For the price, this is a really great headset. The sound quality is great.The only complaint I have is that after wearing these with glasses for a few hours, they can start to hurt my ears. Without glasses, they are comfortable, and the sound quality is well worth it for the price.

These headphones will not disappoint! By far the best sounding gaming headphones ive heard. I have the astro a40s and there is no comparison here. These are very light and comfortable. I have worn them for call of duty all nighters for over 6-7 hours with no problem whatsoever. If you are looking for sound isolation, you may want to pass these by. Alot of sound does escape out. I can have a conversation with my wife while using these at lower volumes. I actually prefer this kind myself and dont care for sound isolating headphones, especially for gaming because they get too hot and uncomfortable and generally have more messy sounding bass. These dont have TOO MUCH bass, but it is there and sounds good and not distorted. (The bass in these is alot better than in the a40s) I will say I use an astro mixamp in conjunction with these for gaming on the PS3 and it is a great little setup. My friends tell me I sound really clear when using the mic. I listen to music with them also and they sound great for music as well. When I listen to music I do not use the amp and they sound great on my sony vaio laptop without an amp. They are made of mainly plastic but dont have a cheap feel. They are built very well and look to be a set of headphones that will last a long time. I do have a gripe. for what these cost, they should include a case. But if you want a quality piece, you'll have to overlook that.

I have to say, this headphone's sound quality surpassed my expectations.I use it mainly for music and video calls and the quality is crisp clear.The mic works perfectly to, it hardly picks up background noises which is a plus.Only downside is that it doesn't fit my head perfectly, but i guess it's a matter of time before i get used to it.

First off, the shipping was exactly on schedule. The item came in a very impressive, hard to open, box. Upon first glance at this bad boy, I was really astounded by the professional look, feel and construction. I immediately plugged it in and went online to Call of Duty 5. Not wanting to play and just check out the sound, I went in spectator mode. As soon as the map loaded, I thought my eardrums were going to burst, as a grenade just went off nearby. Coupling this monster to the Auzentech X-Fi-Forte 7.1 and turning on the 3-d surround sound mode was like I was really there. The 3-D positioning is absolutely perfect and realistically clear. Whoever complained about the lacking bass was very wrong. Playing with the equalizer can really make the bass boom in your ears. The highs are crisp and clear. I use Ventrillo and was told I never sounded better. Microphone is very sensitive, you can practically whisper in it and the sound activation detects. Music wise, I went to Windows Media Center for a quick sound demo. Excellent. However, I did have to crank down on the higher frequencies on my equalizer. They were set very high for my cheaper headset. No distortion at loud volumes. The earcups will, after a while make your ears hot-not sweaty. The ambient noise is practically nill with these on as they cover your whole ear, and I have a very large head. The mike boom is expandable and firmly holds whatever position you put it in. I found the best position to be a little higher than your mouth. These are truly a beautiful, expensive looking and sounding headsets. The frquency response is above and beyond the norm 20-20, not usually found on other sets. While in game play, I keep taking them off thinking someone in the house is trying to talk to me but found that they were sounds I never heard before-people talking in the background. It really isn't overpriced for what you get. Going to the Sennheiser website I found a merchant (in Germany) that was selling these for over $500!!! When they first came out. If you want to hear ALL the EAX sounds in your game, as clear as clear can be with precise positioning, do youself a favor and get these.Only complaint is ears do get hot after a while, but removing for a minute corrects this. They are comfortable. The volume control does not shut the sound off completely, just lowers it to a certain level less than your main volume setting. Very long cord should allow you to get off your chair and walk a few feet away for whatever you might want.

I got these for Christmas (after I had them on my wish list) and they are 3rd set I have owned over the years of gaming headsets and these are by far the best. First and foremost to any gamer for me is comfort. The design is a little unsual when you first look up close instead of the classic U shape of most headphones these are more of a flat bottom U. At first, I wasn't sure of the approach but when you put them on you realize the difference in ergonomics that shape makes. The shape distributes the weight much more evenly and solves the tradeoff I have seen in other headphones between holding next to you ears verse squeezing your brain like vise. These are lite-weight and comfortable and can be worn for hours of gaming with no discomfort. Also I would like to add the ear cups are of superior quality. I had an old pair of logitech and the ear cups foam squished quickly to be almost no help and quickly started falling apart. These blow those away. Finally, second after comfort is the sound of both the mic on Vent and of course sound coming in from the earphones. Both are significantly better than previous headset I have owned.

this is a non-usb boom mic, headset. works fine, comparable to the USB Logitech I was using before. light and comfortable for my rather big head. use this for Dragonspeak, mostly. no issues, rather simple but solid construction. good value.

