Hello all, I got this drive as well as the 320gb 7200rpm BLACK label and this drive is considerably slower but in my ext. fw800 enclosure works great.

So far so good. I've only had it for a month or so, but it's working well, less noise and heat than the Toshiba I replaced. I've always had good luck with Western Digital products, so I took any of the negative reviews with a grain of salt. It spins, heads ride a micron or so off the surface, it's electronic -- it's going to fail!!!!! I believe in the return policy and warranty support, so I have no worries. Great value for the price!!!!!I'd recommend this drive for any laptop upgrade needing a SATA disk....

I installed it on my macbook as soon as I received it. The product was sealed, wrapped in foam and in excellent shape. It's working great! Best of all, it was worth the $99.00!

This is a really good hard drive. I used it in my PS3 and had no problems at all. The price is really great and it can also be used on a laptop. The only thing though is for a 320 gig hard drive, you only get about 270 gigs when you use it on a PS3. Other than that, this is probably the best hard drive value on amazon.

it works fine for my dell xps m 1330. the only things i don't is sometimes i hear clicking from the hard drive. but so far it works Ok. No problem at all.

I upgraded the internal HD in my MacBook Pro to 500GB using this drive and then a few days ago bought another one to use as a backup. Works great. Buy a cheap $15 aluminum enclosure to use this as an external hard drive.

Got this drive for my netbook to store more pictures, music and videos while traveling. It's much more affordable than getting an SSD unit. As always Amazon has the best deals and with free shipping.

The install was easy and the product seems very quality, but after initial format and system set-up on my PS3, with nothing saved or transferred to the new drive, there was only 260GB remaining. Still a lot, but where did 60GB go? I saw that someone had dropped to 300GB available after install, which I thought was OK, but 60GB seems like a bit much. 4 stars for the missing 60GB. Almost gave it a 3, but I'm giving the benefit of a doubt for whether it was the drive's fault, the PS3 firmware, or my own.

Bought this to install in my PS3 and it works great. Been using for about 3 weeks now without any problems. I now have a PS3 with enough room to keep all of my movies and music.

Cool and quiet drive. I backup everything on my 40 GB to an external drive, format, then restore with the PS3 backup application. The process took a couple of hours but everything worked fine. The PS3 sees 467 GB and I am very happy with this product. I can copy all sort of videos, mp3s at 320 kbps, and my entire photo collection.

I bought this hard drive to replace the (tiny) 40 GB drive in the PS3. The swap took about 10 minutes, and was very easy. Once I'd installed the new WD drive and booted up the PS3, it instantly recognized and formatted the new drive.After copying over the backup I'd created earlier on an external USB drive, I was up and running.

This is a great hdd for the price and amount of gb you get. Remember you dont get exactly 320gb you get around 270gb. intstallation was easy.

I exchanged an old Hitachi 80 GB in my lenovo N100 laptop. This new disk makes my laptop run faster and it is very quiet. I migrated the disk in 1 hour using the Apricorn EZ upgrade external case. Look at my review of the Apricorn EX Upgrade for more details about the migrationRecommended

This HDD is so awesome, quiet, and fast!! I have it in an external case and use it for a backup drive. Great Great product!!! (p.s. does not come formatted)~ I downloaded formatting program straight from WD site and it worked flawlessly.

I bought this drive one year ago to upgrade a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. Replacing it was a breeze just a few tiny screws and it was installed. The drive is quiet and very fast. Increased the overall speed of the laptop a bit too.I haven't had any problems at all, no strange sounds or glitches or missing/corrupt data. I am very pleased with it!!

I bought this drive primarily for the increased capacity. However, I was very surprised to discover how quiet it runs. I no longer here the usual "ticking" sounds associated with hard drive activity. I can highly recommend this drive.

I recently bought this hard drive for my PS3 so I could have more room for games. I have had no problems at all with this product, and it has been almost a month with it inside my PS3. Overall, a solid hard drive for a PS3.

I bought this hard drive for my windows laptop and so far it has been excellent. All the specs are the same as my replaced Hitachi drive except the capacity of course, so the performance is the same as far as i can tell. The only downside that I've noticed about this drive is that when its under a heavy workload, such as resource-hog games, it get VERY hot. Usually, it gets around 58*C.Even though there are flaws, I have to give it a five star because for the price, they are all well-worth it. I highly recommend this product.

Had to send it back to Western Digital because it failed the SMART tests. I had to pay shipping for it too. But WD sent a replacement and it's working fine. Took about 3 weeks from the time I sent it back until the new one arrived. Perhaps if I returned it to Amazon it might have been quicker.

For the price this harddrive is really good. I bought it in combination with an enclosure for US $ 5 and I got a reasonable pocket harddrive. Works well so far. Recommended
