This Battery & Charger Systems works Fine…
Including these two batteries, along with and my original camera batteries,
I now rotate about “five” batteries…
…, in general;
I would STILL like to have MORE POWER in “all” of the “different Bands of batteries” that I currently use…
Things I Considered, = Since the advent of my 1st digital Cameras, I have not purchased one roll of limited to 36 exposure 35mm film or 12 exposer 120mm film, and have not had any need to have a darkroom set-up. (for film & picture chemical processing..!)
Instead, now that I’ve gone digital;
I can shot 5,000+ imagines on a single postage-stamp-sized Chip.
PLUS: Exchanging rechargeable batteries is much faster than loading & unloading a roll of film every 12 or 36 shots. etc.etc.
This Battery & Charger Systems WORKS fine.
Including these two batteries, along with and my original camera batteries,

I'm not going to convince anybody whether to buy this or not, but I will tell you what I went through before buying it, and what I've experienced after just a few days of ownership, and you can make your own decision.
I am no where near a professional photographer. I'm a designer who enjoys photography as a hobby.. Owned a D90 before the rx1, and was really looking for something more compact. The way I see it, photography is about shooting a LOT, and always having the camera with you no matter where you are is a KEY. This is what led me to consider the mirrorless cameras.
I was debating between the new x100s and the RX1. Played with both of them numerous times (actually borrowed my friend's x100 for a day), and ultimately felt that the RX1 was a better camera overall.
Now don't get me wrong, the x100 and the x100s are no means bad cameras. I was actually quite surprised by the build quality after trying them. And they're definitely great cameras for its size, very comparable to the quality of my D90. However, they just did feel like a big improvement over my 4 year old DSLR. Whereas when I tried the RX1 in the store numerous times, every single picture looked amazing, and the quality on every single one blew me away. It almost feels like you can't take a bad picture with this camera.
After been using it non stop for the past 3 days, what I said above still holds. The quality of the photos coming from this camera is just unbelievable. Of course, there are some downsides. As people mentioned, the battery life is terrible, so a backup battery is almost required. Although the LCD is great, the lack of view finder is kind of a bummer for the price. On top of it all, of course there's the 3grand price tag.
Despite all the flaws (or constraints, as i like to put it), being a User Experience designer, I always evaluated a product or service based on it's true value to the user. In this case, I would give the RX1 a 10/10. It's compact-ness allows me to take it anywhere I want, whenever i want it. Having photography as a hobby, I don't have the time to look for and do research on different lenses for different occasions. The 1 camera 1 lense constraint really solved that problem. I do a lot of portraits and sceneries, which the 35mm is perfect for. The build quality is superb, so nothing really to complain about there.
Again, for my need, I think I've really found the perfect camera. FYI, I bought the camera from Sony when they had a promotion that for 2799, it comes with battery charger, extra battery, screen protector, and a 2 year accidental damage warranty. Usually I don't buy warranties but hey, can't complain if its "free". On top of that, they had financing options up to 36 months, which really makes this camera more affordable.

Buyer beware. I was sent the WRONG camera- an RX1, not an RX1-R and the camera I did receives was faulty as the manual Mode Dial setting did not correspond to the LCD Mode. The whole thing was one click out.
A real shame as I loved the form of the camera and I already own other Sony models which are great. I would buy this again but not without seeing it in person and checking it over. Totally disappointed in the service and the quality of such an expensive product.

Thought I'd reviewed this already, but so far this has proven a very good product, charges quickly (love the way the light starts at red or orange depending on how low the charge, then yellow (almost there)then green when done. Price was very right particularly when one considers two spare batteries are including and they're decent batteries as well. Thanks Mike! Appreciate I don't have to charge batteries in camera anymore. Great product man!