This is one of the few items I don't regret purchasing one bit. The padding is very plush and soft. The microphone is noise cancelling and fantastic quality. I like using this headset for music more than my high end speakers. The bass is great for a headset, too. I also love the mute function when I push the microphone up. The sound is flawless (unless you're a hardcore audiophile) and the open air feature allows me to hear anything that is going on around me as if I'm not wearing the headset at all. There's no vacuum seal around your ears like with the closed air leather headsets so your ears don't burn up and sweat. I can wear this headset for many hours and still be perfectly comfortable. Finally, the headset is made from very hard plastic and mesh/metal, so you would have to do something really stupid to break these things! I recommend these headphones to all my friends. Once again, worth every penny.

I consider myself a fairly decent judge of audio headphones/headsets and I must say for $30 this headset is beyond what I expected. I really expected them to be flat and be raspy. To my surprise they sound full and slightly bass heavy. They are extremely light and fit perfect on my ears and stay comfortable for 6+ hours (the longest I've used them so far in one sitting.) The microphone sounds clear and without distortion. I've gotten numerous compliments on how clear my voice sounds from switching from my old Zalman headset to this one. The only issue I have and the reason I didn't give them a 5 is because they feel extremely light and I question how durable they will be.Edit: March 19th 2011 I'm on my second pair of these headsets and they have held up extremely well to normal wear and tear. I use them about 8-10 hours a day now and I can throw them around and they still sound perfect. The reason I said normal wear and tear is because my first pair I had to throw away due to the headband being stretched out. I'd fall asleep with the headset on. Doing this for 5 months caused the headband to stretch out to the point where it won't stay on my head. If it wasn't for me sleeping with the headset on I would expect these to last 2-3 years before needing replacement.Edit: September 18, 2012 I had some Sennheiser px200 pads lying around and I wanted to see if they would fit. After 20 minutes of pure frustration and thinking the pads would rip as I put them on I finally got them to fit. The pads change the sound slightly. It lessens the bass a little and makes people's voices sound more life-like. The pads seem to stay cool and feel good against my ears. This is kind of expensive since the pads cost $15-$20 and the headset is only $30-35. I uploaded a picture of this if anyone wants to try this pad-exchange.

Yes I know, I asked myself the same question, $120.00, and my finger hovered over the purchase button for many minuets debating if i should spend this kind of money. Let me assure you this head set is worth it. I have been on a quest for the perfect headset for years. I am embarrassed by the number of times I have returned headsets to Best Buy, not to mention the money I have spent on others I have purchased only to find out too late that I hated them. Although I will say friends and family were more than happy to take my cast offs. I have bought or returned just about every headset from the cheap ones to the Logitech surround sound. All I wanted was a solid set that sounded better than average, was solidly constructed (how many of you have ruined a pair by running over the cord with your desk chair?) and most importantly comfortable.I am not an audiophile so I can't speak to all the subtleties of sound reproduction, but these sound great with a solid bass and clear high tones. They are not some monstrosity of gamer gear with all kinds on unnecessary bells and lights. Why do designers think gamers want headgear that even a pilot wouldn't put over his/her head? These seem to gently hug my ears with the luxurious pads. My ear lobes are not scraping against the inside. They do cause a bit of sweating but not too much. The over the head pad at first seemed like it was going to cause problems but after a few wearings seemed to break in nicely. These can be worn for hours with out discomfort. You barely know they are there.The design is stylish. Construction seems solid, although i still worry about the cord. It would be nice if there was perhaps some other layer of protection to prevent damage to cord. It would have been nice to have a cord that was a bit longer.The microphone is excellent and pics up your voice well even when you are trying to whisper as well as keeping out unwanted noise. I have finally found a headset i can be happy with for a long time.

