Хорошая модель
- + Первый HiFi плеер в жизни (подарила гёрлфренд).
С ходу бросается в глаза дизайн - тупо плотный кирпичик с ладошку величиной, физическими переключателями и православным jack. Построен на девятом "лагодром" андроиде, что требует глубокой первичной настройки - но окупается почти полным контролем над системой, с выбором плеера/лаунчера/программируемыми кнопками.
По звуку сравниваю с iPhone XS и разница Есть: изначально хорошо сведенный, после конвертированный и иногда отремастированный трек сразу даёт сцену с четким расположением инструментов, сочным басом, звонким (не стеклянным) вокалом и "чувством смычка" на струнных - и это без улучшайзеров типа ClearAudio+ или DSEE Ultra. При последних музыка - не вся, это высшая лига и музыка нужно перебирать - порой значительно преображается, даже в моих MDR-EX650AP. - - Думал, что он выше - на постоянной основе можно словить когнитивный диссонанс от крохотного дисплея, где не помещаются длинные названия и обложку не рассмотреть.
К физическим кнопкам привыкаешь не сразу, плюс диаметр громкости-переключения треков разнится (почему не одинаковые?) и приходится теребонькать вслепую на счет, благо оставили насечки на PLAY/VOLUME UP.
Андроид как благо и как бич: незнакомым придется "помучится" под капотом системы для обезжиривания оной, что отразится на скорости/времени работы, олдам - жир тюнинга. Время отклика системы, конкретно штатного...

- + - Внешность. Приятно выполнен, матовый пластик тактильно смахивает на деревянный корпус, качественно сделано, без зазоров, скрипов и прочих ляпов.
- Сам плеер walkman, тот что встроенный, очень удобный как были и те, что встраивали в телефоны SonyEricsson Walkman. В сравнении с Aimp безоговорочно лидирует в плане удобства пользования.
- Звук. Он действительно чистый даже по bluetooth. У меня он работает с парой колонок JBL Extreme 3. - - - Внутренняя память. Не стоит на нее расчитывать (скрины ниже). Из 16 только 8 занимает Андроид, плюс у меня 3гб какие то еще приложения (не вникал), на музыку из нее останется очень мало, я сразу взял micro sd на 128гб чтобы не думать о том что бы удалить чтобы что то закинуть.
- Батарея. Указано время работы 26 часов. Может быть это и правда но если не слушать музыку, просто включить и пусть лежит 26 часов, полнейшая глупость конечно. В режиме воспроизведения, комбинированном, кабель/воздух, батарея держится часа 4 не более. То есть если он живет дома то в принципе норм, если в машине то тоже, а если на ходу в кармане то в обнимку с небольшим powerbank.
Существенный недостаток для такого плеера, который не из дешевых.

Product comes with Android 9 with pre installed sound boost apps like S Clear audio, Bass boost, Voice clear....etc.

These are great, not have the powerfull output of Fiio M11 as it is more expensive than this. But pair any high end headphone, earphone and it will just sound fuller.
The Android piece of this is just as clean as its physical design. The Android 9 works great with few hick ups sometimes but is great. Better than any Android based player, it have built-in Playstore so sky is ur limit. Install any music streaming app or audio player of choice.
401DPI screen is just beautiful.
One request is if you gonna use this, get a good pair of earphones, and for flac, get a Hi-Res based earphones as then only you'll see the difference.

The hardware is beautiful. Sturdy, nice design, great screen.
However, the battery life is terrible. I have the NW-A45 too and when I go on a weeklong trip I don't bring the charging cable for it. The NW-1005 drains every day. When I listen to music I can see how the battery charge drops in real time. This is said to be an Android issue, and I don't doubt it.
Also, the app interface is cumbersome. On the NW-A45, everything is accessible directly: music, Bluetooth setup and paring, equalizer, etc.
With the Android interface, you need to have a few apps, and you need to master the Android settings (which I don't want). After 4 days, I haven't been able to connect to my Bluetooth headphones (Sony, Sennheiser, Microsoft). I use cable.
I think the gadget is trying to do too many things. I just want to listen to music with great quality (FLAC). The rest of the Android app universe is of no interest to me whatsoever. I can do those things on my phone.
It's suggested to pin the music app to the start screen. It helps a bit, but it has to be unpinned when I want to make adjustments.
Four those who want an Android version of the iPod, this gadget may be good. For listening to music, it is not. Looks great though.