I was all set to buy the A7 or A7r until I went to the Sony store. I found the loud and rough feeling shutters a real turn off, and the camera in general had a 'not quite ready for prime time' look about it. After much thought, and three trips to the Sony store, I decided on a used RX1. For $2,000 I bought a mint RX! with EVF and Sony lens hood.
The silent leaf shutter is the main reason for my delight with the RX1. The leaf shutter allows flash sync at all shutter speeds, so it's great for daylight fill flash . The nearly silent shutter makes this camera supper stealth and simply a joy to use. Of course the lens and image quality of the RX1 are well documented for being excellent. Yes, it's a fixed lens but I don't find the much of a problem, it's perfect for about 90% of the situations I'm in and the image quality is so good I can always do a bit of cropping should I need to get closer. The build quality is also better than the A7, it's quite a bit more compact and I like that I have the option to leave the EVF off.
Of course a firmware update would be nice, I'm sure the focus response could be improved and I would love to have time lapse function, but I am very pleased with my decision of choosing this very unique camera over the A7. I'm pretty sure the A7 will be replaced with a new model in a year or two but the RX1 will continue on as a very unique camera.

So the image quality is utterly outstanding. My NEX7 + Zeiss 24 1.8 can't touch it. And my A99 with the Rokinon 35mm 1.4 still geats beat by it, by a smidgen. HOWEVER!!!
I could write thousands of words on why I don't like this camera and why it went back after two days of using it.
Basically, this was going to be the answer to my dream camera, but Sony sacrificed so much to make it tiny that it just was unusable for me.
1. The battery life is an utter joke. My NEX 7 doesn't get too many shots as it is, but they decided to use the RX100 battery, which is not even have the size--despite it being a full frame camera. Forget measuring life in shots...you can't carry this around while on for more than 50 mins of use without it going low. I thought I had a bad battery, but I ordered a backup and nope--this thing burns through them like crazy.
2. The flash is a devolution in design. Anyone who has shot with an NEX7, 6, or Fuji X-E1 knows how AMAZING the tilt able pop-up flash is. You can use it to bounce flash in a room and get gorgeous light. They engineered the RX1 to pop up LOCKED FORWARD so you can only use head-on flash, which is just stupid.
3. #2 would not be such a problem, if I could use the hotshoe for a flash trigger...except...there is no EVF. So I need to use the hotshoe for an EVF. Oh, except that I need to put the grip on the hotshoe because the camera is so tiny that there is no way you can use the controls in manual mode if you have averaged sized hands and are trying to set the shutter speed quickly without moving it away from your face.
I could go on, but these are the biggies. Bottom line is that Sony made it too tiny. The NEX 7 is already small enough, and it has a great grip, controls, and room for an EVF AND hotshoe. This is a POINT AND SHOOT!!! Nothing more!!! If you buy it as a point and shoot you will love it (except for battery life).

I bought this bundle because for me it makes perfect sense, not least that you can still use your camera while charging a spare battery in this charger, something Sony kinda forgot ?, The price is nothing less than spectacular, a tenner for a higher capacity battery than the original and a charger, which also happens to charge the battery much quicker than charging it in camera.
I obviously have the Original Sony battery and a Hahnel battery as well (review for which is here on Amazon), I found that the Hahnel was slightly better than the Sony, despite being about a tenner cheaper, I'm pleased to say that I feel this DSTE battery is better again.
It's fully compatible with my Sony Hx60, is a third of the price of the Hahnel, which is

Best camera I own. Being mirrorless, this is a Completely silent camera. Great for taking candid shots of people. Wonderful for street photography. I may use this camera more than my A7r. And if you do end up buying this camera, get a wood grip... A big must... Functional and beautiful.

It can sit on your palm quite easily. However with the lens it's not suitable to go in a normal sized pocket. I used the leather case Sony LCJ RXB Soft Carry Case for RX1 Camera to transport this beautiful piece of photographic equipment.
QUALITY

The RX1R's photos are sharp whilst detailed. Full frame quality in a small package. Colours were vibrant and accurate.
SPEED
=====
I have to confess that this disappointed me a tiny bit. The focusing was quick but not super fast. I wanted super fast. I need super fast. What I got was simply quick. But there was no lag elsewhere. Quick, responsive and ready for action almost instantly.
QUALITY

The 24 megapixel sensor gives excellent results ranging from ISO 50-3200, a little 'noise' when the setting was at 6400 and 12800. Low light was not a problem and the photos taken at dusk or late at night were particularly good.

