The power supply of 1050 watts, and the rgb light above my favorite, is really great. It looks very beautiful at night. The power is enough to be a perfect match for gaming computers.

The PSU isn't that bad, but
The PSU itself is not that bad. However, the software that you use to control the lighting and power usage make this, imho not worth buying.
I did not like the software you need for this PSU, so I removed it (there is no reason that a PSU software needs monitor my pc and pass it on to someone else). After uninstalling it and rebooting my system I started getting an error message that Windows could not find a ”Thermaltake DPS power.exe” file. After looking in the usual startup places (Task Manager and Startup Folder) and windows services, I could not find and remove where it was starting from. I even tried reinstalling and uninstalling again with other uninstallers with the same results.
Edit: Support finally contacted me with how to get rid of the error. The software does not uninstall itself properly so you have to manually remove folders and entries in the task scheduler. Sad that these companies are so lazy with software dev.
Note: This PSU’s lighting can be controlled by the TT RGB Plus software to synchronize lighting with the fans.

Software and capabilities far to limited to be of any use or value.
Beware the software to use with this is very basic and does not even allow you to see power per port nor control any output of the device. You can also only see power trend data by allowing it to publicly upload and share your logs and location to their website. Using the software I was able to see the exact location of everyone else with this device and their data. Nice looking hardware but it's all fluff and it seems to be an open invitation to hacking (it literally opens 8 ports to the open internet for unknown reasons besides the not working control software to power off).

Overall this is a good working product but there are so many issues that I likely would not recommend this GPU or any others that work with the same software.
The individually sleeved cables were nice but they were difficult to use cable combs with as most of them had two smaller cables in one pin.
The software is the biggest issue here though. It is lacking in a lot of areas.
The LED control is sub-par and the information it produces about my products aren't all that great.
If you are considering this or the Corsair AX1500I or something similar I would go with Corsair, even though they do not have RGB. The software is much more thought out and well implemented. The software here has the ability to tell me more information about my GPU usage and CPU usage but it is mostly filled with N/As and doesn't tell me much about what's going on with my products.
I also constantly get a notification popping up which states my PSU fan is running abnormally and there is some issue but it seems to be running fine. More than likely a bug. I would not recommend this product to others unless they really updated it.
The one useful thing about the software is that it tells me how many overall KWs I've used and my monthly cost so far, which I can change my KW/h cost.

Decent Rainbow Barf PSU, Dangerous Software
If you want a PSU that sits on the stock RGB setting and gets the job done, I can endorse this product. I'll even say it looks good.
If you want to change that RGB setting, buy a different RGB PSU. Thermaltake's software increased my CPU temp by 10 degrees, and after some investigation I found it was sending data without permission, and potentially running some suspicious bitcoin outsourcing action. I am already pursuing legal action about this.
Feel gross about the whole thing. They also haven't gotten back to me on returns so I'll honestly be buying something different altogether.

new one blew up
I got a new one and it was the right power supply I installed it and it blew up when I turned it on. To be honest I dont think it was new cause it was missing cords in particular the 4x4 atx cord and Im going to see about returning it and I hope when it blew it didnt damage any of the rest of my $5,500 new computer I'm building.

Defective Product!
I order several items from Thermaltake. However the psu is defective. Amazon send me another new one. .. it again item is defective. 2 same item are defective. I lost more than 2 weeks. Without psu i could not run my pc. Just a question. How brand new 2 products can be defective?

Dead on Arrival, Buyer Beware
I bought the power supply for a custom game PC build. Got busy with life. Went to finish the build only to find out PSU is DOA. Now I’m probably out the entire cost of the PSU. The real shame is I bought ThermalTake for almost everything in the build, hopefully other parts like fans are more reliable.

... PSU for my TR 1950x build and everything looked good until the fan stopped working
Update: After couple of emails with TT tech, reinstalled DPS program and adjusted the firewall settings, the fan is up and working.
Bought this PSU for my TR 1950x build and everything looked good until the fan stopped working. Now the fan would spin for a few seconds and stop whenever I first power on the PC. Taking 1 star off since Thermaltake has been pretty good about exchanges.

looks cool, but it fried my hard drives
i mean, when you have the lights matching the rest of your system, it looks great. but that was a heavy price to pay. now 2 of 3 of my storage devices (both SATA HDDs, 3rd on is an NVMe SSD) are dead. the two drives i had were for my games (D:\) and misc. files (E:\), C:\ is just for windows. I've lost all my data. beyond pissed.