My motivation for this purchase was to have hi-res playback and streaming services in a device dedicated for sound (as opposed to the phone). The sound is fantastic, and the device is as easy to use as any other Android-based device.
One odd quirk: When plugged into a power source, the player will not stay turned off. It will stay off when on battery power. If it is then plugged in, it will automatically start up. The first time I contacted Sony, they replaced the unit. The new one did the same thing straight out of the box. This time I was escalated to the top-tier support desk, where I was informed that this is not a malfunction. Rather, the player is designed to stay on while plugged in.
I've had a lot of Android devices (including a different music player), but I've never experienced seen that "feature" before.
Which costs it a fifth star. With its well-documented battery-eating tendencies, users are best served to keep the device on a power connection if they're not mobile. However, it can't be good for it to stay on ALL the time. So there's an extra step of unplugging it and then turning it off for the night. Maybe a firmware update could fix this or at least make it an optional feature?

Very disappointed in this Sony. I lose 1% battery life during boot! I lose 18-20% listening with bluetooth headphones and no wifi in 1 hour. This is worse than widely reported (and almost everyone else says it's poor) but maybe my unit is defective. I disabled virtually every app and service that can be disabled safely and it helps very slightly. Also I get intermittent skipping on music stored on the player. I will have to return this device unfortunately, and hope Sony fixes this in the future. Although it sounds good and is an attractive player, I cannot recommend it as the battery life is unacceptable.

There are is no soft case or headphones included with this item. Sounds amazing otherwise. Battery life is acceptable...but could be better.

Antes de nada decir que no suelo escribir reseñas, si algún producto no me gusta lo devuelvo o no lo compro y punto, soy melomano y friki del sonido y estoy indignado con esta compra, mucho dsd, clear audio , zzz , hi-res etc, etc, conocedor de marcas como Fiio, que tiene un sonido excelso pero el software es exasperante y aun teniendo ya una mala anterior experiencia con el anterior modelo de este producto , vuelvo a confiar en Sony que casi siempre me defrauda , con la linea de teléfonos móviles y con sus walkmans, en fin paso a dar mi opinión , NO SUENA, el sonido es tan bajo que es igual que escuchar con unos auriculares de los chinos, con un aparato que cuesta 349 €, mas unos auriculares también de Sony de gama alta de otros 300 € , uno espera como mínimo un decente sonido, pero no es una autentica castaña, se cual es el problema que es la estupidez de la limitación de sonido de la Union Europea, si yo como melomano me quiero reventar los oídos es mi problema, pero 15 ingenieros de sonido por decir algo para diseñar esto, y que no se oiga me parece una autentica estafa.Hasta que no le quiten la limitación de sonido es tirar el dinero.Devuelto con dos canciones escuchadas.Espero que les sirva.

No para audiófilos
Ante todo, esta reseña va de parte de alguien que se podría considerar un audiófilo de cierto nivel. He probado a lo largo de los años muchos reproductores de audio dedicados como la marca Fiio o hiby. Y estos sony están muy lejos de compararse en sonido; ni siquiera en materiales de construcción. En relación calidad precio deja mucho que desear por un reproductor que supera los 300€. Con ese dinero te compras un reproductor dac de las otras marcas que he mencionado y te satisfacerá mil veces más que estos sony.
Es que he buscado como loco en páginas y en comentarios sobre qué chip de audio dedicado lleva y no he encontrado nada.
Lo poco positivo que he visto en ellos es su tamaño compacto y el sistema Android que lleva

Decepcionante, que el A55 sea mejor que esto ya es mucho decir
El sonido con auriculares de cable es muy bajo aun desactivando el avls, vaya decepción, saco el doble de volumen de mi movil s9 plus, tendré que volver al A55 que tiene mucha mas bateria aunque no utilice puerto tipo C y que si tenía más volumen, utilizando los cascos bluetooth si se consigue un poco mas de volumen, pero no me compensa como para quedarme esto, podía haber sido un super walkman pero sony la embarró bien con este, acabo de probar el Fiio m5 y saco 3 veces mas volumen comparandolo con esto y solo a un tercio del precio de esto.
