Pros: Very comfortable to wear for hours. The nicely padded ear pieces encompass my ears so the cushions rest on my head and do not press on the ears. Almost sound deadening. Very well made which is a nice thing considering the junk on the markets today. The majority of the unit is black plastic that does not look or feel cheap. The ear pieces connect to the head support by a universal type joint which allows them to fold flat. The mic is also very nice and can pick up background noise. I use them for gaming mostly and noticed a big difference when using the in game mic test. Much cleaner sound.Cons: None so far. I've had them for 2 months and dropped them my first day but so far so good.Conclusion: I was leary about spending the money. This will be my 3rd mic and speaker combo in the last few years. The previous purchases were in the $20-$40 range but those can not even compare to these in quality, comfort and function. I am very glad I purchased them.

The audio quality on this headset is top notch, especially for 1/2 the price of comparable Logitech products. The wiring is very delicate, so be careful not to accidentally trip over or pull on the cord. My first one got destroyed when I tripped on it and ripped the cord out. I had to order a 2nd one, and now I am very careful where I put the cord.

I have to admit being more than a little wary of buying such an expensive headset, but I'd been told time and time again that Sennheiser is the way to go for sound quality. After reading countless reviews, both here and elsewhere, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge.The box itself was extraneously large and the packaging obtuse and unnecessary. It's a waste of resources in my opinion, and probably an extra twenty to 40 dollars on to the cost as well. Still, once I had them out of the box and realized just how huge the headset was, I was even more wary. As a female gamer my head is smaller than the average PC gaming headset will comfortably fit. I was really worried I'd be in for some serious ear-aches and neck strain, but they felt so light in hand that I gave them a go anyway.(Edit on 10.11.09: I've had to replace the headset; the weight is giving me significant neck strain if I wear it for longer than two or so hours at a time. A real shame; the quality otherwise is amazing. I docked a "star" in my review because of the painful weight.)They come with no drivers to install, which is a definite plus, and as soon as I was on Vent my husband and friends all made note of the quality of my voice. They certainly sounded much clearer as well, and so I was already feeling better about my purchase. As soon as I launched WoW, though, I was immediately blown away. I was hearing music and effect in the login screen that I'd _never_ heard before on my previous cheap USB headset, and I couldn't help but sit there, stunned, and listen.Actually playing with the headset on is going to take some getting used to -- it does hurt my ears, as the sides of my head are engulfed by the earpieces -- but I certainly can't hear anything around me, either!The amazing quality continued when I hopped to Left4Dead, and even on to Team Fortress 2 and other games I regularly play. This is definitely an amazing headset, but my rating will remain at 4 of 5 until a smaller choice is made available for those of us who have smaller noggins. I'll be buying a portable headphone set for listening to music on the go as well, and they'll definitely be from Sennheiser.

I bought these as a gift, but I've used them also. They are amazing sound quality and comfort. Makes it hard to hear anything except the sounds that are coming through the headphones :)

Very comfortable, though your ears can get a bit warm from being completely closed off to outside air. Sound is good, if a bit weak. Based on other reviews, it's probably because I'm using onboard sound and not a separate card. Microphone is good and construction is very sturdy. I expect this to last me a couple of years.

I purchased this headset to use with my SKYPE. In addition, I use it for just about anything on my computer so as not to disturb my wife while she's watching TV or talking on our land line. These are VERY comfortable. The should quality is good. It also has a thumbwheel for adjusting the volume.The only issues that I have is that there is 2 connectors. One for the mike and one for the headphone. Although they have held up very well for the time that I've had it, I suspect that it won't be too long before I'll have to repair them. Not a real problems as it's easy to fix. The other issue is the pick-up for the mike. Unless I have the mike positioned precisely, the person on the other end has a difficult time hearing me. That is fixed by me speaking a little louder.Overall, I would recommend them. In fact, if they fail completely, I'll probably purchase an identical set as a replacement.

