the item works great but it did show up 4 days late. My wireless router is on the other side of my apartment and I can still play any game without problems.

I recently bought this product for a desktop computer I built without a wireless card. I needed this wireless adapter to catch the signal and send it to my PC. The instructions were so clear and simple. They included step-by-step screen captures! EVERYONE should be able to set this up in no time and the connection is amazingly fast. It's just as good as having a wireless card built-in and it connects automatically on start-up. I would highly recommend this product!

I bought this to replace an old Netgear G adapter for my desktop after also getting a wireless-n router. It gets a full signal rather than only a bar or two like the old one did and the speed increase is amazing. Installation was a breeze with the included disk.

I was considering upgrading my wifi router because I was having difficulty picking up a solid signal across a few rooms on my netbook, particularly for video streaming. This device was an incredibly cheap solution for this. Works exactly as advertised. Also great for taking on the road and picking up open networks from a half block away.

This USB adapter is strides better than the PCI card it replaced on my desktop. My router is located across the house on the other side of several walls and electronic equipment and this adapter always gives me 5/5 signal (versus getting ~3/5 signal with my Netgear PCI adapter). It was an easy install without needing a restart.I noticed someone stated that it will lose connection when the computer wakes from sleep. This does not happen to me (I always use sleep, restart maybe once per month if that). I think this may vary depending on how different motherboards handle connected USB devices in the sleep/wake cycle.

We changed our home wireless network from G to N and found that the old desktop in the farthest room from the access point would not find the network with the old wireless G adapter that we had hooked up to it. The access point is in the basement family room, the desktop is on the first floor at the end of the house. I bought this because of the reviews. It took about 5 minutes to hook up and install driver. It immediately found our network. I entered the password and was connected. I'm connecting at 3 to 4 bars with really good speed. Great and inexpensive adapter. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I am not sure if is should purchase this product because it does not say whether or not it will work on Xbox 360 because i have the original one and has no WiFi and i want to find an adapter for it, should I buy this?

My computer only sits about 10 ft. from the router but it gets a great signal and the setup was quick and easy. Seems durable enough.

I'd like to write a helpful review about the drivers disc, the nice tech support response, or the ease of editing the parameters to get it to function. But I can't.I plugged this unit into a Linux box (Ubuntu 11.04), powered up, and It Just Works (TM); no driver loading, no setup settings, none of that. Well, it works pretty good, too. Before, I was using a spendy Belkin USB wireless adapter on a short extender cable and saw two wireless networks. With the TP-Link on its included 5-foot cable I saw 7 networks, including a fire station over a mile away. My box's network icon now shows only two bars where the Belkin often reported three, so I'm guessing the Belkin had a high opinion of itself, whereas the TP-Link reported that it could handle more. But the number of signals tells the true story.Highly recommended.

I bought this adapter to match up with the TP-Link TL-WR541G router. The router was on the oppposite end of my mod. home with 3 walls separating the two units. NO SIGNAL! and I played with this setup for half the night and finally gave up and sent both back for a refund. So, I don't know which was bad but I wasn't going to be pulling out my hair dealing with something that wasn't working the first time around. Maybe it'll work for you. -- Good Luck!

Given that I was only expecting to setup my five year old custom built tower to go wireless for the first time? This little adapter amazed me! Online video streams are faster.Connection was quick even for a aspiring geek like me. One side benefit? I now removed the adapter that came with my blu ray and use the left over Lan to connect Netflix HD streams for a faster download. Wonderful product! Will purchase at least two more for laptop and one for blu ray just in case I want to move it further away.TP-Link TL-WR841ND 300Mbps Wireless N Router

This product is great. It is reasonably priced and works great. My network card went in my laptop and using this gives me great internet connection. Now I don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on a new laptop.

Unfortunately was unable to test this item due to the fact that it arrived DOA. Attempted to power on via several different USB ports on different computers and the LED never powered on nor did Windows find the device. Returning it to try again.Update: Swapped out the micro-USB cable for another one lying around the house and the adapter booted up without issue. Looks like the cable they shipped me was bad. Using it on a 64-bit Win7 platform and it installed automatically without the need for the drivers included in the box. Now that the cable issue is resolved, it works great! Immediately started pulling down 20+ Mbps where previously my powerline ethernet solution was pulling 6. Still need to test the rate for streaming video and will update the review accordingly.

I was considering a replacement wireless modem - $85, for my HP laptop. Pretty crazy price. Saw this item on Amazon and it took me five minutes to restore connectivity to my computer. Love it, though, obviously, have to carry another piece of equipment. Easy connect, easy use. Don't have to be a geek to figure it out. Would have liked it to be a little narrower, so my two contiguous USBs could be used at once, but, perhaps, that is not a big deal. Don't use those USBs together very much, anyway.

I have owned this unit and the Alfa 1000mW. Compared the two at different locations. The Alfa 1000mW always outperformed the TP-Link TL-WN722N. The Alfa is priced higher but worth the extra cost.

I am brand new to Linux (Linux Mint 12) and I was having trouble getting my old wireless N PCI card (Ralink 2760 based) working with it. Rather than waste a bunch of time fooling with it, I bought this USB adapter. I plugged it into my computer and it immediately found a bunch of wireless connections. I selected mine, entered the encryption password and I was connected at 130 mb/s. The cord is 4.5 feet long so allows the adapter to be moved around to get a good signal. The green light is pretty darn bright but other that that this is the perfect USB wireless N adapter. Highly recommended!

My situation: Room with router is literally right next to the bedroom where I have my pc - but for some reason on my Linksys wireless adapter, I was BARELY getting 1-2 bars of signal strength, which in turn translated to under 1mbps of speed. Frustration galore! Read the reviews below, was slightly hesitant - but then again, it IS Amazon so what's to fear? Placed the order, got it the NEXT day (superb) and plugged in, installed, and WOW 5 BARS! Getting my full 5-6 mbps of speed now from my DSL router. THIS IS AMAZING. And for this price, can't be beat. Don't bother spending on the other "name-brands" - they charge more for crappy products that don't deliver. This is worth it--Going to check out to see if they make a modem/router - worth looking into. Enjoy!

Fast enough to handle streaming and all other internet needs. The vintage look only adds to the powerful nature. The antenna will pick up the faintest of signals. I pickup other internet signals from neighbors whose homes are an average of 100ft away from mine. Even works in the basement. Nothing beats the accuracy of an external antenna. Old cell phones and military phones hardly ever dropped calls because they both had external antennas. So rest assured your internet connection won't fail with this one.

I am using this for my Internet-capable Onkyo receiver -- I first tried Onkyo's own UWF-1 adapter, which didn't work at all. This little guy worked right off the bat -- I have buffer-free Internet radio streaming now. Great value.

I had a desktop computer on the 2nd floor of the house with a small USB-stick type wireless adaptor. It was having problems bringing in the signal from the FIOS wireless router in the basement. I substituted this unit and it made the problem go away. No problems in installing it on a Windows 7 machine.
