I used this hard drive to upgrade my 40Gb PS3, works great, was easy to swap (get a screwdriver and you are done in 2 minutes) Of course if you have to restore the system so you have all the media and game data back the way it was from your back-up drive that might take a while but otherwise the system is ready to use just by swaping the drives out.

This drive died after only three weeks!!! Where's the quality control? tick tick tick tick tick... I'm never buying a Western Digital product again.

Needed a bigger drive for video I wanted to take on vacations on my laptop. This WD drive fit the bill, price was also right $99 delivered with tax.

I purchased this hard drive to upgrade my PS3 and I have been completely satisfied. It took a little more effort than anticipated to install it so everything worked properly but this had nothing to do with the hard drive itself. I honestly don't anticipate having to upgrade again. I have 20 games and have downloaded all of the extra content for these games and then some. I still have 230GB of storage available. I paid $75.00 and feel that it was totally worth it.

I just received this hard drive today and it was very easy to install into my PS3.It came in good condition and did not have to troubleshoot anything with regards to the hard drive itself or reformatting the hard drive. I will give a word of warning though, that I pretty much stripped one of the screws holding the hard drive in place in the case. Just make sure you have the right size screw driver and apply enough force the first time you turn the screw or you'll strip it. Other then that it was great deal for a 320 GB upgrade over my original 20GB.

If you are looking for a cheap and decent sized hard drive then this is it. I got it and copied my old hard drive over to this one and it has been great. Its refurbished but that just makes it cheaper for us!

Works great in my PS3. Very quiet and fast.One side note I had to put the newest firmware update on a usb thumb drive and connect it to my PS3 for it to be able to boot up. I think this is with models made in 2008 and up because I watched videos on how to install the hard drive and none of them mentioned having to update the firmware. But if you google "ps3 hard drive system software cannot be run correctly" you will find tons of other people with the same problem.

i bought this to upgrade my playstation 3's hard drive. both of my systems was low on memory. put this 320gig in and formatted it. runs perfect, no loading noises from it. strongly recommend it to any laptop or ps3 owner.

I bought this as a replacement for my 80GB MacBook drive. Installed it finally, and it works perfectly. If you are doing the same and want to transfer over all your data, I recommend using SuperDuper trial version, it's great.High reviews from me!

It's quiet and it works, which is what one would expect. The real test of a hard drive is how long it lasts, and that isn't know when they are new.

Hello all, I got this drive as well as the 320gb 7200rpm BLACK label and this drive is considerably slower but in my ext. fw800 enclosure works great.

So far so good. I've only had it for a month or so, but it's working well, less noise and heat than the Toshiba I replaced. I've always had good luck with Western Digital products, so I took any of the negative reviews with a grain of salt. It spins, heads ride a micron or so off the surface, it's electronic -- it's going to fail!!!!! I believe in the return policy and warranty support, so I have no worries. Great value for the price!!!!!I'd recommend this drive for any laptop upgrade needing a SATA disk....

I installed it on my macbook as soon as I received it. The product was sealed, wrapped in foam and in excellent shape. It's working great! Best of all, it was worth the $99.00!

This is a really good hard drive. I used it in my PS3 and had no problems at all. The price is really great and it can also be used on a laptop. The only thing though is for a 320 gig hard drive, you only get about 270 gigs when you use it on a PS3. Other than that, this is probably the best hard drive value on amazon.

it works fine for my dell xps m 1330. the only things i don't is sometimes i hear clicking from the hard drive. but so far it works Ok. No problem at all.

I upgraded the internal HD in my MacBook Pro to 500GB using this drive and then a few days ago bought another one to use as a backup. Works great. Buy a cheap $15 aluminum enclosure to use this as an external hard drive.

The install was easy and the product seems very quality, but after initial format and system set-up on my PS3, with nothing saved or transferred to the new drive, there was only 260GB remaining. Still a lot, but where did 60GB go? I saw that someone had dropped to 300GB available after install, which I thought was OK, but 60GB seems like a bit much. 4 stars for the missing 60GB. Almost gave it a 3, but I'm giving the benefit of a doubt for whether it was the drive's fault, the PS3 firmware, or my own.

Bought this to install in my PS3 and it works great. Been using for about 3 weeks now without any problems. I now have a PS3 with enough room to keep all of my movies and music.