I purchased the PC 350 headset to replace another Sennheiser headset that I had used for ~8 years, and I have been very happy with the replacement.Usage:Gaming, movies/videos, music.Sound Quality:The sound quality is good and the noise cancellation makes for a very immersive movie watching or game playing experience.Comfort:The headset sits very comfortably even after 2-3 hours of use (though it leaves some pretty serious headphone hair afterwords :) ).Microphone:Though I have not personally heard what it sounds like, I have received no complaints about the mic (which I use pretty regularly); so the mic quality seems good too.I would definitely recommend this product, as long as you can get past the moderately high price tag. Overall, if you are looking for a high quality headset, you would be hard pressed to find one better than this.

This gaming headset is awesome!!!!! The sound quality is excellent. This gaming headset is very comfortable and very light. I have been playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and the experience is wonderful. I have no negative comments for this product. If you have a PC or gaming Laptop this headset is a must!!!!

Got it for sixty-five bucks used.Good headset, doesn't seal perfectly around my ears. Excellent mic over what I've been using. Excellent for gaming.Audio quality is less than perfect, although, that's the worst I can say.Most comfortable headset I've worn. No complaints there.Great quality and feel.

I've had Sennheisser headsets for a few years now, they never disappoint. They might be a little elevated in price, but they are well worth the money. I wouldn't buy any other brand of headsets. They are perfect for gaming.

I received my headset yesterday, and simply cannot stop using it. I bought it to replace my Sennheiser HD 555's on my gaming PC, and now I may not miss my old cans. They fit nice and snug on my big head, and the sound quality can't be beat for the price.There really is no comparison to other gaming headsets; Sennheiser basically took one of their audiophile sets and added a mic. Beyerdynamic did the same with their MMX 300, but then I wouldn't recommend the PC 350 to anyone willing to drop $400 on a headset anyway.Bearing that in mind, I thought it was a little bit strange that Sennheiser neglected to include a 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter. Most audiophile headsets are designed to be hooked up to amplifiers in order to get the full sound experience, and aside from the fact that it doesn't have an adapter, the PC 350 is no exception.I normally plug my headphones into an A/V receiver that connects via optical from my PC, but it would appear that Sennheiser designed the plugs as default 3.5mm so as to cater to those who LAN often and can't afford to carry heavy amplifiers back and forth, and so I decided to give it a try without an amp.As expected, plugging directly into my motherboard sound card via the 3.5mm plug yielded terrible results, with a lot of signal noise between the mic and the headphones. I found a spare adapter and plugged into my A/V receiver, then ran an extension cable to the mic port on the back of my computer. No problems so far with that configuration.Pros:Sennheiser audiophile-grade sound qualityMic is crisp and clearSound isolation helps block out my noisy friends at LAN partiesPrice ($150 versus the MSRP of $250)Cons:Designed for people with big headsNeeds an amp to experience the true sound quality

I purchased this after my wife complained about my Edge Acoustics gx 400. She believes in ear head phones will hurt my hearing. The sound quality is great and the Impedeance issues should be minimal as long as you don't plug these into your iPod. The power coming from your computer should be enough to power these headphones. The sound Quality is good and the comfort is what I would expect from such a large headset. They are not as comfrotable for me as the GX 400s but a happy wife more then makes up for that.I normally take a 10 min break every hour so I can not speak into extended gaming sessions on these head phones but I have no issues with wearing these for in 50 min intervals. If you have glasses, I would not suggest these as the band tends to put additional pressure on your forhead.My only issue with the sound of the headphones is the volume control from the headphones itself. Trying to turn down the volume completely still allows sound to come throuhg. Having to play with computer volume controls along with the attached volume is a little bit of a bother.I would suggest these headphones now they are fianlly under sub $100.

Setup was effortless (I plugged it in and it worked). I use it with Skype and Webex and it works perfect. The padding on the ears is not as comfy as my Sennheiser HD 555's but I am not naive enough to expect that as these were less expensive. I wouldn't plan on wearing them for several hours but that's just based on my ears and head.

I've used a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's as my headphones for a while now, and finally upgraded to the PC 350's to get a microphone.Comparing these two pairs of spectacular headphones will just be nitpicking, but here it goes: The HD 280 Pro's fit more snugly, and isolate you from outside noise a little better. They may perhaps be more comfortable as a result of the snugger fit, but that may vary from person to person. I also think the HD 280 Pro's have a little more visual appeal, as they have a cleaner design.The microphone on the PC 350's is perfectly positioned and sounds great. It's well designed, and rotates up out of the way so I can forget about it when I want to.I may never buy another pair of headphones / headset after owning the PC 350's.