Holds charge better than my original RX1 battery! No joke.
RX1 is a battery hog and this was a life saver.
Absolutely recommend this battery.
Charger seem flaky and cheaply made to the max, but it does its job quite alright, so far anyhow.
No issues as of yet. It has been several months.

Favorite camera ever purchased. Longtime Canon SLR user, and I find myself using the RX1 more frequently due to the easy to cary form factor. IQ is about as good has can be had with a full frame sensor and 35mm prime lens from any manufacturer. Due to the compact size, battery life isn't great, but batteries are inexpensive and are easy enough to cary along with the camera.

I did not purchase this on Amazon, but loved it so much that I needed to mention it somewhere.
People have already commented on the image quality (Outstanding), construction (High quality), and the size (Small for what it's capable of) so I won't go into those. What I wanted to say is that this camera changed how I think about photography. Before this camera, I used a DSLR with a zoom lens for my travel photography. It was big and bulky, but very versatile. This camera is small (My back is thanking me), but because the lens is fixed at 35mm I have to think more about my composition. It's made my photography grow, and not just because it's an awesome piece of technology.
A few suggestions for anyone purchasing this. Buy lots of batteries, they're small and cheap. Buy a nice UV filter to protect that amazing piece of glass. Be prepared to turn your nose up at photos that come from lesser cameras - especially in low light.

The bag is perfect for my new Pentax camera as seen in the picture. It's very smart and a good quality and provides great protection when carrying the camera. Useful pockets too for memory cards etc. The velcro partition insert can be positioned wherever it is best needed. Very reasonable price for a great product.

I've been playing with this bad boy for a few days and I'm just blown away, no other way to put it: this camera is very special.
Yes, it is expensive but the quality of the pictures you get from a FF camera that almost fits in a jacket pocket is simply phenomenal (and I've used APS-C cams for years).
The 35mm Zeiss lens here is exceptional by itself but it is also very carefully matched with an exceptional full frame sensor and the current state of the art digital signal processing back end.
The result is a magic blend of analog precision and finesse with massive digital power in the palm of your hand with jaw dropping low light perf and shallow DOF, but w/o the DLSR armada.
I've read a lot of skeptical opinions from people who clearly miss the point so let's review them 1 by 1:
1- "no interchangeable lenses on a camera this expensive???"
The fixed lens is a good thing for me, after a few years using NEX cams, I've grown tired of dust cleaning the sensor and carrying heavy lenses. Don't kid yourself, it'll take years to even get close to that level of FF miniaturization and integration with interchangeable lenses.
Plus, 1 button press and I have instant macro (almost) or even high quality up-sampling to 50 or 70mm and since I'm shooting 24MP images, I have plenty of room for post cropping easily into 150mm territory.
Last but not least, I'm now always using sweep panoramas for wide landscape shots so the bottom line is this is the 1st cam that made me feel I can do w/o big bulky lenses, little to no compromise.
2- "no internal view finder on a camera this expensive???"
I agree it would've been better, however some people prefer OVF, others EVF and if you think an integrated hybrid approach like the X100 would've fitted in that body with a FF sensor and a 35mm lens, you're delusional.
So, I'm just waiting for a reasonably priced external EVF and in the meantime, I find that using DMF with focus peaking assist on the (gorgeous) back screen gives surprisingly good results, even in bright daylight.
3- "battery life is average and accessories are way over priced!"
yes but... if you quit whining and do a little searching, you'll find 2 batteries + charger for ~$20 (same as the RX100), lens hood and cap for ~$10 so for me it's really only about that EVF.
Last, here's the coolest feature IMO:
it has an almost silent, ***0 lag*** leaf shutter and once you get rid of that stupid "click" sound they've added by default, you'll be blessed with the amazing experience of taking a picture while holding you breath and focusing.
Difficult to describe but, the tactile feedback, the quiet mechanical precision and the immediate display of the shot all contribute to make shooting pictures magical again.
Final note: Amazon did a great job and assigned a "concierge" to personally make sure the delivery was on time for the holiday.
Overall great purchasing experience.

