I wanted a large monitor for doing animation. The monitor is great, but I've found the quality to lack when using the VGA connection. My computer only has VGA, and there is significant static in dark colors. The good news is that it works perfectly when connected with DVI instead and I'm going to be getting a new computer soon that has DVI, so I'm not worried about it.I tested the monitor on my wife's computer with DVI and it was sharp and clean, no static, so like I said, if you're computer has DVI connection, then this monitor is great for the price!Although, don't use it's speakers, they suck! They're really quiet.

I ordered this monitor which was "in stock" and Amazon doesn't ship until 15 days later?! I don't understand and don't care to endure this lack of service again.

Some pixels were damaged at the left hand corner of the Monitor, when I recd. this Product.Amazon was great and returned it immediatley. I am Amazon customer since last 6 years, this is the first time, I got damaged product.

Ive been using my ViewSonic VX2433wm for a few weeks now and have to say that I am very pleased with it. I still do not understand why they decided to embed speakers in this monitor as they do not (as one might expect) produce very high quality sound. That aside, the color, clarity, and performance have just been superb. My coworkers have screens that recently cost twice what this one did and they like mine better. Totally recommended!!

Very bright, excellent color, lots of input types. If you're wanting this to be a night-time going-to-sleep movie monitor, it's a bit bright for that. For a computer monitor, though, it's outstanding. No dead nor stuck pixels, either.

i bought this to upgrade from a 19 inch WS viewsonic monter and i have been blown away bright picture with a little tweeking and the greatest picture i have ever seen surfing the web watching movies or playing world of warcraft are the best and u dont need a giant video card to run it my pc has a nvidia 8500 gt 512mb and runs it great i truely love this moniter

Perfect product/size everything I wanted...But......1 pixel on left side is stuck bright blue, I've learned to ignore it, wasnt worth the hassle of sending it back and all of that.I will buy Viewsonic again.

Before i bought this item i did loads of reseach and for the price this monitor was the best. It was perfect for my dual screen setup and easily connected with my ps3 for hdmi 1080p perfect. built in speakers was a plus too.

I bought two 24" monitors at the same time to find out which was better (and because two people need one). The other was the ASUS VW246H. This monitor has sharper text, and in my opinion looks better. The GUI isn't as refined as the Asus but one never really bothers with that after initial setup. The speakers on this monitor are a joke but I didn't buy a monitor for its speakers so it's not an issue. If you want good monitor speakers, go with Asus' monitor -- besides the fact that they're on the back and close to each other [not much stereo] they're good speakers.

I installed this monitor yesterday and it looks great. I see no bad pixels and the detail and color quality are good. This product is a great value.

Not one dead pixel and very sharp text. It is bright out of the box so adjust as needed. Blue power button really isn't too bright but if so tape a small piece of paper over it and it'll be fine. Only problem is the EVGA GeForce 9800GT video card that I ordered a the same time is not working. That's another story.

I use this 100% for my xbox 360 and PS3 and the picture looks great. Sound is kinda bad, but I have a gaming headset so this is a non-issue for me. If you don't have a headset, or want to use this as a TV, I'd suggest looking at something with a TV tuner (they tend to have better speakers). Overall, great TV for my narrow use.Just an update: I purchased Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System (Black) for $25 and it complements the monitor perfectly. I have the monitor in a cabinet and the sub and both speakers fit behind the monitor. The little volumer controller sticks out under the monitor for use, but otherwise, you don't even know the speakers are there. If you are using this as a TV or console gaming monitor and want good inexpensive sound - consider adding these speakers.

I work on CAD based drawings and this monitor is just right. For what i do my drawings fit well on the screen. I estimate for a flooring company and this LCD makes it so much easier to view my prints. Love the size and the picture is kick ass!

This is a great monitor at a reasonable price. Easy to setup with included software and providing a great on-screen experience. Highly recommended! I bought two placed side-by-side the viewing experience is even better.

My kid uses this monitor for both his mac and xbox 360. It switches from source to source based on user input. It's also high def with great picture.

The image is excellent, the instructions for the sound connections as well as no response from View Sonic leaves the final part of the installation unresolved.Other than that the Monitor is great for the price.

The last monitor I purchaged before this one was a 17 inch CRT monitor in the early 1990s for $279. This is so far beyond that in size, price, color, you name it. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the monitor.

I purchased the ViewSonic VX2433WM from a warehouse retailer for an extraordinarily low price, which made it irresistable!This monitor has vivid, crisp colors and is excellent at displaying graphics and video! By default, it is exceptionally bright, so I adjusted both the contrast and brightness to about 50%. This is a very responsive monitor with no ghosting present. It also came with zero stuck or defective pixels, which made me very happy.The one area where this monitor could be improved is related to text display. At times, text can be a bit fuzzy on screen, but this is something I've noticed on other 24 inch displays before (notably Samsung). It's not a show-stopper, but text is not as clear as on my 19" monitor at home or at work.The built-in speakers are awful, with a really cheap sound. Fortunately, I don't plan to use them much. I think it has to do with function following form where, for beauty's sake, the speakers are on the back and downside of the monitor, creating an indirect sound. The sound is much worse than on my old 19" ViewSonic monitor.

This monitor has performed exactly like I expected. It takes a few seconds to "wake up" when I haven't been using it. Other than that, it's perfect.
