I installed this in my 2009 Apple Mac Mini without a problem. A month later and it is still purring without a single problem :)

I had a broken hard drive from dropping my laptop. I replaced it with this harddrive and it's been smooth sailing since then. Does eat battery life a little quickly, but it's not a big deal.

My grandson fried the laptop we gave him. So just to see if he could do it, my husband bought this hard drive. His comments are easy instructions, easy install. So for about $65 this laptop is back!

This item arrived in a very timely fashion. Based on the specs, I bought it at an excellent price. I haven't installed it on my current laptop yet, waiting to purchase Windows 8 OS, before I install it. I will create an additional review after I install it.

This was a replacement for the original drive in my PS3. Fit perfectly in the chassis and is quite in its performance. Three weeks in use and I am very happy with it.

Larger capacities are always desired but it is good OEM replacement... Used in a laptop, fired right up.. installation a cinch.

I bought this drive to upgrade my current drive since the RPM is 7200. I was not disappointed. This worked well and was shipped fast and securely. This is a much faster drive than my previous one. I would definitely recommend this drive to anyone.

This hard drive came highly recommended to me by my IT guy. For the few extra dollars to buy the Black Scorpio you get the 7200 rpm and 16 mb cache. Its worth every penny to go with the Black. My computer is 4 years old and I can't imagine a new computer doing much better without spending the big buck.I'm a happy man.Mitchell

This is the second drive of this model that I have purchased. I love these because they're fast and very quiet. Unlike some HDDs, you can't hear this one work, and there is very little spin-up delay. Read/write is quick, and it's fast and reliable. I recommend it to anyone looking to buy a new hard drive.

Theres not a whole lot I can say about this HDD besides the fact is does exactly what the description says. Very nice HDD, big fast and worth every cent. Love it and i recommend Western Digital, and moreso the company i purchased it from. Thanks

Niiiiiiiiiice. As noted in my review of an external hard drive, I have had hard drives die all around me recently. Actually my laptop drive did not exactly keel over, but it did start to act extremely wonky with regards to certain data files and running tests confirmed it was unhappy. I am fairly confident my laptop took a fall at some point corrupting a certain area and so here I am reviewing this newer drive. Speed improvement is noticeable. Installation could not have been easier. Throw it in and restore laptop with a stored image. Recommend for sure. Should have done it sooner. And remember kiddies, backup, backup, backup!

Am currently using a refurbished hard drive. I was a little hesitant at first because dud hard drives seem to happen all the time, but I'm happy I took the risk. After a little reformatting for my MacBook the hard drive hasn't had any problems at all two weeks later.

I recently purchased a new Xbox 360 S with 4GB internal storage. I was not sure if I was going to get much use form it. But after a few weeks I found myself playing more and more and wanted to get some game add-ons and install my games in the unit itself but did not get the model with the 250GB hard drive. I looked around in the local big box stores and found most wanted $125 for a $50 hard drive. SCREW THAT!!! I have already given Microsoft plenty of cheese for my entertainment. So I went online and found a modification that could be done to the drive that would let it work on the system.Behold found the mod and ran the test with this drive.SUCCESS!!I installed the drive in the console and found the system picked it up with no problems what so ever. Now I have a drive that works with my Xbox 360 and has a five year warranty that will give me a replacement in case of disk failure.

I bought a recertified BJKT version of this drive from another site with the intention of bumping up the speed of my acer one netbook. The recommended software transferred the image from my existing HD, no issues there. The only issue I have is its power options came set for high power efficiency and not for high performance. So every few seconds it will spin down and make clicking noises (park its head). Then click again and spin up. This gives the impression that drive may be failing (and may adversely affect the weak hearted). This also introduces lag when doing a right click, menu pull down and other activities that combine user interaction and disk read. I found a trial software that could run it at high performance, but will reset it at every shutdown. The scorpio black is supposed to be 'desktop performance' in a laptop drive. Why sell it at 'high efficiency' setting? And why not give the option to permanently set it to high performance? Why force users to buy a software that may actually cost more to just tweak the settings, than the drive itself is worth?Also, sometimes the netbook would not boot and make loud, embarassing beep noise, possibly because the drive did not spin up fast enough to be ready for boot. A quick power recycle of netbook fixes it, may be because this time around, the drive picks momentum from the previous boot.I would definitely recommend looking for other alternatives if performance is the objective (or in any case).

I purchased the WD 320GB Scorpio black to replace the internal HD in my MacBook Pro 15" 2009. Granted, it starts much faster, but sometimes the disk simply stops spinning for 10-15 seconds. It is like my computer starts getting "senior moments".I get the spinning rainbow disk, music stops playing, video stops playing, and can't do much. And then the disk starts spinning again and I can continue working for another 10-15 minutes until the next senior moment.I did a clean install of OSX 10.6.7, reset PRAM and everything you are supposed to do, and still the same problem. I also I turned off the Sudden Motion Sensor in my mac. Still nothing.I went to the WD website to "ask a question" and their website simply doesn't take any. This disk is no good on a mac.

Ive had it for almost a year now in my Black 13" Macbook and it has worked out great. The drive is very fast and quite. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable drive.

The drive in my mother's older Core2Duo laptop died so I got this as a replacement. The laptop is 95% of the time plugged into power so I opted for the faster 7200 RPM drive to maximize performance. The installation was simple and the drive is much faster than the previous one. The laptop is now running Windows 7 and is much peppier than it was before.