Great and beautiful PSU. Uninstall the software
I first used it with Ryzen 2700x, overclocked to 4.125Ghz, ran normally with stress test, rendering, gaming but randomly shut down while browsing web or watchYoutube video. Disable overclock, same problem. Thought I had a bad extension cable, removed cable, same problem. Exchanged the PSU, same problem. Can't use the system without a week of PC randomly shut down. Can't be my motherboard as it was good with my old Thermaltake PSU. I noticed HWinfo64 can't start without Thermaltake software, plus the software can be use to shutdown PC. Uninstalled the garbage-UI software, system never crashed since.
My advice, install the software and pick your favorite RGB theme, then remove it, not worth the time
Edit: it was not the software's fault, turned out it was my USB 2.0 cable that caused problem. But I still recommend against using the software if as it interfere with HWInfo64

Awesome PSU higher Price for fancy RGB
What can I say this PSU is great for almost any setup. It is efficient, handled 4 GPUs 6900xt, 6800xt, rx580 and 470 like a champ. Intel i7 CPU 16GB ram and one SSD. Close to 800w of use and it went strong no issues. The RGB lighting on this PSU is awesome to look at though not really needed for my setup, but I can see this being a great edition to a custom case. Only downside is the TTD software that monitors the power it can glitch out when starting up with windows but depending on your machine your YMMV on it working. I sadly returned this product due to finding a more cheaper and more wattage version of the TT PSU. I felt the price was higher for this PSU just because of the more advanced RGB lighting. I say if you want more wattage and less show go with their non RGB or higher wattage products. Rest assured I will be getting another TT for their value and quality.

H_0x0001 Software error prevents RGB configuration...
Build quality is great, enough cables but cannot configure with the ThermalTake RGB software. After scouring the internet for answers, everyone agrees that ThermalTake support is worthless and no one has found a fix for this error. I am going to avoid TT RGB products in the future.

Rgb lights up but software can't find the power supply
Works but the ThermalTake software doesn't control the the rgb lighting. It says an error that nothing to control was found. No matter what the lights stay rainbow. Just by a normal one and save money.

Great PSU. Terrible RGB control software.
Bought PSU to get rid of buzzing/coil whine on my old. PSU is super quiet and has RGB has advertised. Sadly the profiles don't get saved to the PSU fan controller and starts up in RGB rainbow mode each boot. Save yourself the hassle of trying to install ThermalTake's RGB Plus/DPS G tool for RGB control and just get TTController from github.

Very good Power Supply
So glad I got this. The software is great. Easily syncs the RGB lighting with the software for the cpu cooler. Keeps track of energy usage. Not exactly thrilled that a subscription is required to remotely monitor the power supply, but I get it, at least you have a choice to use it or not. Overall very happy with this purchase.

In terms of reliable power and awesome rgb its great
I really hate the fact I need to use a usb header on my board for this. I don't even have a open header. So thermaltake tells me to run a usb wire from the inside of my case to the outside into a usb plug. I would have downvoted this power supply if it wasn't so good.

Works great
Took about 1 hour to install the power supply however if you want to use the features you will have to find a USB power connection on the motherboard. I had to pull the power cable to one of my USB ports to use this feature.

Initial PSU was defective, but the second one worked
Just built a new pc and the psu is defective. Not exactly a great way to start things off, thermaltake. I'm going to try another one. I'll update this if things go well.
UPDATE: The second one works quite well. However, the Thermaltake software is clunky and won't let me change any of the PSU lighting, so that's definitely a one star off.

Make sure you have a USB 2.0 header available.
Its a great psu. Been running a delidded 8700k for about 1.5 years now. Only minor complaint is that my fan in my unit inparticular rubs a bit on power up. Beyond that no issues.

Really great PSU
The PSU runs at high efficiency and definitely supplies enough wattage for my computer while being good in my utilities bill. Only issue would be that the software to control the RGB is not made easy to find and install. Didn't take a star for that, just something I think should be made more readily available to the end user