Very good. The sound quality is much better quality then my g35. The build quality on the headset appears to be very good and the headset is very lightweight. The packaging was hard to open.

This is my second pair of Sennheiser head phones. I bought these because I liked the first pair. The first pair were not 100 % covering the ears. This pair does. I like the way it kills external sound. It has been a long time since I've used this kind of head set so it was a little strange at first. But I do like these better now that I've had them for a few weeks. We bought them to use with Skype mainly. But I also like listening to Itunes or other music venues. I find myself working on the computer often with the head set on despite not using them for anything but quiet. I also like how the head set collapses when sitting on the desk. Not a big thing but it does make it easy to slide them on. The ear pieces turn 90 degrees while laying on the desk so the whole headset becomes pretty flat compared to my old ones which were fixed. I also like that the cable is much heavier than the first pair I owned. I would recommend this product to anyone for use with gaming, enjoying music or telecommunications.

My existing headset looks just like a Plantronics audio 650 USB, but I don't have the USB dongle for it. I have used it with Skype and to narrate online tutorial videos. When I purchased Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10, I wanted to increase my accuracy so I purchased this noise-canceling Sennheiser microphone.Out-of-the-box looked and felt great. The EQ is a bit odd, like other Sennheiser headsets I've owned in the past; I like it though, because it makes rock music sound great.Unlike my Plantronics headset, the ear muffs are foam and let my ears "breathe" a little, which keeps them from getting too hot. It is also very comfortable even though I wear it for hours at a time.The microphone is a completely different story. My voice sounds tinny and the microphone picks up WAY more background noise. It doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference with Dragon, but it is definitely worse for Skype, and there's no way I can use it to narrate videos.I like the Sennheiser sound, but this headset is not at all acceptable as a noise-canceling mic. I am disappointed because I basically wasted my money. Considering that the Sennheiser mic costs about 50% more than my Plantronics, I'm a little disgusted at the outcome.

I wore my brand new PC151 headset almost eight hours the first day I got them. I thought they might hurt my ears a lot because I wear glasses, but they didn't. I felt a little pressure after eight hours, but that's all; no outright pain like I have felt with other headsets. Admittedly, I have a smaller head than most men, but like I said, other headsets have caused me pain and this set did not.I'm no audiophile, but for me, the sound is very good. I thought the bass might suffer, but it doesn't. Also, the fact that it's not "open" (like the PC161), the sound doesn't bother my co-workers in the cube farm when I crank the volume.A good purchase in my opinion.

Mine broke after about 6 months. The microphone broke off. The plastic feels cheap and it just doesn't feel like a $100+ pair of headphones. The sound is decent, but nothing great in my opinion. Ive had $20 Walmart headphones that sounded better to me. I like a lot of bass. When I play video games, I want explosions to rumble. You wont get much depth from these things

for just $30 more than i paid for my old steelseries this is a steal. The 3D sound is great and the mic is much better. these are definitely a sturdy set.

I have tried several headphones for gaming and these are by far the best I have used. The sound quality is clear and crisp. The headphones are comfortable even when worn for hours where most start to hurt your ears over time. The microphone is positioned close enough to your mouth to be heard but far enough away so there is no distortions in the sound of your speach. If you are looking for a great pair of gaming headhones I would recommend these as about the best out there.

We've been using Sennheiser sets for years, but I think they have been victims of their own success. I wanted a lightweight headset for travel. This headset feels and looks cheaply made, more along the lines of a $15 store-brand headset than a $50 one, and the mic was dead on arrival. (Tested on multiple machines, OS's and applications; and no, there is no 'mute' button we were overlooking--the mic was dead.) While I realize that my getting a dead mic doesn't mean you will get a dead mic, I think this is an indication that Sennheiser may just not be the brand to go with right now, as manufacturing quality is obviously slipping and they are riding on their past rep. It happens. I'd recommend skipping this one and going with something by Logitech or Razer.