I use these headphones for making skype to phone and mobile calls on my iMac and the sound quality is better then my regular phone. The built in mic on my iMac was simply to distant when making these types of calls and this resolved the issue. They are quite comfortable too and have great sound quality.

I didn't expect much for about $25, and received a headset with featherweight construction and a microphone that was DOA. I wish the product was even half as well constructed as its packaging.Every once in a while, I take a chance on a "bargain" device with peachy online reviews, and this is usually what happens. My foolishness, and I take full responsibility.Quality isn't cheap, but neither is my time. Dohhh...

Part of my work requires me to do video-production with voiceover; and these have been my go-to headphones for about 2 years now. This is the third one I own - I managed to break the other two over time by accidentally tugging on the cord too hard, but they usually last for about 9 months - 1 year with amazing headphone and microphone quality. Never buying headphones from another company again!

the bass on these headphones is shockingly awful. i did a search on the web to see if there was anything i could do to increase the bass level.i ended up stumbling upon a thread on the headfi forums that addressed the very issue. followed the instructions exactly and was meticulously careful.the bass improved a little bit, but was still on the low end. but all that doesn't even matter because these broke after a few months use- sound stoppedcoming in the right ear.the only good thing about the headset is the quality mic and i could wear these for hours without feeling uncomfortable.i bought yamaha cm500s to replace, they are cheaper and actually sound much better too!

Good packaging, nice look, excellent sound quality ( maybe a bit expensive to get tho), everything is good except one thing I simply couldn't bear. It is WAY TOO TIGHT. Especially because I am wearing glasses this tightness caused me a headache. So after one hour of use, this fancy headset was back to its original package and now I've got my refund. I purchased PC500 instead, which is much more comfortable.

Hi yes We do like this headset it is light weight and both sides adjust well. Only wish ear was a little bigger and the volume adjust was a little tighter (not so loose or east to move) Had trouble playing games before we got the new headset, games play well now. Thanks

I have owned this headset for over a year now and I am thoroughly impressed. I can wear them all day and not even know they're on my head. They have just the right amount of holding pressure for me. Sound quality is very good. They do not have a flat response. They seem to have a bit of a boost around the 2k range, probably for voice intelligibility. The bass response is very good but not room shaking. Overall they have a well balanced sound and excellent directionality that is perfect for gaming. My AKG K240s are better for music and more accurate (though lacking in bass extension) but for games the Sennheisers rule. The microphone is good. I never get complaints that people can't understand me. It does pick up quite a bit of ambient noise. People can hear the TV in the background if it's turned up loud enough. A noise cancelling feature would be nice. I power these cans with a Behringer UB802 mixer which provides plenty of power but they are pretty efficient. My laptop can also drive them quite well but not as loud.Overall these cans get a big thumbs up from me. They are holding up very well. After a year they still look and feel like new.

This is pretty cool headset. Its is large, giving you the Mickey Mouse appearance. For ultra real flight simmers, it'd be cool.The sound is astounding. On flippin point. Currently the only game (time constraints) I play is IL-2. I have this $400 5-1 Antec Lansing speaker sets which rocks but IL-2 only does front and back, none of this surround sound.I thought I heard all there was. However in the 350, it has this extra depth and richness to the sound. The cannon and machine guns sound synthesized in the game (and lead many Il-2 players to get sound mods) but the 350 has them sounding great. Also the engine noise now sound closer to real engine.Whats tight is it does a surround sound thing which floored me when I was at my friends house playing left for dead. I almosted creamed in my pants when playing Rise of Flight at the surround sound.The microphone is cool too, you can even record and for the most part, keeps your voice.I've had other "premium gaming" headsets and I friggin sound like a chick or tinny chipmunk version of my true manly baritone. I'm there to play and relax and have fun, not entertain some of the single forever gamer dudes as they get all excited on Teamspeak, saying I'm trying to deny I'm a girl.Well it doesn't help that my playing skills are average LOL.But not the 350, I sound like myself, which is damn cool.The headsets comfortable . . . The most I've worn this was for 4 hours and it sat nicely and didn't cramp my ears or slide so it felt funny. Comfy.Its adjustable and fits my head. One thing if you don't adjust it it can slide in weird positions. My friend has a strange shaped head (his words) and it slides off because he doesn't adjust it.The track IR pro clip fits with this headset, and holds on.The weight is barely noticable, but it is bigger than most headsets, so sometimes if you're scratching your head, you might brush and push the headset out of position, dangerous if you're in a critical fire fight or moment in the engagement w/ an enemy ace.It is of good make and materials. I haven't done crazy things like throw it across the room in anger, so I can't comment on its combat toughness.Oh also remember to switch your sound from surround speakers to headphones / headset, the 350 sounds way better when your PC sound driver / audio manager is set to headphones while using it. Some people buy great headsets and complain they aren't like surround, and they suck, but they forget to switch from 9.1 / theater to headset.

