I bought this hard drive to fix my neighbors laptop. It is working ok right now. The first drive that came with the HP laptop failed within 3 days of purchase of laptop and Best Buy stood behind it (in your dreams) bought this drive with neighbors money and HP sent me a copy of the software Free but no hard drive it cost almost $60 to get the machine back up and running. I hope it lasts for years to come. Best Buys good deal of $399 with windows 7 software seemed like a good deal at the time till the hard drive went south.

I bought this drive for increased size and better performance. I saw no increase in speed, and after 6 months, it failed, causing me to have to purchase yet another new drive, which will certainly not be another Western Digital.

This is the third Western Digital hard drive product I have purchased. I needed to expand the hard drive in my notebook computer and this product was the perfect fit with its 250 GB. It installed easily and I have had no problems using my computer with its expanded hard drive.I previously purchased two Western Digital external hard drives before buying this 250GB product and was completely satisfied with the ease in which I could back up files. One is a portable hard drive and the other is an external hard drive for my desk top computer. I did buy another brand portable hard drive but returned it due to the incredible difficulty to back up and access files. That is why I shopped Western Digital when I decided to buy a new internal hard drive to expand my Dell Inspiron notebook computer.

Friend had a laptop that wouldn't boot. I pulled the drive and connected it to my PC via an external enclosure which I also got from amazon. Couldn't see the main partition on the drive so I downloaded a program from Western Digital that tested the drive. The short test passed but the long test (which ran overnight) admitted the drive had problems and asked if I wanted to try to correct them. Said Yes and suddenly I could see the drive. Pulled the data off the drive and junked it and replaced it with this drive. (She had the XP CD which came with it so I did a new install and then copied her data over to the new drive.) This one is twice the size of the original but only cost $10 more so it seemed like the way to go.Hope it lasts longer than the old drive.

Got it on time! Went into my macbook easy and sweet. Works like a charm, and it is faster and bigger than the old one. Did I mention it was easy to do? That's right easy and good. Doesn't get much better than that.

Time will tell how wonderful this drive is, but it is fast and priced very affordably. Replaced a laptop's dead hard drive with this one and had no problems what-so-ever.

Used this to upgrade the Seagate Momentus 5400 rpm 80 GB drive in my laptop. Runs very fast and is actually quieter than the old HD. Windows Vista Experience for the Disk went from 4.8 to 5.9. Boots faster, and applications open faster. AND 3 times the capacity.

Originally bought for an upgrade for my laptop, but ended up installing in my PS3, because it really was a drain on my laptop battery. Works great in my PS3.

Installation was fairly seamless. The hard drive is a little louder than the stock Fujitsu hard drive that came stock with my Macbook. However, it loads up Mac OSX within seven seconds, and most apps within five seconds. Also runs a little hotter and gets downright noisy while watching streaming video. Otherwise, it is a nice, affordable investment for any Mac user.

I have the 2006 black macbook that came with the standard 120GB hard drive ! I needed a change and opted for this western digital 250 GB 7200 RPM !! The transition was flauless !! It's great !! I installed snow leopard in it and again it's great !!

Shares all the positive attributes of its 320-MB counterpart. Fast, cool, affordable, reliable. Incredible bang for the buck. You cannot go wrong with a Scorpio Black.

Works great. No problem at all with it. I had a 7200rpm disk before (smaller); can't tell whether this one is faster or quieter, but it works great so far (1 month).

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CO3EKG/I had a HDD go bad in my HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook PC It had a 160 gb 5400 rpm drive install from the factory after a little research online I found this drive.The new HDD mounted right up to the old factory caddy and inserted easily.There was nothing to do but insert my OS disc (Vista Ultimate x86) quick format then install and everything worked great.Start to format ready approx 10 min after trying to find a small enough screw driver for the task.

Well, I'm using my computer and the disk is working fine, there's not much more to say about it right? It arrived promptly and safe, thats a plus.
