Ужасно
- + Хорошая задумка.
- - Ужасная реализация. Сие устройство постоянно зависает. Причем не только при копировании. Подключаюсь напрямую, задержек быть не должно, но не тут то было! Даже просмотр папок зависает. Брать ТАКОЕ на съемки недопустимо.

Очень плохая модель
- + хорошая задумка
- - не работает
главная функция Wireless - абсолютно бесполезна, так как скорость доступа по WiFi 5 Ггц очень нестабильна и еле теплится между 20 и 5 мб/сек
т.е. этого недостаточно даже для комфортного просмотра фото, не говоря уже о видео.

- + Возможность чтения SD-карт и флешек. Большой объем.
- - Беспроводная функция практически бесполезна. Скорость соединения зависит непонятно от чего. Из всех устройств, что у меня есть, только подсоединение по wifi к mac mini происходит с нормальной скоростью (RAW-файл открывается около 1 секунды, импортированные с фотика видео видео можно просматривать без тормозов). Но к мак мини можно и проводом подсоединиться. На iPAD pro 2018 и Galaxy note 9 скорость примерно в 10 раз меньше, использовать невозможно. При этом есть разные опции: 2.4 ГГц, 5ГГц, прямое соединение или через роутер...

Хорошая модель
- + Универсальность использования. Пользуюсь с ПК, Макбука, телефона, старенького проигрывателя пятилетней давности на даче. WiFi выше всяких похвал. Диск возможно использовать в качестве шлюза (соединение с роутером прописывается через веб-морду, которая имеет отличный от WiFi-соединения IP - подробные инструкции можно прочесть в мануале к диску).
- - 5 GHz не всегда стабилен, особенно в случае подключения нескольких устройств. Из-за этого 4К по WiFi не тянет. Через USB читается далеко не всеми устройствами со специфическими ОС, отличными от Win (проигрыватели, телевизоры).
UPD После трех лет использования в девайсе сдохла батарея. Причем, сдохла единомоментно и наглухо...

I collect the footage from my 2nd shooter at the end of the night while on-site.
multiple 64GB cards takes approx. 5-10 minutes each.
seems like an eternity :(

unless you login with your app, you never REALLY know if the footage is 100% transferred just looking at the LED lights. (they really should've made the lights turn green when done.....)
dont try and VIEW photos while transferring....totally messes with the connection....
otherwise, its a good product.

Love this machine. Was streaming all my movies with family for our boat vacation. The only worthy mention/caution is that when initially connecting to it using Plex, you will need an Internet connection. If you are a bit of a tech you will love this piece of hardware. I can understand how some people hate it if they don't know much about Wi-Fi, or accessing an ip address in the browser. Love tyhe SD card backup feature, iPhone photo back up etc. Really this think is awesome. Definitely recommend if you are not a beginner in usb data storage or networking.

I have a 2017 12.9 iPad Pro which I use quite a bit for photo editing. The biggest downside was memory space. I bought a 256 Gb model. I know you can use Cloud storage however I wanted an external portable hard drive to hold my photos and to be able to transfer photos to it from my SD cards then also onto my iPad Pro for editing. This hard drive has 3 terabytes of storage so it has plenty of room for the future. It also does all the things that I needed above. It seems very sturdy and well made but with any hard drive you need to take care of it. It isn’t cheap but neither is the iPad Pro. I have found if you take the time to read the instructions then it is quite easy to use but make sure you read the instructions first. All in all it was exactly what I needed and was looking for. The on-board battery really lasts a long time and makes it truly portable.

Estoy feliz. Es la manera de almacenar más versátil que he visto. Poder instalarle Plex, no tiene igual. El acabado es robusto pero no grotesco. Recomiendo comprarle el "Case" oficial. Lo uso para hacer Streaming de las películas que tengo a 1080p y fácil aguanta dos con su carga al 100. Muy recomendable para multimedia.

Great product. I love it! Streaming videos via WIFI (on flight) really amazing. Same with songs and photos. At the start of streaming, you can notice some lag/delay, but later it goes really smooth. Charging option great - love it! Most important thing for me is auto-backup SD card. Works great. After 2month of usage, downside: difficult to use if you are not willing to put some time on manual, nothing else! Overall ossom product, for photographers or casual users.

Better than described , setup easy and works great with phones , computer, laptop and DLNA(TV).
have to connect through the passport wifi for android device but pc and laptop see it as a NAS device.
Was fun to setup and play with. Portable with close to a full day of battery power ( High usage ).
would highly recommend for price/performance/flexibility.

