Very pleased ~ small, light, great for travel. (great for home too!) Lots of Reviews covering every detail imaginable here. But for me, I am very pleased with this and the MR3040.

The TP-Link portable wireless router is a great tool for the traveler. Small , yet very powerful , this device lived up to it's claims.I was very satisfied with the results I got and will recommend it to my friends and family.

The router kept getting disconnected, and signal was weak on my devices. The size and look of the product is nice, but did not work well for me. I returned this item.

I purchased this items to serve as a wireless NAS for my Nexus 7 tablet. Out of the box, you cannot setup as a NAS. I updated the firmware to OpenWRT and configured it to do NAS as a hotspot and over my home and vzw hotspots. Works like a charm. Now I have all of my media on tap at all times. I definitely recommend this product.

I usually power it with either Laptop's USB, or my PowerGen battery pack.First thought that it will be some cheap junk. In the short-term (less than a month of usage), I am impressed with it.It works better and easier to set-up than Li*, Ne*, or Be* brand that I have used.Lots of features too. For this one, you also have an option to load WRT, but I have not play with that yet.

Fantastic little router, flashed it to OpenWRT and was off to the races. The Atheros radio can do a lot of neat tricks and the available USB port paired with a tiny USB flash drive (like a SanDisk Cruzer Fit SDCZ33-008G-B35 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive - Black) gives you plenty of space to do whatever you want with openwrt.

Worked with this for hours.. Trying to make it connect a usb760... It detects the modem and resets, over and over. Called my ISP for help, contacted TP LINK.... no success.. The Instructional CD that comes with it is about half the size of a standard CD, not something I can use.. The instructions are obviously written by someone who does NOT speak English... I returned this POS....

I never booted up the device long enough to use it. I installed the piratebox software on it and have used them everywhere for sharing files locally. It's great for classrooms, trainings, conferences, or someplace without Internet. Just fire it up, powered by USB port, and share at 802.11N speeds.Fits anywhere. Easy to carry around.

Works great. Easy to pack and since I started using it I have no trouble with it. Trasmits the signal a few hunderes feet and even through the steel walls of my trailer. Deffinitely happy with my purchase.

This is a great compact device to help you create your own wireless hotspot. It took me a while to set up but once I had it operational I have been very pleased with the product.

You will need to buy an additional datacard since it does not include the option to attach the 3G sim to it. Do not waste your money.

I spent a couple of hours playing around with this the TP-LINK TL-MR3020 and I just couldn't get it to work in WISP mode. I logged in, followed the quick setup, found my client SSID by scanning, etc. but after a reboot the wireless was no longer working (even though the light was on) and it had not connected to the client WLAN. I tried a couple of different things: multiple reboots, reflashing the firmware, connecting from WLAN and LAN for initial config with no luck.I've also tried the Tenda W150M and although it had a lot of little problems at least it worked the first time around.

Unboxed it and flashed it with OpenWRT in five minutes. Works perfectly and is super sweet little linux router that can do some amazing stuff for it's size!

I received my device just a couple of days ago and it's bricked since I attempt to upgrade firmware. Immediately, I got in touch with Tp-Link customer service but they advised me to throw it and buy a new one. It can be happen for any Brand router but Tp-Link blame me that you did it and now, it's your fault and your problem. I didn't expect a new device from Tp-Link. I just looked for only a technical advise what to do in that situation with their product and I think I have right to ask for a technical service as I paid money to their product.Very poor customer support. I suggest this product to whom collects money from streets or brick collectors like me. you welcome to join me.

I first think about apple air for my travel because many hotels here and there don't offer wireless and I want only my iPad with me. After seeing the apple reviews talking about difficult installation, I gave up because I am no tech person. I happened to come across this one, not much reviews neither,but one of them mentioned that it's plug and play. It's cheaper too, so why not! To my surprise, the product is very pretty, small,extremely light, and no configuration is needed,but just a plug and I saw my wifi working. Now I want to learn how to set a password if possible and will try in hotel setting to see if it works the same. Then, I will come back to update my review...if I remember :)

These little guys are great of loading OpenWRT on and using for anything you want.I'm ordering tons of these to make Pirateboxes for people because you can easily power them with a bunch of AAs and a voltage regulator.
