" I have a preference to Sony because they hear the way that I want to hear,in all their electronics.Here is some real knowledge.When you see frequency response:4-25 Hz,impedance :16 ohms,sensitivity(db):105 db/mW..with any headset,try it,buy it.I have large ear cups,you know,the over the ears type.They have those same specifications and are Sony.These ear buds from Sony have the capability to bring the sound if you are plugged into something that drives the sound.Like any other ear wires that connect to the sound,you have to treat them right for longevity."

I picked these up when they more than %50 off. Best decision in a long time. I work in a busy office where I can become easily distracted while attempting to write papers. These earbuds do a fantastic job at noise cancelling and puts me with the music. The bass is great too. Listening to the self-titled Gorillaz album with these headphones is a completely different (and better) experience than a listen with my older earbuds.
Highlly recommended to those who 1) prefer earbuds over ear-cover headphones, 2) like to hear the bass in their music, and 3) don't want to pay arm and leg.

I bought this earphone because of the price & because of my prior experience w/ Sony earphones. I am pleased w/ the purchase to date. The sound reproduction, especially the bass is very good and compares very favorably w/ earphones costing twice the price.

These headphones are my absolute favorite. The sound is great and they are very comfortable in your ears. I've gotten two people to switch over to these headphones from their Beats...Just something to consider!

Just got this from Amazon, for a great price..!! the sound is very clear hi's and Bass are really good balanced .... Comes with a carring puch and other cool accesories and extra noise cancelling ear pads... I would really recomend this..!!

The product is excellent. I have used MDRXB40EX but this is more comfortable than the previous one. The wire is tangle free and the bass is next to none. I use this with high treble settings and still this kicks a** :)

Pros:
The base is fantastic. I enjoy it a lot. I listen to a lot of tech and bass heavy music so this fits my listening style very well. I like the quality of the sound as well.
Cons:
I had to play around with the headphone earpiece sizes. They fit my now but this is something that I think people should be aware of. The vocals and other parts of the overall sound experience feel kind of diminished in comparison to the base. When I was looking for a pair of headphones, I was looking for a FULL sound experience that I could immerse myself in. Right now I'm still testing them out so I will come back to update this review.

I love the sound with this set of ear buds. The bass is great but missing just a little bit in the highs, but I can live with that. It looks like Sony has greatly improved the cords to their ear buds, I'll see with time. An earlier version of this Sony ear bud was weak in the cord department and failed after a year and half of use. I only wish that Sony made a iP version of the MDRXB60EX so I could enjoy them with the functionality for my iPhone. Sony still does good work with their audio products. Great price in Amazon too!

When my last set of ear buds bit the dust I decided to go with something new. I bought a cheap pair as a stop gap and couldn't wait until this pair got here. I have to say that I'm extremely disappointed with the sound quality. I tend to listen to audio books and so my sound requirement isn't all that great. These headphones sound tinny and took some getting used to. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I had a pair of Yurbuds that were perfect but I'm hard on ear buds. I won't buy these again but I highly recommend the Ironman Yurbuds.

I was very pleased with the sound, the bass is great and doesn't muffle the other sounds. This would be a 5 star review if it weren't for the design of these things. They literally stick out of your ear a good inch and don't like to stay in, while that doesn't sound like a big deal it kinda is. If you live in a cold place and like to wear beanies while having earbuds in, these aren't for you as it is just impossible to find a way to comfortably position these while putting a beanie over them. Also I like to wear earbuds on plane rides, road trips, and before falling asleep. All of which tend to have my head tilted to one side or the other, but with these earbuds you can't have anything push up against them or else your ears will just hurt or they will be shoved in really far. Normal earbuds have similar issues, but not nearly as dramatic. All in all, great sound, really great sound, but horrible design. Just a very awkward fit. Returning them today.

Jumped on the bandwagon after I read a few reviews and couldn't be happier. Do not spend ridiculous amounts of money on a set of headphones simply buy these. The sound is fantastic and believe me I have tried plenty of more expensive ones. The bass is smooth and deep at high volumes, the highs are dead on, the fit is pure and comfortable, and they look great. Top it off with a nice durable wiring!!! Excellent! Been working out, running, lifting, etc and they are in perfect condition. BUY THEM! If you are disappointed then there is something wrong with you, your ears, or both.

I'm an avid fan of Sony MDR earbuds, I've owned about 4 pairs of MDR EX-75's (now named EX61) now. Audio quality-wise I feel these are on par with the MDR EX75, but with more oomph and boom to the bass, if you really like boomy bass for say, hip hop, rap, dance type genres, these will work great for you. But the lack of music remote control, and the much clunkier earbuds are a deal breaker for me. These cons and the lack of significant audio improvement means I will stick with the EX75 (EX61) for years to come.

I wish I purchased these before the XBA-1 buds. These sound great and full sound but don't create the necessary suction in the ear for running. Oh well, I now have a great pair for running and one for sitting as well.

I personally think the Klipsch IMAGE S4 headphones sound better but these are probably the best headphones out right now for the price. $35 is tough to beat. I like how they give you so many different ear plugs, a felt bag to hold the headphones in and the cord is tough and durable. The headphones are comfortable. Great value.

