I purchased this item from Amazon.Com.The item arrived in time.Although it says 160GB but in reality its 148GB.Besides this problem, the portable drive works fine.

This drive does connect and allow me to store a lot of files. I have not tried to use any of the backup software yet.

This is another great product from Western Digital. It is very small and looks sharp. I would recommend getting a case for it because it looks like it would scratch easily. The software looks like it is easy to use for syncing data between PC's. I am only using it for storage right now. I like not needing an external power source. Good value hard drive.

There isn't a whole lot else to say. I will mention this, the fact that it does not need an external power supply makes using it with my laptop so much easier. I did experience some problems with it not hooking up properly, but I am suspecting that to be a problem with my USB drive/cable. It is a nice, solid, high quality hard drive, and the price makes it all worth it.

This is a great little backup drive. I use the older MacOS 10.3.9 on a 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4. The drive is (all but) completely compatible! I recommend reformatting the drive for Mac users; the PC filter hic-cups on special characters and other Mac eccentricities! No power cord, no transformer, just a USB 2.0 plug. A great little drive for the money!

I carry this on all my business travel for all the data I might need with clients. Small, handy and at 160 GB, plenty for me on the road. Four stars because of minor speed issues (feels slow sometimes.

product is not bed for the price, but when transfering data, I lost some file content. File itself was copied, but not what was in it. I can not say about product in general, becouse I never had problem with company before, but i am not happy with this item.

I ordered this on a Monday late afternoon and it was on my doorstep by 10 AM the next morning. Works great, looks great. The only thing missing is I wish it would come with a sleeve to protect the attractive shell.

Please dont buy any Western Digital Passport.. First check there capacity chart. As they using 1000 MB = 1GB and not 1024MB=1GB. Which is eating lost and lost of your space.

This was a very confusing peripheral for me to install and to use: it had all this software which I didn't need or understand. I had to write my brother who recommended it to tell me how to utilize it. Now I am satisfied and using it as a backup drive.

The Hard drive is great, small, easy to use, and does not require an additional cord for power. The only problem is that I bought a 160gb hard drive and got 147gb. I know that usualy you don't get the exact size you ordered, but 13gb, that's too much.

I do like this little tiny drive for making backups. The Western-Digital software is nowhere as good as the Dantz Retrospect software that I had on the last one. If you're "DOS-savvy", just go to the command prompt and do a "xcopy c:\*.* f:\*.* /d/s/c/y/h" and you don't need their software.

I have been using this device for two weeks with out any problem, Small, easy to install to a laptop, and have plenty of capacity I would recomend this portable to any who need to back up its files.