Product packaging was white & yellow instead of blue as shown in one of the listed photos. Came with US power adaptor only and no additional power adaptors provided even though the inner clear plastic packaging appeared to have room for them. Had difficulty getting PC to connect to the hdd both wirelessly and via USB cable, though connections were successful at times. Streaming of movies on iPad was smooth and connection was good, hence the 2 stars. I had to return the hdd since the battery did not charge more than 5% over 40hrs. Only one blue light was blinking slowly. Have tried different power points (using a suitable AU adaptor). I’m considering purchasing another one and hoping there’ll be no issues.

Works pretty well. Its pretty adventurous to run plex on this small of a unit but after a few setup errors and figuring out how to get in and out of the system I'm quite happy with how it's performing now. I made sure I have all files in mp4/acc format and it will play anything on this setting as a direct stream. Like the comment above it will not transcode anything so other formats may give an error about server not strong enough to transcode. Tested 1080p 14GB video file played to 3 devices at once without any problems - Cache time was long but once playing it didn't give any problems. My plan was not to use it in my house as my main Plex server (already have that setup). It's sole purpose is for travel and in the car without needing any thing else but tablet and drive and this works quite well for travel.

overheats and crashes within an hour of turning it on. Battery barely lasts an hour when unplugged. Runs hot all the time. Difficult to connect wirelessly: need to run a mypassport network connection on top of your normal one which is often difficult to achieve. Cannot reach cloud mypassport site to overview the drive even when connected. Storage file in my files doesn't work unless connected. Desktop shortcuts do not work. Now the device has failed totally and must be returned. Disappointing to say the least.

El disco es excelente en calidad y funcionalidad, el peso no es poco (para quienes buscamos el menor peso para viajar) sin embargo por la utlidad que tiene de crear respaldos de las tarjetas SD es una herramienta excelente para trabajos de fotografía o video y la opción de 3TB es sin duda para muchos, mas de lo que normalmente necesitamos, pero nunca está de más el espacio. La batería no es demasiado larga, pero si el uso es para respaldos y viajes es suficientemente buena.

Great wireless product. It is a little tricky to configure at first especially if you want to access your own network. The on off procedure is a little unintuitive and could use maybe another led or some sort of display to indicate shut down in progress.
Overall love the product and found it fits my very mobile work situation and easy enough to plug in and do the occasional video editing work. However if you want more speed and work with more video I would suggest the SSD version.

Me decidí por este producto por la capacidad de lectura de tarjeta SD, que ahorra tiempo y facilita el respaldo de fotografías y vídeos. Es pesada y grande en dimensiones si se compara con una memoria SSD, la transmisión wifi es muy buena, pero la transferencia de archivos grandes es más rápida a través de cable USB. Sin embargo vale la mitad de lo que cuesta su equivalente SSD, por lo que la relación valor/costo es muy buena.

This is WD solution to this problem as they cannot be bothered to support SMB2 protocol. Roll the dice and expose your content to hackers.

Product was excellent at first. I really enjoyed using the product because it ended up saving me a lot of time through my video process. The only issue I had was that it broke really easily. It never ended up working properly and I had to return the product to WD because the SD card reader became defective after the first little while.
On top of that, the transfer speed from SD card to the drive were really slow.
Wish they did better for the cost compared to a GNARBOX for example

Lo compre específicamente para un viaje de 17 días por Italia, Egipto e Israel .... Grabe todo el viaje con mi gopro 7 con 6 pilas y 5 memorias MSD .... Al final de cada día respaldaba los vídeos en el disco duro WD..... Con este disco no tuve limites de grabación de vídeo ..... Entre la gopro y el cel se grabaron como 500 GB en todo el viaje .... Ahora el trabajo es bajar todo y editar.... Antes tenia que viajar con una laptop y un disco duro externo..... Estoy muy satisfecho con el disco que compre.....

Obviously not as fast as the SSD version but quick enough for the money using Sandisc 300mbt/sec cards. My time is not valuable enough to warrant spending extra bucks. With this method of backup I’m only using two high speed cards.
When I’ve filled 3tb I’ll buy another.

I bought this to back up SD cards in the field. It crashes every time I try to copy the contents of my SD. If it worked it would be great, but it doesn’t so, and worried it will corrupt my data. Not worth any money as it didn’t do what it says it should.

I love this thing. It's not perfect, but with the optional Plex installation, it's a fantastic video streaming device for when you're in locations with spotty or expensive internet access. The built-in Wifi and battery make it a one-stop shop for streaming to tablets, and it pairs nicely with HDMI video sticks like the Fire or Roku if you want to watch on a larger screen.

I bought this drive to unload my SD cards on the go and it works just fine. The app need an upgrade in my opinion. I can’t see RAW files, only JPEGS... i didn’t figure out why.