These premium quality iem's are 100% sound perfection, especially if you have an extensive equalizer on phone and mp3 player, it takes a good 45mins to an hour to adjust to perfect sound. and find a tip to fit your ear preference...other than that I have nothing bad to say about this product. ..delivery was quicker than promised...oh and if u set your eq settings properly, these have a over ear.. premium bass feel.Yea they're that good...and the price stole the cake..

I previously had the Sony Mdr-xb21ex but I lost them about a month ago, and was looking for another pair of bass heavy headphones ( I love my bass!!) so I figured since I try these out, they had positive reviews.
I think these Mdr-xb60ex are ok they did not blow me away, they sounded very similar bass wise to my previous ones which were significantly cheaper,I figured my head would be rumbling for the price but I cant complain because the bass is still very prominent.
Pros:
Bass yes, there's bass if that's what your looking for :)
Cons:
I probably would have given these five stars if it wasn't for the way they stick out of your ears... I find it very unappealing honestly they look like golden car doors sticking out of you ears but that's just me.

Pimpin Gold Color, but Fantastic comfort and even better sound! Classic Sony Headphone quality! I have owned almost every brand of headphone made including Jvc, Bose, Panasonic, Sony, Sennheisser, Addidas, Nike, and many other top dollar in ear headphones due to the fact that I work out 6 days a week and ride road bikes and sweat usually shorts them out in no time flat! The best sound per dollar with durability I have spent yet is either Sony or Panasonic NO Questions asked! Bose never shorted but they fell out of my ears due to poor earpiece design!

I have always liked sony headphones, however these appeared bulky and weirdly shaped for earbuds. having gotten them, I can say they are a very comfortabl fit in the ear (there are 7 choices of ear buds for a perfect fit) and they are incredibly light. when it comes to sound, they have a very deep rich, yet tight bass that tricks you into thinking you're sitting on a 15" subwoofer. The headphones also cleanly handle the highs and midrange as well. You don't have to crank the bass up to enjoy these headphones at all. If you have a decent player (anything with good EQ settings, samsung phone, sony walkman, laptop,) these headphones are great. I don't really recommend them for an ipod/iphone as you can't really tune the audio properly to get the full experience these headphones provide.

I was that kind of person who only would last with the headphones for about two months. But, this pair of earbuds have broke my record. I believe the thick chord has to do with it. Anyway, I really recommend this for the best sound. The bass remarks with this ones, if you are into bass music such as electro and hip hop.

The sound quality of these headphones are great. They totally mute out any outside noise interference. My only complaint is they pop out of my ear unexpectedly, other than that minor detail, pretty solid headphones if you don't mind the gaudy gold exterior.

These are good ear buds. Good bass and sub bass response, nice build quality. Flat tangle free cable is nice, feels solid all round.
Its not very clear and the bass isnt any where near the mdr xb500's but its still pretty decent. Recommended for bass heads on a budget. If you're a music lover and want to really enjoy all spectrum levels of your songs look elsewhere.
My final verdict is that they're good ear buds, plenty bass but thats about it.

The ear piece portion fits secure. I recommend buying the extra ear cushions to have on hand as they will not stay in the ear without them it have lost a few as I need to remove them from time to time. The biggest difference you will notice is the rich sound and although not totally sound cancelling the background noise is greatly reduced. The bass makes all the difference to me and that is what you and I are looking for! You will be glad you paid the additional price it so worth it, you will hear the difference.

I was looking for a decent headphones without having to spend alot. I like deep and strong bass and this headphone really produces strong bass performance. The cable appear to be strong and the gold color also looks cool.

These supposed "extra" bass headphones really lack bass all together. I'm not an expert and not going to comment on 'great mid highs' etc.
I am an average consumer looking for quality headphones with quality bass. I would definitely not recommend these to anyone seeking high sound quality or loud bass.

these earbuds were amazing!!!! i expected a little more bass but it has more bass then beats by dr dre and it is clear even when you turn it up all the way. it also has great style but when ever someone uses them they dont know how to put them in their ear. but overall best earbuds ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally love these earbuds, the sound is totally awesome, crisp and clear and the bass you can feel deep into your soul. The only flaw (if u want to call it a flaw) is laying down with them in -they tend to want to fall out, other then that No complaints at all.

The sound is impressive. The fit is very good, too. These were my two biggest criteria, so I'm happy with them. They are large in size (in comparison to others) and the gold color is not subtle.

Due to an accident where the headphones where ripped from the cord (totally my fault, very good quality) The Audio was so good I couldn't believe it was in such a small package. The plastic ear fitters keep out all external noise. I can mow my yard and not even hear the lawn mower. Just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I have been with these headphones.

Just got these and found them to sound sweet. The extended bass is on the money and the mids and highs sound smooth and easy to listen to for long periods of time. Sony generally doesn't impress me anymore, but this and some of there other headphones and earbuds are an exception. They can still make some great sounding headphones. I haven't tried these at the gym yet, but they might not be the best for extreme activity as they are a little heavier and bulky. I have some other Sony earbuds that might hold in the ear a bit better for the more physical exercising. Also have dropped my Apple MP3 players for a Sony. The Sonys have much better control of EQ than Apple. Never thought my ipod would be replaced by a Sony.

This is one of the best earbud/IEM for the money. Just look at the price! The bass is very clear and the sound is not muffled like other extra bass earphones. I have been a big fan of Sony's earbuds. I have the MDR-EX310LP and I've been using them in the gym for more than a year. Those sounded awesome and now these sound even better!