Bought this case on the strength of review saying it was a perfect fit for a Nikon S9700. Rubbish - it doesn't fit , not even snugly, and the seller is not interested in a refund because the description doesn't specify that model! Beware reviews!! Having said all that, if only it had fitted my camera the case would have been perfect!

I've read all the reviews, and my experience was very similar.
Pros:
• Excellent image quality. I feel confident shooting in low light, without using the flash.
• Great metal build. It's not heavy, but it feels sturdy in your hands.
• Ninja quiet. I can shoot in a library and no one would hear the camera.
Cons:
• Autofocus is slow, especially in low light. This is not an action camera.
• Writing RAW files to the SD card is a little slow. I am using a PNY 64GB SDXC UHS-1 90MB/sec card. Basically, after taking a picture, you have to wait 1.5 seconds before you can review it. I know it sounds nit-picky, but I have a habit of immediately pressing the Review button after taking a shot.
• Explaining to my wife why I spent thousands of dollars on a camera.

This is a necessary accessory for the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX-100 series cameras. The photo is misleading and gave me the impression is was a heavier duty screen protector that snapped onto the camera. Instead this is a flat piece of plastic with a black border that matches the screen on the camera. This black border has a self stick adhesive that allows you to attach it to the camera. Note that the border is wider on one side than it is on the other. That is because the screen border on the camera is wider on one side than the other. So be sure to be alert to this when installing it on the screen of your camera and orient the screen protector accordingly. I suggest thoroughly cleaning the screen of the camera prior to installation of this screen protector. I did not give it 5 stars because of the false expectations. I also felt the screen protector could have been heavier duty, though this one works great. I would highly recommend this screen protector for your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX-100 series camera.

There is nothing like it out there in full frame. I have not used a Leica, but they cost much more and I am happy with the superb images I can get.

This camera doesn't replace a DSLR. The contrast detect AF is primitive compared to most modern DSLRs, it doesnt have weather sealing for use in harsh environments like pro DSLRS, and you obviously don't have the flexibility of lens interchangeability. You won't be able to track fast moving subjects like kids or pets as effectively as a DSLR. You also can't shoot birds, wildlife, or sporting events as effectively due to lack of telephoto even in digital crop mode. You can't manual focus as effectively mostly because of the lack of a built-in viewfinder. Blah, blah, blah. So it all seems very limited on paper... but ironically, I've found it to be more useful than any DSLR or camera I've ever owned, period. And that is the amazing thing about this camera: it just takes beautiful images and allows you to enjoy the art of photography, with the loveable simplicity and ease of a point-and-shoot, while still retaining the classical manual controls (like aperture and focus rings in the lens barrel) reminiscent of a rangefinder.

And I mean that as a complement. By creating such a niche photographic tool, Sony has also created what I think will be a classic. Legendary to some, perhaps. The RX1 is truly something that we have not seen before and while many will balk at the lack of viewfinder, an articulating display, and lens interchangeability, Sony's willingness to go against the grain has actually delivered everything that was promised on paper. This is a "point and shoot" that produces images that truly rivals my D800 with a 35mm f/1.4 Nikkor or any similarly excellent Nikon glass I mount on it. In some cases it's better. It makes me want to sell my Leica M9 and my small collection of Leica glass so I can use the funds to buy a car. The RX1 is that good.
I will dispense with all the exhaustive technical details because I'm sure that by now you've already seen countless reviews with pixel peeping examples. Instead, I will say this: if you're a photography enthusiast that prefers the raw simplicity of a rangefinder and have the willingness to allow a simplified platform improve your photographic and composition skills, this is your camera. The added benefit is than it will take images that will match or surpass any DSLR available today, including high ISO. It is cutting edge sensor technology without much fluff. A purist's digital camera if you want to call it that. A point and shoot that happens to house one of the most advanced full frame sensors ever placed in a consumer camera. As a Nikon/Leica shooter that has relied on optical viewfinders for years, I've found the lack of a viewfinder a non-issue. The RX1 is simply a joy to shoot with. I love it.

