scenario if you planning to buy this item to cut your flooring boards 4 feet long 120 cm and if their thickness is under 10mm parallel guider can not support. unless you can attach to another plate next to the original parallel plate- and closing that useless U-shape area like welding another plate or supergluing another plate may help you. cutting a cheap metal ruler super glue and stick to the parallel guider's plate may do work as a stick to the parallel guider.

Now, I'm a complete DIY rookie. In fact, this is my first time using any type of saw since I did technology back at school!

We've need a saw for a while just to do the odd little bits around the house, but kept putting it off due to my lack of experience. Anyway, I finally decided to bite the bullet and I had a shop around on Amazon.

There were quite a few contenders, but what stood out to me about this saw was how easy it looked to use. It's one handed for starters! So being the DIY rookie that I am, I have no vice, or any other thing to hold the material down that I want to cut. But that's not a problem with this, since I can use my other hand to steady the material.

The trailer of the product on the profile also gives a good idea what it can do. Which i was thankful for (I actually watched the video just to see whether I push or pull the saw! shame on me, I know).

The deepness of the cut could probably be a little better, but for little odd jobs around the house I feel this saw is perfect. Definitely perfect for anyone who is just getting started, or just need to do a little cutting every now and again. However, if you use a saw a lot then you'd probably want to go for a bigger model.

The first task I gave it was to cut through the top half of our wooden driveway gates. Which it quite honestly cut through like butter. Definitely glad I got it, and I would recommend getting to anyone.

You get one blade included, which is perfect for wood. However, if you're wanting to cut metal then you may want to buy an extra blade specialized for metal. The saw is wired, not wireless, so it's not something you can use too far out in the open.

Overall, a great saw for starters and for light use.

Took a while to work out how to use it. Instructions could have been better but at least they were not in multi-languages.

Very good little tool

For years I've used a jigsaw to cut close to the line and finished with a block plane. My mitres on 7 inch skirtings always had a bit of filler. Then I tried a circular saw but they are just too unwieldy for small pieces of timber and delicate work. The choice was a sliding mitre saw, a chop saw or a mini circular saw. I chose this Worxs and I wish I'd bought one years ago as they are so good.

I’ve just finished using it to cut and rip 25mm, damp decking boards. The saw was accurate and fast. I found an aluminium roofing square ideal as a straight edge for cross cuts and clamped lengths of timber to act as guide for long rip cuts, a rip fence is included in the box. The laser makes this easy to line up along a long edge, some of the wood being ripped off was only 50mm wide.

The Worx WX427XL can do mitred cuts, has good depth of cut and a motor powerful enough to slice through softwood to maximum depth, rip floorboards and fibreboard and get through hardwood without a problem. Plunge cuts are easy and cutting slots a breeze, finishing with the saw as a 'Polish Chisel' to clear out the slot. The metal blade made an easy job of cutten metal gully covers to length.

The laser is bright enough for daylight use and is genuinely useful. The one slight drawback is that it's battery powered rather than automatically activated when the saw is on.

I bought this in December and so far every time I've tried to use it there is an issue.

The biggest problem I have is getting it to cut straight lengths. The parallel guide supplied is useless. The screw to hold it in is at 45 degrees and there is too much play in the guide. As you tighten the locking screw the guide twists so it's not locked in. I found this out the hard way after ruining a piece of wood.

I tried to set-up my own guide to take care of this but then ran into another problem. The clearance on the right hand side of the saw is very low. When I tried to use my long spirit level as a guide the saw's body was hitting the spirit level before the base plate, so no way to make a straight cut with it.

I think Worx know about the clearance issue as all their product photos show the left hand side of the saw. It would be possible to use the spirit level as a guide on the left hand side of the saw, but as I'm right handed this would make cuts very awkward.

The other issue is the cost of spares. The blade size is quite specialised so you'll probably end up having to buy Worx replacements which are much more expensive than normal circular saw blades.

This is really disappointing as I have always found worx products to be great, I have their multi tool and one of their work tables. I've decided to call it a day and buy a real circular saw. Unfortunately I'm now stuck with the saw as I've gone past the return period and got no help when contacting Worx direct about these issues.

I am a DIY beginner also I am a friend of WORX’s power tools While I brought the 20V power drill and cordless multi tools in Hong Kong. Easy for me to use with sufficient safety level. So that when I on board UK I am looking for WORX mini circus saw for a while finally I found it from Amazon UK.

