I bought this 'like new' CD Changer to replace a previous model that had gone 'casters up'. I shopped for cheap, but bought one that said it worked. It never did the carousel would rotate, but the unit never recognized that there was one (or more) CDs in it and it never loaded or played any CDs. I have had good experience with this brand and I like the features available on this model. I guess next time I won't shop for the least expensive offering.

I was looking for a replacement CD player since my ancient Aiwa finally gave up the ghost. While I listen to a large amount of digital music, sometimes I just like the immediacy of throwing a CD in and pressing play. This unit was a good price and fit what I was looking for, namely just a CD transport. I hooked this up to an external DAC via the TOSLINK output, so I can't speak to the quality of the internal DAC.
Pros:
Allows changing of two discs while one is playing
TOSLINK and coaxial digital outputs
Good price
Cons:
The disc tray opens and closes very, very slowly. Switching discs also takes a long time.
The unit emits a high frequency buzz. Time will tell if this goes away. Thankfully it's not very noticeable when music is playing.

The cd player is great the sound is better than my older cd player is and with my vintage 2250b marantz amp I bought back in 1976 it works good and I would say this cd player is a very good pic for the money.

Great price and quality. I am lucky to have found this unit. My last cd component lasted more than a decade. Now that music is moving away from discs to devices and mp3 downloads, I feel lucky to have found this item. I just hope cds don't go away completely. I will miss the cover inserts, artwork, and cases. Downloading mp3's into a device just isn't the same. This is a wonderful unit. Thank you Amazon ;-)

For years I played cd's with another name brand. When the need came up I was happy this teac player was available. An I am very pleased with the performance.

The first shipment was a defective product and we had to return. The second worked okay but it satred acting up after one and a helf years. Now it won't function at all. Very disappointed.

Started having issues after 3 months with disc 1 position not playing. Then there was a humming noise during playback all the time. Should have returned it then, but didn't. Stopped using it all together after 1 year. Thought maybe it was a refurb, but it was new. I guess for $100, you get what you pay for. Steer clear of this one, or any multi disc player for that matter.

What's wrong with this picture? I walk into a store where 3 salespeople are standing around talking - and don't stop talking to wait on me....What to do?.....Go home, go onto Amazon.com (my favorite place to shop), and order a TEAC 5 cd changer at 12 noon; it's delivered the very next day, at 11 a.m. I thought the set up would be complicated, but I simply pulled out the old 5 cd changer, and installed the TEAC in about 5 mins. It works perfectly, easy directions, easy to install, and sounds great (well, I have it hooked up to my home theater setup). The most difficult part was getting the electric cord thru the back of the entertainment center. This is a great unit and Amazon makes it easy to obtain, at a reasonable price. It plays CD-RW cds, and MP3 files recorded on CD-R. No more skipping all the homemade cds in the changer. Continuous music has been restored for the holidays. I recommend this unit.

Shpment received on time and all appeared to be in order. Connected it to my Yamaha Amp however the remote was dead on arrival. Replaced the batteries with new ones of a different brands several times but it still would not operate on any function. Finally tried to play a CD and received a loud hum on the right channel. Replaced the cable provided 3 times with the same results. Gave up amd called Amazon for a refund. Amazon's cooperation was great. They credited my Credit Card prior to receiving the defective unit, that is incredible! YOU PURCHASE THIS UNIT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

We had a JVC CD Player that lasted 20 + years, and it finally quit working. We bought this as a replacement. Installation was very easy. We orginally bought this unit. but we returned it for it's lack of "Full Shuttle". We replaced it with a Sony CDP-CE500, Brought both of these items thru Amazon.com with NO HASSLES about the return, or any complaints. It's a shame as Technology progresses, Componets like these become dinosaurs.

Ended up ordering this in error, but had not problem returning it. When looking at players, people reallt need to be very clear what they want and order. So many look a like. I was looking for a 5 disc DVD player.

Can't go wrong for the price. Shuffle mon an MP3 disc lets you sp-in 120 or so songs or on average 60 jazz tunes.
Only drawback is that you shuffle only works on one mp3 disc at a time. I would buy this unit again.

You know when this product was shipped, it did not work at all! I knew I was buying it used, but not working? When I contacted Amazon, and let them know my unit did not work....they refunded me my money and let me keep the unit! Then I contacted TEAC, and for about the same price I had originally paid for a used unit-they repaired the CD player! Win, win, for everyone! Thank you Amazon and TEAC!

I am not a techie, so I need something like the TEAC PD-D2610. I play a lot of multi-disc opera. My only complaint is that it is difficult to find the first cd slot without using the remote control to key in on it to begin with. Thank God the remote control is a work-around.

It is what it says it is. Plays MP3 discs for hours of music. Fits well into my system, although an Ipod does the same thing with more selections, I wanted it and the price was reasonable.

I have used this machine maybe, tops, six times since we got it. The on/off button broke. Now I am trying--so far unsuccessfully--for someone (either TEAC or Amazon) to help me with Customer Service. Even though the unit was fine, while it lasted, I certainly couldn't recommend it, if you want to play it more than once every two months.