I purchased these to use with my laptop and could not be any happier. For the money, I think they are outstanding. The sound quality and frequency range is fantastic! They are lightweight and seem well constructed and durable. I have listened to mp3's and watched movies with them and they are equally impressive. I have not used the microphone as of yet though. I highly recommend them.

This is my fifth gaming headset and from the gaming experience so far, should be the last headset I buy for quite some time.On the objective side of things, this headset is quite comfortable with no part of either ear "cup" resting on any part of the respective ears. They don't squeeze too tightly, and do adjust for large heads that you might see on NFL football players. My ten year-old child wears these quite comfortably as well; a head size on the other end of the spectrum.I've seen various reviews remarking of ears becoming warm and I suppose they might; a little. But nothing really worth talking about.External noise is blocked well when gaming or listening to music.The microphone is more than satisfactory in both design and in clarity. Easy adjustment and movement, and excellent voice reproduction- well, the various people with whom I've gamed all say it's been clear and undistorted.The one feature very different from my previous headsets (and many others) is the link/pivot/hinge connecting the the ear cups to the headband. Very well thought-out design and allows for additional customization of comfort.Most people, myself included, don't pick up a headset with both hands- one on each ear cup. Instead it's a quick grab of one cup with one hand whereby a fair amount of pressure is placed on that particular hinge. Over time, that begins to break or weaken components. Not so with this headset.Regarding frequency reproduction, I've run CDs used for tuning mixers with frequency sweeps/white noise/pink noise and I am impressed. While nothing's impossible, I've not yet encountered any distortion with gaming, music or the aforementioned tuning CD.Granted- distortion potential relies in part, on the quality of the source. On a side note, the soundcard I currently use on my gaming system is the old workhorse Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeMusic (I really *should* upgrade that component).On the subjective side: "Properly" encoded music files have sounded delicious with clear lows, mids, and highs.Gaming has become a new world for me with so much more clarity, lovely undistorted explosions, and arresting immersion (Bioshock!).Okay... enough of the cheesy adjectives. I'm impressed by this headset. I like this headset. And I will use this headset until it falls apart or until whenever someone gifts me a professional headset.In a previous professional life, I was a DJ and audio editor in television and radio. Keep in mind, this headset is not intended for reference audio production but they've been perfectly adequate for my continued amateur work with Reason, Adobe Audition, etc.Though I was apprehensive prior to purchase, I have NO qualms about the money spent.(edit) It's some days later I'm drinking Cuba Libras listening to Shaggy in Creative Labs "Entertainment Mode" and the bass is ... well, my only wish would be for this headset to be wireless to make living-room dancing easier. (/edit)(08/12/09 edit) This headset is _GREAT_ with Rosetta Stone! (/edit)(03/01/13 edit) Just checked back on this headset Amazon page. Wow. The price has really gone up since 2009. The product description here simply says: "Simple plug and play". After receiving this product, I couldn't get the mic to work on my Macbook Pro. After digging around, I finally saw the asterisk on the Sennheiser website (if you click on the Description tab; nothing about it on the product main page):## ** For Mac use, please order the UUSB 1 accessory adapter or use PC 36**Obviously, I am returning this item. I just wanted to put this review here so others won't waste their time ordering this product if it is for a Mac.