Value for money does good job.

I wanted a small powered saw for doing DIY and hobby items such as making planters etc, and felt like a full size circular saw was a bit too much for the job. I'm glad I found this as it is really manageable and feels alot safer than a full size saw. Its easy to handle and I find it very precise with its cuts. There is a depth adjustment on there too which helps if you don't want to cut as deep. I actually used the adjustment to make it just enough to cut through plasterboard when I was taking out a large section of it and it worked very well indeed.

It's a very good item and I am sure you will like it

I have longed for one of these saws for some time, and having got one so wished I had done so earlier. It cuts superbly with a good finish, but you must let the saw do the work, not force it through. Using a fence to butt the saw against for a longer cut is well worth while, but there is a problem in that the saw depth lock can hit any clamp holding a straight edge. Answer is low profile clamps or make a wider straight edge. (Hence 4 stars, but I am being a bit mean)
Cutting battons is easy too, using a set square as a fence, one can cut with one hand on the saw.
A floorboard section is easy to remove by setting the depth and plunging the saw to start the cut.
I have used the blade that came with the saw, 24 teeth and TCT, thought it may be a bit coarse but so far ok, I will get a finer blade though.
All in all, an excellent saw, just get one.

I need to get better at using this as it doesn't roll through the wood in quite the butter like way I had envisaged but that is more to do with my technique than the tool. I am a very basic DIYer and bought this to cut through a load of pallets and scrap wood and I have to say its a great little tool.
I did have cramp in my hand the other day from using it but I had been using it for the guts of 40 mins so to be expected. I would recommend this definitely.

Good product and seems well made, no problems so far. Note that it only comes with one saw blade unlike other similar products which provide 3 or more.

Handy power saw for the times you don't want to lug a proper Makita tool on medium thickness piece of softwood. But the bevel cuts are not up to the mark. I had to do a fair bit of filing on 19mm thickness pieces of pine wood which I had cut at 45 degree to get the perfect 90 degree joint. Don't know if it was the saw or my hand that shook. But a Makita mitre saw gives precise cuts for those jobs. In my opinion this is good for mid precision DIY jobs, but for serious furniture making roll out the big boys like Makita.

Great tool for cutting floorboards and also chasing walls for cabling. Paired with a Henry Hoover its fairly dust free too although needed to tape the henry adaptor to the end of the output from the saw.
However cannot give 5 stars for a various reasons...
- First one I purchased had a faulty laser light so had to be replaced
- Depth adjustment has a tendency to work loose, so I've sometimes cut grooves in joists when cutting floorboards (luckily it missed all the pipes and electric cables!!!)
- Plunge cutting cannot be used at the same time as setting a depth

this is almost a unique product as none of the main tool manufacturers make such a saw.
it is very easy to use especially in tight working space as you can cut close to obstacles i.e. 25mm to side and 45mm at end and the fact it can be used one handed left or right, is compact and powerful, whizzes through almost 50mm of soft wood makes this an excellent tool.
on the down side replacement blades are rather expensive.
the original saw I purchased packed in very quickly but Amazon / Worx replaced immediately and I am expecting to get many years of service from this little saw.

A very handy tool. Lightweight to lift and is great for those smaller quick jobs. The take off of sawdust is far better than expected so minimal clearing up afterwards. Have tried this saw on wood up to 18mm, including laminate with no problem. Was concerned about some reports of jamming, but if you let the tool do the work it is absolutely fine! Marked down on accuracy as free hand cutting slightly wanders due to the size of the blade, so would recommend using a guide - cuts are straight and accurate with the guide. Second worx tool purchased and well pleased with purchase.

Excellent saw, can use one handed. Used for cutting flooring. Set depth gauge and cut 18mm oak flooring no problem. Comes with wood blade.

Yes, a very handy tool to have for various jobs, probably better than conventional circular saw for most DIY jobs around the house etc.
But, it does require getting used to before you tackle more major jobs, You'll see what I mean when you first get to use this saw.
Saying that, it can do a lot of different work, especially with added advantage of the plunge feature, which is very good.
All-in-all, good value, from Amazon. I have rated this with 4 stars because the laser did not work, due to a bad connection on button batteries, and was not worth returning for such a minor fault, repaired myself.