This is an enthusiastic review. This camera is fabulous. I bought it to replace my point and shoot (that I had to give to my daughter, to take picture of a new granddaughter). Good fortune all around. The build of this camera is somehow both solid as a rock and jewel like. I usually shoot with large DSLR. But in a recent urban experience it was not going to be possible to lug a D4 and tripod around. This fits in a jacket pocket. It is unobtrusive. The perfect stealth camera. Nobody suspects you are a pro. (Ignore that straight line please). The ergonomics took very little to get used to. The image quality is sensational. It is equal to my D3X. I have printed 16x20 with it and no one can tell which camera I shot with. I'm sure it will hold to 20x30. Being able to directly manipulate aperture and exposure compensation without going to a menu beats any point and shoot I've tried.
Drawbacks: Well, it is a fixed lens camera. But I knew that when I bought it. It was still easier to shoot than my previous zoom compact camera.
It is bigger than a shirt pocket point and shoot. It won't fit in a shirt pocket. So there. Fits in a sport coat pocket very well.
I'm not used to the lack of viewfinder. It can be hard to compose in bright sunlight. I'm so enthused by this little jewel that I have ordered the viewfinder.
No battery charger. You plug the camera into a wall adaptor USB port to charge it. Maybe that is an advantage but it scares me to plug a camera into the wall. I'm using the optional out of body charger.
Unknown: I don't know the real life battery life yet. I've shoot 163 flash photos in sequence with no difficulty but not close to running out the battery.
Conclusion: Don't leave home without it. This item will always be in my pocket.

I ordered this item on 23 April, it never arrived and they were slow to respond to my emails. They were unable to provide the goods within the time frame I needed and have arranged for a full refund. However, I am extremely disappointed about this and now have to look elsewhere which is extremely inconvenient just before I travel! This is not the service usually provided through Amazon or what I expect when purchasing through Amazon and feel that they should look again at this retailer if they are unable to provide the goods ordered in a timely manner, especially when paying for delivery, you expect goods to be delivered on time. It has allegedly got lost in the post, a guaranteed next day delivery of a replacement would have solved this issue but they obviously are unable to do this hence the refund, did they have the goods in the first place I wonder !!! I am now out of pocket until they process the refund and have to purchase a replacement, really unacceptable. I would not recommend this retailer and would not purchase from them again, watch out! I have made many purchases through Amazon and this is the first time a retailer has failed to deliver, bad show Navitech

I'm using this charger and battery combo with the Sony DSC-RX100M II Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera 20.2MP, Black, which is Sony's top of the "point & shoot" camera. Like most if not all cameras in this category, the camera uses a tiny tiny battery which barely holds any power. Definitely no good for all day shooting on vacation. In addition, the camera doesn't ship with a charger, compounding the small battery. Even if I bought another battery, I would have to charge one battery, swap it out, and charge thee other. There's no way to use the camera and charge a back up battery at the same time.
This charger and battery combo fixes that. The supplied charger charges batteries relatively quickly, and the two extra batteries ensure plenty of power.
The kit comes with
- Charger (a generic one which is capable of charing multiple batteries with different holders)
- NP-BX1 adapter plate for the charger
- 2 generic batteries
- European plug adapter
- 12V car adapter for charging on the go
The kit also comes with some other goodies:
- A little microfiber cloth branded with the seller's logo
- A pack of 3 screen protectors, good for 5" screens
For the price, these are excellent. However, the kit does have some problems:
The batteries claim they are 2100mAh, while the genuine Sony ones are rated at 1240mAh. This rating seems a little generous, if not outright deceptive. The generic batteries here weigh 21.7g, while the genuine Sony weighs 24.5g.
The charger also overcharges the batteries. Lithium ion batteries are much less robust than other batteries types and are very sensitive to overcharging. The charge level of these batteries can be measured directly by the voltage of the battery, which shouldn't exceed 4.2 volts. In camera, the RX100 charged the Sony battery to 4.182V. This charger took the generic batteries slightly over at 4.247 and 4.254 volts, which is a little high for my liking, thus the 1 star deduction.
Overall, I find this product to be a great value and well worth it.
