Amazingly sharp wide-open with almost no chromatic aberration - way less than my 85L. It also has a gorgeous bokeh and hardly any diffraction stopped all the way down. It even comes with a nice good and case.

Absolutely AWESOME lens. I do a lot of wedding photography and this is perfect to editorial portraits and landscape. Just brilliant and can not recommend this lens highly enough.

It was very sharp only if auto-focus works in the right way. The copy I got had ramdomly focusing issue so I had to return and order another one. Will update when the new lens arrives and tested.

Simply beautiful images at F1.4 although I might recommend stopping down a peg or two as getting things pin sharp can take some practice wide open.

Ideal lens but does not meet criteria for Sigma UK Extended 3 year warranty as its not an official UK import, the lens has not been imported by Sigma Imaging (UK) Ltd and therefore cannot offer this extended warranty.

Needs focus micro adjustments. One should pay attention to occasional flares that renders nasty purple spots. Overall the lens produces good image quality, much better than any zoom lens I have seen. The build quality is on par with the much more expensive Canon L lenses.

Ya pasada una semana desde su compre y habiéndola utilizado en varias ocasiones solo puedo opinar bien sobre ella.
Un enfoque rápido, una nitidez tremenda y en mi caso no me ha hecho falta utilizar el Dock.
No he probado la 1.2 de canon pero por lo leído y visto en Youtube diría que en cuanto a relación calidad/precio, esta lente hace que no tengas que gastarte ese dinero.
La aconsejo? al 100% y en mi caso, habiendo tenido malas experiencias con compras de segunda mano, adquirí esta nueva porque un objetivo así, siempre que trabajes con dslr va a servirte de por vida y sino, el mercado de segunda mano busca constantemente este tipo de objetivos.
Conclusión: un 10

Simply Brilliant product by Sigma, one of the sharpest lens i have. truly it is a 'L' quality lens. razor sharp, cheaper, and i love it, it never comes out of my 7D ever since. Thanks amazon for wonderful delivery service.

Pro: versatile, molto nitido al centro, contrasto e colori eccellenti, qualità di costruzione elevata, firmware aggiornabile con il dock USB, compatibilità con MC-11
Contro: peso, stabilizzazione non troppo efficace, anelli di messa a fuoco e zoom invertiti, t/3.0, nitidezza ai lati
Utilizzata su Sony A7II sforna ottime fotografie, a f/2.8 l'immagine al centro è molto nitida ma sugli angoli è evidente una perdita di qualità che sparisce solo a f/5.6.
Questa caratteristica rende difficile l'utilizzo a 24mm a massima apertura e focus infinito, per chi fa primi piani l'apertura f/2.8 è eccellente ma per chi fa paesaggistica noterà sicuramente una sbavatura molto marcata sui lati che "sfumano" la scena ripresa.
La vignettatura è visibile solo a 24mm ma sparisce già chiudendo di 1 stop, sulle altre focali l'obiettivo si comporta bene sia in vignettatura che in nitidezza.
Non sono molto soddisfatto della stabilizzazione che sembra attenuare solo le micro vibrazioni e nelle riprese video è palese l'inutilità di questo sistema.
La costruzione è da carrarmato: pesante, con parapolvere sulla baionetta, nessuno scricchiolio o gioco sui meccanismi.
Lo zoom è invertito rispetto gli obiettivi classici quindi può spiazzare le prime volte, l'anello di messa a fuoco a frizione è molto buono e con il dock USB si può regolare la sensibilità (nonché correggere eventuali back/front focus).
Il diametro da 82mm frontale rende difficile la reperibilità di filtri che comunque rimangono costosi, il paraluce non è ingombrante e l'innesto è molto ben fatto.
Secondo me Sigma ha abbassato il suo standard qualitativo con questo obiettivo che non è a livello della serie Art e un passo sotto ad altri competitor come Tamron che con meno peso e costi inferiori riescono a fare molto meglio.
Un plauso a Sigma per aver dato la possibilità di convertire l'innesto successivamente all'acquisto e di utilizzarlo con l'adattatore Sigma MC-11 per mirrorless Sony mantenendo tutte le funzionalità (con tutti i pro e contro).

Ich musste leider auf das 24-70 USM II von Canon ausweichen, da der Fokusring bei dem Sigma so bescheiden sitzt, das man nicht gescheit Schärfe ziehen kann. Und zudem ist es sehr schwer...

Première expérience avec Sigma complètement ratée, j'ai fini par retourner l'objectif. Je l'avais acheté pour mon nouveau boîtier Canon 90D mais le mariage des deux n'a pas marché. Gros soucis de Back et Front Focus! Les images étaient inexploitables! Même prises en focus manuel, les photos étaient floues. Les microréglages n'ont rien changé non plus. Il aurait fallu l'envoyer au SAV de Sigma pour un calibrage à l'aide du dock USB. J'estime que pour le prix c'est abusé, car des SAV on n'en trouve pas partout! C'est long, compliqué et agaçant! Et le pire c'est que cela ne garantit pas de résultats parfaits après puisque c'est un trans-standard et le piqué ne sera pas idéal à toutes les focales.
J'avais également beaucoup de grain sur mes images alors que les ISO des tests réalisés ne dépassaient pas 250.
Et pour conclure, j'ai trouvé cet objectif excessivement lourd. Au bout de qqs heures de shooting, le poignet n'en pouvait plus.

Lens is amazing but If your thinking of getting this lens I’d recommend buying it from an actual retailer like Henry’s. this was shipped to be in a used box not very well padded and the lens hood doesn’t fit properly. Spend the extra $100 and get it from an actual store.

Passant au plein format (6D mk II), je cherchais un objectif très lumineux, passe partout pour du paysage et, éventuellement, du portrait. Ce 24-70 mm f/2.8 est parfait. Il vient en complément du 70-200 mm f/2.8 monté en permanence sur un second boîtier (un 7D mk II). Certes, le tarif est quelque peu élevé, mais il faut savoir ce que l'on veut...

Amazing quality, pictures are clean and sharp with perfect colour capture. It is my go to lens for any event I have used the Canon L series 24-70 mm and this lens is just as good for a fraction of the cost of the Canon lens.

Acheté pour etre utilisé avec une blackmagic 4K et un metabone, tout fonctionne nikel,
Le piquet est dingue, la lumière belle, il n'y a pas grand chose de plus à ajouter, la serie ART de Sigma est parfaite pour des semi pro qui ont un peu de de budget et veulent du bon materiel (jai aussi le 35 et le 85 fixes qui sont aussi parfaits en complément)

I bought a Sigma 24-70 f2.8 (Generation III) in 2013, as my main travelling lens, I have taken more than 50000 pictures in the last 5 years and I’m very happy to have it. I recently purchased this 24-70 f2.8 Art, it’s a bit heavier, picture is sharper, image stababilizer is an awesome feature for taking videos.
